A/N: ‼️IMPORTANT‼️ ️ I've since made changes to the Training Camp Arc to include a new character along with some other minor alterations. It is HIGHLY recommended you reread chapters 32-35, 38-39, and the dream sequence of 55. The most important edits are within those chapters. Have fun, and I hope you like the new character if you're a longtime follower ❤️
If you're a new reader that came after I already added those in this author's note doesn't even matter lol 😂

Hitomi woke up that morning to find the bed empty.
She sat up slowly, rubbing her eyes as they tried to adjust to the sunlight shining through the window. As she looked around the room, all she was greeted with was silence. The memories of last night suddenly came flooding back to her, making her blush. Hitomi traced her fingers along her lips, closing her eyes.
I really did that.
She then proceeded to smack her head with a hiss. "Stupid! Why would you do that?"
What was she thinking saying all those things? Spilling her guts about how much she liked him? Running her fingers through his hair?! What would she have done if he'd gotten woken up by that? Or heard her?
I really am just an idiot…!
Hitomi glanced at her phone to see it was 10 am, meaning she'd slept in again. Honestly, it was better that she woke up alone this time. If she'd woken up when Bakugou was still here, she'd act all awkward around him, and he'd definitely notice that.
What was I even thinking, doing all those things...?
It was just another example of the dumb things she did late at night. Another example of the stupid things she did around him. If she was really going to get rid of her feelings, indulging in them like that was one of the last things she wanted to do.
…
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"
There were loud pops and cracks as streamers erupted up into the air, flying around as Yaoyorozu was showered in confetti. The girl blushed, blowing out the candles on the cake Sato had baked.
Hitomi clapped for Yaoyorozu with the rest of the class, smiling as they all cheered. Yaoyorozu was wearing the necklace Hitomi had made her, making her smile at the sight.
The whole class chatted with each other as they ate cake, giving Yaoyorozu their gifts if they hadn't already and showering her with love. Yaoyorozu was incredibly happy, laughing with everyone as Kirishima and Iida helped Nix set up the barbecue grill on the patio for lunch.
"So, Yaomomo," Uraraka began, resting her arms on the table, "since it's your birthday, what would you like to do today?"
Hitomi sipped her juice as she saw Yaoyoruzu fidget, the girl bringing her hands up to her face as she blushed.
"Um… when we were accompanying Hitomi to buy her swimsuit, there was this flyer I saw…"
"Yeah?"
"I want to go into town and see the equinox festival."
…
Once everyone had eaten, all of Class 1-A had piled into the limo, making their way to the local town.
It was still early afternoon, but since it was the class' last day before they had to go back to Japan, they'd decided to explore. Iida had even asserted that it was a good chance for the class to practice their English skills once Yaoyorozu had mentioned it was the Philippines' official language along with Filipino. Hitomi stared out the window as they passed by the scenery, feeling her mind begin to wander.
I wish we could come here more often. After all, Toku hasn't been here since he was seven…
"...been, Hitomi?"
Hitomi blinked, realizing she was being spoken to. She turned away from the window to see Uraraka looking at her expectantly.
"Huh?"
The brunette giggled, repeating her question. "I said, how's rooming with Bakugou been?"
Hitomi had to fight the urge to scoff. Why can I never go a single second of my life without him coming up?
Hitomi scratched her cheek, looking away. "It's been… a bit rough, I guess. But we've been managing." A sly smile suddenly emerged on her face, Hitomi leaning over to whisper something in Uraraka's ear.
"I bet you wish it had been you and Midoriya sharing instead, huh~?"
Uraraka spluttered, her face turning red as she waved her hands around erratically. She seemed to do that a lot.
"Don't be silly, Hitomi…!"
Hitomi chuckled, right as the limo stopped by the sidewalk. They'd arrived at the town, her classmates opening the car doors to step out. Since the local shopping district was closed to set up for the festival, they'd opted to check the large shopping mall that was a simple 10-minute drive away.
...
Class 1-A stood in its shadow, the large building looming over them with the logo "SM" on the front.
"THIS PLACE IS HUGE!" Uraraka exclaimed.
Hitomi nodded along in agreement. "It's bigger than I remember."
"Everyone! It'll be best if we stick together," Nix called out to the class. "It's a big mall, and you guys can roam around here and there, but try not to stray too far. I'd never hear the end of it from Aizawa if I lost one of you."
The class voiced their agreement, making their way inside.
…
Hitomi had stuck close to Uraraka as the class roamed around, trying to avoid the Bakusquad because there was no way she could face Bakugou after last night without acting flustered.
Well, more flustered than usual...
The class had ended up at the food court, looking around as people milled about.
"We can only have snacks," Iida told the class, despite the fact Nix was already at a stand buying what looked like a whole meal for herself. He let out a sigh at the sight, adjusting his glasses. Hitomi was still disillusioned by the fact their own class rep seemed to act more mature than their chaperone. "Since we'll be heading to the festival, we shouldn't eat too much if we want to see the food there."
Hitomi suddenly gasped, grabbing Uraraka's arm as she frantically pointed at a nearby food kiosk.
"What is it?" The brunette tilted her head, following her gaze. The name of the stand was in English, Uraraka having to take a moment to read it. "Potato… Corner…?"
Hitomi dashed towards the kiosk, leaving Uraraka to stare at the bluenette as she talked with the employee there. She saw them exchange a few words, the employee moving around in his stand before he pulled out a paper bag, handing it to Hitomi as she gave him some bills.
Hitomi walked back to her, an excited smile on her face. "I haven't had these in years!"
"What did you buy?"
Hitomi reached into the paper bag, pulling out a paper cup filled with fries.
Uraraka blinked. "You mean, you haven't had fries in years…?"
Hitomi shook her head, holding the fries towards her. "Just try one!"
Uraraka grabbed one, noticing that they were coated in some sort of powder and what looked to be chives. The moment she put it in her mouth, she was hit with the taste of sour cream and onion.
"Oh!" Uraraka exclaimed, a smile forming on her face at the burst of flavor. "Those… are really good!"
Hitomi smiled back at her, grabbing some of her own to eat. "I haven't had these flavored fries since the last time I came here. I almost forgot how good they were."
The bluenette suddenly felt a vibration in her pocket, pulling her phone out. Hitomi stopped, staring at the contact name before glancing around, confused.
Why is Bakugou calling me?
"I have no idea where we are."
Sero sighed while Kaminari fell to the ground, Bakugou scowling as Kirishima gave him a sheepish smile. The ash blonde turned around to glare at Mina, who was fiddling with her hands.
"This is all your fault, Raccoon Eyes!"
Mina pouted. "Hey! It was such a cute dress, you can't blame me for wanting to admire it a little!"
"Well, if you hadn't made us wait for you, maybe we wouldn't have gotten left behind!" Bakugou growled.
"Guys, settle down," Kirishima said, trying to stop them from making a scene. They were lost, lost in another country, lost in a place where they couldn't speak the native language, and Kirishima really didn't want to deal with people judging them either. "Why don't we just ask the security guards where the rest of the class is? They're supposed to be watching us, after all."
Kaminari shot up from the floor, grabbing the redhead by the shoulders. "Kirishima, have you seen those guys?" He pointed over his shoulder at one of the nearby personnel guarding them, a fearful look on the blonde's face. "They look like they could kill you with one glare! It's too scary, dude!"
Kirishima pulled his phone out as Kaminari let go of him, sighing in exasperation. All he wanted was to just get back to the class. "Okay… then I'll just call Hitomi, and this mess'll be over soon, how about that?" He stopped, trying to turn his phone on. "Shoot, I think my phone's dead. Bakugou, can I borrow yours?"
The ash blonde grunted, before reaching into his pocket and pulling his phone out. Kirishima eagerly snatched it, dialing his friend's number.
He listened as the dial tone rang, losing hope with each consecutive ring before the phone clicked.
"...Hello?"
Kirishima breathed a sigh of relief. "Hitomi, thank god! We're lost! I don't know where we are, and I can barely read the directory… Do you think you can come get us?"
Kirishima swore he heard Hitomi softly whisper "fuck" for a second, but he dismissed the thought, assuming he was just hearing things.
"Hold on, Kirishima. I'm gonna go look for a directory. Do you think you can read the storefronts you're near for me?"
"Sure. Um…" Kirishima glanced at the stores, taking a moment to read their names. "We're near… Bench, and… National Bookstore, I think."
"Okay, stay right there. I'm coming."
"You're a lifesaver, Hitomi!"
"Yeah, yeah. Don't say that until after I come find you guys."
A/N: old 2020 art lololol
I wrote this chapter in 2019, which was about 2 years after my last family trip to the Philippines, so I snuck in some stuff about the SM malls that I could remember at the time. I really loved Potato Corner's fries, they were so good T-T
