Okay so first fanfic! If something seems off or something goes wrong, it's because I'm still figuring out the app. And things keep getting deleted and switched up... I'll try to update this story frequently. But with school and all it's going to be busy.

Chapter 1-

"What?!" Astrid yelled, unable to believe what she was hearing. "You enrolled me in an all boys school?!" Why out of all the schools did she have to pick one I can't even go to.

"I'm sorry honey, but you know how money is right now..." Astrid's mother, Ingrid, said. "I'm sorry. But this is what we have to deal with right now..."

"Okay... But, what about, well... this." Astrid said, pointing to herself. Being the only girl in an all boys school would be weird...

"Well..." Astrid's mom started, unsure of how to explain herself.

"Good thing the school doesn't require uniforms, so you can wear baggy clothing to cover yourself. And... you can always braid you hair and hide it somehow..." Astrid's mom said in thought.

"Okay, I guess that will work..." Astrid said. She knew she really had no choice. It was what her mother said, or nothing. But wait... "Do I have a roommate?"

"I think so..." Said Astrid's mom. Great, just great. This will make things much harder to hide, Astrid thought to herself. "You will start there in about two weeks" Astrid's mom stated.

Astrid internally sighed and just went up to her room to listen to some music. She'd worry about it tomorrow.

Two weeks later*

"Astrid! Hurry on down here! or you'll be late!" Astrid heard her mom scream from downstairs.

"Coming!" Astrid yelled while carrying her stuff downstairs. This is going to be a long year... Astrid had already gotten an outfit together for the day. A white oversized T-shirt, with a big blue hoodie and black sweats. she has her hair braided and hidden under a short blonde wig. She almost didn't recognize herself, she did look quite like a boy.

Eventually they got all her things in the car and drove off. The school was only 30 minutes away, so it wasn't that bad.

When they got there, Astrid's mom helped her get her stuff to her room before saying her goodbyes.

And there Astrid was, her new room. She took one look around and already couldn't wait to go home for Christmas break. The room had two beds on each side. One side was empty. The other was... Full of stuff. dark green bedsheets, with bright red pillows. Some sewn together black dragon plush, and quite a few pillows.

Each side then has a desk, one empty and one FULL OF STUFF once again. Mostly paper stuff a computer, cords, and other junk. Overall her roommate wasn't too messy.

Astrid then spent the afternoon getting her stuff out of her bags and onto her desk and bed. She had blue bed sheets with a grey pillow. A computer and other essentials. Nothing much.

When she was done, she plopped down onto her bed, satisfied with what she had. When suddenly she heard a knock at her door.

"Hello?" She hears from outside. "Is anybody in here? I think I'm your roommate?"

"Umm, yeah! Come in!" Astrid says In the most manly voice she can muster. She should have practiced beforehand. Because she sounded ridiculous.

The boy that was at the door soon walked in. He looked surprised to see me.

"Umm. H-hey. I'm H-Henry." He said awkwardly. "Nice setup." He says, awkwardly pointing at my side of the room.

"Umm thanks, you have a nice setup too." Astrid says. She no longer really wants to talk because (1, this is really awkward. And (2, she is really tired of trying to sound like a boy.

Henry awkwardly shuffles over to Astrid to shake her hand. "Umm. W-what's your name?"

Oh shoot. Astrid forgot to introduce herself. What was the code name her mom used? Oh Yeah! Ash. It's kinda a stupid name but whatever, Astrid thought to herself.

"Oh! Sorry... I'm Ash." Astrid internally face palmed herself. Did she just apologize?

"T-thats a cool name!" Henry said. "You know a lot of people call me...H-hiccup. You can call me that too if you want..."

"Okaaay... Hiccup. I hope we get to be good friends!" Great... Astrid thought to herself. She doesn't want to make friends... What is she doing?

"Uhh, y-yeah! Same!" Hiccup said. Oh this is so awkward! Astrid thought again.

This is definitely going to be a very long year...

Okay! I don't think I did too bad on the first chapter. It does seem a little short, but trust me, it seems a lot longer when you're the one writing it. Oh well. Stay tuned for more!
