Hello everyone!
Double update month indeed and right before I reach the craziest part of the month before the kids go back to school. Next month will have some downtime eventually so I'm hoping to be able to get writing again decently. Hope you're having a great August and enjoy the update.
Lots of love,

Finally Belonging Somewhere – Part 128:
Aurora was in her room getting ready when there was a knock on the door and the girl turned in her chair to see who it was.
"Meredith!" Aurora said as she looked at her aunt before running over to her and wrapped her arms around her.
"I wanted to come earlier but I couldn't," the witch explained. "I was invited, by Jen, late yesterday but couldn't come as I was busy at the Ministry," she said, wrapping her arms around her niece and kissed her head. "Now what are you wearing tonight?" she asked and the girl went to show her aunt the dress that she was wearing and Meredith nodded. "I think you need to have some curls in your hair. Would you like that?""
"Yes please," Aurora said as she looked at her aunt before returning to her chair and Meredith went over to her.
"Now we shall do this using my wand because, when you're as good as me, you will be able to do this yourself. Then afterwards we shall put a little make up on you as well," she said and Aurora smiled and nodded softly.
Meredith smiled and worked on Aurora's hair and smiled as her niece wrote in the book that had become her diary. Meredith thought that it was good for Aurora to write things down as and when she wanted to. She finished Aurora's hair and found the perfect headband for her niece to wear.
"Now onto your make up," Meredith said. "Now you need to be still," she said and Aurora nodded as she found her chair being turned and she sat as still as she possibly could for Meredith. The last thing she wanted was her make up smugging and having to sit there for longer because of her moving around.
After what felt like hours, Meredith pulled back from Aurora's face and she smiled.
"There, all done now," she said with a satisfied smile on her face and and looked at her niece with a smile. Aurora smiled back and looked at herself in the mirror and then looked at the time.
"We still have a little while before dinner," she said, "you should go and tell Draco that you are here," she said as she looked at her aunt and Meredith nodded before leaving to see her nephew.
Aurora picked up her diary and began to write in it and she smiled as she wrote. If anyone was able to get into her diary they'd see that it wasn't just writing, some of it were stories that she was writing. She was hoping to get a special book so she could write her stories separately to her diary. She loved to write and wanted to be a famous author when she was older.
She knew that she might not be able do a lot of things but writing was something she would be able to do so she threw herself into it rather.
Cait was the next one to disturb Aurora and she smiled at the girl.
"Is there anything you'd like to do whilst you're here?"
"No… maybe…" Aurora said as she looked at Cait.
"What is it?" Cait asked.
"I want to be an author one day… but my diary and writing are in one book so I want to get a separate book for each with pens," Aurora said. "I love to write but I have everything together and it can be confusing but I really want to carry on with both…"
"We can take you into town and I will take you myself with Meredith and Jen if you wish that. That way we will be the only ones who know," Cait said.
"But aren't you busy all the time?" Aurora asked.
"Never too busy for my family," Cait said. "Now, I think it's about time we got your dress on you."
Aurora nodded as she stood up and smiled before allowing Cait to help her into her dress. Cait would never admit it but she was enjoying helping the girl to finish getting ready.
It was as Cait did Aurora's zip up that Astoria walked into the room.
"Seanmhair," Astoria said as she saw her grandmother with Aurora. "Did she bother you at all?"
"No, not at all. I came to see how she was. Could you please find Meredith and your piuthar Jen and tell them to come to Aurora's room please?" Cait asked before she watched Astoria nod in confusion but the teenager did as she was asked.
Jen and Meredith soon arrived and Meredith went to her niece's side to check that she was OK.
"Aurora is fine but she needs our help. She wishes to become a writer one day and has a diary," Cait said. "She doesn't want anyone to know yet but she needs two separate books and wants us three to take her. So we are going to take her tomorrow."
"That's the first I've heard of it," Meredith said as she looked at Aurora.
"She doesn't want many people to know," Cait said as she looked at women. "She seems to think that it's not what she should be doing," she said before Jen nodded, understanding and Meredith went to her niece's side.
"You can be anything you want to be and if you want to be a writer then that is what you can be," Meredith said and gently stroked Aurora's curls. "We three can take you and get you set up properly with writing books and pens," she said and Aurora seemed to relax at the words from her aunt.
All too soon it was time for the welcome meal and everyone gathered in the parlor as they waited for the food to be served. Aurora stood there and watched everyone as they arrived. She could see Maggie and Callum and their kids, Jen was deep in discussion with Meredith and Draco, Astoria and Daphne were discussing things as well.
"Want some company?" Kenzie asked as she, Aislynn and Greer came to sit sit with her.
"Yes please. I still feel lost here for some reason," Aurora said as she looked at the girls before listening as the three told Aurora what food would be served as James and Cait liked to try and make it different every dinner they hosted.
Eventually the time came when everyone sat down at the table and the first course was served. Aurora looked at it and thought about it before eating the bits she liked to eat. That was her way of eating things she wasn't sure of. James and Cait had taken that into consideration when planning the courses.
Questions were asked and courses were served and Cait was asked by Maggie what the plan was for the next day.
"Well, Meredith, Jen and I will be taking Aurora into town as we have some business to attend to with her. That business is of no one's concern except the four of us," she said and Aurora sank down in her chair as she could feel eyes on her.
Luckily the main course was served in that moment and Cait had planned it as a distraction to what she'd just announced. Aurora glanced at the witch and smiled at her softly, thankful that Cait was an expert with timing.
Aurora spotted the main meal was pasta and she tucked in rather happily. Pasta was a favourite dish of Aurora's and she could always eat a dish with some form of pasta. She was rather happy that salmon was the fish with the pasta as that was also one of her favourite foods.
"Is there any more?" she asked after finishing her first plate and James chuckled softly.
"We made extra pasta in case you wanted some more pasta," he said and soon Aurora was tucking into some more pasta as she listened to everyone talking.
"Why is Seanmhair, piuthar and your aunt taking you into town tomorrow?" Kenzie said softly, thankful Aurora was able to sit with her, Aislynn and Greer.
Aurora shook her head softly as she didn't want anyone to know really.
"Us three won't tell anyone. We've kept a lot of secrets," Kenzie said softly as she looked at Aurora and squeezed her hand gently.
Aurora looked at her and thought before sighing.
"I have a diary but it's used as a diary and my story writing book and I want them to be separate. Cait, Jen and Aunt Meredith are taking me to town so I can get a book and pen for use as a diary and a book and pen for story writing," she said softly.
"Why don't you want people to know you want to be an author?" Aislynn asked.
"Because we aren't meant to do that… things like that," Aurora said as she looked at the girl. "We're meant to not do things…"
"You can be anything you want to be. That's the advice we have all been given and I am passing it onto you," Kenzie said as she looked at Aurora. "Don't let who you are tell your story," she said and Aurora nodded softly and watched as the desert was brought out.
Aurora smiled and began to eat, happy to get something sweet inside her at last. Cookie dough was one of her favourite things so the desert was right up there for her. She even managed to find room for another portion.
After the meal everyone went into the parlor again and everyone settled down, beginning to discuss things and the children all joined together in one big group to talk about random things. Astoria watched Aurora and wondered what was going on with her but knew better than to press the girl on the matter.
They all carried on taking and discussing matters long into the night before everyone, finally, retired to their rooms and bed.
