Walking through the door she was surprised to see Elliot standing in her kitchen and he was cooking. Leaning against the door frame she watched as he was talking to Noah as he was cutting veggies up, chucking them into a pan.
Deciding she had eavesdropped enough she smiled walking into the main living room.
"I'm home," she smiled, putting her bag on one of the chairs at the breakfast bar and wrapping her arm around Noah who was sat doing his homework.
"Hi mum" Noah smiled, turning to look at his mum.
"Hi sweet" she said, kissing the top of his head. "Did you have a good time with Auntie Amanda and Uncle sonny?"
"It was so cool, we had pizza and we built this huge fort and slept in sleeping bags" he smiled "Billie and Jessie also tried to give me a makeover with their makeup which wasn't as fun"
"Right," Liv laughed. She loved her god-daughters with all her heart and they with all her heart and they always made her smile "Why don't you go get washed up for dinner."
"Okay Mum" Noah said, jumping down from his seat.
Walking round into the kitchen she smiled "What are you cooking? It smells amazing." she said, looking into the pan, wrapping her arms around his waist and looking into the pan.
"Just some salt and chilli chicken with stir-fry veggies and noodles in a garlic and soy sauce." he smiled "It won't be too long" he smiled adding the sauce mix to the veggies in the pan.
"I'm just going to get changed," Olivia smiled, walking towards the bedroom.
She returned 10 minutes later in a pair of yoga pants and a NYPD zip up. she smiled watching as Noah was helping Elliot with the last minute finishing touches to dinner.
"Thought you might like one of these" Elliot Smiled handing her a glass of wine.
"Thank You" she said, taking the glass. "Anything I can do?" she asked.
"Nope it's all sorted, thanks to my sous-chef here." he smiled. "I'm just about to dish it up, sit down and relax"
"All right then" she smiled Pushing herself up onto a seat at the breakfast bar she smiled as Elliot placed a bowl in front of her. "Thank you" she smiled, picking up her fork. "This is delicious," she smiled while digging in.
Falling back against the sofa later that evening Liv sighed. She was exhausted both physically and mentally, everything that had happened definitely did not help. but at least they were somewhere with the case and they had a name. Flicking through the channels on the TV there wasn't anything on. Sighing she chucked the remote on the sofa.
Looking over from the kitchen Elliot Smiled "Everything alright?" he asked.
"Yeah" she smiled, turning to see him walking over carrying over 2 mugs.
"Hot chocolate" he said, handing her a huge mountain of whipped cream and a chocolate flake on top.
"Thank you" she smiled. "You know, you didn't have to clear up I would have done that later"
"It's fine," he said softly, sitting next to her. "so.." he paused
"You want to know about William Lewis" she whispered softly leaning forward putting her mug on the coffee table.
Putting his own drink on the table, he turned to look at her. "Only if you want to," he said softly.
"Lewis… " she sighed. "Lewis was a psychopath." she said, bracing herself for the rest of the story. "He somehow managed to find loopholes in the law." she paused trying not to let her mind go back to that place. which was easier said than done. "he broke into my apartment and kept me drugged for 3 days and that was just the start"
As painful as it was to talk about it and have it all brought up again it also somehow felt like a weight had been lifted with him knowing about everything even if it was a time when she was at her lowest, it felt good to tell him.
"Come here" he said softly wrapping his arm around her kissing her temple.
"There is more" she said nestling in to his arms "We eventually got him sent down but he convinced some cookey Juror he was innocent and she helped him escape prison where he came after me again, just after I had made Sargent and he kidnapped this little girl, Forced me to admit I committed perjury in his first trial, that I used more force than needed, and I beat him more out of rage.."
"Did you?" Elliot asked
"Did I what" she asked pushing herself up looking at him
"Beat the crap out of him," he said "and lie under oath?"
"It's not that simple, I didn't exactly lie but I didn't exactly tell the truth. Anyway I went to get the girl and he bundled me into his vehicle, took me to this abandoned mill and made me play russian roulette after he tried to rape me"
"He didn't did he"
"No. I didn't put up a fight and just let him so he lost interest." she sighed "he didn't like that so that's when he made me play Russian roulette. If I refused he pointed his glock at the girl. There was one bullet left in the revolver and he turned it on himself with his non-dominant hand so it made it look like I had done it"
"Liv…"
"I'm fine" she forced a smile watching the cream that was on her hot chocolate forming a chocolatey volcano running down the side of her cup forming a sticky puddle on the coffee table.
Tossing and Turning all she could see was his face looming over her laughing over her, holding her gun in her face, forcing it down her in front of her in court making out that she was a liar and obsessed with him in a sexual way. Standing in the mill building Him holding the gun on her, each click of the revolver as the empty chamber passed. The sound of the final shot and the scream of a terrified child
Her eyes shot open and she woke in a cold sweat. It took a moment to realise she was actually in her bedroom and it was all a nightmare.
"Hey" Elliot whispered, wrapping his arms around her. "You alright?" he asked.
"Just a bad dream" she said, nestling into him.
"Lewis?" he asked
"Yeah" she whispered.
"If the charm upsets you that much we can take it off. I really don't mind, I wish you had told me sooner" he said
"It doesn't" she said "it doesn't upset me I love it. It's just I had the one you sent me on my gun, for comfort and strength and he took my gun and used it, he forced it down my throat, pistol whipped me with it, used it on some poor rookie that pulled us over. I could not look at it and not think of him. He defiled it. It was something I had that made me feel close to you and he took it, that's why it's still sitting in the property store." she said "I want to keep it so that I can have you with me again. Partner." she smiled over at him.
"Okay then partner" he said softly.
Lying awake Olivia stared into the darkness, looking over at Elliot next to her she smiled seeing the moonlight shining through a crack in the curtain. It had been a weight off her mind knowing that he knew some of the stuff she had been through after he had left. She knew there was more they needed to talk about but she needed time to get over this.
