Ideas, plot bunnys that won't let go, possible future stories. feel free to pick up the stories if you like them.

And we're back with another entry to the Vault, this time an answer to DZ2s The Power Within challenge, rules below:

DZ2's 'The Power Within' Challenge

Plot: Harry has faced, cheated and defied Death so many times in Hogwarts, but his latest escape from the next great adventure has one small drawback: something else came back with him and is now awake, but, hang on, Harry's still Harry...isn't he?

Rules: All affinities are welcome

The reborn spirit must be from another fandom

The spirit within Harry MUST be the cause of his scar, pains and visions: NO Horcrux-Harry stories

Even though Harry and the spirit are from different worlds, Harry is still Harry and can use his 'others' powers as though he was them (Told you it was unusual.)

At times, someone - either in the magical world or from the other fandom - must call Harry by the name that they believe him to be

With Harry's 'rebirth' and the apparent 'fusion' of the two souls, Harry MUST become stronger and more than just the normal canon Golden Boy

When Harry is 'reborn' with his new powers and co-identity is up to you, but it MUST be at a time where he nearly dies or in the aftermath of one of his adventures

All pairings are welcome EXCEPT Harems

Guidelines: Immortal Harry

Dark-Lord Harry

Using his new powers, Harry seeks to change his life for his own good and no-one else's

The Golden Trio disband

Slash

Harry can somehow 'interact' with his other self through dreams and/or meditations

Harry chooses to leave Hogwarts for whatever world the other fandom is a part of

Forbidden: Harry forsaking his 'other side's' powers

The spirit that Harry 'appears' to be assuming full control and 'killing' Harry's soul

Horcrux-Harry

Harems

Other than that, it's up to you...

The soul this time is the Good Hunter from Bloodborne. This should be interesting. Enjoy!

Hunter of Souls

12 year old Harry James Potter stared at the teenaged memory that had just revealed himself as Voldemort, as well as how he was the one responsible for practically everything that had gone wrong that year.

"Now, Harry, I'm going to teach you a little lesson. Let's match the powers of Lord Voldemort, Heir of Salazar Slytherin, against famous Harry Potter, and the best weapons Dumbledore can give him. . . ."

He cast an amused eye over Fawkes and the Sorting Hat, who had arrived when Harry had defended Dumbledore earlier, then walked away. Harry watched as the shade of Voldemort walked towards the huge statue of what had to be Slytherin, his fingers digging into the aged material of the hat as his fists clenched. He knew he should be scared, but all he could feel was anger. Anger at this monster who had taken everything from him, his parents, his best friend and, if he wasn't stopped, his friends sister. He couldn't forgive him, not ever. After all…

"I never forgive those who have taken from me," whispered Harry.

As the words left his mouth, an image appeared in his mind of two familiar girls being consumed with fire and ice and a huge, black monster with glowing eyes hidden in shadows.

"Speak to me Slytherin, greatest of the Hogwarts Four!" hissed Riddle, snapping Harry out of his trance.

Harry wheeled around to look up at the statue, Fawkes swaying on his shoulder. Slytherin's gigantic stone face was moving. Horrorstruck, Harry saw his mouth opening, wider and wider, to make a huge black hole. And something was stirring inside the statue's mouth. Something was slithering up from its depths.

Harry backed away until he hit the dark Chamber wall, and as he shut his eyes tight he felt Fawkes' wing sweep his cheek as he took flight. Harry wanted to shout, "Don't leave me!" but what chance did a phoenix have against the king of serpents? Something huge hit the stone floor of the Chamber. Harry felt it shudder — he knew what was happening, he could sense it, could almost see the giant serpent uncoiling itself from Slytherin's mouth. Then he heard Riddle's hissing voice:

"Kill him."

The basilisk was moving toward Harry; he could hear its heavy body slithering heavily across the dusty floor. Eyes still tightly shut, Harry began to run blindly sideways, his hands outstretched, feeling his way along as he tried to block out Riddles laughter. Harry tripped, falling hard onto the stone, tasting blood. The serpent was barely feet from him, he could hear it coming. There was a loud, explosive spitting sound right above him, and something heavy hit Harry so hard that he was smashed into the wall. The impact forced the air from his lungs and his eyes open, right as the Basilisk loomed over him.

Harry's eyes blinked open. That was strange, when did he close them? And when did the damp stone turn into a carpeted floor? Harry slowly pushed himself up to his feet, looking around at his new surroundings. He was in what appeared to be a workshop of some kind, lit by the warm glow of candles and oddly red moonlight that leaked through the high windows. He was laying in front of an altar of some kind with an odd, brand like artifact resting in a bowl of pale blue dust. Behind the altar was a slightly raised area with a wooden statue of a woman set into an alcove. The walls of the workshop were lined with shelves of books, ingredients and workbenches, one of which had a number of weapons hung above it and an empty wheelchair sat in front of the window with a cane leaning against it.

Harry slowly made his way to the window and looked out. It appeared that the workshop lay inside a graveyard if the huge number of worn gravestones was anything to go by. There were two doors leading out of the workshop, one that lead to an area with five large stone with chalice full of what looked like dried blood resting at the base, while the other led out and down past a number of better cared for stones that had names carved into them and led down towards a pair of large, iron gates.

"Come."

Harry jumped as an oddly familiar voice suddenly whispered in his ear, despite the fact he was alone.

"Whos there?" demanded Harry, his hand going to his pocket for his wand.

Much to his horror, Harry found that his wand was gone, likely still on the Chamber floor.

"Come," said the voice again, this time accompanied by the sound of rusted hinges creaking as the gates opened.

Harry hesitated for a moment, before deciding that there was really no other choice as there seemed to be no other way to go. He left the workshop and made his way down the path towards the gates. On the other side of the gates was a large meadow of white flowers with a large, dead tree in one corner and more graves around the edge. Stood on the far side of the meadow, looking up at the blood red moon that hung over the Workshop was a figure clad in black, leaning on a cane. He wore a long coat with a short shoulder cape, black leather boots and a black, tattered looking hat.

"Welcome Harry," said the figure as Harry approached, "I've been waiting for you."

"Who are you?" asked Harry.

The man turned, revealing that his coats high collar and hat served to hide his face nearly completely except for his luminous green eyes.

"Once I was known simply as the Good Hunter, however, the name I carried before I came to this place…"

He reached up and removed his hat and high collar, revealing his face. At the sight of it, Harrys eyes widened and he stumbled back.

"Was Harry Potter," finished the stranger.

His face was nearly identical to Harry's, albeit a little older. The only difference between the two was the other Harrys lack of scar and the three black lines, one below his eyes and the other in the center of his forehead, and the fact that his eyes were black where the white should have been, causing the green to seem even more luminous than usual.

And I'm gonna end this here. I know its short, but that seems like as good a place as any. Basically, the soul in this case is the Hunter (obvs) who refused Mercy and then killed the Moon Presence. In other words, that makes him a Great One. What does that mean for Harry? Who knows. Please leave a review!
