Momo's POV:
It was 2am when my alarm woke me up, Kyo was resting on my chest breathing softly, I couldn't help but smile at her, she looked so peaceful, sadly It was monday which means we had school to attend
"Kyo baby, it's time to wake up" I whispered
"5 more minutes Mo" she answered me
"I would but I don't think either Midnight nor All might would appreciate that, they made it clear that even with what happened they wanted us to train today" I said because the day before after everyone has left, and after we started falling asleep 2 things happened
The first one being that Recovery girl came with Aizawa-sensei to take care of Jirou's injuries, and the second thing was that we received a phone call from our teachers telling us how glad they were we were ok but that they would see us at the same hr to help us grow stronger
"ugh you are right" Jirou said grumply getting up
"I will go get my clothes and everything, I will see you on the field baby" she told me and gave me a quick peck on the lips before going away
When Kyo left I started getting ready as well but couldn't help when my mind drifted to everyone in the class, what had happened had demonstrated that we all are tense, that we didn't trust each other and were ready to jump into action even without proof and I say it not only for me, I believe we would have done it to anyone, I don't condemn the actions of my classmates because I probably would have reacted the same way.
I sighed, we need to find the true identity of the mole if not we would be at each other's throat for a while, and with the explosive characters of some of the class well, that was not going to end well
I then made my way to the field, at this hour there was no one, and who would blame them it's 3:10 am they were all sleeping, the cold air was hitting my face I was starting to love it, when I reached Midnight she told me that All Might and Jirou would be training at the gym so we had the field to ourselves
"Today's training will be a little different, don't get me wrong I want you to still run 10 laps as warm up but, what we will train today is your quick thinking, in the time you have been training with me and the time you have been on the school I have noticed that you don't trust your quirk, or your brain and that's the main reason why you are "weak", so today you will be fighting me, at my 100%, no weights, no nothing, and trust me I won't take pity on you for being a kid" Midnight told me and I got nervous, but she just smiled at me and said
"Everything will be alright if you just take a breath and do what you think is best, now start running, as soon as you cross the finish line of the 10th lap, the fight start"
I started running, I knew in the meanwhile I could think of a strategy to defeat Midnight but that was not what we were supposed to train so I stopped myself of thinking anything related of Midnight, instead I started making a list of those who I believe I could trust and those who I found suspicious of the class, for starters I believe I could trust in:
Kyo (First off all this was my girlfriend and I trusted her with all my heart, also with the power she holds she wouldn't have to hide, and wouldn't have to be so injured in all those fights, also if the villains knew the secret she hold, they wouldn't need All Might anymore)
Bakugo (his temper made it impossible for him to not rant his plan, beside if he was the mole the kidnapping wouldn't make sense, he would have just gone with them, unless they would want us to believe that, but it would be too obvious so I believe that was a distractions as was planting information in my room and taking my place)
Mina (Again it was all too convenient that we receive the letter when she was going to her room, it's as if the mole was desperate to make us believe it's everyone but them, and also Mina has the concentration of a golden fish, and is a good friend)
Shouto ( He was just not the type to do it, I know he despises his dad who is a pro hero but that was just about it, and besides he had PLENTY of opportunities to become a villain before, why start now?)
Midoriya (To be honest I don't know why I trusted him, but my heart told me that Shouto fell in love with him for a reason, I know he could be faking all that sweetness but like he said yesterday I choose to trust my friend)
Kirishima (his personality just told me that it was not him since it wouldn't be manly enough to go behind your friends, beside i'm pretty sure he is scared of his Bf so no, not him)
One by one i started discarting my classmates, Kaminari no, Tsuyu no, Ochaco no, Aoyama no till I was left with a list of 5 people
Tooru (her invisibility quirk made sense if you wanted to plant evidence)
Mineta (I just despise the guy)
Ojiro ( he was quick and silent like a ninja)
Kouda ( he could always send his animals to do the work and appear to be with everyone)
Tokoyami (he knew how to hide well in the shadows, and even better he had a shadow of his own)
It really made sense that it could be one of them after all they have always been with the group, they were really secretive well Tooru not that much with Mina but at our sleepovers she could gather valuable information, I would have to pay close attention to them
Just as I was finishing my list I didn't noticed I had cross the finish line for the 10th time meaning my training would start, Midnight was nowhere to be seen but she wasted no time, as soon as I could turn I saw a pinkish gas coming full force at me, I quickly made a gas mask to not breath it and started looking for my teacher
"Not bad Momo, but can you find me before I knock you out?" Midnight said from somewhere on my left and before I could say anything a whip tore the mask from my face
"dang it" I quickly created a new one and held my breath till I had it over my face again I then went to my left only to have the whip take my mask again, I created a new one but knew it would be ripped from me in a few seconds, I had to think of another way, I was still looking for Midnight having to create mask after mask after mask just to have her take it away, I knew I was close to my limit so I had to find her and fast, but how could I do that?
"oh" I said before creating something that had helped me before like I said before it was too early and everyone was still sleeping, beside Kyo and All Might were on the Gym so when Midnight tore another mask from me I held my breath and used my heat tracking device to locate her, still holding my breath I kept running to her avoiding the whip she was using to try and take my tracker with, my chest was screaming for me to breath it was starting to feel as if my chest was on fire but I couldn't give up, so I ran as fast as I could to reach Midnight and with a quick swing of my staff hit her straight in the head, I couldn't held my breath any longer then and as soon as I breath the pink fog I started feeling lightheaded just as I was falling I heard Midnight said
"Well done young hero"
I woke up at the infirmary, Midnight was next to me smiling and giving me thumbs up
"You did it Momo you won, I told you just had to trust more" she said but how could I have won if I blacked out?
"But you knocked me out, meaning you won right?" I asked and Midnight smiled
"I didn't knock you out, you got to me and hit me making me stop my quirk, you blacked out rather by the lack of air, than my quirk, I know you will say you saw the pink gas but if i'm not still letting it out it doesn't have any effect so you won" I was surprised not only did I won but Midnight had told me her weakness, well that added her to the list of teachers I trusted, why tell your enemy how to defeat you if you were trying to destroy them?
I then thanked Midnight for the class and went to take a shower I was expecting to see Kyo in either the infirmary or the showers but she wasn't there, When I got to class Iida-san was there reading a book
"What are you reading Iida-san?" I asked
"oh just some hero story, how it all started, it's rather amusing don't you think?" He asked me and I nodded it was indeed all these quirks were results of evolution, at first only bunch of people had them and the people who didn't had quirks treated them like gods but then more and more people started getting them so it became normal, and like normal societies criminals stood up, to be detained by what we call now heroes
"I see, I agree it is interesting indeed, how everything can change in just a second right?" I said and he nodded, just then Kyo entered the room smiling brightly
"I take that your training went well right love?" I asked her and she nodded but made me a signal that she would tell me later, so I knew it was about One for all so I just smiled
The rest of my classmates got to class one by one, I was expecting them to get here at least in groups since well, we live together now, but I guess they all have their doubts on everyone
"Oi, Ponytail I wanted to say sorry for blowing you yesterday, it's just it all seem to point that well you know" Bakugo said to me and I nodded to him
"It's ok Bakugo I understand what you were thinking and if I had been in your place I would probably had done the same, so no worries" I answered and he seemed to relax a little
I knew I couldn't find the traitor alone, and even trying to do so would drive me crazy so I did what Midnight told me and trusted my brain and heart and I created 3 notes and took the opportunities to stealthy deliver them to Mina, Bakugo and Shouto, when they read it they nodded and we patiently waited for our class
"Good morning everyone I hope you had a pleasant night of sleep, today we will have you all pass 1 by 1 to the infirmary to take 1 drop of your blood please this is for the new security system so nothing like yesterday happens again, we know one of our enemy's quirk now so to ensure everyone is who they say they are the system can only be accessed by your blood, after taking the quick sample each time you will be able to enter the dorms, and the classrooms, that way we can protect you better, so please let's make a line by height, and wait for me just outside the classroom" Aizawa-sensei said, and I knew this was more than just for our safety like myself they wanted to find the mole and wouldn't it be easy if they knew where we were at anytime, to be honest I thought something like a gps would be better but maybe they thought that would be too obvious and intrusive making the traitor run away instead of letting them capture them
After taking our sample taken by recovery girl she thanked us and we were led to the classroom again
"thank you all for your cooperation to keep you safe, now before starting I have a few announcements to make, the first one being that thanks to all that had happened in this year we thought it's in the best interest that everyone of you take part of the hero licencing exam, so that way you are capacitated to defend yourself if a villain attacks you with no tutor around, that way you won't have consequences of fighting back, and the second announcement is everyone will be divided in groups of 5 and you will protect each other if anything were to happen, you will eat together, sleep together, do everything together until the day of the exam and I will assemble the team" Aizawa-san said and I wondered what was that about
"Let's start with Iida, Bakugo, Kirishima, Mineta and Aoyama, you will be team blue, next we will have Ojiro, Tsuyu, Ochaco, Sero and Satou, you will be team green, for team yellow we will have Kaminari, Kouda, Tokoyami, Shouto and Midoriya and finally for team red we will have Jirou, Momo, Tooru, Mina and Shouji, like I said you will do everything together so please move to sit with your team, blue team will be on the back left, green front left, yellow back right and red front right" that meant I didn't had to move along with Jirou since we were already seated on the right front, so we waited for Tooru, Mina and Shouji to come sit with us
"Hi girls! it's nice to be with other girls in this" Tooru told us and I agreed I for once was glad the perv got paired with only boys, that way he wouldn't do anything
"ok now I will assign a captain for every group, for team blue it will be Bakugo, for team green Tsuyu, for team yellow Shouto and for team red Momo, please stay behind in the classroom at lunch for a few minutes I will tell you your responsibilities as captains" we nodded and the class started as normal, we were learning about how to create the best escape routes if we were confronted by villains and had civilians to protect
Class went pretty fast with everyone giving inputs as to what they would do and others debating why that was either the best option or a worse option than staying where they were, so when the bell rang, Bakugo, Shouto, Tsuyu and I stayed behind after agreeing with our team in which part of the cafeteria they would be waiting for us, when everyone left Aizawa-sensei went outside the classroom to check that no one was close and then closed the door
"Ok guys I gathered you here because the school and I believe you are all trustworthy and are not part of any elaborated plan made by the villains, the school thought it would be best to have all the classes divided in teams and place a captain that we trust in each one to watch your classmates for any suspicious activities, if you do find anything suspicious by small that it appears please come straight to me with your observations, in each group you will have to figure out who do you trust, there are others the school also trust and I could give you the list but I believe that might skew your impartiality against your classmates, so I trust your judgment here" He said and well it all made sense the school was not oblivious to the fact that the probability of having a traitor among us was high, that made me relieved that our school was doing everything in their power to get rid of this as soon as possible so things could go back to normal
After agreeing in watching our classmates I went to the cafeteria and looked for my class where we had agreed to eat, it was not hard finding them, and I quickly went to grab my food before sitting next to everyone
"Did Aizawa-sensei give you a lot of chores Momo?" Tooru asked me and a shock my head
"nah, just the normal stuff" of course I wouldn't tell a soul what we were told on the classroom, not even Kyo
"So what do you guys want to do after school?" Mina asked us
"Well after class I always go to the gym and I wouldn't like to stop my regimen" Shouji said
"I usually train so I believe going to the gym would be nice" Kyo said and I nodded
"Then it's settled we will go to the gym after class" I couldn't help but laugh when Mina and Tooru whined about having to do exercise after school but we all agreed that after having our training we would go to the living room and play some board games to pass the time till it was time to sleep, we were assigned the living room along with Shouto's team to sleep, and silently Shotou and I made a plan to take watches over our sleeping classmates so no one would take the opportunity to leave our sight, to for it to not be suspicious we would appeared to be asleep while sitting down and I planned my excuse if someone asked me why was I not sleeping on the floor or next to my girlfriend
When everyone was asleep, Shouto, Bakugo, Mina and I gathered on the far end of the room, Bakugo told us he left Kirishima in charge since he trusted him and we didn't had to worry for our groups since the were literally next to us, we then made our voice as quiet as we could
"thank you for coming boys, as we all know there is a traitor among us and I choose to trust in you 3, that being said, I need your help into deducing who the mole is, we have to promise here that even if we discover who the traitor is we won't face them alone, we would signal the others and send word to Aizawa-sensei before doing anything, if we make a wrong move the traitor could escape, and we don't want that ok?" the guys nodded
"you can count on us Momo" Shouto said, before we all said our goodbyes, I was taking the first turn in watching everyone, but nothing happened till 3am when I switched with Shouto, I had to train anyway which mean I was not sleeping that day, I knew it wouldn't be long before I can't keep up but I made the plan to do other watches with Mina, Kyo, Midoriya and Shouto, that way we all would be able to rest, to be alert if needed
My training that day consisted in pure stamina training meaning I was dying after so much running, crouching, etc, more with the lack of sleep but I was not going to let that stop me, not today not ever, I went to take a shower and this time Kyo got there at the same time
"Finally you can tell me how it has been going with All Might?" I asked her and she smiled
"I have been able to master it a little more, I'm stronger, faster not to mention the six pack i'm getting hahahaha" she said and I couldn't help but look down at her abs, they were indeed well toned and wow I was amazed to say the last
"Ehem, your training seem to have done lots of goods for your muscles" I said blushing and turning around
"Come here" Jirou said and I got close to her, she then step in her tiptoes to kiss me, I loved our height difference, to some it would be too much but I thought that Kyo was the perfect height, well she was almost perfect in general, (yes yes I know i'm done)
We were kissing (ahem ahem making out ahem), minding our own business when the door slamming took us from our fantasy world I quickly put Kyo behind me as if she was not the one that would defend me, and went to see what has been that noise
"I hear no heartbeat, I can't hear anyone in general" she told me, mmmm strange
"w-was it a ghost?" I kissed Kyo's forehead, she can be very brave for many things but say anything about ghosts and we lose her
"No baby, ghost doesn't exist remember?" I told her and she nodded. I was looking around the dressing room for a clue about what had happened and I did find a letter, what is it about these people and letters, don't they know cellphones? ugh
"What does it say Mo?" Kyo was next to me in a flash and I read the letter
"All this work for 1 person, isn't it a bit too much, I know all your plans, you all don't hide it that well, and are rather obvious, if you really want to know who am I, meet me at the school woods the area between the school building and the dormitories, just the two of you, I know your girlfriend will be able to find me, if you tell anyone I will kill one of your friends, and believe me when I tell you I will know if you tell a soul" and well we were fucked.
