Chapter 7
It was Thursday morning when I woke up and pressed my cellphone so it could tell me the hour, I was wondering why my alarm haven't gone off
"Currently it's 10:30 am" what?! I had slept over my alarm fuck, and why haven't Dad woken me up
"DAAAAAAAD!" I yelled but of course I received no answer, so I hurriedly changed clothes, grabbed a onigiri and ran to school, I know I will lose the first classes, but I could still make it to the others
When I reached the school gate there was Miss Midnight waiting
"you decided to join us, good Jirou-san, since this is your first time being late I will let you go with only detention for today, I will see you after class in class A room" why does it makes me shiver the way she said that?, I bowed to her not risking to say anything to make things worse for me, grabbed my detention and continued my way to my classroom
"Welcome Youngster Jirou-san please reach your seat today we are learning about rescues heroes and how they are essential for all people alike" All Might said
I went up to my desk and listened to All Might tell us about these heroes that used their quirks to save either Heroes or no heroes from natural disasters for example, after class ended Momo started speaking to me
"is everything all right? You are never late" I mean she is correct but I do oversleep now and then and after what happened last night, I felt the chills all over my skin and I could swear I could feel someone's breathing on my neck
"Yes, sorry I just overslept but where is Mr. Aizawa?" her face told me she didn't believe me, but she didn't press the point
"I don't know, All Might said that he had some hero work to do and that he would be back tomorrow for our next training" I wonder what was he doing but right now I just wished he was here more if there was someone really spying on us
"I know this is a little sudden, but would you like to have a slumber party at my house?" Momo asked me and just the thought of being alone at night with Yamomo made me blush but at the same I didn't want to be alone not after what happened
"yes please, I would love to" fiuf at least now I didn't have to worry at least for today but then Dad would be home
"great then we will all meet at the gate after classes" we? Momo saw my confusion and said
"I invited all the girls to the slumber party; it wouldn't be a party with only the 2 of us" ah… that's right
"oh, that reminds me… I kind of have detention today after classes with Midnight so could you wait for me? or do you want me to get to your house?"
"I guess we can wait for you and while you are on detention we could go for snacks for later, do you want anything?"
"mmm could I ask for Doritos please? I will pay you when we meet"
"Ok, a bag of Doritos for Kyoka it is, consider it done" she told me while smiling I like the fact that she smiles a lot, it just reflects that she is a happy girl
When the day ended, I remained sit on my desk and waited for Midnight to come
"Good afternoon miss Jiro please put on your training suit so we can start the detention" Midnight said while standing on the classroom door
"What? Aren´t we supposed to have detention here?" I asked her
"well some teachers do have detention over the class and make students do repetitions of what are they not supposed to do but I prefer a rather physical reminder of why you shouldn't be late so please change and start with 200 push ups" she simply said
"200?! "was all I could say
"yes, and after you are finished go to the track for 25 laps"
"that's going to take forever!" I said
"well I suggest you start if you want to get home today" oh boy this is going to be hell not only because even if I have great stamina thanks to Dad's training but no one wants to do that much exercise after hours of learning, writing and getting mentally exhausted but I didn't dare to say more and went to change as fast as possible I didn't want the girls to wait for me that long so the faster the better
*time skip*
Everything in my body hurt, every single muscle was screaming because my detention consisted in not only the 200 push ups and the 25 laps to the whole training ground oh no I had to do 400 sit ups and 3 repetitions of each I was sweating like a pig
I have never done this amount of exercise, I was trying to catch my breath
"I hope this is a lesson for you, and you are never late again miss Jiro, school is one of the most important stages or our lives as heroes so please learn to cherish it so now please go clean yourself and go home I will see you tomorrow" Midnight said before going away
I quickly grabbed my phone and pressed a button so it could hear the command
"Call Yaomomo" I said
It ringed a few times before she answered
"hello?"
"oh hey Yaomomo I'm sorry it took so long I am guessing all of you went to your home already, so I will see you there I will just take a quick shower and I will join you ok?" I said
"Jiro sweetie, I sent the girls on the way to my home, I'm still waiting for you don't worry take your shower and meet me at the entrance gate, there you can tell me all about what they had you do on detention" She is so sweet, I couldn't stop the fluttering sensation I got so I quickly went to take a shower
After showering I went to the school gate where Momo was waiting for me
"thanks for waiting for me Yaomomo it was really nice of you to do so"
"it was my pleasure Jiro, so let's go" she then grabbed my hand and started leading the way, I blushed at that but loved the moment, after walking a little we start talking about Midnight detention and how my body was extremely exhausted
"I will make sure I don't get up late ever, if that was just 1 day imagine what she must do to people that get late all the time" I shivered
"let's… not think about that" after that we were pretty silent till we reach Momo's house where we meet the girls at the entrance, results they were too nervous to enter the house since the owner aka Momo was not with them but thankfully they hadn't been waiting that long
Momo led us through the house to her room where there were sleeping bags ready for everyone not that it surprised me or anything, I mean Momo's family was loaded
"Please leave your bags wherever you want to sleep and let's move to the living room so we can start with some games or maybe a movie?" Momo told us and I did exactly that I saw the nearest sleeping bag and dropped my bag
"I would really appreciate a movie; Midnight did her best to tire me so I'm not sure a game would be the best for me right now" I simply said
"How about a game where you don't move a lot like truth or dare or spin the bottle?" Minna said, does this girl loves truth or dare or why does she always bring it up
"how about we watch a movie and then we play truth or dare Kero?" Tsuyu said and everyone agreed, I didn't want to agree with the truth or dare but everyone had said yes so what was I supposed to do?
We end up watching big hero 6, they turned the volume up with the descriptive audio so I could enjoy the movie better and it was a really sweet movie I was really moved by it, by Tadashi dying since I know how a family member dying feels, I could feel Hiro's story as my own, I even felt like Baymax was dad it all fit really well and it made me connect with the story more and get a little emotional, so yes I was crying my eyes out while listening to the movie but at the same time Momo and Ochaco reached to me and grabbed my hands to reassure me everything was ok, I smiled at them and nodded
When the movie ended, we turned the lights on, we brought our snacks and started the truth or dare game and I must be honest I'm scared and have a bad feeling about this
"I will start" Minna said, and I again was not surprised "Momo, truth or dare?"
"Dare" Momo said
"I dare you to call Todoroki and invite him on a date" Minna said while laughing, why does it hurt when I think about Momo with someone else? (because you like her like more than a friend) I answered myself
Momo sighed "ok" was the only thing she said before dialing Todoroki and putting the speaker on so we could all hear
"hello? Momo?" Todoroki said
"Hi Todoroki, sorry to bother you but I was wondering if you would like to go to a cafe sometime"
"oh Momo you know I will always say yes to you, how does tomorrow after school sound, there you can tell me all about…" Momo hung up suddenly and proceed and send him a message that we couldn't see to confirm her date, I was raging inside are they a couple already?, they did sound pretty familiar with each other, it made my blood boil, I tried to no let it show and it wasn't that hard since all the girls were asking Momo if they were a couple already, and to why were they so comfortable talking together if they were not
"ok ok I did my part so next mmm Tsuyu-san Truth or dare" Momo said trying to change the subject
"Truth, Kero" I could hear the "no fun" from Minna but it didn't really mater
"Who do you think has the best quirk of the class?" Momo asked
"I believe everyone in the class has their way to become a hero but if I had to choose from everyone I would say Todoroki-san" and here we go again with Todoroki, everyone love him because he is "handsome", he has a strong quirk, he is a gentleman, it made me so angry…
So angry that I couldn't be the one Momo wants, and suddenly I felt sad, I stopped paying attention to the game until
"Jiro?" Tooru asked
"Dare" I was not thinking when I said that and now, I was regretting it what if they made me call one of the guys of the class, or Dad
"I dare you to sit next to the girl you believe to be the cutest of the class" I was certainly not expecting that, I started blushing and took a glance at Momo she seemed to be rather intrigued with the answer
Here I had two options I could be honest and sit next to Momo and wait for her to break my heart or I could lie and sit next to any of the other girls, but that wouldn't change the fact that my heart was going to break anyway so I sighed, stood up, walked a little and sat next to…
"Momo?" I was blushing like mad, but I thought that it wouldn't change anything so why lie
"I'm flattered thanks Jiro" she said smiling
I didn't dare to say anything and started playing with my ears, Momo got close to me and whispered
"if it makes you feel better I also think you are the cutest girl of the class" she winked at me and I blushed harder, I felt so lightheaded that I thought I would pass out but thankfully that didn't happen
After a few more rounds we went to sleep, and that night I had a weird dream the class was on a dome or something like that there was a teacher Infront of us speaking letting us know that we were supposed to rescue some of our classmates as a new exercise but my dream suddenly changed there were many shadows on the dome, way too many, Dad was fighting them but at some point they started punching him, hurting him, until a shadow extended his hand to my dad's head and I felt like I would lose him if it reached him I don't know why but I knew
"DAD!" I scream at top of my lungs
"Jirou are you alright?" it was Momo that brought me back from dream land I felt like crying so I shook my head and launched to hug her, I'm thankful she didn't pull back and she even lend me to her bed
"Its ok sweetie come here, it was just a dream everything will be alright" she kissed my temple and drew circles on my back till I felt asleep
I knew the other girls were there too trying to comfort me but at that moment I could only see, feel, and believe Momo
