Hey, I'm back, with news and things to address.
One of the things I've come to accept if this is gonna kick off, and keep me motivated to keep going with this story is a ship, and there are a few rules. One, I'm not doing vanilla, and id like to keep it out of Konoha, or any village, exception being something like Oto, or someone like Karin. The point of this rule is to make sure it makes sense, not gonna have a Narusaku, when Sakura still loves Sasuke, and has never even met Naruto before, and is still loyal to the village, I understand this excludes like 90% of the ship, but I gotta make it believable, if you can explain it, without having someone go traitor ill bargain.
Secondly, not doing Yaoi, I'm sorry for all those narusasu people out there, its just not something I'm going to write.
Thirdly, keep it within the age group, not doing a narumei, the limit for this is around 3 years. I understand this is likely going to exclude like 99% of ships, that's also why I'm not going to decide for a while, the ship will most likely start early part 2 with a setup going around late part 1, there's a difference between teen dating and child dating, I am willing to bargain if you can make a case, and not that kind. I'm also allowing you to alter the characters a bit, as long as it's a side character, like Guren, or Fu from Takigakure, actually I might do Fu, I like that one, Fu is a good option overall. Last thing on this subject, I'm creating some minor OCs for a reason, more will pop up, if you want to pick one of them, feel free.
One of the things I failed to really capture in the last chapter, was Chojuro's depression, I feel I didn't do it justice as I should have, the entire point of the last chapter, is to literally make Naruto stronger, while absolutely hammering him down mentally, this could help with the shipping part, but that's for another chapter, but I wish I did more with Chojuro, for as short lived as he was in the story, this early droplet will ripple into waves later on.
Another review with a few questions I'm not going to answer, is if the civil war has happened or is it going to, the answer is it already did, but I made it smaller scale while still being very destructive. This is also my explanation for a multitude of things that will be explained later, and some already have, like Utakata's death. Will Naruto make Chunin early? Yes, I will say no more.
Naruto will be getting a lot stronger real fast, these next 2 chapters are essentially Naruto doing around a mission, than the Chunin exams in the next, with a lot of training in between, this whole arc is really just building up context honestly.
Last thing before I go into the story, I will try to keep chapters now to around 5-10k words, the sweet spot being 8, as you saw in the last chapter.
Into the story.

Mizukage's Office
Naruto: Age 10
Naruto stood, wide eyed at the news of his closest friend. 'C-chojuro.' He thought, hanging his head down, he wanted to weep, but his training with Yagura, and his want to make sure Yagura didn't see his perceived 'weakness' overpowered that part of him.
Blankly staring, his eyes going back to its usual half-open state. His neck loosing some strength as it tilted to the side, a red aura forming around him.
Yagura noticed this, wide eyed and the recognizing signs, 'Shit, if he releases the six tails, he could kill half the village!'. Yagura acting fast hit Naruto over the head with his hooked staff, and screaming "CONTROL YOURSELF!"
Naruto quickly regained his consciousness, a bleeding head, already healed, throbbing as he woke. "H-hai sensei." He said, vaguely remembering the past moment.
Yagura was quick on the up-turn as he changed in posture, putting his staff behind him and sitting down back at his desk, his hands interlocked as he thought about what to do. It was normal that a jinchuriki started showing powers more extreme as they got older, but to almost unleash even a half tail? It was a sign.
'If this is the route he will continue to take, he will need to control himself.' Yagura quickly realized what this meant. 'The scrolls.' Yagura always loathed the day, the day that is now here, where he would have to unload the lineage of his student. The thought that he might betray the village, was something that was utterly unacceptable to Yagura, and while he was sure he wouldn't now, a few years ago this wasn't the case.
Naruto reading the scrolls of his birth would almost immediately cause questions about how the Uzumaki came to be, and their downfall; A clan so prestigious didn't just vanish into the mist. And with Kirigakure involvement in the fall, he would have to make damn sure that he wouldn't leave, which he planned and executed, from the day he was born to the time he was six, and until now. A jinchuriki close relation to their village was almost certain, and if it wasn't, the Jinchuriki would leave the village more than likely. This led the Kage's almost always getting close to jinchuriki to make sure they wouldn't, something Yagura was doing, and planning, since Naruto arrived at his doorstep.
Naruto was again straight in his chair, trying to hold himself back from crying, but slightly failing as a tear ran down his cheek. This was until he heard the words that would rock his world, for the second time today, this one being a mix of tragedy and joy.
"One of the things I told you when I took you in as my apprentice, was that I would tell you about your family, this is that day." Yagura sighed, and went for the drawer on his desk, and pulled two scrolls out.
Naruto was wide eyed at the news, 'My... family?' Naruto never even considered that he had one, not wanting to for fear of knowing that they were alive, and he had been abandoned instead of being the last. He saw the scrolls on Yagura's desk, one was supposedly to the man who found him, and the other, for him.
He took the one that was directed towards the man that found him. He was stopped, "I understand that you want to know about your family, but before you read that, I need to tell you the story of your clan, the one that the scroll doesn't tell you." Yagura said letting go of the boy's hand.
"The Uzumaki's, were a clan near the island of Uzu, and even had their own village." Yagura pointed out the island on the map on his wall. This was a revelation Naruto would have to ponder on. 'A village of people like me?' He released the scope of how big his clan might have been at some point. This of itself led Naruto into both a deep sense of happiness and confusion; The fact that he didn't hear from his clan all this time, and controlling such a large island on the map, and so close, he would have heard more of such a clan, and he didn't. 'I wasn't abandoned, but what happened to the Uzumaki's?' The last sentence popping out of his mouth unexpectedly. "Patience, I will go into that in a moment."
"The Uzumaki's themselves, resembled you in almost every way, Red hair, extreme proficiency in Fuinjutsu, minor water nature, skill in kenjutsu, and large chakra reserves, and something else. The large chakra reserves combined with their skill in fuinjutsu led them to be ideal jinchuriki candidates, as you were, and as you are now. They had an incredible life force some living to over 100, this is because they were related to the Senju clan." Yagura spout out information at such a pace that Naruto was almost unable to keep up, he was happy at having inherited the gifts of his family, 'Something else? And a relation to the Senju clan?' This was a turn of events he didn't expect, the Senju being famous for making the first hidden ninja village, Konohagakure, with the Uchiha clan. 'Are the rest of them in Konoha?'
"The relation to Konoha and its founding clan led to an alliance, in which Uzumaki would be chosen to be the host of the Nine Tailed fox, due to the extremely large chakra reserves, and the amount of life force. Though there was another reason, and that is because the Uzumaki had a kekkei genkai, called the Uzumaki Sealing Chains, seemingly designed to be perfect for holding Biju back." Yagura paused waiting for the boy to process the information.
'A kekkei genkai of the Uzumaki, and its chains? And we are known for holding Biju? Doesn't that just figure' Naruto commented sarcastically in his own head, ecstatic that he might have a power like that. 'What's the catch? there's always a catch.'
"If you have paid any attention to your history, then you know Kiri has been a bit of a wild card. It was a battle royal in the first great war. We sided with Kumo and Iwa in the second war, and we attacked anyone that impeded us in the third. Due to the alliance between Uzu and Konoha, the Third Mizukage was scared of them, and so was Kumo and Iwa. Because of this fact, and the power of Uzu, the Uzumaki were exterminated by Iwa, Kumo, and more complicated for us, Kiri."
'M-my current home, destroyed my potential home, and my family.' Naruto repeated this in his mind multiple times before he awaited more information, in his mind there was always more.
"I know this is just the icing on the cake of your troubles, but I feel I owe you an explanation about myself and the third. I am like the third in many ways and differ from him more than he would have liked. We were both ruthless and see the value in the old ways. The difference is that while I may be cruel, I'm not psychotic. He killed for the sake of killing, seeing anyone that wouldn't kneel before him, or weaker than him, as disposable. I see sense in that, but I also see sense in people won't accept that, and it will only lead to your downfall, as it did him. The Kaguya revolt is a good example, he caused the revolt by treating them, a powerful, bloodthirsty clan, without respect and treated them with utmost distaste. And when he died, and the Kaguya clan saw me, a younger man similar to him, they wouldn't take it. In the process they destroyed the caste system and caused progress in the village years ahead if its time." Yagura explained the history and relationship between the Mizukage's and the village at large, as well as the philosophical side of the third.
Naruto heard the explanation and saw the change in the village, 'No, the home I have now is evolved, and better from Lord-thirds reign compared to now, I can't blame the current village, it wouldn't be right, besides I do have people here I consider family, and this is the only home I've known.' He decided that regardless of the past, he should improve the village, adding to his goal of being Mizukage, a lesser-known fact about the boy as he didn't go screaming his dreams across the hills.
"Now go on, read the first scroll, it contains the information I know about your birth, the others are a blood seal, so I couldn't read them without destroying them." Yagura encouraged the boy, seeing him nervously pick up the scroll once more and start reading.
'Hello, if you are reading this then the boy's parents are dead. I find it critical that this boy finds care in someone who knows the shinobi arts, as he is one of the last of his clan, and to my knowledge one of possibly two with our kekkei genkai. The boy's name is Uzumaki Naruto, as the name suggests he is from the Uzumaki clan. The Uzumaki's are a clan feared for multiple reasons, leading to their destruction, Iwa still has a 'kill all defeated Uzumaki' stance, so please tread lightly with his name. The other scrolls are for his eyes only, they are locked with a blood seal, and will only be accessible to him, and other Uzumaki who share his blood.'
'Kill all Uzumaki eh? And after the betrayal at Yosuga pass?' Naruto's hatred for Iwa grew several notches after hearing of all the betrayal and killing that Iwa had done to his family and Kiri. At the same time gaining even more respect for his sensei, for taking him in.
Naruto had a conflicted look of Hatred, Sadness, and Joy, for all of the things that had been revealed to him, and all that he had lost, even if he didn't know it, he was a mess. Yagura noticed this and handed him the second scroll of two. Naruto looking at its blood seal, he grabbed a kunai and poked his finger, bleeding onto the scroll for it to unravel.
'If you're reading this Naruto, I can only say I'm so sorry. Leaving the world was not our choice, but non the less one you will have to live with. I wish I could show you how to use your abilities, train you, and see you grow from down there, but if you're reading this, I am no longer with you.
For as much as I wish I could do it in person the scroll sealed within this one is the secret to unlocking our Kekkei Genkai, the Uzumaki Sealing Chains, the Second is our Kenjutsu style, the Swirling Whirlpool Style, it's a dual wielding style but very elegant, I used it myself so I can attest to its lethality.
This will be our final message to you, from both of us, even from the dead, regardless of tragedy, no matter what you do, we will always love you.
From always and until the end of time
-Your mother.'
Naruto felt a tear stream down his face for the second time in an hour, more than he had in the past 5 years. He finally knew he was loved, he had a family, and that he had the potential to be powerful enough to make a new one. On the other hand, his family was dead, his friend was dead, and he'd be hunted not just as a jinchuriki, but as an Uzumaki.
"I'm increasing your training hours, now that your out of the academy you'll also be taking missions, although there is one in particular id like for you to accomplish, that is for later. I want you to master those chakra chains, with that, and the cooperation of your biju, and mastery of yourself, I can see yourself becoming a perfect jinchuriki." Yagura explained his thought process on the first steps of being a perfect jinchuriki, and all the while Naruto listened while deep in thought.
To Naruto, all of this led to one conclusion, keep going at all costs. In his eyes Chojuro's death was a lesson and a wake up call, stagnation is death, and death meant sadness for the people you cared about. And now, with the scrolls, and his sensei, he had direction.
A truly deadly combination.

Mizukages Office
Naruto: Age 10 and 2 months
Naruto had been training relentlessly since the death of his friend, going on multiple C-rank missions and even a C-rank turned B-rank, and come out alive, something almost unheard of for a green genin. He didn't go with a team, with his apprenticeship he had no time, so he jumped from team to team until this point. He had even mastered his chakra chains, which to him was not the hard part, it was incorporating them into his style of fighting, holding two swords and then using chains, you either have four hands or you use the chains on your wrists, which screws with sword to hand coordination. But he managed, his sealing becoming increasingly more experimental, with seals that were being created by him and not taught to him. But at this moment, he was talking to Yagura about something more important.
"You will be going on an A-ranked mission to the land of Rivers to kill Raiga Kurosuki and reclaim the Kiba blades. Your partner for this mission is Kisame Hoshigaki, who will be your superior until you reach the rank of Chunin." Yagura explained the details of the mission.
'An A-rank mission?' Naruto thought in surprise, he was glad that he got one, but he needed help, which was why he was not surprised when he got one, 'Kisame Hoshigaki?! And he's going to be my Senpai?'
"On your successful return you are to use the Kiba blades, your training has not just been to master your style, it was in hope that you would join the Seven Ninja swordsman of the Mist."
'Is this just gonna be a thing now? Where I get some major life-changing bomb dropped on me every few months?' Naruto sarcastically thought, seeing the comedy in such a serious proposal.
The Swordsman were getting old, the oldest being 42, extremely old for a top-of-the-line shinobi. They needed new blood, and they were recruiting. Naruto being a prime candidate for the Kiba blades, lightning release, being trained in a Dual Wakizashi style of swordsmanship, and a natural with speed.
"Do you accept?" Yagura asked, already knowing the answer.
"Hai, Sensei." Naruto accepted, steel in his eyes as he realized how difficult, yet possible, the mission was.
A tall man 6'3, with a black shirt and black pants, a brown leather strap across his shirt, holding a giant sword rapped in bandages. He had blue skin and shark-like teeth, and what appeared to be gills on his cheeks, but that could just be definition.
"Kisame has already been briefed before on the mission. You both know your objective. Dismissed."
As they left the village, they started up a conversation in the hopes of gaining a mutual understanding of each other. As well as learning about each other's abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, and learn about each other's role in the fight.
"Kisame-senpai, how exactly do you use that sword, it looks very bulky, and it has scales point out of it, I've heard that its more used as a club with spikes, but I want to hear it from the user itself, and how does that fit in with traditional sword styles?" Naruto asked the shark-like man.
'Kisame-senpai? I could get used to that hehe~' Kisame laughed, liking the title, and playing along.
"Well Kouhai~, the sword itself is sentient, and has the ability to absorb chakra, I use it more as a club as you said, I jam it into the person and then rip it out of them, literally shredding them, unfortunately the way it alters a traditional style is that you can't stab, at all, so I am forced to use swings exclusively, and only use a thrusting move when I want them to back up. Usually, it doesn't get even that far, as they usually either die from one of the other swings, or pass out form chakra exhaustion" Kisame responded, analyzing his own sword style.
"Would I be wrong in assuming that you are very good at dueling?" Naruto asked the gilled man.
"You would be correct, why?" Kisame asked wondering why he wanted to know all of this.
"I was thinking about team composition, I'm more of a tactical and speed fighter, while that's good and all, I can't dominate the battlefield like you. So, I was thinking that if you were to keep them in place with your swings and your strength, it would be easier for me to go in for the kill shot, or deal with the henchmen while you do." Naruto analyzed the situation, knowing that they had no real experience together, but being powerful and smart on your own right was something that could make things a lot easier.
Kisame looked at the boy with a raised eyebrow, he expected to meet a brat with an ego, albeit one with skills, he was the apprentice of the Mizukage after all. He was happily surprised when he turned out to be humbler about his skills and open to work with someone who was considered better without trying to one-up them. 'The kid could use some work, but the potential is limitless.' Kisame realized why so much expectation had been put on the boy, he had the ethic to push past it, and the genes to complete it.
Kisame smiled, "Good thinking, I want those henchmen done first, they will only cause trouble later on in the battle, after that if I'm not done with Raiga, ill try to trap him into a narrow passage where you can strike." Kisame formed the plan in his head, Raiga was no slouch by any means, but he wasn't comparable to Kisame. He didn't expect the battle to go on as long as he had just planned, but a back-up was always welcome.
"Hai Kisame-senpai." Naruto ordered, recognizing the plan as incredibly flexible, seeing it as more of a rule-of-thumb rather than an actual plan. But that wouldn't stop them from getting the blades, nor did it stop any of them on a mission before.

Coast of the Land of Rivers
2 days later
As they land on the beach of the land of rivers, after a short trip by boat as they didn't want to cross into Hi no Kuni, less they get questioned by Konoha shinobi, and traveled north from there. The land of Rivers was a buffer-state between Konoha and Suna, and it resembled that with rough terrain and open fields, not particularly good for traveling shinobi trying to stay hidden.
Kisame's ten-year search for Raiga was complete years ago, but they had to keep track of him until a suitable candidate came of age. Mist swords were valuable and with it in possession of a Ronin, atleast they could guarantee it wouldn't go to another power. A better alternative to it getting stolen in storage.
Naruto had been getting to know more about how the Seven Swordsman worked as a whole, the experience of Kisame being a great tool for learning. From what he was saying, the organization as a whole was less of an organization, and more of a squad, with a single leader, that at the moment being Kisame, with Mangetsu being a close second. They were all at the very least A-rank, a prerequisite of being the best in your village with the most powerful swords to possibly ever be created.
"Kisame-senpai, I see the village ahead, I think we are here." Naruto pointed out, getting Kisame's attention.
"I do believe we are Kouhai, be on guard, I've heard that our friend has gained some followers, none with a page in the bingo book, but keep your eyes open anyways." Kisame said, recognizing the village ahead.
As they slowed down from the rock formations and onto the road, they traveled at civilian pace while concealing their chakra, as to not alert the enemy to their presence.
Along the path they were walking multiple people carrying coffins went by, each seemingly having empty eyes or ones that watered. They didn't ask questions, they knew what Raiga was doing in the land. For better or for worse he was going to die here today.
"Should I set up some special explosive seals? I don't think we want him running away." Naruto asked.
"What's a special explosive seal?" Kisame asked intrigued at the prospect of a new type of explosion.
"Its basically a compact explosive tag, I just sealed the explosion of ten explosive tags inside this tag, so it has 10 times the punch." Naruto explained, one of his newest hobbies was making new types of explosive tags, something that he was incredibly proficient at.
"Useful, if they are as strong as you say they are, I want 5 on each entrance to the town, and while you're at it, do some recon on where Raiga is exactly." Kisame ordered, himself knowing that Naruto couldn't fight him by himself.
The town itself was a crevasse in the earth with only two entrances and exits leading out, leaving it prime for ambush tactics. At the top of the crevasse, Naruto was planting his Explosive seals to cause an avalanche that would force people back in, with a trigger that made it so when ten seconds passed, another pair of explosive seals would blow them up while they were trapped inwards.
As he was doing this, he was observing the village beneath him, the town seemed to have a centralized point, where a temple of sorts was built. That's where he saw him, Raiga, he seemed to be weeping with coffins all over the place, he saw people being buried alive in them, and his followers seemingly kneeling to the temple. 'What in Kami's name are they doing down there?'
After Naruto's trap was set up, he met back up with Kisame and told him about the trap and what they were doing.
"I don't understand exactly the ritual of what they are doing, but the trap is set up, and that's what matters here. We will engage tomorrow after a nights rest, if we are fighting my former comrade, then you will need it." Kisame said, in his eyes Naruto had already been of use, by setting up the trap he ensured that no one could escape, atleast it would delay them in the event that they truly tried. Not that they could, Naruto was a B-rank shinobi and an S-rank threat if he unleased his Biju, in the unlikely event. And Kisame was an S-rank regardless, the affirmation of which almost confirmed their victory, the only problem was they didn't know how much Raiga had progressed since he left.
/ / / / / / / / / /
1 Day later
Naruto and Kisame were preparing for the fight, while they had the element of surprise, they agreed that a double check of equipment was in order, an A-rank missing Ninja with a powerful artifact was not something to scoff at.
"Explosive Tags?"
"Check."
"Kunai and Shuriken?"
"Check."
"Your Sword?"
"Check."
"Your head?"
"On my neck as far as I know Kisame-senpai."
They went back in fourth with the last comment making both of smirk at each other. They got along well, both being fairly sarcastic, they saw the humor in every joke they made, and they respected each other's skills, Naruto for how much potential he has and how much he has done in such a short time, and Kisame for what he has accomplished over all the years he has been in charge of the Seven Ninja Swordsman.
"I guess that's it? We move in on the village?" Naruto asked.
"No, I go in on the village, I want you on the cliffs edge so when Raga's henchmen come out thinking its only me, you can spring the trap, and kill the remainder of his bandits." Kisame explained the strategy.
'I would only get in his way at the level I'm at now, maybe with training of the blades and when I'm faster, but taking out the bandits, making it just a one-on-one will keep him from having to fight multiple opponents. Either way its sound.' Naruto thought, reasoning the strategy from Kisame's words.
"Hai."
As Kisame walked to the village he was stared at because of his shark like features, the closer he got to the center of the village the more people surrounding him there was. He could tell that he was getting enclosed by the men, and he didn't particularly want to fight them, so he altered the plan, instead of letting them fall themselves into the trap, he would lead them to it, all he had to do was get Raiga attention so that he could 'lose' and flee into one of the two exits of the town, where Naruto would spring the trap and kill them all.
Getting Raiga's attention should be easy, shouldn't it?
Kisame walked to the stone temple that had been constructed, where a mausoleum stood, where he saw people being buried alive. 'So, this is all that cult shit you got yourself into?' Kisame asked in his own head. Conveniently at the top of the temple overlooking everything was Raiga, who also noticed him.
'God Damnit.'
'Why is he here?'
Raiga was curious as to why his old teammate was here, he quickly deduced that the Mizukage had finally come for him, and his blades, and they sent someone like him to ensure the job is done. He knew it was bound to happen, he didn't think it would happen so soon, with all the politics involved with retrieving a mist sword.
"HENCHMAN" The entire population of the worksite lifted their heads, "CATCH THAT MAN!" Raiga said pointing to the shark-teethed man. And like a dog to a bone they chased, Kisame ran toward the back of the village enacting his plan.
Kisame sprinted with what looked like an army behind him, he jumped from building to building, each step he took being followed by a hundred more. As he neared the edge of the village he screamed, "TEN SECONDS!"
He exited the village gate, 6 Seconds.
He shunshined the next fifty meters, 4 seconds.
Naruto activated the seal, 2 seconds.
The rocks fell, 0.
As the rocks fell, it crushed ten men, as the other 90 or so fled, the second set of seals exploded, further caving in the village, and killing 70 of the other bandits Raiga was using. Kisame smiled at the scent of blood and the sound of screams, his sadistic side showing he unwrapped the bandages on his sword, revealing a giant shark-like thing strapped to a handle. Naruto grabbed the hilts of his swords, and ran towards the remaining bandits, he had time to think after the battle, as long as Kisame did his part, which he was sure to do, he wouldn't have to worry about other factors all too much in the heat of battle.
The 20 remaining bandits were on their last legs and low on moral, as they saw Naruto with his flowing red hair, two swords, and the fact he just jumped down 50 feet and suffered no injures, they concluded they were in way too over their heads and fled. This was not something Naruto could have, as if they decided to come back to avenge their comrades, or Raiga was somehow able to inspire them, they could be a real pain.
Naruto quickly weaved hand signs, and jumped into the air, "Lightning Release: Depth Charge!"
The ensuing explosion ended the lives of 5 of the bandits and forced the rest to fight him or face a similar death.
The way that the bandits could attack was narrow, so only 5 could at a time and still have space for good technique, they realized this and the 15 rushed in 3 groups. As Naruto pulled out his blades he heard an explosion where Raiga was supposed to be.
Kisame POV
"So, it seems you've gotten a modicum of control over your blades, its good to see this might be a challenge!" Kisame said, exited at the prospect of having to take the blades by force instead of having in his eyes 'A boring mission!'
Raiga went to the peak of the building and raised the Kiba blades, "Fangs of Lightning!" he yelled as he pointed the swords down at Kisame. Kisame recognized the jutsu and raised his sword above his head, just in time to be struck by two lightning strikes, both absorbed by his sword who seemed to growl at the lightning chakra. 'What do they say about lightning never striking twice?' Kisame thought as he rushed to the side from building to building getting closer while still throwing off his direction to Raiga.
Raiga lifted his swords and braced as Kisame jumped upward over the stone building and slammed his sword down onto Raiga's.
"Is this all you have done in 11 years of hiding?" Kisame questioned "All you've done is make small bandit camp and create a cult?" Kisame pushed Raiga's emotions further into rage, "Because it sounds like you have wasted your life out here when you could have stayed and become even more strong, and then you could weep however you want on the bodies of thousands, but you came all the way out here, feeding your failure into a pit, its depressing to see any of us seven swordsmen in such a pitiful state!"
Raiga was no longer, angry and was pushed further to wrath, his emotions taking control. Kisame inwardly smirked, it seems that his emotions still got the better of him. He swiped to the side with more power than before, Raiga barely blocked, his purple eyes widening at the unexpected power of the strike and countered by brining one of the swords into a thrust.
Naruto POV
Naruto was thinking how easy this fight was, in fact it was too easy, he was on edge as he stabbed two of the bandits in the throat, '13 left, not much more than I can go get the blades.' Naruto thought as the 13 remaining bandits rushed him all at once, forgetting their previous formation.
Naruto weaved more hand signs, "Lightning Style: Electromagnetic Murder!" The shock killed 10 of them as the other 3 seeing their numbers drop, ran in the other direction. 'Too easy.' Naruto threw a hail of kunai from a scroll he brought and killed the remaining 3.
After the previous explosion from what seemed to be lightning, he ran as fast as he could towards the tower where Kisame was at, and saw the ensuing duel, waiting for the opportune time to strike.
Raiga countered Kisame's swing with a thrust of his other Kiba sword, 'NOW!'
Naruto shunshined onto the building and brought his sword up parrying Raiga's strike, and sent his other sword to Raiga's wrist, forcing him to drop the blade or risk losing his hand. Naruto saw his choice and made sure to drop his sword and grab the Kiba blade. 'One done, one next.' Kisame smiled at the play Naruto pulled, and in conjunction with Naruto ran forward and ran through hand signs, 'Lightning Water Dragon Bullet' They both thought in unison, not saying the words but thinking them in the effort to keep the jutsu secret.
A wall of water rose as lightning sparked out forming a dragon head, which breathed lightning. Raiga now truly recognized both as a threat, thinking Naruto to only be a standard chunin or even a genin. 'A supposed successor to the Kiba blades, eh?' He thought as he snarled at the reminder that he lost one of the blades. Without both he could no longer preform the special techniques he had with them, forcing him to use basic elemental jutsu without the help of the swords. And with one hand on his sword, it was only possible to do the jutsu he knew with one hand as he had to focus strength on blocking the now 3 blades currently after him.
Raiga was being pushed back into a wall, he had no where to go, the rocks blocked the paths exiting the village enough to slow him down, and with how fast Kisame and Naruto were, that wasn't an option, he had no options, but he wouldn't be caught dead dying without a fight.
Naruto channeled his lightning chakra through his Kiba blade, and continued the forward rush with Kisame,
One hit to the arm, he can no longer weave ninjutsu, with two he can't fight back. One hit to the leg, he can't run, with two he cant walk. One hit to the chest, you stun him, two, his organs rupture. One hit to the head and he's blind, two and he's dead. The options seemed profitable, and Kisame recognized the signs that they were going to go for the body and then for the head.
Kisame ran forward, with speed that forced Raiga to block with his only sword, but it wasn't enough strength to hold him back as it parried the sword back and rammed his chest into the stone wall behind them.
Naruto took advantage and sliced Raiga's head at eye level. 'Blind, now we just gotta go for the neck.'
Kisame grabbed a kunai and sliced Raiga's throat with a ripping sound that would circle the village.
After all was done the village seemed grateful, after the slaughter of tens of villagers they were glad it was over. And they wanted to reward them, but at the seeming disappointment of the villagers the only thing was to keep quiet about the event, Raiga's death was sure to reach the world eventually, the slower the better as they didn't need to know that mist had their blade's back.
Naruto was grinning as he had the Kiba blades, he replaced his normal sheath with one tailored for the blades as he placed them on his back, storing his previous blades in a storage seal.

10 days later
Yagura's office
The trip back was uneventful, meeting with the Kiri chunin team at the coast that escorted them back was standard for such an important mission. The only thing that was different from coming back was the swords in Naruto's sheath, which the chunin instantly recognized. They smiled at the young boy, and they immediately departed.
Yagura was smiling at the mission report, it seemed to go off without a hitch, no one was seriously injured, they got the blades back, and Naruto's style seemed to gel well with them.
'It seems he will have enough time to go to the Chunin exams in Kumo in a month, that will be good. The Kumo exams were good as it was close to the sky, he wasn't a favorite to win but he didn't need favoritism in an enemy village to place high.
Yagura snapped himself out of that thought and reared his head out of the paperwork that was in front of him.
"I see by the blades on your back it went well, Ill let you keep them as I said. But you aren't one of the swordsmen just yet, a requirement is to be atleast chunin, it doesn't bode well that one of our elites is a genin." Yagura said
"Hai." Naruto said, his head down as he realized he couldn't truly be apart of them just yet, his thoughts interrupted by Yagura.
"On the other hand, Kumo is hosting the exams next month, and im sending you in with team 4, their teammate just died and someone as powerful as you should overpower the teamwork skills that you may have missed." Yagura said. Naruto perked up at that, it wasn't unheard of for genin to get promoted only a few months after their graduation but that didn't make it any less of a surprise that Yagura trusted his own skills that much. 'A promotion already will look real good on my record hehe~.' Naruto noted in his head, exited at the prospect.
Kisame saw the glint in his eyes of someone who truly was thirsting for something, it reminded him of his own and that was something he found would push him further, the only thought in his head as he left, was one that seemed to keep popping up everywhere.
'I wonder what will become of you, Uzumaki Naruto.'

That's it!
Chapters finally done, I feel I'm still not very good at combat scenes, but I'm trying to make them as fluid as possible. I feel adding Kisame was a bit too much of a buff as it made the mission really easy for both of them, but I also feel that establishing a relationship between the two early is worth the tradeoff.
Tell me how I did, the feedback I get is great, and I like reading these and answering your questions, and don't feel as if your bothering me by wondering things that I should have done a better job explaining myself, its what makes me a better writer.
Anyways im done, let me upload this chapter.
