Today is the day of the remedial course test.

Four months of grueling training within the Remedial course. It is twilight in the city of Kawasaki as the misfit trio are seen inside the junkyard, hanging out and training with the garbage. Izuku and Hitoshi faced against each other, Mei watching their brawl while tinkering with her jetpack as she thought aloud. "Hmm. I'll root for Izuku this fight around."

Hitoshi grabbed Izuku with his scarf and pulling the verdette towards him, readying his fist. Izuku did not waste any chances as he took out his staff and used it to push himself off the ground, dodging Hitoshi's strike.

'What the hell? Seriously?' Hitoshi thought as he tried to make his counterattack which failed when his opponent overpowered him in strength. The two traded blows until Hitoshi received a kick to his side which made him fall to the ground and clutch his side in pain.

"I guess that's it!" Mei said in a playful tone while twirling her wrench when she saw the fight ended and Izuku walking up to Hitoshi and holding out his hand.

"Dude. Even after that devilish training from you and Mr. Aizawa and I'm still unable to beat you." Hitoshi said when he held Izuku's hand, the verdette lifting him up from the ground.

"What do you mean? You managed to get a few wins." Izuku stretched his body before he put his staff back on his belt. Hitoshi folded his arms and let out a disappointed sigh. "And you're not even using your quirk."

The three then watched the sun rising above the horizon while enjoying the morning breeze.

"Today is the day, huh?" Hitoshi said on the ground and looked at the dark sky, Izuku nodded as he sat beside him before he leaned on a rusty car. "Yeah. How are you doing, Mei?"

"Perfecto!" Mei said before she lifted up her bag which had a pair of metal boots with fan-thrusters implanted at the bottom. "The Hover Soles are complete. Allows you to hover off the ground."

"Make sure they don't explode." Hitoshi said before he saw her waving absentmindedly. "'Kay~"

"Let's get some breakfast. Aunt Nao is cooking us some breakfast and would be happy if you guys could hop by to the café."

"Hell yeah! Miss Naomi's fried chicken is the best!" Hitoshi said as they made their way to Tsuki Café. Mei jumped excitedly and grabbed the two boys with a huge smile on her face. "I'm looking forward to the new batch of chocolate chip cookies! Onwards!"

"Aye aye." They all laughed. After a while, they made it to the cafe, Hitoshi and Mei sitting down as Izuku provided them with their breakfast as the three of them enjoyed their food. As they ate their food, Hitoshi noticed Izuku who was not eating which made him confused. "Yo, Midoriya. You look out of it, what's wrong?"

"Huh? O-oh yeah." Izuku said as he played with his food. "I guess you could say that I'm feeling a little nervous."

He was then lightly smacked on the head, looking up to see Naomi who looked at him with a serious expression. "You need to be more confident. Go to that test and crush it! And that goes for you, Shinso and Hatsume!"

"Yes, ma'am." The two said in unison to the woman who smiled before she turned to Izuku. "You have all worked hard to the point of ruin for this exam. You being nervous is spitting on all the effort that you have made in the last four years! I will not allow you to be nervous!"

The woman gave the three good luck charms before she went to the back to prepare the cafe to be opened, she then gave the trio a thumbs up. The three looked at their good luck charms as the three were silent.

"Well, I'll see you both in the official courses then." Hitoshi said to which Mei quickly agreed to. Izuku looked at his charm with a straight face for a while until both of his friends snapped him out of his trance. "H-huh?"

"Failing is not an option, ok?" Mei said as she took Izuku's good luck charm and put it on his gloves, happy with her handywork.

"We're going to see each other in the official courses. You got that, Midoriya?" Hitoshi said sternly, raising his fist in the air in front of the verdette with a small smile. "Alright?"

Izuku looked at his fist for a while before looking at the two people who he called friends. After a while, he could not hold back the smile before he raised his hand and bumped fists with Hitoshi. "Alright."

"Great! Now I have a little project I need to ask you about..." Mei started as the two boys listened, the three waiting for the big event that will determine their next step in life.

After a few hours, the trio went to college, Mei separating from the two men to go to her exam as both Hitoshi and Izuku made their way to the same place where they had their entrance exam before they saw their other classmates who were preparing for their exams in their own way. The moment they entered the gym, they saw that their two teachers are there, Shouta looking at his phone. "And that's everyone."

"Are you soft boned little brats ready?!" Touma shouted before he readjusted his mask again. "Is this microphone still malfunctioning? I might need a new mask."

"It's time for the exams. Come with me." Shouta announced to the students. He then escorted them to a classroom before he turned to them. "You know the drill. It's time for the written portion of the exam. Take a seat."

"I-I'm super nervous right now." Izuku stated as he took a seat, Hitoshi having a bored reaction as he sat beside the verdette. "You're nervous for the written portion. Dude, you got one of the best grades out of all the students."

"It doesn't take away from the fact that this is very pressuring." Izuku said, getting a sigh out of his purple-haired classmate. "Wuss."

"At least I'm prepared." When Izuku said his rebuttal, Hitoshi lifted his hand to say something before he shut his mouth and stayed quiet. 'Touche.'

The written portion of the exam was not as hard as he expected as he went through the test much quicker than he expected. Hitoshi, on the other hand, was having some issues with some of the questions but despite that, he had fairly no issues with the exam. The rest of the students did what they could in the exam until the proctor announced the end of the portion.

After the written portion was finished, everyone exited the room, Hitoshi stretched his arms while Izuku had a somber expression as he patted his chest. The two boys shared a nod before they saw Touma standing in front of them with his arms folded.

"I hope you soldiers are ready! Now is the hard part! It is time for you to prove to us that you deserve to be in the official Hero Course. Now without further ado, I wish you all good luck on the practical! Your final hurdle starts here!"

"Yes sir!" The students all said, unaware of the smile under the teacher's mask as he watched them going to the waiting room. 'It was a short time but it was an enjoyable short time.'

As Shouta gathered the papers from the written exam, he noticed Present Mic who gave him a slight smirk on his face which made him let out a sigh. 'Here we go.'

"You wanna see how the kids are gonna do, don't ya? You don't have to lie to me, Sho." Present Mic nudged Shouta who walked out of the room with the papers. "Just leave me alone."

After the students were finished changing their clothes, they all went into a waiting room with a monitor as they waited for their turn in the practical section of the exams.

"Now the real test begin." Izuku thought as they all sat in the waiting room.

"The first one to be tested will be Denki Kaminari!" The announcement blared through the speakers.

"Alright, I'm pumped!" Denki, who was dressed in a black polo shirt with lightning patterns on the shoulder section along with black pants, smiled as he walked up to the halls. "Those robots are gonna get disintegrated."

"Don't blow a fuse now, bolt boy." Kyoka high-fived the blonde as he went to the location of the practical exam. Arriving on the practical grounds, he then crackled with electricity as he pulled out his taser, awaiting the call.

"START!"

Denki dashed forward, putting his taser in his pocket before his hands emitted lightning as he saw bunch of one-pointers came around the corner.

"Indiscriminate shock! 1.2 Million Volts!" The blonde unleashed a wave of electricity that destroyed the robots. Noticing a two-pointer behind him, Denki smiled as he took out his taser and put it on the robot's arm and pressed the button. "Boom."

The taser went alive, it along with his lightning electrocuted the robot and made it explode, much to everyone's amazement.

"Man, he's strong." Mineta commented as he saw the blonde went against the robots, taking them out with minimal effort.

"Yeah. I know he was powerful before but this is just crazy." Izuku said as he took notes on Denki's lightning quirk. 'So he's using the taser to help him with his precision. Also, didn't he fry his brain after letting out that amount of electricity last time? Has he improved on his limit on the quirk?'

Seeing an army of robots coming towards him, Denki put his hands together and shot a bolt of lightning that destroyed the bots. He was then hit by one of the bots, grabbing onto its arms before he destroyed it with his electricity. The teachers watched as Denki shot barrage of lightning bolts at the two and three-pointers in front of him.

"He's racking up points quickly. He's already at forty points." Shouta stated before he turned to Snipe. "You've trained him extremely well, Touma."

"Kaminari already had a powerful quirk. The side-effect is his biggest issue so we had to increase his endurance. Another is his range and proficiency, hence the taser he has." Touma explained as he watched the blonde unleashed a burst of electricity that destroyed the three-pointers lunging at him. "There is also his laidback attitude which can be a big downfall for him as well. As long as he continues to train and make sure to get around that drawback of his, he is a competent fighter whose potential could reach the likes of Endeavor's quirk."

"The Number two hero?" Shouta said out of surprise until he saw the sheer power of the Denki's quirk. "It is possible..."

"FINISH!"

Denki panted and fell on the ground with a slight funny look on his face as he saw the points he made amount to 80 points which made him do a thumbs-up in the air. "Whey..."

"Damn. He's definitely going into the hero course for sure." Hitoshi stated in a frustrated tone, Izuku nodded in agreement as he started sweating.

"What a way to start off the remedial test!" Present Mic stated as he watched the test from one of the skyscraper buildings. "Let's go onto the other!"

The exams continued with Kyoka coming afterwards, gaining almost as much points as Denki as she slashed through the robots with her vibrating katana. As he watched the other students performed, Izuku could only watch in awe as they all took apart the bots, the only one not able to get enough points being Minoru and Hiru which surprised him.

'That is odd. If used correctly, their quirks or abilities could work with the robot." Izuku mumbled as he watched Minoru able to destroy the robot with a ball-like whip, unaware of the glare that he was getting from Hiru.

"Plus they have weapons." Hitoshi leaned back in his chair as he adjusted the gloves on his hands and put his scarf on his neck. 'It's almost my turn.'

"Next, Toru Hagakure."

"That's me!" Toru jumped up in her seat excitedly before she ran to the field, waving at her classmates. "Wish me luck, everyone!"

"Yeah!" Izuku said which made the rainbow-colored hair girl smile before she went to the training grounds.

"Is she gonna be ok? I see that she can control her quirk but-" Hitoshi was cut off when he heard an explosion, everyone looking at the screen to see Toru controlling a three-pointer to destroy the other bots, laughing maniacally as she did so. "HAHAHAHAHAHA! BEWARE! I AM DOOM INCARNATE!"

Everyone was surprised by this, including the teachers as they watched the girl raised hell on the robots as she saw a bunch of robots, a huge smile coming across her face. "HAHAHAHA! HERE COMES THE GIANT FIST!"

"She's got...a very interesting way to do the exam." Hitoshi cleared his throat, Izuku nodded in agreement. Shouta and Touma were also surprised by the girl's attempt at the exam. "Snipe, did you teach her this?"

"Nope, not at all."

After Toru's exam was finished, it was Hitoshi's turn, he and Izuku nodded at each other and bumped fists as he made his way to the training grounds.

"Hitoshi Shinso, you're up!"

Hitoshi came unto the field, adjusting his gloves as he prepared himself and waited for the command.

"START!"

As the word was announced, Hitoshi rushed forward, his newfound speed surprising his classmates as he searched for robots.

"What the hell?" Emma was surprised, seeing a smile on Izuku's face as he watched his friend which made her angry. 'Were they hiding their abilities this whole time?'

Noticing a few robots coming towards him, he lashed his capturing weapon towards two robots, catching both of them and then slamming them into each other which destroyed them. Not wasting time, he grabbed one of the robots and used all his strength to throw it into the other bots, destroying them.

Hitoshi noticed a bot about to punch him which he dodged before he wrapped his scarf around its arm.

"I hope that's not your dominant-oh who am I kidding? You're a robot." He said, clicking on his glove to make spikes emerge before punching the joint of the robot and he ripped off the arm and used it smash the other bots. 'That's 26 points.'

"Shinso is doing fairly well compared to his last attempt. Don't you think, Shouta?" Snipe said with his arm crossed, looking at Shouta who simply stood up and went to the door. "You trained him like an overlord on how to use that scarf. "

"He only knows the basics but if he plays his cards right." Hitoshi spun around a part of a robot over his head which managed to destroy a few robots trying to attack him. Throwing the robot part towards the three-pointer, Shouta yawned as he checked his phone. "It's almost time for 1A to go on their break."

After a while, Izuku saw Mei coming towards him, a huge smile on her face as she jumped into the chair beside him. "Hey, Izuku. Shin's doing great, isn't he?"

This caught Izuku off guard as he looked at her with a confused expression which made her brows furrowed. "What?"

"You called me Izuku. Not a lot of people remember my first name." She said, Izuku handing her a box that had a slice of chocolate cake in it. "How though? It's easier to remember. Much more than Midorio. Can I call you Izu? That's much, much easier."

Izuku simply shrugged his shoulders, the verdette knowing that even without his consent, she's gonna call him that anyways. One thing Izuku has realized since the month he has been teaching Mei how to draw is the girl's disregard for others' consent or thoughts. The only reason he can sometimes get her to agree with him is through bribing her with food.

"How did you do on your exam?" Izuku asked the mechanic who put her hands on her hips with a huge smile. "What did you expect? I passed!"

"That's awesome! I'm happy for you!" Izuku congratulated her, much to the girl's glee as she grinned maniacally. "Now I can be able to get materials to build my babies now."

Izuku let out a chuckle as the girl fantasized about building new gadgets before he heard an announcement, looking at the monitors to see that Hitoshi was finished, the teen sitting on the ground exhausted as he was able to get a whopping 65 points. "Man, that was a bother. I should not be working that hard for just the remedial."

"FINISH!"

"Oh! It's my turn now." Izuku thought aloud, his nervousness at an all-time high as he got up, putting his bat on his back as he went to the training grounds, hearing Mei wishing him 'Good Luck' as he made his way down the halls. 'It's time to show the results of my training.'

"Man, I'm glad I'm out of that boring class." Katsuki said as he was walking through the campus, some of his classmates from 1A with him as they were speaking with each other.

"Tsu, where did you say that they sold pistachio ice cream?" Mina asked Tsuyu as they were on their way to the cafeteria.

"It should be around here, ribbit."

"Man, these classes were such a bore! How about we go do some shopping later?"

"That is a maybe." Ochaco said in a nervous tone.

Katsuki was getting annoyed by the people talking around him, about to explode until he passed by Ground Beta, his eyes passing by to see Izuku on the monitors which made him sneer. 'That's the bastard who bumped into me.'

Izuku was standing on the starting line of the grounds, dressed in a black and green sleeveless shirt, black track pants and his red high-tops along with his Shockwave Gauntlets and a strap around his shoulder to hold his staff. The teen took a deep breath, lifting his bat when he saw the robots moving around in the mock city in front of him. 'It's just like the entrance exam all over.'

"Oh, it's the guy with the bat who helped me during the exam. He wasn't in the hero course." Katsuki heard Ochaco said as she and a few girls watched the monitor. Tenya looked in surprise to see the verdette who was stretching. "I see. That's the student with the bat."

"Oh!" Mina squealed when she saw Izuku. "He looks so cute! He looks plain but he has a baby face! And his freckles are so adorable!"

"Mina, stop it." Ochaco said before Tsuyu chimed in. "I don't know, Ochaco. I agree. He looks like a rabbit."

"Oh! It's the green boy!" The girls turned to see Itsuka who noticed Izuku on the monitors, some of her friends following her before one of them which is a girl with green wavy hair said. "Seriously, that's the guy. So how is he combat-wise, Itsuka?"

The orange-haired girl scratched his cheek before she let out a nervous chuckle. "I don't know, Tokage. I know that he is very resourceful. But let's see how far he goes."

A girl with short black hair looked up at Izuku. "Bushy...hair..."

Katsuki saw everyone around from both the hero course classes gathering in front of the monitors, losing interest as he started walking away. 'Who cares about some green bastard?'

"Now, Izuku Midoriya."

Hearing that name, Katsuki stopped in his tracks. The blonde then turned around, his eyes wide as dinner plates before he saw the name displayed on the screen. Slowly walking towards the monitor, he gritted his teeth as his body shook in anger as his mouth sputtered. "D-Deku?"

"START!"

Izuku sprinted forward at the robots who tried to attack him, nimbly dodging their strikes before he gripped his bat, twisting the bottom section of it which made spikes emerge from the weapon. Seeing a few bots coming towards him, he evaded their moves before he slammed the bat unto its head which destroyed it.

"One point!" Izuku did not waste time as he took out the bots, able to destroy them with his bat before he noticed an army of bots coming towards him. Twisting the end of his bat again, his bat sparked with electricity as he dashed towards them, quickly destroying them with a smile on his face. 'This is great. Thank you, Ms. Hatsume.'

He was suddenly grabbed by one of the robot as it lifted him into the air, his arm starting to glow before it dissipated. 'Not yet.'

Taking out his staff, he quickly thrusted the staff into the robot's eye, making it malfunction as he used the opportunity to free himself from its grasp before finishing the job with a swing of his bat. 'Alright, that was close.'

Not losing momentum, he lunged at the rest of the two-pointers, being able to break and destroy some of them with the strikes from his staff before he dashed back as some of them tried to attack him. While he was dismantling the robots, a blonde-haired boy whose hair is combed neatly came beside Katsuki with a surprised expression. "He's pretty good with his bat."

"Yeah, what a manly quirk!" Eijirou said in excitement as Izuku jumped onto a two-pointer's arm and knock its head off with a swing.

"What quirk?" Shouta said, surprising everyone as they turned to see him watching the test along with Touma and Nemuri. Confused by his teacher's question, Eijirou answered nonchalantly. "Uhh...the quirk that he's using to make his body strong enough to beat those robots. It's super good."

Shouta smiled as he walked in front of the students and watched Izuku before he turned to them. "That is all his natural strength. No quirk. He became that strong on his own."

"H-how...? He was never that strong...he was never like that..." Katsuki mumbled in disbelief as he watched the verdette took out two pointers before he punched one in the face, managing to break the glass section of its armor which made it deactivate. 'It can't be possible. He...was a loser...'

'Your determination is bearing fruit, problem child. Let's see how far you have grown.' Shouta thought with a slight smile. Seeing an army of robots coming to him, Izuku dashed at them, switching between his bat with the staff as he took them out. Dodging a robot that tried to punch him, he quickly went up its arm before he stabbed his staff into the villain bot's eye which destroyed it, using the momentum of the explosion to send him into the air.

"That's twenty-two points." Izuku spoke to himself as he watched the robots. He then took the chance and landed behind the robots and continued his rampage until he was knocked back into a car which made him hiss in pain. Dodging a punch, Izuku had to focus on the defense as he had to dodge and block the robots' attacks, trying to get some distance. 'Damn it. I need some space.'

Blocking one of the strikes with its staff, Izuku was pushed back before the weapon was knocked out of his arm, the spectators gasped as Hiru grinned. "Looks like it's over...that bastard is done."

"He was awesome though, Hiru! You have to give him some credit." Emma said in a sad tone which got on Hitoshi's nerves. 'Damn, they are annoying.'

Meanwhile, the hero course students were surprised as Tsuyu decided to speak her mind. "Mr. Aizawa, is he quirk not working or something? Why isn't he using his quirk?"

"Yeah!" Mina wondered, some of the students sharing her concern. "I mean he's been doing alright without it but still."

"That's an understatement. He took out thirty points worth of robots without a quirk. That is impressive." Momo commented with, her eyes closed as she saw the robots surrounded Izuku. "Too bad he won't be in the hero course despite all his efforts if he doesn't try harder."

"Don't be quick to judge something, soldiers." Touma stated which made everyone gave him looks of confusion. Izuku smirked before he quickly went into his pockets and took out a few marbles, nimbly evading the machine's strikes before he aimed at the robots.

"Focus." He thought aloud, making a baseball pitcher's pose before he started to close his eyes. 'Remember baseball practice...'

"Izuku, you have a lot of talents. Maybe you need to try and combine those talents to make something of yourself. Just take your time and make your choice. I'll be rooting for you, Little Might."

Remembering his father's words, Izuku took a deep breath as his left arm started to glow intensely as he glared at the robot and checked their location. Snipe noticed the look in the verdette's eyes. "So he's using his ace already."

'Ace?' Shouta raised a brow before he looked at the monitor. Stomping the ground, Izuku took a deep breath as his eyes glowed intensely, veins bulging out of his left arm as his scar starts to illuminate.

"Push!" Izuku yelled, throwing the marbles, the palm of the gauntlet glowing as a force pushed the marbles forward like bullets which made it easily pierced through the robots and destroying them. Katsuki was in pure disbelief when he saw Izuku's quirk in action before it changed to anger as he glared at the verdette. 'No way...h-he has a quirk? My eyes have to be fucked up! He has a quirk?!'

Shouta was shocked by this before he turned to Snipe. "Explain."

"He asked me for training on his quirk. Those gauntlets are supposed to shoot blasts but it takes a lot so he was training to focus his power to get the best efficiency out of the gauntlets that he has. Kid's got a hell of a left arm too. And good aim. I don't know who created those gauntlets but those are some amazing support gears." Touma explained, much to Shouta's surprise. 'So he was even training behind the scenes. Izuku Midoriya...you never cease to amaze me.'

"Woah!" Mina shouted in surprise. Itsuka was shocked as well before she calmed down. "He had that up his sleeve!"

"Yes, that is a powerful quirk. However, what confuses me is how did he fail the practical before with a quirk like that?" Momo thought as she watched Izuku use a part of one of the robots to rip another in two. Shouta turned to his student. "It's simple, Yaoyorozu. Think about it. A quirk like that and he hardly uses it. There can only be one good reason."

Izuku moved away from one of the robots before he felt his grip on his staff loosening before he switched to his bat. Turning on the electricity on his bat, the verdette's left arm felt completely numb, the limb falling limp and beginning to emit smoke. "Woah! Almost cut it a little close. Any later and I would be unable to use the bat. Let's go."

"Is his arm...burning?" Ochaco said in shock as she saw Izuku's left arm showing smoke as he fought off the bots with his right arm, able to gain some points.

"Not exactly." Snipe answered, everyone turning to him. "It's a side effect of his quirk. His body tends to...overheat. Basically, becoming unusable for the moment. It spends too much energy."

Hitoshi and the other remedial course students watched, the students all watched in awe and shock as they saw Izuku used his quirk. Emma shot up from her seat, her face completely distorted between shock and frustration. "How?! I thought his quirk could only kick up dust! That's so cool!"

Mei nonchalantly watched Izuku with a carefree look on her face while Hitoshi's expression became grim as he watched the verdette's state. "Now here comes the hard part."

Meanwhile, Izuku dashed and smacked the robots with his bat, having more difficulty than he did before since he is at half strength. Barely able to dodge a hit from a one-pointer, the verdette destroyed its arm before he took out his staff and poke it into the eye which depower it. Looking at the scoreboard, Izuku noticed that he has forty-five points before he had to block an attack that sent him into a wall. "Ow..."

"Three minutes are left."

Hearing the announcement, the verdette ran away from the robots out of panic, observing their patterns and movements as he did so. 'Look for openings and weak points. Just like before.'

Dismantling as much robots as he could, Izuku noticed the feeling coming back in his left hand which made him smile. "Nice timing."

He then jumped onto a wall and dashed at his opponents, stabbing one in the eye with his staff before he picked up his bat with his left arm. He then went on the offensive as he destroyed the robots with his bat and staff.

"One minute is left."

Izuku was surprised before he looked at his points, seeing that he has fifty-one points which made him click his teeth when he noticed that the robots were too far away from him.

'The loss of my left arm messed up my points. I gotta get more points quickly.' He quickly picked up two stones, gathering the robots in front of him before his right arm glowed as he waited. 'C'mon.'

Seeing them in front of him, he took a deep breath before he threw the stone which hit the robots and knocking them back.

'If I can get at least sixty points, I'm good.' He thought with a smile as he watched for any movement.

Seeing that the robots were not destroyed, Izuku, out of panic, picked up a bunch of stones and threw them at the robots, hitting them and creating a cloud of smoke.

"Score!" Izuku said, panting heavily as a smile came across his face.

Hitoshi put his head in his hands and let out a sigh of relief while Mei jumped in the air with jubilee at the robots being destroyed. On the other side, the hero course students were surprised by Izuku's performance, some of them celebrating his victory as they saw him hunched forward in exhaustion as his arms starts to emit smoke. "I-I did it..."

"Thirty seconds are left!"

The teen let out a sigh, happy to know that the robots were destroyed and he has enough points before he looked up at the point checker, his eyes widened in shock when he noticed that he had 57 points. "Wait, what?"

He then turned to the smoke, seeing the last robot which was a three-pointer that had part of its head taken off but it's still able to move. "How?!"

"Seriously?!" Mei said in annoyance. Hitoshi massaged his temples before he punched the bench. "Now that's just unfair!"

"Ha! I guess he's gonna fail after all." Hiru laughed, Minoru and Emma joining in the laughter while the rest of the students were frozen in shock.

"What the? That is bullshit!" Denki said, Kyoka nodding in agreement as the rest of the remedial class watched. Meanwhile the hero course students were surprised by the robot being alive, Itsuka and Ochaco both sharing a look of worry while Mina made a comment. "Talk about unlucky."

'No, not again. I can't fail again!' Izuku tried to move his arms which came to no avail as he started to panic. 'Crap! I can't move my arms.'

"Twenty seconds are left!"

Seeing the robot coming towards him, he looked around the place before he found his staff, running towards it and lifting it with his teeth. 'I'm not giving up. I can't give up. I have to prove Mr. Aizawa wrong. I can't fail my parents. I can't mess up the promise I made to All Might.'

Izuku dashed towards the villain-bot with the staff in his mouth, not slowing down as the robot prepares to attack him, much to everyone's worry.

"That dude is crazy." Monoma said in shock. Everyone else could only have their eyes glued to the screen as they wondered about the teen's next move.

'Never again.'

Izuku jumped on the robot's arm before he hit the robot with a drop kick, knocking it to the ground and about to stab it with the staff in his mouth but he was hit in the face, knocking the weapon out of the mouth. "Oh no! The staf-"

"Ten seconds are left!"

His head in a panic, Izuku stopped before he harshly stomped on the robot's head, trying to break the glass which was sturdy before he used his feet to rip the machine's head from its body. Using all his might, he gritted his teeth as he pushed the head, ignoring the pain that his body was in.

"Five…"

"C'mon." Mei and Hitoshi said as they watched their friend struggling.

"Four…"

'Please work.' Izuku said, some of the parts on the machine's neck start to crack and pull.

"Three…"

Izuku was unaware of his body starting to glow as he continued to struggle against the robot.

"Two…"

The blonde skeletal man in a suit watched Izuku as the teen started to be able to tear some of the wires. "You can do it."

"One…"

Everyone cheered on as the teen's face turned red before he yelled to the heavens.

"Stop!"

After the announcement was made, Izuku lost his balance which made him fall to the ground on his face. Trying to get up, the teen looked up in hopelessness as the test stopped, robots coming in the place to pick up the pieces of metal. The teen tried to move but it ended in vain when he fell on his back, a shocked expression on his face before he felt frustrated. "N-nooo...Damn it...not again...not fucking again...I haven't fucking change...I can't do nothing at all..."

Izuku was so angry with himself before his consciousness started to fade away. 'No matter what I do...I'm always a failure...'

Katsuki was confused. He was angrily confused. He did not know what to think.

Katsuki could not believe what he saw at the exams earlier, Izuku Midoriya. He could not believe it.

'But that can't be Deku.' He thought as he pulled his hair. 'Deku has black hair but...the damn stupid face he has. That's definitely Deku's face. But that's impossible.'

"...he was supposed to be quirkless..."

Deku, shitty Deku, useless Deku, had a quirk. A quirk. He was diagnosed to be quirkless and useless forever.

"How?"

Was he hiding that quirk from him? Why would he hide it from him? Was he making fun of him? Watching him make a fool out of himself with his quirk when he had a quirk there. Sure, it's not exactly a special or powerful one but it's a quirk either way.

"Was he laughing at me all this time?" He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, starting to sweat as he panted heavily. "How dare he? That bastard played me for a fool. A fucking dumbass when he had this."

Bakugo was not dreaming this. Deku did get a quirk.

His frustration grew as he made his way home, anger brimming from his body as he started shaking. His eye started twitching and veins appeared on its skin before he got home and went to his bed, putting his head in his hands until he glared at his ceiling.

"That shity nerd. That fucking...shitty nerd. He tricked me. He fucking tricked me! And I can't let him get away with this!"

Izuku opened his eyes to a ceiling, closing them to shield himself from the light as he slowly got up, looking around to see walls of white. "Why do I feel a sense of déjà vu? Again?"

Izuku got up from his bed to see Recovery Girl tending to a few students before she noticed him. "Why hello, sweetie. Are you ok?"

"Recovery...Girl?" Izuku looked around in confusion before he remembered what happened, his gaze hitting the floor. "Oh, I'm ok."

Getting up, the verdette still felt a little numb in his arms as he lifted himself off his bed with a gloomy expression which did not unnoticed by the old nurse. "Kid..."

Izuku turned to the woman who patted him on the back with a smile. "You have done well, sweetie. Look how much you have changed in four months. Failure doesn't mean it's the end of your journey."

Izuku, who had a dejected expression on his face, nodded lifelessly as he bowed down to the woman in gratitude. "...thank you, Miss..."

He then left the room, his expression noticed by the elderly woman who smiled. "Because if you keep trying, your efforts will bear fruit, sonny."

As he made his way down the hall, Izuku felt depressed and frustrated while looking at his phone. He failed. He failed the remedial exams. He trained for four months, four months of training, four months of him pushing his body to its absolute limits and despite his efforts.

It was all for naught.

"I failed." He opened his mouth before he kicked a can out of frustration. "I can't believe I fucking failed."

He punched the wall before he slid to the ground. "Why am I even surprised? Why am I even fucking surprised? Damn it."

Izuku stayed like that for a while until it was time for class to end, the teen walking up in class, getting snickers from some of his classmates.

"Hey, look! The failure is here." Hiru chuckled under his breath.

"Don't sweat it, Midoriya. I will riot if they don't put you in the course." Denki tapped Izuku's shoulder with a thumbs up, Kyoka agreeing with them. "You should be more worried about yourself, bolt boy but I agree with him."

"Will you ever call me by my name, Jiro?"

"No. Bolt boy is more memorable."

Hitoshi put his hand on Izuku's shoulder before he had an annoyed look on his face. "I think it's also messed up how the last robot was the one who decided to have a phase two moment and give you trouble."

The door opened, Snipe and Eraser Head looked around as they entered before the Gun Hero spoke up. "Good. Everyone's here. Go ahead, Shouta."

"I have the results for your exams here. We have to grade you all early and very quickly since we need for you all to be situated to the Hero Course program and due to the fact that there is few of you that took the remedial." Shouta waved a paper in his hand before he let out a sigh and started to read the paper.

"Here are the people who have passed."

"Denki Kaminari." He started, the blonde teen smiled before he made a pose in the air, much to Kyoka's amusement.

"Kyoka Jiro, Toru Hagakure-"

"YES, I PASSED!" Toru jumped excitedly, her body shining intensely before she heard Shouta clear his throat which made her be quiet as her body turned invisible. "Sorry..."

Shouta continued to list the names, each name making Izuku feel like he wants the earth to open up and swallow him whole. "Yosetsu Awase, Kosei Tsuburaba, Hitoshi Shinso."

"Oh thank God." Hitoshi let out a sigh of relief as a huge smile came across his face, he rubbed the back of his head as a small tear welled up in his eye. "Finally...I have to tell my mom..."

Izuku felt happy for his friend but still feeling disappointment at his own inability to pass. 'I guess this is it. He's able to get to the Hero Course.'

"Izuku Midoriya."

Izuku could not believe what he heard before he looked at his teachers who were discussing with each other, Hitoshi putting his arm around Izuku's neck with a smile. "We passed! Awesome!"

"What?! How?! He didn't get sixty points or over!" Hiru shouted angrily, Minoru nodded in agreement. "Yeah! He should have failed!"

"Izuku Midoriya has actually defeated sixty points worth of robots." Shouta showed the class a video of Izuku's practical test, seeing that the last robot that he struggled to defeat losing power and deactivate while Izuku was still trying to pry off its head. "As you can see, the wires for the last robot were severed, making it lose power at the last two seconds of the test. Midoriya however, did not notice this due to his panicked state and thought that it was still alive."

"Understandable." Kyoka nodded. "I would've lost my cool as well in that situation."

"I mean he trained his butt off for this. It'd be seriously unfair if he didn't pass. I was gonna sue." Denki chimed in. Izuku was shocked to say the least. He passed. He passed the exam. Everything felt like a dream. Pinching his cheek, he looked at Shouta who looked away from him. After he finished announced the names, everyone was happy apart from three people whose names were not stated.

"This is bullshit! I can't believe I failed and that loser won!" Hiru yelled in frustration as he pointed at Izuku, Minoru looking at the floor in disappointment while Emma was crying. "I can't believe I failed. I was trying so hard."

"Remember what you have done today, the progress that you have done these past four months. It is not for naught. You are not the people that you are four months ago. You are all different people today and you must do better. Know that this is not the end of your journeys. I wish the best for all of you in your lives." Shouta stated with a slight smile on his face. "All the people who have passed will receive emails and mails with information about your new course and the classes you will be situated in. Dismissed. The course is now over!"

"Yes, sir!" Everyone said, except a few who failed the exams. After a while, everyone was celebrating as Toru came up with an idea. "Why don't we have a graduation party for us getting into the hero course?"

"We can have it at the cafe Midoriya works at." Hitoshi suggested, Izuku surprised by this before he whispered in his ears. "It would be good publicity. The cafe being a good UA spot!"

"Oh really!" Toru's eyes lit up before she went to Izuku. "Can you do that for us, Midoriya? We wanna set one up for Sunday this weekend."

"Oh! I'll set up a time and date for the party." Izuku said as he took out his phone and went outside to call Naomi. After he made his call, he found himself being mesmerized by the sky, an unreadable expression on his face as he felt the wind gently hitting his body. "I passed, huh? I can't believe it."

"It is reality." Izuku heard a voice behind him, seeing Shouta who had his arms in his pockets.

"Gotta say, kid. You managed to prove me wrong out there. You persevered with your guts, wits and your strengths and you managed to make your quirk into something more than it can be in the short time that you have." Shouta said before he leaned on the wall beside Izuku before handing him a piece of paper which made the kid confused. 'Huh?'

"Don't ever lose that drive. It is what took you this far and it will take you much further. Also, take care of yourself, Izuku Midoriya. You've earned this." Izuku turned to see the man gone, looking back at the piece of paper which is a bank statement. "It's my remedial course charge voucher...it's paid..."

Izuku looked around before he let out a sigh of relief, a huge smile on his face as some tears bubbled in his eyes. "Finally...Finally..."

"Hey, Midoriya." Izuku turned to see Hitoshi, Mei and the other remedial course students waiting at him. "C'mon, let's go to the arcade!"

The verdette smiled before he got up and ran to them, all of them making their way out of the college and to their destination as he had a thought in his head as he held the bank paper.

'This is my first step.'

Finished. Just like this little course. It wasn't supposed to be anything long. I had a lot of fun writing each student going through the exam and Izuku and Hitoshi have finally passed. Now we're going to the real hero stuff. I don't have much to say to be honest so I hope you all will enjoy this chapter and please be safe. Enigma out!
