Momo's POV
I still couldn't believe that my mom had accepted me, and more importantly that she wanted to confront my dad to end the arranged marriage, I was so happy everything was going how i wanted it finally, i had a beautiful girlfriend, a wonderful mom, friends by my side and i was working my way to become a hero
I was humming happily while making my bed when my dad called at my door
"Momo honey, your mother says you have something to tell me, but she said that we need to talk in the living room so i came here to retriver you" It was weird for my dad to come to my room he would usually send a maid to get me, so I nodded my head and followed him
"So, what is it darling? Your mom would only tell me how it was really important that you in person told me about it." I was at a loss of words for a second, I did want to tell him but would he react the same way as my mom?
"I… Father, the thing is… " i was growing more and more anxious
"Momo doesn't want to marry the Todoroki's kid because she doesn't love him" My mom intervene to save me
"What? but you always seem to get along great, and seemed to be in love" my father was genuinely confused
"I'm sorry, we made it look that way for your sake but we are only friends, he is a nice guy and has a renowned family but my heart beats for another person" I was looking at my shoes while saying that
"Momo my love, you should have said something sooner, I'm sorry i had made you pass through that, the position of the family of the person you love doesn't matter to me, I only want my beautiful girl to be the happiest she can be, now tell me all about the boy that stole your heart" my heart skipped a beat at that and i glupped, i had to do this, for myself
"That's the thing dad… it's not a boy" I said blushing and expecting the worst to come
"What do you mean it's not a…. oh…. OH" My tears started to flow i knew i had disappointed him, he got closer to me, i got scared when he lifted his hand fearing he would hit me, not that he ever had but i didn't know what to expect, but he pet my head before hugging me
"my beautiful flower, thank you for trusting me with your real feelings, I feel honored to have you as my daughter never doubt that, I will call Endeavor right away to call this nonsense wedding off, but you will have to invite your girl over sometime so i can meet her and see if she is treating my baby right ok? Besides, who doesn't want to be the only man in their daughter's life?" my dad started laughing and my mom and I followed, i couldn't wait to tell Kyoka the news I was beaming, this day was perfect
Ochaco POV
This day couldn't be worse, first i had woke up at 3am and couldn't go back to sleep, then I had to take care of the house since my parents were on their 2nd jobs, then there was no food on the fridge again, *sigh* i guess today was one of those days where we didn't eat, I was used to it now if i'm honest, my family hasn't had the best years, we had a construction company and everything was great when I was a toddler but then, my parents started having less and less work till the point where they thought about closing the company, but in the end they decided to still try it but work other jobs too, my dad was a manager in a restaurant and my mother a cashier in a supermarket it was time consuming but the worst was that the company would need most if not all the money they were making, I believe they were thinking about selling it but I see how much they love it, that's why I want to become a hero to help them with the expenses of the company and never let them starve again
I didn't had anything planned for the day apart of cleaning the house so after doing it i started playing on my phone, when I started attending the UA i had a crush on Jirou I couldn't deny it but after getting to know her more, and obviously see that she wasn't into me I started digging into my feelings since it was so easy to give up on them and let Yaoyarozu-san go for Jirou so while i was on my internship beside getting to know how to close fight i discover that i never really liked Jirou like that I just had admired her and the fact that she had saved me, I was about to go for a walk to distract me from the fact that I was hungry when my phone got a notification
"Hey if you are not too busy, would you like to go have lunch with me and the girls? *kero*" I have always find cute that even over text Tsu-chan would always put the kero part since it was a little cute noise she did while talking, Tsuyu has always been nice to me ever since we meet and i did wanted to go with the girls but i was literally broke
"I'm sorry Tsu-chan, I'm a little short of money right now, maybe the next time" i texted back and was about to save my phone on my pocket when it ringed
"Hello?" I answered
"Is everything ok? *kero*" Tsuyu asked me
"Yes Tsu-chan, why do you ask?"
"Well if money is the problem on to why you are not going let me invite you *kero*" awww she was too nice
"oh no i could do that to you, don't worry about me i will go next one i swear" and just then my stomach growled so hard that i feared she had heard it
"that's it, you are going and that's final i will pick you up in an hour" wow she even didn't *kero* this time she was mad
"ok" was all i said before hanging up and going to take a shower and to send a message to my parents that i would leave for the afternoon to meet my friends
Exactly 1 hour later there was a knock on my door so I went to answer it
"Are you ready *kero*?" Tsu-chan was smiling, she was wearing her hair down and was wearing a white t-shirt, jeans and black converse, she looked beautiful and I couldn't help but blush that i had thought that, i was wearing a simple pink t-shirt, jeans and sneakers
"yes I am, thanks Tsu-chan you don't have to do this, you know?" I said looking at my feet ashamed that she would be paying for me
"Hey don't look so down, everyone needs help now and then, and I'm glad I got to help my friend, have you eaten at all today?*kero*" she seemed so worried, i have told her what was really happening with my family when we were on a sleepover and the other girls had gone to sleep, i looked at her and shook my head ashamed, she smile at me and hugged me
"Let's go so you can eat something, and don't worry about it, eat all you need *kero*" i could feel tears on my eyes, and she then caress my cheek with her hand
"everything is going to be alright we will get through this together ok? you can count on me and i'm sure you can count on everyone in the class, even Bakugo *kero*" I know she was right but i was so used to doing things alone that even if i tried to appear as a happy and positive person all the time i had my dark days, I nodded my head and we went our way to the mall to eat with the girls, when we got there Jirou and Yaoyarozu were already there they were talking and seemed really happy, I was glad they could resolve the things between them that happen on the festival
"hi girls" I said with a smile
"hi" they responded we waited for about 10 minutes for Tooru and Mina to get there but once we entered we were assigned to a table, Jirou sat next to Momo who was also next to Toouru and on the other side Mina sat in front of Tooru, i sat in front of Momo and Tsu sat in front of Jirou
"How was everyone's internship?" Mina asked us while we waited to order our food, I ended up ordering curry katsudon and a peach juice
"Mine was fine i learned how to defend myself with martial arts which i'm sure will help me in the future to become a better hero" I smiled remembering my time with my tutor
"I didn't do anything, I was just at the hero agency all the time doing paperwork which i must tell you sucked" Tooru said
"I was… well in all the internship i didn't learn anything about hero work to be honest with you I just filmed commercials with Uwamabi-san, but she was really nice" Momo said
"My tutors and I stopped a mafia network from stealing a ship but that was about it *kero*" wow so Tsuyu-chan got actual experience that's really nice
"WOW! i'm so jealous, you got to do hero work i got the same as Tooru, just paperwork" Mina said
"and for myself I got to know my quirk better thanks to my tutor" Jirou said
"Were you involved in the Hosu incident? I ask because you sent your location i was on the other side of the country so I couldn't do anything sorry" Minna asked
"I was indeed, my tutor and I were traveling to fight crime on another region but a nomu crashed the train we were in and we had to intervene, i'm sorry I bother you with it but at the moment Iida-san and I were in danger and I hoped someone could send help, in the end we got saved by Todoroki-san" Jirou explained
"yes I got notice from Todoroki-san later that night after I asked if everyone was ok, that they were involved in a fight and were in the hospital" Momo-said
"oh your opponent must have been hard if he got to injure you 3" Tooru said
"hahaha yes Nomus can be ruthless hahaha" Jirou said and I saw Momo give her a look but didn't say anything more
after we finished eating Mina said
"let's continue this over my house and have a sleepover pleaaaaase we haven't seen each other in so long! and this time you can't say no Jirou-san" Jirou rolled her eyes but said she would have to text her dad, we all texted our parents mine agreed right away since it would mean i got to eat and not be alone at home
when it was time to pay Tsuyu paid for both and Momo looked at me but didn't say anything i just stared at my hands while everyone paid, we made our way to Mina's house not before passing a convenience store to buy snacks for the night, i was awkwardly standing at the entrance of the store waiting for the girls to choose when Momo got closer to me
"Are you not going to grab anything Uraraka-san?" she asked me
"ah well you see, i didn't bring any money with me and well… yes" Momo smiled at me
"don't worry about that sweetheart i will pay it, and don't bother saying no, just grab whatever you want" I smiled all the girls were so nice they knew they didn't have to do this but here they were helping me, I grabbed a bag of chips and sprite
"Is that all you want, Uraraka-san?" Momo asked me, and i nodded ashamed
"mk… let's just add some gummies i know you like since i have seen you eat them on sleepovers, strawberry milk, and donuts"
"you don't have to do this…" I started
"I know but I want to, don't worry about it ok?" she said looking me in the eyes and all i could do is be grateful for my friends
when we reached Mina's house I was not surprised we had just settle in before Mina went with her tradition truth or dare where Tooru started
"Tsuyu-san truth or dare?"
"truth *kero*" Tsuyu simply said
"Tell us something about your crush" Tooru said
"Well they have brown hair, and are really nice and have the sweetest smile you can see" she was blushing at this and i saw her look at me for a second, I blushed thinking that i had brown hair and was hopeful she was actually talking about me
It was Tsuyu-chan's turn she looked at everyone before stopping at Momo
"Yaoyarozu-san truth or dare?" she asked
"Dare" Momo said smiling
"I dare you to tell us the name of your crush if they are not here but if they are I dare you to kiss them" Momo blushed but quickly recovered
"well that's easy" I knew her crush was Jirou and since she was there well, this might get interesting but why would it be easy?
Momo got up and got close to Kyoka, she then carefully removed a lock of hair that was over her left eye, she got closer and closer till they were kissing, and let me tell you it was not a peck it was a deep kiss that seemed to never end but it did when they needed to breath
"well that was more that i expected *kero*" Tsuyu-chan admitted, Momo just giggled and said
"May I present to you my girlfriend?" Momo giggled agian
"YES! MY SHIP IS SAILING" I had no idea what Mina meant with that but it was better to not argue with her
we were all surprised and everyone started congratulating them and asking when had it started, they said that Momo had visited Jirou on the hospital after the Hosu incident and that when they finally admitted they liked each other, I was so happy for them
That moment broke the magic of the truth and dare so we went on to watch a movie in which Momo of course went to sit with her girlfriend, and I got one of the big puffs so i could lay down, Tsuyu-chan came to me and asked if she could sit with me and I just nodded
We were watching batman with the descriptive audio for Jirou, we were halfway through the movie when Tsuyu-chan whispered me
"how are you feeling? *kero*" eh? what did she mean?
"I'm great, why do you ask?" she looked at me like she wasn't believing me
"I know you liked Jirou, so that's why i want to know if you are doing ok with them dating*kero*" she said
"oh, well i'm really ok with everything when i was over the internship i took the time to understand my feelings better and knew what i feel for her was not a romantic feeling it was just an admiring one, and got to know who I really liked it wasn't hard to be honest with you since they are really amazing" I said blushing while thinking about the girl in front of me that always made sure i was happy
"i'm glad to hear that, i just want you to be happy too Ochako-chan with someone that loves you the same way you love them *kero*" so precious…. before i knew what i was doing i lean closer to her before giving her a peck on the lips
"ah.. ah… I'm so sorry I didn't mean to but you see I.." Tsuyu-chan just smiled at me grabbed my cheeks and kissed me and I just started kissing back, I don't know how much time had passed but then we heard
"oh my poor heart can't deal with all this love, 2 ships in 1 day i'm so proud" Mina said wiping a fake tear from her eye
"Joke aside girls, I'm really happy for you all. I wish you the best and if anyone tries to give you a hard time I'm here for you ok? and to melt them" she said and we all went to hug her
yes… everything was going to be alright after all i have the best friends I can have
