Chapter 2:Looking For Answers
After lunch had concluded for everyone the teams separated for their own classes that got combined with some others they knew. But right now the day went rather smoothly for everyone right now. As right now it seemed that they where exiting history class right now with eros seeming to be trouble which yuki picked up on
"Hey cousin you doing okay over here?"yuki asked as he scoffed toward her
"Are you seriously asking that? Do me a dam favor and leave me alone annoyance"Eros coldly said as hearing this was bora, salacia and felix as he looked confused
"Dude what is up his butt right now hes been moody since your mom arrived"felix pointed out
"Yeah i mean i get hes pissed but….jeez you know why hes mad?"bora asked as yuki stared at her cousin sighing right now
"Probably just family stuff or whatever i don't like to pry. Hes cold but hes uh sensitive at times"yuki said surprising them for a moment
"Really? Him sensitive thats such a lie"jonah said walking by with RJ right now as the lynx hummed for a moment shaking his head
"Maybe we don't know everything about each other despite us all knowing each other as children. But we gotta head to our next class come on"RJ said as they kept moving on but yuki could't help but worry for her cousin wondering if hes okay right now.
As classes kept going on and on right now rosa was busy doing one thing that was peeking at her scroll. As she was skimming the news reports on those robotic assassins right now.
"Rosa dear are you listening?"someone spoke up startling her as it was her own mother as she was in her weapons class as ruby stared at her for a moment
"Sorry umm uh…mom"Rosa said as nearby students snickered at that but ruby rolled her eyes at that right now as she continued
"Listen up everyone for maintaining a good weapon out on the field you need to make sure you have a toolkit on you at all times. From experience if you loose your favorite weapon you've treassured for a long time in the field you might not find it again"ruby said
"But to be smart you always carry a back up weapon if you think the mission will be dangerous. I may just lug around my huge scythe from time to time but i do carry this on me at times"ruby said pulling something out that being her mother old weapon she used to carry around in her time when she was a nomad
As she spun the sword around before sheathing it on her hip at the ready right now
"Always be prepared for anything that may come your way. That goes for leader have a backup plan if your weapons fail you or your teammate can't defend themselves"ruby said as the bell rung with them all leaving
Right as class ended rosa stared at the articles right now finding some weird stuff about them saying how they used to be people back in the day to her surprise. But as she was deep in though a cat tail was swaying around
"Heyya my fellow silver eyed sister how you doing"A female voice said startling rosa who yelped right now before turning to the source
As it belonged to a female who was seventeen for her age as she had tan skin like she lived in the sun. but she had a slender and athletic build to her body with a large bust size. With her hair being dark green in color reaching her their was also how she had a set of silver eyes just like her. Along with that their was also how she wore a pair of torn blue jeans with brown knee high boots. But she sported a sip up hoodie colored dark green while wearing a cyan colored long sleeve underneath it. She had on some pouches around her hips with no weapon on her at that moment
But on her behind was a long green and black cat tail
As rosa sighed"stella you scared me…nothing much just studying for when we have our exams"rosa said as stella giggled
"Come on quit burying your nose into a book besides. Where my mischioues twin brother at i saw him go this way"stella asked as someone laughed
"Over here sis just messing with nubia!"a male voice called out right now
Following the source it belonged to a teenage boy who was seventeen himself along with having tanned skin like the girl. Though he also had short black hair with the sides slightly faded along with having silver eyes himself. But he simple wore some brown leather pants along with wearing a dark green t-shirt underneath a dark grey longcoat with the sleeve torn off showing off his toned arms as his body was quite built. Though he wore black fingerless gloves on as well.
But by his side was an annoyed looking nubia who growled
"Dmitri your being such a jerk! Give it back"nubia demanded with her tail and ears straightening out as he smirked at her
"Give what back?"he asked slyly as she glared at him as slipping out of his shirt was tootsie who cooed slithering out of his shirt before crawling up her leg onto her shoulder
"Don't take our family pet like that again my mom needs her for today lessons."nubia said as rosa recalled these two being the twin siblings of her mom friend bombay who were also on naga and rio team which was team WNGG(wenge).
"Come on it was some simple fun but….rosa you doing okay heard what happened in vale from our dad"Stella said meaning her kidnapping
"Yeah creepy seriously. Our dad is paranoid along with our mom we have bodyguards following us everywhere we go"dimitri added
Rosa sighed eyeing a corner seeing a few acolytes watching them"your not the only one my mom asked her family to keep an eye on all of us. But…nevermind we gotta get to class"Rosa said confusing them as they walked forward
But rosa began to think about those assassin right now more importnalty what trish is right now because it made no sense. How was she so normal compared to the rest of those ones they've ran into as she needed answers at one point.
The final class of the day was happening as it was combat training but however pyrrha was their with a small smirk. But someone else was their that being nadia walker right now which surprised some seeing some old tiger here.
Though the tiger was their sitting in a chair with a relaxed look smiling at them which lynn noticed
"Why is this women smiling at us?"he whispered
"That women is our grandma dude….but uh…oh dear god don't tell me grandma walker is sparing with us today"trey said as his other siblings shared scared looks.
"Alright class today something interesting is going to happen today. As your instructor i'm here to simply watch and score your work. But today we brought a special guest to help me examine your combat skills that being an old friend named nadia walker"pyrrha siad as the tiger stood up cracking her back with a loud pop sighing
"Yah yah famous boxer and mother of one of your teachers from beacon you get the gist. "Nadia said making some beacon students murmur at that as the tiger grinned staring at pyrrha for a moment which lance noticed
"Back in the day i helped out at beacon for a while before i had to return back to menagerie. But today i got asked to help repeat one of my old lesson back in the day. That lesson being where we call out two people names to fight someone. Every few minutes that pass we call someone else out. But well were adding one extra person because well i'm too old for it and besides…"nadia paused
As the doors to the room opened with the students looking over before all going wide eyed. As right now entering the room was jaune and zane all geared up as they walked down to the center of the room. As the two did nyx held her head in complete shock right now knowing what was happening now.
As the two got their the tiger grinned"i have two volunteered to teach some of you how to fight. Besides….heard rumors how a couple of them pissed a teacher off"nadia said as donny was their swallowing hard in fear
Pyrrha read the list before announcing them"first up donny wilco, lance arc and….yuki hayley"she said but two of them were in fear of that
"Nope! Nope! I am not fighting him! My mom said hes nuts at times"yuki said trying to escape but someone blocked the door that being her own mother who grinned
"Oh my leader is nuts but…take it easy on her please don't break her leg like you did with those slavers"Eria said as zane grunted cracking his back sighing
"Ehhhh maybe come on down and show us how you can handle two old timers."zane quipped as the teens slowly got down their as donny sported a large shotgun at the ready with a nervous look
As lance drew out his sword and shield at the ready with yuki getting her guitar out scared. But jaune and zane didn't bother drawing their weapons instead throwing them close by as they took offense stances.
"Whenever your all ready begin"pyrrha siad as she held a watch in hand.
Immediately the first to launch a strike was jaune who dashed forward straight for his son as lance saw this coming. Jaune launched a few kicks toward him not surprising lance that he test him first. Though lance blocked the hits with him shield bashing him back slightly as jaune pivoted his feet. Then he threw a quick jab pushing lance back close to the edge.
Seeing this lance readied his sword before thinking of something as he reeled his shield back tossing it forward. As it came at his father it bounced off his guanlent but what came next surprised jaune. Lance ignited his sword with the ignitor feature before launching an arch of wind dust. This made jaune become off balance as he smirked walking over retrieving his sword waving it around taunting him
With donny and yuki immediately the hybrid went for the two as yuki yelped firing a stream of ice dust at him. Though he dodged it swiftly as he was going straight for one person right now that being donny for what he did to his daughter. Donny saw this firing a few pellets at him to try and slow him down. But it was futile as he tanked two hits but then he activated something that being his titan form.
The man tanked the hits before grabbing donny as he pulled his head down slightly before kneeing him in the gut hard. Donny wheezed for air falling to his knee as the man laughed enjoying this right now which vicktor noticed from above
"Dude is your dad enjoying this?"vicktor asked but was meat by fay waving a flag around for her father
"Beat that jerk up dad!"Fay cheered as he frowned right now as close by holmes was laughing right now
"Well this seems like sweet revenge for you doesn't is"holmes asked as fay blushed slightly toward him
"Sort of umm yeah…is that weird"fay asked as he smirked at her
"Not at all"holmes said watching intently as fay smiled with her siblings and friends sharing looks on that.
Yuki decided to try and pin her mother leader down as she raised her hand strumming her guitar. She launched a stream of ice toward him but he saw this letting donny go. As it resulted in him getting frozen. Reeling his leg back zane roundhouse kicked him out of the ring knocking him out of the round.
"Donny is out next up oh eros"pyrrha siad as eros scoffed as he ran in at the ready. With yuki running away dodging a strike from zane who tried to go for a another hit. But coming in for the save was eros who stirked him in the head pushing him back as he shared a look with her nodding together as he drew his axe at. Seeing this the man molted his armor away walking over as he unholstered his revolvers smiling at them.
Immedialty the two came at him head on but he twirled his revolvers firing off at them a few times. One hit yuki knocking her aura down but she growled lunging forward bashing her axe against him making him stumble. With eros swinging his axe a few times to deal some major damage. But as he reeled his axe back again zane caught it headbutting him causing him to stumble back heavily from the hit. Though immediately he felt someone grab him from behind
That being jaune who punched eros back as he groaned right now as lance was on the ground for a moment. As he picked himself up the next person was called up for the fight
"Selene moon and laffa. Along with nyx graves"pyrrha called out sighing those three death sentence as selene cocked her fist back launching herself into the fight. As laffa ran down at the ready with nyx sighing as she shook her head jumping into the fight. Laffa whipped her hair forward trying to hit jaune who side stepped it slashing at her making her wince in pain as it was connected to her bodie. Whipping it back he immediately dashed forward swinging his sword at her several times to try and pin her down.
But immediately lance came in swinging his sword at his father with selene backing up panting
"Are we all just gonna try to beat up your dad and my partner dad?"selene asked
"Yes"lance replied back simply as the couple ran in to try and deal with him quickly. But as yuki came in swinging her guitar several times to try and knock the knight out. Jaune hand got nicked making him drop his sword making her smile. But jaune immeidialty struck as he wrapped his arms around her before throwing her over his shoulder slamming her as others winced
Eria watched where pyrrha was at as she stared at her sister figure
"Make him sleep on the couch for doing that to my daughter"eria demanded as pyrrha will for her. As nyx was busy trying to fight against her dad trading his revolvers out for his katanas. With him swinging them in unison at her. But nyx blocked them with her own katana before firing a shot back from her revolver. This did some minor damage as laffa came in swinging her weapons at him. But the man dodged it before lifting his leg up kicking her out of the ring into a wall as she groaned falling down.
Immediately in quick succession pyrrha called out more students to join the fray as they jumped in with their being four of them. One carried a hammer and anther carried a pair of dueling swords. Then one carried a assault rifle while the last carried a sniper rifle as jaune easily kicked eros out of the ring knocking him down. With the two staring down the remaining teens all deciding to gang up on them as jaune smirked at his friend
"Lets go with the little move we came up over the years. "Jaune said
"The one where i turn into a giant mutt or…."he paused as jaune eyed him as he went oh before sheathing his katana. Then he brought out nightshade twirling it as he slammed it down transforming it. As over the years he added new modes to it increasing the number from nine to twenty four weapons.
The weapon began to transform slowly before taking shape into its new form being a chakaram as it was dark blue in color having a skull in the middle. He smirked as jaune dashed forward as the studnet with the hammer swung at him but he ddoged it before tearing the hammer away to the student shock. Then he swung it forward knocking the student into zane path who kick flipped them straight into a wall
The one with an assault rifle dashed forward with selene throwing punch after punch blasting bullets toward them. Though jaune dashed forward opening his hand as zane moved his arm back tossing it forward. The one student holding a sniper fired forward but as their bullet went forward the chakaram came around hitting them knocking their sniper out of their hands. With jaune jumping up catching it pressing a button changing the weapon again
As this time the weapon shfited again to form a long staff before the end of it had a blade pop out of it. With a skull located near the blade as jaune twirled the spear around. Easily he whacked the student back carrying dueling swords. But they came back from it swinging their swords at him as nyx drew out her bow. Then she fired a couple arrows at her surgant uncle as one hit him but he deflected the second one back hitting the student with the sniper out of the ring. With jaune catching the one with swords before kneeing them in the gut knocking the wind out of them
Pyrrha quickly called in a few others with them being reva and clarice alongside lynn who leaped down aiming his revolvers firing off a few rounds as nyx and lance kept the two busy
"How do we even defeat these two?"lynn asked reva who scoffed
"Uhhh your asking the girl unable to beat her dad out of all her siblings!"reva shouted back but clarice smirked recalling what she did as she held a rapier out. Before suddenly reva felt someone slash her from behind as she looked back seeing it was clarice
"Time for payback bitch"clarice said swinging her sword at her several times as reva tried to deflect her back with her spear. But clarice was quicker as she drew out a hidden dagger before swiping at her a few times. This made reva move back as she growled as her eyes glowed blue with her activating her semblance
Immediately a bright green organic material covered her skin as it crawled its way up her bodie. It resembled a athletic female in appearance with it covering her feet to form heels in design it seems. But as it did it also covered her hands morphing one into a short long blade as she threw her spear aside revealing her other arm having an organic blade. Once it covered her face it revealed a full mask with a narrow slit forming the eyes.
Clarice narorwed her gaze as this was her warrior form with reva dashing forward as she swung both her organic blades in tandem at her. But clarice dodged it swiftly before she lifted herself up over her slashing both her blades down dealing damage to her aura. As the two began to go at it
With nyx she was running around drawing another arrow at the ready but immediately jaune came in slashing at her knocking her back. As she scoffed before suddenly jaune stood in place by the force of gravity.
She looked over smiling at lynn who smiled back as she went in for the killshot. But immediately someone tackled her out of the way that being her father smirking at her as he had nightshade in its katana form
"Come on pup you can't forgot about your dear old pops"he quipped with a grin as she glared at him for that
"Okay then…eat this!"She shouted before switching to her other weapons as she broguth out the shotgun firing a shot at him with her firing off quick shots from her revolver. This distracted him though with reva she got her aura shattered by clarice
Before pyrrha could call it clarice reeled her foot back kicking reva in the skull making her yelp in pain catching some attention as she laughed at her
"Take that bitch for what you did to me during the d–"before she was finished she was stopped mid sentence as someone grabbed her throat. That someone being zane snarling right now as he squeezed her throat
"Don't hurt my daughter you little shit!"he growled as clarice gasped for air punching his arm as eria noticed it.
"Call the dam match now!"eria said as pyrrha stopped it as nadia walked over tearing the man off the teen gasping and coughing for air backing up as her teammates ran down in shock
"The hell the teacher is a psycho!"the student shouted making the man snarl at her
"Then the little bitch shouldn't have hit my daughter with a cheapshot"zane snarled as nadia slapped him upside the head as he stared at her as the women had a sympathetic look
"Leave now glynda gonna have a word about this too you"nadia said as he scoffed walking away as the teens where surprised by that as pyrrha stepped forward
"We'll be calling it early today please don't worry about what happened"pyrrha siad with a nervous look as they did with holmes humming to himself as he grinned at a possibilite
Later at lunch right now a small rumor went around the school that the grave siblings father was some nutcase. With clarice being played as the victim as fay groaned right now holding her head.
"Dad just had to flip out with his crazy switch"Fay whined
"Uhhh you mean how he choked the life out of that chick dude i thought he was gonna kill her"chet said as trey waved a hand at that
"Our dad wound't do that…but uh well..some of did get his pissed off genes. Sasha and uh nyx with some of the others"trey said as nova eyed nyx who looked away
"Are you gonna act like that if i get hurt or something"nova asked making her girlfriend blush at that for a moment
"Maybe just umm i…uh well…i rather not answer"nyx replied making nova roll her eyes as eros rubbed his side
"Well for going easy on us i don't clarify that as easy"eros stated on today lesson
As yuki groaned"i got my butt whooped today that was so embrassing"she said as laffa frowned right now
"Your father arc is brutal. I heard he had a healing semblance not all of that"laffa said as lance nervously laughed
"Well dad did say he helped a few times with atlas special ops but uh lets just hope everyone doesn't give us crap for what happened today"lance said as they continued to eat for the day
But later on in their team room rosa stared out the window right now with her gear on right now as she had her scythe in hand
"I'm going to ask that trish girl what she knows about these assassins. What she is"rosa thought before flying out in her petal form landing on the ground.
Not knowing that someone else was up right now as rosa made her way through the school quietly. Making sure to not be spotted by the guards along with anyone else but as she was nearing the exit she quickly hide in a small alcove for a moment
Watching them pass she sneakily slipped past them into town with her hood up. But as she was walking someone placed a hand on her shoulder almost making her scream but they covered her mouth
"Shut up partner its just me"isa said as rosa went wide eyed to see felix their along nova right now as isa removed her hand
"What are you three doing here?"she whispered
"Heard you sneaking out red besides where you off too"felix asked making her pause as she sighed
"I'm investigating more into those robotic assassins maybe that trish girl knows more than lets on"rosa said making them eye each other for a bit right now.
"Are you sure thats a smart idea i mean where would she even be?"nova asked as rosa thought of some place eyeing the compound in the distance
"The compound last time i saw her she was their"rosa said as they nodded quickly making their way through the city as someone was following them that someone being june who sighed
"Come on kiddios last time you were warned….eh whatever i'll make sure you don't die this time"june said queitly following them to make sure they stayed out of trouble
As the four teens made their way to a nearby shuttle heading their way to the compound. They successfully made it their without being spotted as they walked through the compound seeing the acolytes walking about right now as felix eyed them
"What about these guys should we avoid them?"Felix asked as isa scoffed walking forward with a grin on her face
"Nope watch this"isa said walking forward toward the guards as she did the guards just politely waved to her to their surprise as rosa shrugged her shoulder walking past them with nova and felix as they payed them no mind
"Huh guess we can walk around her freely"nova said aloud
"Uhhh duh were cool with the family here whats next some dogs gonna jump us"felix joked but isa eyed the courtyard right now seeing a few guards with grimm by their side as they seemed canine like but had pure white fur with piercing blue eyes. But they had skull like heads as this bread of grimm where known as garms
"Yeah lets not do that besides lets go talk to a weird robot chick"isa siad as they tried to find trish as june eyed them from a distance with a worried look right now
The teens kept looking around all over the place before after maybe twenty minutes they found something. That being the holding cells but it was more like a hut for trish as the guards where distracted. But felix threw a rock distracting them as they slipped inside the cell
As it was a simple cell with a bar right now to separate them from the prisoner. Along with that a simple bed with a dresser their but right inside of the cell was trish in a pair of grey shorts with a black tanktop on
But she noticed them with a surprised look"what are you four doing here? Shouldn't you be asleep?"she asked
"Hey thats our question but uh well…mhmmm"nova paused for a moment as someone spoke up
"That you all should be in bed right now for the day"june said startling them as the coyote eyed them down right now gripping isa by her cheek making her wince in pain
"Owie!"isa cried in pain
"Zip it. Right now i'm going to be bringing you all back to the academy before you mess things up"june said but rosa immediately spoke up
"But i just wanted to ask her a question"rosa said pointing at trish who looked puzzled right now especially june who stared back at her
"What would that be exactly silver eyes?"trish asked as rosa stared at her long for a moment thinking about their first meeting right now
"Why did you come to the patch? Why did you even come to my home to deliver that message"rosa asked as the ace op here scoffed at that
"Kid she refused to answer anyone else questions so lets jus–"She was stopped by the robot here
"If you want to know then i'll tell you"trish said surprising june right now as the cyborg stared at them for a moment sitting against the wall for a brief moment sighing heavily
"I went their since well…my first priorities for my target was your own mother ruby rose"trish said startling rosa right now hearing that as june kept her hand steady on her sidearm right now close.
"But…but why didn't you attack…you…could have…but why?"rosa asked as the cyborg stared at the ground sighing
"I didn't have that chip in my head like i said before. I didn't go through the programming the others went through or the full cyberization. "Trish said making isa flinch at that for a moment staring at the ground seeing a flash of that assassin she attacked as she thought about it
"Hey ummm quick thing are…are most of those assassin human or robotics"isa asked hesitantly
"Umm what?"Felix asked feeling left out
"We can fill you in later partner"nova said as he would appreciate that as trish paused for a moment staring at the ground sighing as she winced clutching her head in pain for a moment shaking it heavily on the thought of what happened to the others in those labs
"Just…some of us are but not all of us…like i said before the one you defeated wasn't human. But…look i just don't like talking about this at all"trish said making isa feel a little better but worried still
As nova crossed her arms for a moment"but you said your human how is that possible"she asked as the cyborg took her shirt off with felix looking away thinking she stripping as she did since she wasn;t wearing her bodyarmor. As trish pointed to the see through material on her bodie for a moment
"This used to be my stomach i think but i have something like it. I just…don't like talking about this…its…too painful to talk about"trish said seeming hesitant now as rosa understood
"I understand but…still thank you for answering a couple questions but…do you know what they plan to do in vale?"rosa asked
As the former assassin thought about it long for a moment she had a small glitch in her memory as she held her head for a moment shaking her head
"Not much just that their experimenting on something thats all i know right now. But….i heard of rosemary being broken out of jail that might be apart of their plan. She has major influence in that cult"trish explained
"Wait that creepy cult mentioned in history class"felix asked as she nodded
"Her mother lead that cult with an iron fist for their queen. The queen of the grimm and creator of the grimm knights. Her loyal warriors all except for one…it seems i'm in that same boat by betraying my masters. I'm going to sleep"trish said turning away from them as they all left her
Once they were outside june sighed as she was surprised they managed to get anything from her
"Well you kids got more from your own parents from that girl"june said
"Soooo are we in trouble?"isa asked as june hummed for a moment shaking her head
"Nope besides lets get you back to the dorms i rather not have you get chewed out by the headmistresses"june said escoritng them back but isa rubbed her arms feeling troubled about hearing more about those cyborg assassins.
We got a bit of backstory on what trish is along with that it seems she troubled by the events of her past. Though someone blew up in class and that might ruin their career in the near future. Thanks for reading!
