Cap 3: The one that protects
Noelle was sitting on the desk chair in her room looking at the window with a pensive look, she was sad since as usual for her, her older brothers bothered her for no reason, just to make her feel pathetic since they loved it and the only one of her brothers who treated her decently was working late as usual, at least she would have some happiness since her best friend in the whole world was going to visit her, the bad thing is that her brothers were sure to bother him just because he was from a poor neighborhood.
Suddenly, something brought Noelle out of her thoughts: through her window she could see Spider-Man swinging, which made her very excited.
During the month that has passed since Spider-Man first appeared Noelle has been a big fan of his since he saved her from muggers once, he has also arrested several criminals and saved many people, she never thought that something like superheroes existed but out of nowhere this guy dressed in a red and black suit appeared and made her hopeful, unfortunately her brother Nozel did not like Spider-Man at all and wanted to put him in prison.
Noelle quickly grabbed her cell phone to take a photo of Spider-Man as he was swinging and it looked pretty good, she was going to show it to Asta when he came to visit.
During the night, after a long day of fighting crime, our hero: Spider-Man, swings through the city with his webbing until he reaches the roof of a building where he takes off his suit and changes into his usual clothes to become his civilian alter ego: Asta.
You must be wondering: What was Asta doing heading to this building? Well, he was going to see his best friend in the whole world: Noelle. Although he was currently busy with his superhero activities, he was trying to maintain his personal relationships, especially with his family and with Noelle.
He had arranged to meet Noelle to hang out at her house; his relationship with her hadn't changed much with his current situation, that's why he wanted to spend whatever free time he had with her, there was just one small problem.
"And now, how am I going to get down from here?" the hero asked himself.
After making sure (TOO SURE) that no one was watching him, Asta spidery down the wall until he reached the door of Noelle's house and immediately knocked on the door eager to see her.
Unfortunately for the hero, it was not Noelle who welcomed him, but Noelle's older brother, Solid Silva, who opened the door for him.
Like Noelle, Solid had silver hair, he was taller than her, dressed in a white dress shirt and white pants, and wore black shoes.
"Noelle, your pet is standing in front of the door, get him out of here." Solid said as he glared hatefully at Asta.
To be honest with himself, Asta did not like Noelle's brothers, unlike her they were arrogant and conceited, in the few times he has seen them they always pick on him because of his economic situation, he did not understand how someone as wonderful as Noelle was the sister of those idiots.
She had a third brother, but Asta never met him because, according to Noelle, he worked late all the time.
Asta didn't say a word to Solid and just walked past him as he only came to see Noelle and not to waste time arguing with him, once inside the house Asta saw Noelle's other sister: Nebra Silva.
Nebra also had silver hair, was a tall woman and was dressed in an elegant lilac dress.
"Agh, it's Staria again, I hope you get the hell out of here soon after seeing that useless Noelle." Nebra said as she looked at Asta with disgust.
The only thing Asta wanted at that moment was to shoot his web into Nebra's mouth to shut her up and also give her and Solid a beating for the way they treated him and Noelle, but even though he had the power to do it at that moment he also had the responsibility not to use his powers to not reveal his secret identity or to harm Noelle in the future, so he just ignored Nebra as well.
"Asta? Is that you?" Noelle asked with great happiness when she heard that her best friend had come to visit her.
"The unique and incomparable." Asta said as he smiled.
"Come into my room, I have something great to show you." Noelle said.
"Sure." Asta said.
As Asta and Noelle left, Solid and Nebra looked on with disdain.
"I always knew Noelle was a loser, but to be friends with that loser Staria? It's our misfortune." Solid said.
"I guess useless insects are attracted to each other." Nebra said with a mocking tone.
Asta and Noelle entered the room to avoid being disturbed by Solid and Nebra, and then Noelle excitedly showed Asta the photo of Spider-Man.
"I just took it just before you arrived. Don't you think it's the best Spider-Man photo you've ever seen?" Noelle asked Asta with excitement.
"Wow Noelle, I didn't know you knew about photography!" Asta said happily.
"When did she take me that photo!? Did she see me change my suit!? Does she know I'm Spider-Man!?" Asta thought in panic
This was pretty bad; it was very likely that Noelle had discovered his secret. What was he supposed to do at this moment?
"Did you happen to see who Spider-Man was under his mask?" Asta asked with a curious tone.
"Honestly no, I couldn't see him under his mask, but I'm sure he must still be around." Noelle said to Asta.
"You have no idea." Asta thought.
"Anyway, I didn't know you were so good with the camera Noelle, the photo you took is amazing." Asta said.
"O-obviously it would look amazing since I was the one who took it." Noelle said with a slight blush.
Asta always had positive comments for her and always made her feel happy, he was always kind and gentle, and in the few times he has seen her family he is always respectful to them, even though her brothers were quite rude to him.
Although Noelle would never admit it, she was deeply in love with Asta and that made her very happy even though she was always mistreated by her brothers.
"B-but hey, how have you and your family been doing?" Noelle asked, trying to hide her blush.
Then, Asta began to reflect on his life now that he was a superhero.
"Well, we've been doing well recently, but I still have my doubts about the future." Asta admitted, doubting his words.
"What happens?" Noelle asked.
"I have a lot of responsibilities now, more than I thought I would have in my whole life, I don't know if I can go to college or if I can get a job to help mom and Liebe with the house, but I also don't know what to do with my other obligations and I'm just getting started with them." the hero explained to Noelle.
"That… sounds like a lot of stress, maybe if you left your new responsibilities for later…" Noelle suggested to Asta.
"It's not that easy, if I leave these things for later... I will disappoint many people, including... Yuno." Asta said.
"Then... Those responsibilities are something you promised Yuno?" Noelle asked Asta with nerves in her voice.
Noelle never liked Yuno, but she knew that his death had been very hard for Asta, so she respected him.
"Yes... You could say so." Asta admitted with a heavy regret in his voice.
"I wish I could help you more, it doesn't seem fair that you have so many doubts and feel trapped by them." Noelle said to Asta feeling powerless.
"You do enough for me by listening to my problems, I haven't told my mom or my brother about any of this." Asta said to Noelle smiling gently.
"So why can you tell me about it?" Noelle asked.
"Because I know that I can count on you for anything, I know that I can always count on you for everything, even when I can't count on my family." Asta responded with all his sincerity.
Then, an idea crossed the hero's mind and made him feel like a moron.
"If you trust her as much as you are telling her why don't you tell her you're secret? Idiot." Asta asked himself.
"Well... Thank you for trusting me so much Asta, I don't know what you are going through at the moment, but I want to help you as much as I can and I will." Noelle said to Asta as she put her hand on his shoulder.
"Thank you very much Noelle, I mean it." Asta said to his best friend, while smiling at her.
The moment of happiness between the two was interrupted when Asta's pang was activated.
Asta didn't want to leave Noelle so soon, let alone leave her alone with her pair of idiotic brothers, but he had to help people in danger.
"Hey Noelle, I have to go, I…I'm sorry." Asta said to Noelle with much regret.
Noelle was confused by Asta's sudden warning, though she assumed it was because of what they had just talked about.
"I understand; if you need someone to talk to remember I will always be here for you." Noelle said to Asta.
"Thank you Noelle, you are the best." the hero said.
After Asta left Noelle went back to her room a little sad, until out of nowhere she heard an explosion in the distance, she ran to her window to see what it was and saw a building on fire, just in the direction Asta had gone.
Noelle quickly called Asta to make sure he was okay, but he was not answering her calls, which made her very worried, fortunately she immediately saw something or rather someone which relieved her, he was swinging towards the site of the fire.
"Make way for the superhero!" The Amazing Spider-Man said as he sprang into action.
Spider-Man arrived at the burning building and began searching for any trapped residents who might be inside.
Quickly the hero inspected the highest floors of the building in search of people to rescue, using his web he prevented a pile of brooms from crushing a married couple, knocked down several doors to get people out before the fire spread further.
"All right, I hope that do all of them, now somebody call the fire department quick, this place is going to collapse." Spider-Man told the civilians he had just saved.
"Wait, Spider-Man! There's still a girl trapped in the building! We have to save her too!" one of the civilians warned the hero.
"I'll take care of saving her, the rest of you go to a safe place." Spider-Man said as he re-entered the burning building.
Spider-Man looked for the girl as fast as he could, but he couldn't find her, even so he refused to let her die in this place, he had to save her no matter what it cost him.
Finally Spider-Man found her standing completely still, she was a girl of average height with pink hair and turquoise eyes who looked slightly older than him, she was dressed in a wine-red coat, a black top and black shorts.
"Don't worry miss, I'll get you out of here right aw..." Spider-Man was about to say, until he sensed danger with his pang.
A huge blast of fire came out of the girl and headed for Spider-Man, fortunately the hero managed to dodge it in time, at that moment Spider-Man saw that the girl had an empty look full of rage in her eyes.
"This fire is supposed to kill all those monsters. Why did you save them?" the girl asked Spider-Man with a stern and angry tone.
"Wait a minute, you started the fire? Why?" Spider-Man asked.
"That's none of your business, die." the girl said while shooting fire at the hero.
Spider-Man dodges the fire and tries to wrap his web around the girl, but she burns her with ease.
The girl approaches Spider-Man and hits him hard, knocking him out of the building.
As he falls, Spider-Man throws webbing into the girl's eyes, blinding her for a few seconds, giving him enough time to attack her.
After successfully hitting the girl a few times, the hero tries to wrap her up again.
"Listen, I'm not a fan of hitting women, so stop now and I'll let you go." Spider-Man said.
At that moment a kind of dragon manifested out of nowhere behind the girl, shot fire at her to free her from Spider-Man's restraints and she was unharmed.
"I don't need you to negotiate with me, the next time I see you I will burn you alive." the girl warned the hero as she rode away on the dragon.
The next second Spider-Man noticed that the building had completely collapsed and decided to go to see if there were no injuries in the area.
Fortunately there were no serious injuries and everyone had made it out of the fire, Spider-Man was relieved.
"Well, since the situation has been fixed, I am no longer needed here, anyone who needs help ask for it." Spider-Man said as he left the scene.
After arriving home, Asta entered his room through the window to avoid being seen by Licita and Liebe, immediately he only took off his mask and threw himself on his bed, not bothering to take off the rest of his suit due to fatigue.
Tonight was definitely interesting, Noelle almost found out, he left her abandoned with her idiot brothers, a girl almost reduced him to ashes and said girl escaped and is now running around the city free to burn things, just another day in the routine of the superhero Spidey.
"Now I just hope I can get some sleep so I can rest." Asta thought as he closed his eyes to sleep.
But an unexpected guest arrived in Asta's room.
"Asta, honey? Can I come in?" Licita asked to her son.
"Ehhh… No!" Asta said quickly as his fatigue completely drained away.
Asta noticed that he was still wearing his suit, so he tried to take it off at full speed.
"Noelle called and said you were coming home, but I didn't see you when you arrived." Licita explained.
"Give me a second, mom! I'll get it… Just give me a second!" Asta said as he desperately tried to take off his suit.
"Come on Asta, let me in, I'm not mad at you." Licita said.
"I am trying to get..." Asta tried to say before noticing that her mother was opening the door.
"Asta, I..." Licita said as Asta quickly got into bed.
"No, no! You can't come in, stay outsid- Ehhh… I'm so naked…!" Asta tried to lie without success.
At that moment Asta noticed that one of the boots of his suit was on the ground, so he quickly used his web to grab it.
"Are you all right?" Licita asked.
"Yeah. I'm okay. I'm just… I'm very naked right now…" Asta said nervously.
"What happened to your face? It's filthy." Licita asked doubtfully.
"Ehhh… I was cleaning the chimney." the hero replied.
"Asta, we have no chimney." Licita said raising an eyebrow.
"Whaaaat?" Asta asked trying to sound surprised.
"Asta…" Licita said as she looked doubtfully at her son.
"Okay, I'm so sorry mom. Next time I will let you know when I get home." Asta said.
"Okay, but don't worry so much, I love you too much for anything to happen to you." Licita said.
Asta smiled.
"Thanks mom, I love you too." Asta said to his mom.
Licita just smiled and left.
Immediately Asta felt relaxed.
"Okay, break's over." Asta thought.
Asta finally took off his suit in peace and went to see his mother.
Meanwhile, Nero was still investigating the spider 00; she was very surprised at what she had discovered.
This spider could hardly be classified as such due to the multiple genetic experiments to which she had been exposed, she did not know why or who had mutated the spider so much.
It also had a strange substance inside it that she had never seen before.
Originally Nero had only taken the spider to analyze it to make sure it wasn't poisonous, but now she was very intrigued by the mystery surrounding it.
At that moment Nero extended her hand and through her fingers shot a strange white substance similar to a thread and used it to bring a cup of coffee, then drank it to continue her research.
That and the rest of her new powers looked like they would come in handy later on.
The next day at school, Asta sought out Noelle to apologize to her for leaving her last night.
Fortunately, she didn't seem upset.
The hero calmed down a lot, but something bad was about to happen to him.
Asta felt his pang activate and that was never a good sign.
Asta quickly looked around to find the danger that was close to him and was very frightened to see where the danger was coming from.
He saw that it was about the dragon girl who almost killed him yesterday.
"What is she doing here!? Why is she here!? This is wrong, this is very, very wrong!" Asta thought in panic.
The girl noticed that Asta was watching her, so she approached him.
"I'm dead." the hero thought.
"Excuse me; do you need something from me? I'm a little uncomfortable with the way you see me." the girl said to Asta.
"Oh, it was that, sorry, I didn't mean to bother you, it's just that... uh... I'm sorry..." Asta said to the girl, without finding a good excuse.
"Well, you don't seem to be a problem, anyway, goodbye." the girl said with a blank stare as she walked away leaving Asta behind.
"Okay, uh... take care, I'm Asta by the way." the hero said introducing him.
"Fana." the girl said introducing herself and finally leaving Asta behind.
"Apparently she didn't recognize me; I'd better follow her to see what she's up to." Asta thought as he left.
After school, Asta began to follow Fana making sure she didn't notice him, after a few minutes he decided to hide in an alley and put on his suit.
Spider-Man began to move through the walls of the buildings following Fana, but then he detected an imminent danger even though Fana was still not doing anything; he looked around and saw a strange group of people dressed in white capes that definitely looked suspicious.
He also saw that Fana was coming towards them, they are probably related.
Spider-Man got as close as he could to see, trying not to be detected by anyone.
"Miss Fana, good news, Licht-sama and the rest have found a place to stay while we are here in Clover." one of the hooded men said.
"Now we just have to see that everything goes according to Licht-sama's plan and then this city will fall into chaos." other hooded man said.
Spider-Man thought that sounded pretty bad.
"Tell Licht to watch out for the police and a strange person dressed in a red and black suit." Fana ordered the hooded men.
"A person dressed in a red and black suit? Not that Spider-Man that everyone in city is talking about?" one hooded man asked.
"Nonsense, those are just rumors, besides he wouldn't be able to fight Licht-sama or any of us, after all we are the Byakuya No Magan." other hooded man said.
"So the Byakuya No Magan, huh? It seems that Fana works with them and this Licht must be their boss." Asta thought.
These guys were definitely dangerous if they had someone like Fana in their ranks and they seemed to rely a lot on the strength of their boss, the best Spider-Man could do is wait for them to tell him where their lair was.
"Anyone who may be a threat to our plan should not be taken lightly." Fana said.
At that moment, a small orange lizard climbed onto Fana's shoulder.
"What's happening, Lizard?" Fana asked to her pet.
Fana's expression changed abruptly and she now looked exalted.
Spider-Man sensed danger and quickly moved from where he was before he was burned by Fana's flames.
"Hello again Miss Fire Sun, I did not expect to find you like this." Spider-Man said to Fana and her henchmen.
"You must be Spider-Man. How did you locate us?" Fana asked.
"That doesn't matter, now here are two options. Option one: you tell me where your lair is or some way to find your boss and you surrender peacefully to the authorities. Option two: I beat you until you give me the information." Spider-Man said.
"You cannot threaten me." Fana said before turning her little lizard into a huge dragon.
"Oh oh…" the hero said.
The dragon spews a huge amount of fire from its mouth, forcing Spider-Man to get out of there, and then Fana's henchmen got in front of him in fighting position.
"We won't let you near Miss Fana, spider!" a Magan member said.
"No one threatens the Byakuya No Magan, least of all an insect like you." other Magan member said to the hero.
"Do not let the spider escape from here alive!" a third member said.
Two Magan members attack Spider-Man, so he dodges them and shoots his web in their eyes to stun them, but then he detects danger nearby, so he dodges a blow that was aimed at him and counterattacks him with a kick, at that moment two more members arrive and attack him from behind but the hero dodges them easily and also blinds them with his web.
"I can't believe it, this guy is really strong." one member said in awe of Spider-Man.
"Well, these guys are definitely easier than Revchi or Heath, but I'm outnumbered, I just have to hold my own and th-" Asta thought before being hit by one of the members.
"Relax, the spider was just getting lucky, let's fini-" another member told his companions, before being beaten by Spider-Man.
"I didn't feel the pang. Why? Doesn't it warn me of any danger? So far it had not faile-" Asta thought before being hit again.
"Attack him while he is distracted!" other member said.
That's when Spider-Man realizes something.
"Perhaps I can only detect danger if I stay focused." Asta thought.
Spider-Man quickly focuses on his enemies, then he manages to dodge several of their attacks and then hit several of them leaving them unconscious, one of them tries to attack him from behind but Spider-Man manages to detect the danger and dodge the attack, at that moment the hero kicks his enemy in the chin making him fly through the air and just when he was going to fall in front of him he gave him another kick in the stomach throwing him across the street.
"How do you like that, losers? And now there's only… Fana..." Spider-Man said before realizing that Fana was gone.
"Now where the heck is that crazy girl?" Asta asked before hearing an explosion nearby.
Noelle was walking alone through the streets, but then she heard an explosion near where she was, which scared her very much and she also saw Spider-Man swinging on his web and seemed to be heading towards where the explosion had been.
Noelle quickly went to the site of the explosion as well.
Spider-Man swing at full speed to investigate the explosion, it was very likely that the cause was Fana or maybe one of the other Magans, anyway he could not allow people to get hurt, so he had to hurry.
When Spider-Man arrived at the site of the explosion he did not find Fana, but several buildings destroyed and many people seriously injured, there were also many members of the Byakuya No Magan victorious.
"Attention everyone, Miss Fana will be here any minute; we have to make sure there are no survivor's left." a Magan member said.
"I am sure she and Licht-sama will be very satisfied with our work." another member said.
"I heard that these stupid people were protected by a guy dressed in red, I think that like them he is a coward." a third member said.
"Maybe that protector was just an urban myth, which means that this disgusting city has its day's numbered." another member said.
At that moment Fana arrived at the site of the explosion and looked around at the damage her henchmen had caused.
"I see you have fulfilled your role, you better hope everyone here is dead or you will be the ones to die." Fana said.
"D-don't worry Miss Fana, we will make sure everyone is de-" a member said before he was shot spider web in the mouth.
"All right, you guys have already pissed me off, you'd better stop at once or else you'll get hurt." Spider-Man said in anger.
"It seems that the spider will continue to bother us, I will have to burn it." Fana said as she stepped off her dragon.
"All right, you want to do it the hard way, here I go." Spider-Man said.
At that moment, several people who were trapped in the rubble and more people who were around the explosion site watched as the fight between Spider-Man and the Byakuya No Magan began.
"Look! It's Spider-Man! He's come to save us!" one person shouted.
Spider-Man prepares to fight against the Byakuya No Magan, he immediately shoots his web to the face of one of them to blind him and then hits him and then two more members try to attack him from behind, but both are countered with a kick, taking the opportunity, Spider-Man ran towards one of them and gave him a spinning kick on the chin to stun him and while he was in the air he shot him web in the face and then pull it down to slam him to the ground.
"Don't think you'll win spider." a Magan member said before being kicked in the face by Spider-Man.
"Tell that to your friends, you are all going to be arrested by the police as soon as I am done with you." Spider-Man said.
Two members try to hit Spider-Man who dodges the attack of one and blocks the attack of the other, then a third member takes advantage and manages to hit the hero in the stomach, but quickly recovers and shoots his web in his eyes to blind him, then Spider-Man hits a member in the face leaving him unconscious and another one leaves him stuck to the ground with his web and the last one hits him hard in the face leaving him stunned, taking advantage of that he quickly gives him another blow in the face leaving him even more stunned and finally gives him a spinning kick in the back of the neck leaving him out of combat.
While all this was going on, several people watched Spider-Man's fight against the Byakuya No Magan and were frightened by it.
"T-those guys are giving Spider-Man a hard time!" a frightened person shouted.
"I-I'm not sure he can win this time." other person said.
"Quick! Somebody call the police!" other person said.
"Geez, this is tiring." Asta thought to himself as he tried to stand upright.
"Useless." Fana said to her henchmen with a fury she could barely contain.
"All right, Miss Fire Sun, it's just you and me." Spider-Man said as he prepared to fight.
Fana looked at the hero with hatred and rage; she wanted to kill him very much.
"I warned you that the next time we met I would burn you alive, it's time to do it." Fana said to Spider-Man as she climbed onto her dragon.
"Sorry, but being burned alive by a pyromaniac girl and her pet is not on my bucket list." Spider-Man said sarcastically.
"I don't care. Die." Fana said before shooting her fire at Spider-Man.
The hero dodged several fireballs thrown by Fana, he tried to get her off his dragon with his webs but she was burning them, then Spider-Man climbed nearby walls to propel himself and jump over Fana and her dragon, then he shot his web to the ground to use it as an impulse to attack Fana, but she dodges him so she takes the opportunity to make her dragon attack him in the chest with his claws, then the dragon bites with great force Spider-Man's shoulder causing him a lot of damage.
"AAAAAHHHHGGG!" Spider-Man cried out in pain.
Instinctively, Spider-Man hits the dragon in the eye, causing him temporary blindness and a lot of pain, thanks to which he manages to free himself from the dragon.
"Oh no… This hurts so much. I don't know if I can keep u-" Asta thought before being punched in the face by Fana.
"I will crush you spider…" Fana said in anger.
"I didn't detect that... but I was concentrating. Why couldn't I detect the danger this time?" Asta thought.
At that moment the hero saw his multiple wounds that he had received during the fight.
"If I am unfocused or if I am too injured, I won't be able to detect the danger, that's the only thing I can think of." Asta theorizes.
"You will not leave here alive." Fana said.
"Now I have to be even more attentive to your attacks…" Spider-Man said.
Spider-Man and Fana continued their combat at a distance after Fana's dragon recovered after a few seconds, Fana gained height which made it easier for her to attack Spider-Man with her fire, but the hero using his web as a catapult managed to get to where Fana was and tried to hit her but she dodged and counterattacked him with a blow and then managed to give him a fireball.
"You are not skilled enough to defeat me, just die once." Fana said to Spider-Man.
Spider-Man's suit was quite damaged from the torso and a little of the mask, but at least it had protected him from serious burns, without wasting time the hero launches again against Fana but she hits him again, leaving him on the ground, despite that Spider-Man gets up and shoots his web in Fana's eyes but she burns them in an instant, Fortunately this distracts her enough for Spider-Man to hide and attack her from behind, throwing a large amount of debris with his webbing which manages to hurt her and her dragon, taking advantage of that, Spider-Man approaches her and hits her in the face, the dragon tries to defend Fana but Spider-Man quickly wraps him completely with his web and kicks him with all his strength taking him out of the fight, then Fana tries to attack Spider-Man again with fire but he dodges and hits her again now with more force.
The police were almost there and people were still watching the fight with fear and amazement.
"I can't believe it..." one person said while trembling with fear.
"Even with all that, Spider-Man still doesn't defeat her." other person in fear said.
Then Noelle Silva arrives on the scene to calm the situation.
"Everyone calm down and help the survivors, trust Spidey to defeat her." Noelle said.
Back to the fight, both Spider-Man and Fana were badly injured and exhausted, barely able to stand.
"Fire Sun... Surrender at once or one of us will die." Spider-Man said very tired.
Fana just looked at him with all the hatred in her being.
"You are right; one of us will die... And it's going to be you." Fana said before throwing fire at Spider-Man again.
Spider-Man couldn't dodge it and ended up burning his mask even more, revealing a bit of his green eye, he hoped no one would notice.
The hero with his last strength managed to see around him, the explosion that the Byakuya No Magan caused left several buildings destroyed, where innocent people lived, where some had their businesses with which they tried to give a decent life to their families and themselves with hard work day by day, there were people lying on the ground and around, people who had not done anything to them were now seriously injured, some perhaps with wounds that would harm them for the rest of their lives or even dead, there were also scared people who tried to help the survivors, afraid that something similar would happen to them, among these people I saw someone I knew very well: the best friend he had ever had in his whole life, someone he loved as much as his mother or his older brother: Noelle, she was now in the middle of this chaos and in front of him was a person who was obviously suffering, he didn't know why she wanted to kill him or why she wanted to hurt these people, but it was obvious that she was also scared and sad, all this was a complete madness.
With all the determination in his being, Spider-Man forced himself to stand, at least until he could stop Fana.
"Not yet... I'm not giving up yet!" Spider-Man shouted with all his strength and will.
Spider-Man threw himself against Fana and attacked her with all his remaining strength, but Fana also began to attack him, both hit each other violently trying to stand up and after hitting each other several times for a few minutes that seemed to be hours, Spider-Man shoots his web to wrap her and hit her making her rise, finally he shoots his web again and pulls her with all his remaining strength to crash her to the ground and finally defeats her.
Just when Spider-Man has a little breathing room, Fana gets up, but without enough strength to continue fighting the hero.
"You... Even though your life was in danger and even though you didn't know these people who have done nothing for you, why did you take the risk just for them?" Fana asked.
Before Fana noticed his broken mask, Spider-Man used what little web he had left to cover the broken part of the mask.
"Why it is my duty... these people couldn't defend themselves, but I could defend them... so I have the responsibility to do it, even if I'm the one who gets hurt..." the hero explained with difficulty to remain conscious.
Finally the police arrived.
"Everyone with your hands up, now!" a policeman orders while pointing a gun.
"Wait for the arrival of reinforcements and captain Silva." other police said.
"You are welcome, officers…" Spider-Man said as he approached the policemen.
"Sorry Spidey, we appreciate your help but we must also take you in for questioning." a policeman explained to the hero.
"I'm sorry, but I will not let them take me with you, I will only tell you what is important: they call themselves Byakuya No Magan and this will not be their only attack on the city, apparently their boss has already found a place to settle, I suggest you look for it immediately." the hero explained before being interrupted by a warning shot.
Noelle was shocked to see her older brother there.
"You're not going anywhere spider, you've already made enough messes." Nozel Silva threatened while pointing his gun at Spider-Man.
"Oh great, you again, dude, I just almost died from doing your job in case you haven't noticed." Spider-Man said complaining.
"It is no excuse, what you are doing is illegal, you can't do whatever you want just because you think you are doing the right thing." Nozel said to the hero.
"I don't care, just take this girl, I call her Miss Fire Sun, but… I think her henchmen called her Fana…" Spider-Man said before being interrupted by a shot from Nozel.
Spider-Man could barely dodge the bullet by milliseconds because he could not yet detect the danger.
Noelle was startled and shocked to see her brother shoot Spider-Man without hesitation.
"I didn't ask you the name of this criminal; I told you: you're not going anywhere." Nozel said.
The situation was quite critical for the hero, Nozel was still pointing his gun at him, he was too wounded from his fight with Fana so he couldn't fight him, he still couldn't detect the danger, he had almost no web left as he only had enough for one more shot, which wouldn't be enough to stop him, if he tried something risky Noelle and the rest of the people could get hurt and if by chance he managed to get past Nozel maybe the rest of the cops could attack him.
"Damn it! What am I going to do now?" Asta thought as he looked for a way to escape from there.
"This is your last chance spider, surrender peacefully or the next time I shoot you I won't miss." Nozel assured as he prepared to take the next shot at Spider-Man.
"If I do anything he'll kill me, but if I do nothing I'll be arrested... Is this the end of me? Am I finally defeated? Is this the end of Asta Staria and Spider-Man? Will I never see Mom and Liebe again? Will I never see Noelle again? Have I failed Yuno...?! No... I can't give up yet, I must concentrate, I must look for a solution, there must be something I can do, any solution is good at this moment... Wait! I know what to do..." Asta thought before executing his escape plan.
Noelle watched as Spider-Man took a step forward, as if he was about to give up.
"Nozel... please don't..." Noelle said in fear.
However, Spider-Man looked directly at Nozel in a defiant manner.
"You don't have the guts to shoot me when I'm not unprotected because you know you couldn't take me on without your gun! After all look around you, I beat all these guys single-handedly, including this girl who had a giant pet dragon and could shoot fire from her hands, while you, hehehe... You didn't even have the guts to come here right away and that's why I'm here in the first place! You are nothing but a coward, any of your men would do your job better than you." Spider-Man said mocking Nozel and provoking him.
At that precise second Nozel stood completely still and his gaze went from cold and stern to one of complete terror.
The hero took advantage of the distraction to speak to Fana.
"Fana, Right? Don't worry, these guys are professionals, they will treat you better than me, I don't know what happened to you but it is obvious that you are suffering for something, you are not like the others I faced before, I don't think you are a bad person, I hope to see you again in better circumstances." Spider-Man said to Fana.
Fana was surprised; she didn't expect Spider-Man to say something like that considering they were enemies.
Nozel's gaze changed from one of complete terror to one of uncontainable anger and hatred, as if he were looking at a demon.
"AHHHHH!" Nozel screamed at the top of his lungs before shooting Spider-Man directly in the head.
"Nozel! NO!" Noelle shouted.
Spider-Man with all his concentration managed to dodge the shot and immediately used his last web to snatch Nozel's gun and then use the confusion of the moment to run away from there.
"Don't let him escape!" Nozel ordered his men as they began to pursue Spider-Man.
Spider-Man barely made it to an alleyway to hide, immediately reloaded his webs and began to swing away.
Noelle immediately went to see her older brother.
"Nozel! Are you okay?" Noelle asked worriedly.
"Noelle? What are you doing here? It's dangerous, get home as fast as you can." Nozel said.
"B-but…" Noelle said.
"Get out of here fast! Don't worry about me." Nozel ordered his sister.
Noelle resignedly left, she didn't want something bad to happen to the only one of her brothers who loved her and she didn't want him to fight with Spider-Man.
Spider-Man managed to lose the police for a few moments and quickly took the opportunity to take off his suit and return to being Asta.
"Okay, I'm safer as Asta than Spidey at this point, now I have to see if Noelle and the rest are okay." Asta thought as he sped away from there.
Asta took the opportunity to look at himself in the rearview mirror of a car that was there and fortunately he didn't look hurt, so no one would be suspicious.
Asta arrived at the site of the explosion and was relieved to see Noelle safe.
"Noelle!" Asta said.
"Asta?" Noelle asked.
"Noelle! Oh, my... Thank God you're safe." Asta said as he hugged Noelle in relief.
Noelle was surprised and blushing too much by the hug Asta was giving her.
"W-what are you doing here? Where did you come from?" Noelle asked with a blush.
"I saw an explosion far away so I came closer and-and you were near there, b-but there were a lot of people and I stopped seeing you for a moment and I-I..." Asta explained fearfully as he hugged Noelle tighter.
Noelle realized that Asta had been worried about her, so she hugged him too to de-stress him.
"Don't worry Bakasta, I'm fine, I'm sorry I worried you." Noelle said as she comforted Asta.
"I... I don't know what I would do if something happened to you, since happened to Yuno I..." Asta said before being interrupted by another voice.
"Noelle!" Nozel said calling out to his sister.
At that moment Nozel saw how Asta and Noelle were hugging each other.
"Noelle... Who is this young man and why is he hugging you?" Nozel asked in confusion.
Noelle, noticing that her brother was watching Asta's embrace, blushed and immediately pushed Asta away.
"Ouch!" the hero shouted as he fell to the ground.
"Ahhhh! B-brother! T-this is not what it looks like! Asta was just worried about me, so...! Ahhhh!" Noelle tried to explain sheepishly.
Suddenly, Asta heard a disc scratching.
"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait!? Did she just call him brother? This has got to be a joke. This jerk who almost killed me a few moments ago is her brother?" Asta asked himself in his thoughts.
"Asta? You're the Asta guy Noelle's always talking about?" Nozel asked to Asta.
"Uh... yes, I'm Asta Straria, I guess you're Noelle's older brother, it's nice to meet you." Asta said.
Asta watched as Fana was arrested and took the opportunity to change the subject.
"By the way, what are you guys doing here? Were they the ones who caused the exploitation?" Asta asked.
"That's right, we don't know why they did it, but we are going to get to the bottom of this, unfortunately one of these criminals escaped, he is lucky we are busy." Nozel explained.
"You're the one who's lucky that I'm wounded, otherwise I would have torn you to pieces in a matter of seconds, and now you're even luckier that you're Noelle's brother, because now I won't be able to hurt you, damn it." Asta thought in frustration.
"Well, I'm glad you're safe Noelle, I'll go tell my mom I'm still alive, I'll see you later." Asta said as he bid farewell to Noelle.
"Sure, be careful when you go home." Noelle said as she watched the hero leave.
"He seems like a nice guy." Nozel said casually to Noelle.
"You have no idea." Noelle said in a smitten tone.
Meanwhile Asta stopped in a nearby alley, writhing in pain.
"Damn it... My body is at the limit, I hope I heal soon... besides the suit is ruined... I should ask Vanessa-neesan to teach me how to repair it... besides I must hurry to get home or mom will get suspicious... then I'll take care of the Magan... if they have more people like Fana they are very dangerous..." Asta said as he forced himself to keep walking.
Meanwhile at the Byakuya No Magan base, all the remaining members were discussing their plans to attack the city.
The leader: Licht, watched the city from afar with hatred.
"So the protector of the city exists and managed to defeat Fana? It doesn't matter; his existence doesn't harm our plans... He was only able to defeat her by sheer luck." Licht said.
Licht just watched his army as he covered his entire body with his cloak; there were many, hundreds and hundreds of hooded men preparing to attack the city at any moment.
"Nothing and no one will stand in our way, not even him, the supposed protector of the city." Licht said, smiling under his cloak.
At that moment Licht had condemned himself to one day face Spider-Man.
Neither knew it, but their confrontation would come sooner rather than later.

Lucius Zogratis looked at the container with Yuno in it and smiled with complete confidence, and then Zenon arrived to tell him something.
"Big brother, the spider fought against individuals you didn't hire to capture it and one of them was strong enough to almost defeat it." Zenon said.
However, Lucius was still smiling.
"I don't care who ends up with Spider-Man, I only care that he is defeated to start the Paladin project. For now let's let these visitors do what they want, as long as they don't mess with us, Zenon." Lucius said.
"Understood." Zenon said.
Lucius knew that this was going to be a problem in the future, so he would try to make the most of this situation to fulfill his objectives.
