"Cheers to graduating to the Hero Course, everyone!" Toru yelled as she energetically held her drink into the air, everyone following her with a smile and bumped their drinks together.
"Cheers!"
Everyone were enjoying themselves as the party continued, Denki and Toru singing while Kyoka put her head on the desk and ate quietly, embarrassed at her blonde friend's antics as he saw everyone laughing at his terrible singing. Meanwhile, Mei, Izuku and Hitoshi were playing Uno, Mei losing considerably which made she started to slam the table.
"What the hell? Why are there so many rules? Ooooh, who threw that plus four?!" She looked around the table, seeing Izuku looking away which made her gasp before she attacked him. "I trusted you! I thought you were my friend!"
"I'm sorry! It was the only one I could play!"
"Ah~ The tragedy of Uno." Kyoka commented, Denki nodding as he ate a slice of pizza. As the party continued, they all played games before Denki noticed Izuku's player name. "Zuku99? That's your player name?"
"O-oh! Uhhh, yeah!" Izuku answered, Kyoka raising a brow. "That's an odd username."
"I dunno. Zuku sounds cool. Easier for me to call him that since he plays Mario Kart with that username." Hitoshi said while he was fighting Denki, the two of them trying hard until Hitoshi lost.
"Izuku. You ever had a nickname in highschool or middle school that someone used to call you?" Hitoshi asked, everyone turning to Izuku who was trying to remember the names his parents were giving him but they were very embarrassing. Izuku then remembered his days in high school and middle school, a name from those days that he does not want to remember as he simply want to forget those days.
Without thinking twice, he smiled before he shook his head. "No. I don't have any nicknames back then."
"Alright! You shall be dubbed 'Zuku'! I'm going to call you Midori though!" Toru exclaimed excitedly while she drank another glass of soda.
"I'm calling you Zuku then. Hope you enjoy your new nickname." Hitoshi shrugged his shoulders before he put his arm around Izuku. Izuku thought for a while before he had an idea. "S-sure! C-can I call you Toshi then?"
"Huh? Of course, man. We're friends after all!" Hitoshi said matter-of-factly which surprised Izuku who looked at the ground before he looked around.
'Friends...'
The word felt so foreign to him. He always heard the term but it always came at a price of him needing to do something to appease the people, like a subscription. He never got to be happy before when he was 'friends' with someone, only they get to be happy while he only did the work or be their punching bag.
"Hey, Hatsumei! You gonna any more of those do-dads that you made for Midoriya and Shinso?" When Toru stated that, Mei's face lit up as she ran to the invisible girl. "They're my babies and I could get one for you!"
Izuku watched everyone around him enjoying themselves, him also happy as he enjoyed spending time with them. This was the first party that he enjoyed with his friends in years as he was unaware of Naomi taking a picture of him, smiling when she saw the elated expression on his face.
'It's not often that he smiled like that.' She said as she looked at the pictures, seeing that the teen has been smiling more as she sent them to Inko. 'Inko would be so happy.'
After the party was finished and the day was done, everyone paid for their order and left, Naomi putting her hands on her hips before she noticed the place being clean.
"Izu! Izu!" Naomi called for him, hearing no response before she went upstairs. She peered into his room to see him sleeping soundly, the woman smiling as she closed the door. "Sweet dreams, Izu."
It was the morning after the party, Izuku was looking at his phone with a serious expression on his face as he sorted out his thoughts. It was just a few days ago that he had done the remedial test to admit himself to the Hero Course program. It was just a few days ago that he put all his efforts to the forefront to pass the exam. It was just a few days ago he almost had a heart attack about failing the test. It was just a few days ago that he was informed that he had passed the remedial exam.
He is now in the official Hero Course program.
Izuku looked at the email that he received that stated that he has passed the course. He had to rub his eyes multiple times to the point where they started to turn red.
"Everything still feels like a dream." He said as he read the email again on his computer. "Oh! I have to tell Mom! She's gonna lose her mind!"
Making a call, he anxiously listened to the ringing sounds of the phone as he waited in the silence of his room. As he heard a beep, he tried to hold back his excitement as he spoke. "Good morning, Mom."
"Hi, Izuku. How are you? Is everything ok there? Have you been brushing your teeth? You're not hurt or anything? I-"
"I'm ok, Mom. I'm doing alright." Izuku said as a smile spread across his face, his body shaking as his mind was set on one goal. 'Time to tell her the truth. I had to stop Aunt Nao from telling her.'
Taking a deep breath, he began. "Mom, I have something I want to tell you."
"O-oh really. What's wrong?" Inko said with a hint of worry in her tone. Izuku took a deep breath before he spoke.
"Mom, I have a quirk!"
There was silence on the phone call for a while which made Izuku worried as he tried to listen for any validation. After a while of hearing nothing, he then decided to speak again, this time saying the other good news that he had. "I also passed the Remedial Hero course exam. I'm gonna be in the hero course soon!"
Silence came again which made the teen break in a cold sweat as he wondered if he has done something wrong. He then heard a thud which made him very concerned as he jumped from his chair. "Uhh...Mom? Mom!"
"..."
"Mom! Are you ok?" Izuku looked at his phone to see that the call was still ongoing. 'Did I say something wrong?'
"..."
"Mom..."
"MY BABY! MY BABY IS GONNA BE A HERO!" Inko cried, surprising him before he let out a sigh of relief. He then heard Yumemi groaning in the background. "Mommy! You're gonna drown the house!"
"B-b-but my baby Izuku has a quirk! And he's gonna be in the hero course!" Inko sniffled, Yumemi patting her mom before she took the phone. "Sorry, Uku. Mommy's shooting water again!"
"Oh, ok. make sure to give her the shiny water." Izuku said, Yumemi went for a bottle of water. "Tell Mom I'm going to call her later. And don't cause any trouble at school, Yu!"
"Okie dokie, Uku! Buh-bye!" Yumemi said before he heard his mother's voice in the background. "I"M SO PROUD OF YOU, SON! WAAA-"
The call cut off, Izuku looking out the window before he noticed the time.
"Oh shoot! I need to get to work!" Izuku said before he dashed out of his room, ready to start his work that day.
"Thank you, Yu." Inko said after drinking a glass of water as Yu made a salute with a smile. "Got it, Mommy. It's time to go."
Inko was happy to hear what has happened. Her son. Her little boy Izuku has finally gotten a quirk. And what's more, her baby boy has passed his remedial course exams.
He is finally on his path of becoming a hero.
Inko was on cloud nine until she saw Yumemi who was dressed in a yellow and red dress and black school shoes, the little girl hopping in the air and pulling the end of her office skirt. "C'mon, Mommy! We have to goooo!"
"Oh! Ok, Yu. Let's go." She said before she got her handbag and left the house with her daughter.
It has been a stressful couple of years for the woman, life at work has been very hard especially with Izuku being quirkless. Her fellow coworkers insulted and mocked her for having a child that does not have a quirk. Every day, she has to deal with being undermined and ridiculed. She's honestly surprised that she has not gained weight from the stress from worrying about her son and hoping that the worse has not happened to her son since the accident. Fortunately, not all of her colleagues think the same and some treat her the same and have respect for her despite her situation. She can also thank Izuku for being the helpful son he was by trying his best to get some odd jobs to help her with the bills, Inko feeling a sense of happiness when she reminisced on those thoughts.
Remembering the things he endured, Inko looked at her daughter as her grip rightened on the girl, wishing that the same does not happen to Yumemi.
"Mommy, we're here!" Inko snapped out of her trance when she noticed that she reached Yumemi's school, the girl running inside the school and greeting her friends. Seeing her daughter waving at her, Inko waving back before she noticed the ring on her finger, a smile showing on her face as she rubbed the ring. "Hisashi...thank you for not giving up on him."
After a while, she reached her workplace, the woman taking a deep breath as she entered the facility. She then made her way to her cubicle, greeting all the people who waved at her before she sat down, hearing a voice from the intercom. "Inko Midoriya. Please report to the manager's office. I repeat. Inko Midoriya. Please report to the manager's office."
Inko was surprised by this before she went on her way to the destination, hearing the voices of her coworkers along the way.
"Wonder what happened to her?"
"Is she finally getting fired? We don't need a useless person like her in the company."
"C'mon, man. She's super talented. Have you seen her designs and sewing?"
"Dunno. Don't care. She gave birth to a quirkless defect."
Ignoring their comments, Inko calmly made her way to the manager's quarters and opened the door, seeing a man with a bald head and dark-tinted glasses who was sitting in a chair in the middle of the room, his hands leaning on a table before his rugged eyes landed on the green haired woman.
"Please take a seat, Mrs. Midoriya." His voice was deep, echoing through the entire room as Inko sat down and waited for the man to speak while the man was looking through some documents on his table.
"Mrs. Midoriya. I have been looking at the work you have been doing and I want to let you know that you will be finally receiving a promotion." The man said excitedly as he clapped his hands together. "I know of your circumstances with your husband's condition along with your children and I want to let you know that I'm very impressed with your work throughout the years. Also, I'm seeing that you're learning biology as well. Your knowledge of the human body is very astonishing. Did you study biology in school?"
"Well, used to." Inko said sheepishly before she cleared her throat. "But lately, I've been interested in getting back to studying the subject again since I've gotten a bit intrigued with the medical field."
"Oh, I see. With your abilities, I can see you doing well in that field." The manager stated with a smile before he got up and looked out of the window. "Keep up the good work, Mrs. Midoriya."
"Thank you, sir." Inko bowed with a smile however inside she was not as excited as she should be.
Truth is, she should have been promoted years ago as she was doing a far better job than most of the employees and was on the way of getting one early. She was even well received among her peers and was considered one of the most popular and competent female workers in the workplace. However, all of that ended after one of the employees learnt that her son was quirkless, news of this information made her lost her promotion and also changed everyone's behaviour towards her. Those smiles and waves that she got turned into glares and sneers.
She lost her place in the company.
Inko was always looked down upon due to her son being quirkless, everyone speaking behind her back that her genes must be weak or non-existent and how she is cursed. She did not fight back, she could not fight back. If she fought back, that means that she would lose her job and she could not lose it with the situation she was in at the time. Instead, she kept working as hard as she could. She had to work hard for her children and her bed-ridden husband.
"How early can you start working in your new position?" The manager stated, knocking Inko out of her trance.
"I can start as soon as you'd like." She replied with a smile as she thought about her situation. The manager turned to her, a proud smile on his face as he made his announcement. "You'll start tomorrow then."
"Thank you." Inko bowed in gratitude before she was gestured to leave, the moment she opened the door, she heard the manager. "Ms. Midoriya. I know it has not been easy with how you have been treated and I commend you for your diligence despite that. I'm just glad that management finally took notice of your efforts."
"Thank you, sir." She said before she closed the door.
Leaving the office, Inko was a bit happy for her promotion as she made plans on her phone. 'With this, I can pay off Hisashi's medical bills that were piling up for the last couple months. There's also Izuku and Yumemi's school fees. I know Izuku wanted to get a job to take some burden off my shoulders but he needs to focus on school. Also...'
She looked at the calendar on her phone to see that it's almost Yumemi's birthday. 'I can get her something for her on her birthday. She is going to be...'
Inko's eyes widened in fear, her teeth clattering as her eyes started to water before she mumbled.
"Four..."
Inko started to slowly panic as she went back to her cubicle, calming herself down before she began her work. After a few hours of working, a blonde man came into her cubicle dramatically with a rose in his mouth. "Good morning, Mrs. Midoriya. Beautiful as always."
"Good morning, Mr. Kanata. Thanks for the compliment." Inko smiled sweetly, getting a rose from the man as he spun around and sat in the cubicle beside her. "Why don't we go out sometimes? Just to grab a drink or two."
"I would love to but I'm busy. I have to visit the hospital with Yu soon." She said before she continued typing, leaving a pouting Mr. Kanata. They continued until it was break time, Mr. Kanata watched as Inko oozed a pleasant aura around her while she was eating some muffins that made her squeal silently and happily.
"This feels so soothing. Like I'm watching an angel." Mr. Kanata said as he and some other guys are taking a break by the water tank. While the guys were speaking to each other, they heard a dainty voice behind them, seeing a short red-haired woman who had a black work outfit.
"Hey, Hakari. Need some water?" One of the guys handing her a glass of water.
"No." She refused before she saw them watching Inko. "You're watching Mrs. Midoriya again? What's so great about her anyways?"
"What is there not to love?" Mr. Kanata stated before drinking his cup of water, the guys agreeing with him. "Despite her age, she has a great figure and looks very young. She's like an angel."
"With green hair!"
"And she's so kind. Just having her around make work less unbearable."
"I wonder who's the bastard that gets to go home to see her. He must be living the good life." One of the guys wandered while playing games on his phone, unaware of the angry sneer on Hakari's face.
"The only thing that is a minus is that her kid's quirkless." A blue haired man asked before he turned to the man behind who was looking at a file. "Kind of a turn off. Eh, Lloyd?"
"I don't care if her kid is quirkless or not. As long as she does her job, I'm ok." The man named Lloyd said, blowing his hair out of his face and continuing to do his work. Hearing this, Hakari gritted her teeth, snatching her printed papers as she returned to her seat. 'Why is she so damn popular? She's married. They must have forgotten that she nearly got fat a few years ago. The hell is that about?'
"I dunno. I've seen her kid and that boy is very respectful. He is a timid kid but he is just like her." One of the guys said, Kanata shooting him a glare as Hakari crossed her arms. "You're just saying that because you want to get on her good side."
"Yeah..." The guy said in guilt, scratching his head. Not wanting to hear anymore, Hakari stomped away but not before shooting a glare at Inko.
'That damn old hag.'
As Hakari was walking back to her cubicle, veins appeared on her forehead as she gripped the papers on her desk, her hands transforming into scales. The woman continued to work like this until she bumped into Inko on the way to the printer, his blood boiling when she glared at the source of her anger.
"S-Sorry." Inko said before she picked up the papers and handed them to her. "Hope that you're ok."
Seeing that she got some of the attention of the men in the office from her smile and aura, the redhead reached her limit after seeing this. 'Damn it. I should be the one getting their attention. This little rise in popularity she's getting is pissing me off.'
"Damn old hag." Hakari silently muttered before she threw a cup of water which was stopped by Inko, the cup floating in midair before she brought it towards herself. "Phew! You dropped this. At least none of the water fell to the ground."
"You fucking bitch! You're nothing but a useless bitch! Everything about you! Do you think you're good as me?! You'll never be as good as me!" She yelled at the top of her lungs which surprised. Inko listened to the woman, barely unfazed by her words as she just stood there with a smile which made Hakari even angrier. "What's wrong, huh?! Cat got your tongue?! Just a spineless coward! No wonder your husband got hurt!"
Hearing that, Inko bit her lip to calm herself. Inko knows more than anyone what happened that day. The thugs breaking into her and attacked her and Hisashi, her husband getting hurt and now in a coma. The day that scarred her little daughter and nearly made her lose her son die.
'Calm down. Calm...down.'
"I should go back to work. I'm sorry if I have offended you in anyway." Inko said in a shaky tone.
Taking deep breaths, the green-haired woman decided to turn around and walk away without sparing Hakari a glance which made the redhead angrier, her arms growing scales as her teeth turned to fangs. "Your husband must be blind as hell to marry you! You even gave him a useless kid! I'm surprised that the kid ain't dead yet! He has no use in society! Your daughter might probably be the same!"
"Please stop...what did I do to you..." Inko said, her tone sending a chill to some of the employees as Mr. Kanata tried to stop Hakari. "Ms. Tsubaki. You should stop-"
"No! That damn woman was a damn nobody! No one even looked at her. And now she's suddenly getting up because she got a damn promotion! None of you even liked her! She's weak! Her genes are weak! Probably might have slept with the higher ups to get the promotion!"
"That's not true! Well, I can't speak for all of us but some of us respect her!" Kanata said but he was cut off by the lizard woman.
"Bullshit! She's just garbage! Just like her damn son and family" Upon hearing that, Inko stopped in her stride, some of the small items like cups, pens and cables starting to float in the air which went unnoticed by the people in the room.
"Stop! Please don't think like that. Do you understand the pain that quirkless people have to go through? Hell, for the past few months, they are getting kidnapped left and right! That boy is strong! Most would resort to suicide by now!" Mr. Kanata said which got a twitch out of Inko. He and some of the other employees held back Hakari who cackled.
"Oh well, he had the right idea. He should've just kill hims-" The woman paused when she noticed a pen floating just inches from her face. She looked in front of her to see something that made her and the employees step back in fear.
"Don't you dare talk about my son or my husband like that!" Inko said, giving the woman an angry glare that caused Hakari to fall to the ground and shake out of fear. The lizard woman was surprised by this, seeing pure rage and aggression from the usually sweet and timid Inko Midoriya.
"Who are you to speak about them?! You don't even know them! You haven't seen how amazing people they are! Never ever speak their name out of your mouth again! You understand?!" Inko spoke, anger dripping from her tone like venom which scared Hakari who nodded her head quickly. "I-I-I'm sorry...I-I'm sorry..."
All of the items fell to the ground, Inko holding her head as she felt the intense headache. The green-haired woman did not realize that she was crying, descending to the ground herself before she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up to see the manager who had a disappointed look on his face as his gaze went to Hakari.
"Mrs. Midoriya. Why don't you take the day off? You need it anyway. Especially with your change tomorrow." The manager suggested, Inko tried to protest but he spoke in a loud voice which echoed through the room. "Listen everyone! Mrs. Midoriya will be receiving a promotion and will become a supervisor so I want all of you to treat her with respect."
Seeing the man's cold glare along with his booming voice, everyone nodded as he gestured for Inko to gather her stuff and left which she did. As she made her way to the entrance, she saw Kanata turned to her with his arms crossed. "Mrs. Midoriya. I apologize for Mr. Hakari's behavior. I never knew she was like that."
"I want to say it's ok but she insulted my family." Inko said with a smile before it quickly turned to a frown when she remembered what the red-haired woman said. "I'll forgive her just this once but I don't want to be around her anymore if she's going to continue like that."
"I understand. The manager's planning to punish her for her outburst." Kanata said before he bowed again. "I hope you rest well, Mrs. Midoriya. And thank you for your hard work."
Inko bowed to him as well before she smiled. "Thank you."
"Looking forward to working with you, supervisor."
Leaving the workplace, she went to a nearby park to take a seat and drink a can of coffee, massaging her temple to soothe her headache. Enjoying the gentle breeze, Inko looked at the ring on her finger which made her feel melancholic as she rubbed the jewelry. "I need to pay him a visit since I have time today."
Finishing her coffee and able to recover from her headache, Inko decided to go to the hospital after looking at her bank account. "Alright, I have enough to pay for Sashi's medical fees."
Going to the hospital, she spoke to the receptionist and paid the bills for her husband's health fees. After she was finished, she requested to visit Hisashi, the nurse accepting her request as they escorted her to her husband's room. "Here it is, Mrs. Midoriya. Take your time."
"Thank you." Inko bowed as the nurse left.
Entering the room, Inko was introduced to silence as she made her way to Hisashi who was in the hospital bed, sleeping soundly. Inko looked at his face, her heart stung when she saw his cheeks and eyes slightly sunken.
'Look what happened to you.' Inko thought, her gaze lowered as she enjoyed the silence within the room.
She noticed a beard slowly growing around his chin, the woman rubbing her fingers against it to feel her fingers prickled. Another thing she noticed was that the man's hair has gotten longer, passing shoulder length. 'It has been three years since then...'
"Sashi..." Inko sat at the seat beside his bed.
"It's nice to see you again. You're looking better for someone who's been in the bed for a while." Inko brushed the hair from Hisashi's face, a small smile appearing on her face as she kissed his forehead. "But you need a haircut when you get out of here."
She saw the ring on the man's hand which reminded her of the accident that put him in this situation. She remembered that nightmare of a night where they were both attacked by a group of delinquents and gang members, Hisashi protecting her when one of them shot at them, her eyes widened when she saw him fall to the ground. She could not even get the chance to call for his name or cry when they turned to her and shot at her. Inko touched her hip and looked at her leg, the limb not as strong or mobile as it was three years ago which made her unable to go on long walks and unable to do strenuous activities.
"Sashi...there's a lot I want to talk about with you. Like how we got scarred by that accident." She said, leaning back in her seat and holding her husband's hand. "So many bad things happened...but there were some good things too..."
Silence took reign for a while as the woman looked at her leg again, feeling the bullet wound on her thigh. Tears started to come out of her eyes when she remembered what she was informed in the morning, a smile came across her face. "Sashi...I got a promotion...also, Izuku...he has a quirk. He finally has a quirk. The quirk caught me off guard but he also passed the Remedial Course exams for the official Hero Course. He is officially on his way of being a hero. He's gonna become a hero."
She looked at her phone, seeing several pictures of Izuku from the day he was born until she reached a picture with him in his work uniform and another with him partying with a few of his classmates with them holding up a banner that said 'Remedial Course winners'. Looking through the gallery, the green-haired woman noticed that she received an email from UA, showing that she has nothing to pay for the fee of the Remedial Course due to Izuku being on a scholarship which made her smile.
Inko then showed pictures of their son to her husband. "Look at our son, Sashi. Our baby boy. Our Little Might. I have never been so proud of Izuku...truly I am. For the first time in his life, he...was rewarded for his efforts. He...finally has a dream that he can chase."
Her smile then went to a frown. "I'm very happy for him. I truly am. Then there's Yumemi...she's about to be four years and I'm scared for her. What if she becomes diagnosed as quirkless as well? I can't allow her to go through that. I..."
Inko stopped, taking a moment to collect herself before she looked at the ceiling.
"Sashi...because of Izuku...his undying determination, it made me more encouraged to get back into something I thought I would never come back to." Inko stated as she lifted her hands and used her quirk, floating a few of her items from her bag, including a book on biology that she floated to her hands. "I have been training my quirk for a while just for this. I didn't know I was this sloppy. I know that if you hear about this, you would have a huge grin on your face."
After she spoke out her feelings and frustrations to her husband, Inko let out a sigh of relief before she put back her objects into her bag, getting up when she saw it was getting late. "I have to go get Yumemi. I'm honestly happy I was able to see you today. Sashi...I hope you wake up soon."
Thanking the nurse at the reception desk, she left the hospital with a smile before making her way to Yumemi's school with a newfound resolve on her face as she looked at the building. She then repositioned her hair to a side ponytail before she left.
"I will do what I can for my family. I want to be able to walk with my children every step of the way."
After the day was done and the Tsuki Cafe's doors was shut, Izuku and the other employees enjoyed their dinner before the verdette decided to get up and went to his room. He was feeling something that he had never felt in a long time. He felt happy when he looked at the other email he received that informed him about some items that he will need to retrieve at UA in order to attend the official hero course.
"I can't believe it...I'm in the hero course now." He thought aloud, feeling a fluffy feeling in his chest. Izuku walked to his room window and looked out at the city of Kawasaki, enjoying the night air as he watched the numerous lights flashing around with a smile until he heard his phone ringing, picking it up to see that he is getting a call from Hitoshi which he answered.
"You got the papers?"
"Yes. Also, stop sounding like you're in a mafia movie, man." Izuku deadpanned as he looked at his email. Hitoshi snickered, Izuku hearing video game sounds in the background before he decided to speak. "So what's up? Which class are you going to, Shinso?"
"Class 1A." Hitoshi read the paper in his hand. "You?"
Izuku looked at his email before he saw the class that he will be going to. "Class...1B...they're putting me in Class 1B. I guess we're in different classes."
"Seriously? I can't copy from you now." Hitoshi groaned. "That sucks."
"Yeah, I can't-what?"
"Nothing."
Izuku raised a brow before he leaned on his wall, looking at his gauntlets on the table as he picked a muscle cruncher. "Anyways. We have a few days until we start along with the official students. Apparently, we will have to catch up big time with the other students."
"Another headache." Hitoshi groaned while he was playing games which got a laugh out of Izuku who opened one of his notebooks. "I mean, Mr. Aizawa did say this is just the first step and things are gonna get rowdy from here."
"Oh great...that's what I need..." The purple-haired teen let out an annoyed sigh as he fell down on his bed. "That sounds absolutely wonderful. Nothing better than training your body until you're unable to move."
"Izmi!" Izuku heard Kokoa calling him which made him jump from his bed.
"Oh! Coming!" The verdette answered before he went back on the phone. "Well, I gotta go. I'll talk to you tomorrow."
"Yeah, man. Don't die."
"I...can't make any promises." Izuku said before he ended the call and left his room to help Kokoa.
"This is concerning." Naomasa stated when he looked at an alleyway, seeing blood splattered around the place along with a disembodied arm on the ground. As the police inspected the scene, the detective took up some samples of the blood before he provided it to his partner who touched the blood. "Yeah, this is the blood of the missing person."
"Anything else?"
"Nothing. No other DNA of other people?"
"So another dead end?" Naomasa clicked his teeth in frustration as he looked around the place. He then looked around the alley, his eyes squinted when he saw a few scratch marks on the wall. 'Seems to be signs of a struggle here.'
"Is there anything unfamiliar at the crime scene?" He asked, gesturing his partner to pick the blood from the places where the scratch marks are. The officers shook their head as they lifted the lid of a trash can. "Not at all. And that is strange. You think they would be a blood trail but like the other accidents, the trail cuts off."
"SMASH!"
They all heard an echo before they saw a villain crashing into the ground. Immediately after, All Might landed beside the villain before he picked up and put him in cuffs, much to the police's relief as a few of them took the villain and drove off to the police station. All Might then walked towards the scene before he saw the aftermath which shocked him. "W-what happened here?"
"The conclusion of a brawl. A bloody one. The blood spilt was shown to be of the person that was ambushed. From the information that we have on the person who was kidnapped, they seemed to be someone who was quirkless. No evidence was shown for the attacker." Naomasa explained, surprising the blonde hero. "Another missing quirkless case? Has it been happening too frequent nowadays?"
"Yeah. The last one was a few weeks ago."
"This is very unsettling." All Might stated as he glanced at the bloodied alleyway, his fists tightening. "A maniac that is targeting quirkless people. This is not good."
"I might need to put an alert for Eraser Head and Snipe." Naomasa took out his phone and made a call. "We need them to keep patrol around the area to ensure safety to the UA students. We can't have a repeat of this. Let's hope that UA does not have any quirkless students because we will need to keep an eye on them."
All Might's eyes widened when he heard that, remembering a certain green-haired student that was taking the Remedial Course. 'Oh no. Young Midoriya is there. I remember him taking the Remedial course exam.'
"Naomasa." The detective turned to All Might, noticing the grim look on the man's face. "Tell them to keep an eye on a 'Izuku Midoriya'."
"Izuku...Midoriya..." Naomasa raised a brow.
"It was the quirkless boy that I saved in Kyushu three years ago." The blonde hero explained before he tightened his fists. "While in UA and checking on the candidates, I saw his name within the Hero Course."
'Izuku...Midoriya...why does that name sound familiar?' Naomasa thought aloud as he made the call, unaware of All Might looking around the street. 'But why the search for quirkless people? Is it a trafficking business?'
As they continued their inspection, all of them were unaware of a pair of glowing, yellow, cat eyes looking at them from afar. "...Interesting..."
Inko's Quirk: Mini-kinesis
Inko's quirk allows to be able to telepathically lift small objects. Inko can move these items towards herself. She cannot lift any object over a pound and she can lift up to 7 small objects. The heavier the object, the more power it takes to move them. If she goes for too long, she will get a headache and be unable to use her quirk for an hour.
This chapter was honestly a cool chapter to write. I love Inko as a character and she is honestly one of my favorite shounen mothers. I enjoyed writing this chapter. Also, there is a maniac on the move killing quirkless people. I wonder who that is. Hope you guys enjoyed the story so far and let me know of your thoughts if you have any. Enigma out!
