Author's Note: Hey guys, the schedule for new chapters is random. I decide to write if I feel like it and if I still have some juice in my imagination engine. (I'm just slacking off, real)

Also, I realized how fucking shit is, so I have to probably switch to AO3, which is like 50 times better than this shithole.

Fun fact: Charizard is not a Dragon (Yes, you heard it right).

Journal: Day 2

Well, it's currently 7:48 pm right now, still early in the night, but I decided to write stuff down because I learned something cool about the technology around here and the fact that people casually break the laws of physics.

For example, the bags Silph Co. produces are just insane. On the outside, they look like regular bags, but on the inside, they're 2-3 times bigger. I am not kidding about that part—you could store an entire TV inside the bag, and it would still fit somehow. Heck, the weight would remain the same. Could you imagine storing a black hole inside?

As for Poké Balls, from what I understand and see, they convert matter to digital information. I wonder how a Pokémon feels inside a Poké Ball. I know the inside environment changes to their preferences to keep them comfortable.

Now, let's say a huge world-destroying whale like Kyogre gets captured or returned into a Poké Ball. They are essentially giving the Law of Conservation of Mass-Energy a massive middle finger. This law states that mass and energy cannot be created or destroyed in an isolated system. So converting a huge world-destroying whale into a Poké Ball would require a process to handle both mass and energy equivalently. The amount of energy required to convert Kyogre's mass into digital info or some form that fits inside a Poké Ball would be astronomical, and reconverting it back would need very precise control.

Having mind-blowing thoughts like this while struggling to count and measure things makes me look stupid. Am I a hybrid nerd? Whatever.

Moving on, I actually didn't know Vaporeon can predict rainfall by 80% accuracy and can make themselves look dissolved in water but in reality, their near same cell composition to water molecules made it look like they dissolved in deep water. So apparently, if they go underwater, they can choose to go almost invisible or not. That's pretty dope—playing hide and seek with these fellas would be downright hell for the seekers. I also witnessed Ash getting his face hit by a Water Gun from a pissed-off Vaporeon. I don't know what he did, but everyone (aside from Gary who's just laughing behind) just watched, some facepalmed while the staff intervened to calm things down.

Ash, what the hell did you do?

Anyway, I'm sharing a room with Lily, Gary, and Ash. Lily is drawing or sketching as usual, Gary is looking at Lily's sketches, Ash is playing games using this world's equivalent of a smartphones, and I'm writing this journal because I felt like it.

Wait, I just realized psychics can see people's memories. Oh, shit…

Well, time's up. I'm being called out by Gary for writing for so long like I'm making a research paper. To be fair, he's not exactly wrong, but alright, I think this is enough for now. Oh well, I'll write again tomorrow or sometime soon.

"What are you even writing?" Lily asked.

"Uhh, my journal. Really private stuff that I don't want anyone to read," I replied, thinking that mentioning this might be a bad idea.

"Hmm, can we read it? Surely it's just stuff we learned from today," Ash, this is a journal—personal and private stuff here.

"Uhm, Ash, my journal contains personal stuff. That's something I don't want anyone to read or see."

"Oh, sorry Genera, guess I got carried away by my curiosity," Ash replied.

Then Gary smirked. "I'm surprised you even know that word, Ashy boy. Knowing you well, you can't even do basic division."

"Oh yes I can! Give me a quick question and I can answer without fail!"

"What's 100 divided by 2?"

"Oh, um… uhhh… 49!"

Everyone in the room, including me, facepalmed at his answer.

It made me do a soft facepalm. Ash, you were just that close. Dear Arceus, why did you make Ash stupid but a strategic genius when it comes to Pokémon battles?

"Ash, it's 50. How did you come to 49? You missed a single number," I asked.

"Hey! At least I missed only one number. It proves that I'm not that bad!"

"That's actually a fair point…" I mumbled, then sighed. "Okay, um, so what do we do now? We are not allowed to exit our rooms since it's night now, and I'm kinda bored with nothing else to do other than listening to music."

Then I saw Ash had his head up like he had a genius idea, "Okay Ash, I think you have an idea."

"Let's convince Gary that Chariza—" I cut off Ash.

"No, let's just not do that, Ash," I chuckled a bit. "How about we talk about our journey in the future?"

Gary looked at me and smirked. "Yeah sure, and I'll go first. I will wreck the league and become champion!"

"Well, my turn. I'm going to challenge the gyms and the conference so I can build up the skills to become the ultimate Pokémon researcher and explorer! Imagine how many amazing things I will discover!" she said with stars shimmering in her eyes. "How about you, Ash?"

"I will be a Pokémon Master!" Well, here it comes, Ash. They're about to ask what a Pokémon Master is.

"Um, im sorry, but what is a Pokémon Master?" Heh, called it.

"Uhhh, I don't know, befriend Pokémon, I guess?"

"Wait, you don't know?"

"Yeeaaaah…" then Ash made a move to get the attention away from him by asking, "How about you, Genera? Your turn now."

"Well, not too sure about this, but my goal is to explore the world, challenge the gyms, enter conferences, maybe defeat champions, discover things, and befriend all Pokémon. I could go for Pokémon Researcher, but I also want to battle people, and not just that, I want to enjoy seeing the world with my Pokémon."

Everyone went silent in deep thought about what I said, then as usual, Ash broke the silence.

"Wait, maybe that's what being a Pokémon Master means! I think we have the same goal, Genera!" Really, Ash…

Gary laughed. "You sure, Ash? You don't even know the definition of your so-called Pokémon Master, and now you're saying what Genera said is the meaning of Pokémon Master?"

"Chill out, Gary," I said, then looked at the window to look at the stars. "Well, maybe I do want to become a Pokémon Master, but for now, I don't really know what I want to become. Maybe in my journey, I will discover what I truly want to be."

"Come on, Genera, how about we go together on our journey?"

Oh… I don't know if I should get myself involved in legendary shenanigans, especially the Molly girl and, ohhh shit…. Mewtwo… am I gonna get invited and get involved there? What if he finds out the truth about me since he's psychic… how did I not think about this sooner, I'm so damn stupid, whyyyyyy!

I didn't realize I zoned out, and everyone pretty much noticed me being in deep thought, so Lily tapped my shoulder.

"Hey, you okay? You got zoned out there."

"Um, sorry, I got into deep thoughts and I'm thinking about what Ash said." To be honest, I do want to join Ash's adventure, but at the same time, I don't want to because of the dangerous situations he puts himself in with the legendaries, especially Mewtwo… that dude is a menace. Maybe I don't have to join until after the events of Mewtwo strikes back?

Gary spoke up to me, "Well, I think you should, Genera, because Ash will probably get lost in Viridian Forest in day one." He laughed hard, making Ash snap.

"Hey! I know how to travel myself, you know. And Genera, we're gonna have a lot of fun together!"

I sighed and spoke, "I have to think about it, Ash. Oh, also, it's 8:24 pm now. I'm gonna head to sleep now, guys. I don't want to miss the boat fun we will have tomorrow."

Lily nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I'll go to sleep too. Tomorrow is going to be a big day for us."

After Lily and I went to sleep, Ash and Gary were still awake, talking about something. I don't know what it was, but I was already on the verge of sleeping to even know what they were talking about. I should probably start to think about joining Ash in the future. Being chased by a Spearow flock isn't going to be a good experience. Maybe I should join Ash after that? Or after the events of Mewtwo Strikes Back. My thoughts stopped as I fell asleep.

As I entered deep sleep, I quickly found myself in a strange, ethereal dream. It was as if I were eavesdropping on a conversation, a recorded voice message playing over and over in the void.

"I have to find him!" a feminine voice, full of desperation, echoed around me.

"I can't just leave him there!" the same voice repeated, more frantic this time.

"I know he's still alive, I know it!" The intensity in her voice was heartbreaking, and I felt a pang of sorrow and confusion.

"He's out there and I know it," she continued, determination mingling with despair.

Then, a different voice cut through the air. A masculine voice, somber and resigned.

"He's gone. Accept it, it's been 9 years," the man said, his tone heavy with finality.

"They took him away, probably far away from here, and most likely experimented to death," the man added, his words blunt and cruel in their honesty.

"Look, I know you miss him, but please, move on," he pleaded, his voice softer now, almost begging.

I woke up suddenly, tears streaming down my face. I blinked, trying to shake off the remnants of the dream. My breath was ragged, and my chest felt tight. I sat up, still feeling the weight of those voices. It felt like it lasted for hours.

"Um, why are you crying?" Lily's voice brought me back to reality. She was sitting on her bed, looking at me with concern.

Gary was standing nearby, looking equally worried. "You okay? We saw your tears spilling out when we woke up. How do you even cry while asleep?"

Lily shot him a glare. "Gary, you idiot, have you ever heard of nightmares?"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Gary muttered, shrugging.

I wiped my eyes and took a deep breath. "Um... I don't exactly know, guys. I had a very weird dream. I don't know what it is though."

"Anyways, where's Ash?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

"Asleep, and he just won't wake up," Gary said, rolling his eyes.

I snorted. "Why not drop a cup of water on his face? That will wake him up."

Lily chuckled. "I was thinking the same thing. But seriously, what kind of dream did you have?"

I paused, trying to recall the details. "It was strange. I heard a woman's voice, very desperate, talking about finding someone. And then a man's voice, telling her to move on, saying the person was gone."

"Sounds intense," Gary said, frowning.

"It was. I don't know why it felt so real," I admitted, rubbing my temples.

"Maybe it's just stress from the trip," Lily suggested. "New places, new experiences... it can mess with your mind."

"Yeah, maybe," I agreed, though a part of me couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to the dream than just stress. Or was it even stress?

"Well, if you need to talk about it more, we're here," Lily said, giving me a reassuring smile.

"Thanks, guys," I said, feeling a bit better. "But seriously, let's wake up Ash. We can't let him sleep through the whole morning."

Gary grinned mischievously. "I'll get the water."

As Gary went to fetch a cup of water, I couldn't help but reflect on the dream again. Who were those voices? Why did their conversation feel so significant? I shook my head, trying to dispel the lingering unease.

Gary returned with a cup of water and a wicked grin. "Ready?"

I laughed softly. "Go for it."

Gary tiptoed over to Ash's bed, holding the cup over Ash's face. With a swift motion, he tipped it, letting the water splash down. Ash jerked awake, sputtering and flailing.

"What the—?!"

"Good morning, sunshine," Gary said, grinning widely.

Ash glared at him, wiping his face. "Very funny, Gary. Very funny."

"Well, it worked, didn't it?" Gary retorted, still laughing.

I chuckled, feeling a bit more at ease. "Welcome back to the land of the living, Ash."

Ash grumbled something under his breath, but a small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. "Yeah, yeah. Morning, everyone."

"Morning," Lily and I chorused.

"Alright, let's get ready for the day," I said, trying to shake off the last vestiges of the dream. "We've got a boat to catch, and I don't want to miss it. By the way, what time is it?"

"Let me check," Gary checked his wristwatch. "7:33 am, we still have time."

As we got ready, I couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding. The dream still lingered in my mind. This was new; this never happened before. But I pushed it aside, focusing on the adventure ahead. The voices would have to wait. For now, I had friends to journey with and Pokémon to see.

"Guys! Let's head out. I've got my stuff ready," Lily told us in the room.

"Wait! Wait for me! I'm almost done getting my things."

"Ash, we are not in a rush here," I replied. "We still have like 25 minutes or a bit less, but be quick though, because we can't wait forever."

"Got it, got it," Ash replied. Well, it seems like we all got everything ready—well, hopefully. Gary opened the door, and we followed suit. We went to the elevator and headed to the first floor to meet up with everybody from the class.

"Ah, most of you have arrived! There are still a few more left for us to wait for!" Professor Oak said to everyone.

We waited for the rest to arrive, and eventually, we had everyone. We exited the facility-hotel building and walked toward the pier. And let me tell you, the view was just straight-up beautiful: seeing many Magikarp jumping through the water, some Gyarados swimming near the horizon, and many Flying-types doing whatever bird stuff they do.

As we arrived, we saw our teacher waiting for us outside a luxury ship. Wow, is Professor Oak paying for all of this? This is way too good, because back in my old life, I never had a school trip before, let alone got on a luxury boat. Well, fuck you, Philippines—this place is better.

"Well, my dear students, get inside and get yourselves comfortable. We have a big day ahead of us."

As we entered, there were many "wows" from everyone, myself included. The inside was just fancy: beautiful-looking seats and tables, some high-tech-looking machines that looked like some sort of computer—possibly a control panel of sorts. The doors even had a button for you to press to open, which seemed unnecessary. Use a damn door knob! What if it malfunctions and won't open? Stupid tech gurus.

Gary didn't seem as shocked as the others, though still in awe. I assumed he had been through luxury stuff before. I know the Oak family is rich; after all, Professor Oak has a huge ranch and a large swath of land he owns for studying Pokémon behaviors and habitats.

Ash and Lily were also in awe. Can't really blame them, can I? There were also some informational posters here like "The Dangers of Gyarados," "How Not to Treat Pokémon in the Sea," etc. Lots of fun facts here.

"This place is just amazing," said one of my classmates.

"The smell here is just so good."

Oh yeah, I agree with that. The smell here is just so good—like a gas chamber using perfume instead of deadly mustard gas. Wait, no, that sounds wrong. What a very weird way to describe it.

Professor Oak witnessed our reaction and decided to speak. "Ah, I see you are all in awe. How about you all explore around the ship before we depart? We have half an hour more to explore and have fun here!"

This got a lot of "YAYs" from everyone, including me. As we headed to explore and learn more about the ship, I noticed it wasn't big but definitely sizable enough to accommodate 100 people. There seemed to be 30-25 people here, most of whom were students. Jeez, everything here is amazing…

"Oh, it's you, Genera. Have you seen Ashy-boy around here?" Gary asked.

"No," I sighed. "I haven't. He's probably around this place doing reckless stuff. Who knows, he might make a Magikarp angry and cause it to evolve into a Gyarados. Imagine the mess it would bring."

Gary laughed. "Ah, of course he would do that. He acts before he thinks. What a loser mindset he has."

"Gary, don't be rude. That was a joke. I don't think he'd actually pull off that kind of thing. If he did, we'd all die from a sinking ship."

"Whatever you say. Anyways, I'm heading off to find him. Well, have fun!"

"You too, Gary!" I replied.

I decided to go outside to the top deck to look at the beautiful view of both the sky and sea. Some of my other classmates were doing the same thing. The rest of the time was spent on the top deck until we got called into the lobby, where we were told to head to the top deck to see some amazing new Pokémon.

"You see, Dewgong stores thermal energy in its body. It swims at a steady 8 knots even in intensely cold waters!"

I could see the eyes of my classmates shining like stars. "I wonder what else we'll see here," I murmured.

"Well, what about Tentacruel? They are so cool!" one of my classmates asked.

"Oh, Tentacruel? Well, let's see."

I saw him take his Pokédex and point it at a bunch of Tentacruel lying on a small rocky island.

"Oh, Tentacruel? Well, let's see."

I saw him take his Pokédex and point it at a bunch of Tentacruel lying on a small rocky island. The device lit up, and a mechanical voice began to speak.

"Tentacruel, the Jellyfish Pokémon. It has 80 tentacles that move about freely. They can sting, causing poisoning and sharp, stabbing pain."

"Whoa, 80 tentacles? That's intense," one of my classmates said, eyes wide.

"Yeah, and they're super strong too. You wouldn't want to get caught by one," another student added, shuddering at the thought.

Professor Oak smiled and continued to point his Pokédex at different Pokémon. "Let's see what else we can find."

He aimed the device at a group of Horsea playing near the surface of the water.

"Horsea, the Dragon Pokémon. If Horsea senses danger, it will reflexively spray a dense black ink to escape."

"They're so cute!" Lily exclaimed. "I wish I could have one."

"I heard they evolve into Kingdra, and those are really powerful," Gary noted.

"Indeed, they do," Professor Oak confirmed. "Now, let's check out that Krabby over there."

The Pokédex beeped and provided the entry.

"Krabby, the River Crab Pokémon. Its pincers are not only powerful weapons, they are used for balance when walking sideways."

"That's interesting," I said. "I didn't know they used their pincers for balance."

"They look like they'd be pretty tasty," Ash said, earning a round of laughter.

"Classic Ash, always thinking about food," Gary teased.

"Let's not forget about this one," Professor Oak said, pointing at a Shellder clinging to a rock.

"Shellder, the Bivalve Pokémon. It swims backward by opening and closing its two shells. Its large tongue is always kept hanging out."

"That's kind of gross but also cool," a student commented. "Imagine having a tongue that always hangs out."

"I wonder what Cloyster looks like," Ash mused.

"You'll see if you ever manage to evolve one," Gary said with a smirk.

"Look, over there!" someone shouted, pointing at a Slowpoke lounging on a nearby pier.

The Pokédex whirred again.

"Slowpoke, the Dopey Pokémon. Incredibly slow and dopey. It takes 5 seconds for it to feel pain when under attack."

"That sounds like Ash in the mornings," Gary joked, and everyone laughed.

"Very funny, Gary," Ash retorted, rolling his eyes.

"Over here, we have a group of Poliwag," Professor Oak pointed out.

"Poliwag, the Tadpole Pokémon. Its skin is so thin, its internal organs are visible. It has trouble walking on its newly grown legs."

"They look so fragile," Lily said. "I'd be afraid of hurting one."

"They're tougher than they look," Professor Oak assured her. "And here we have a Psyduck."

"Psyduck, the Duck Pokémon. While lulling its enemies with its vacant look, this wily Pokémon will use psychokinetic powers."

"I never thought they'd have psychic powers," I said. "They don't look like it."

"That's why you should never judge a book by its cover," Professor Oak replied, winking.

The professor then aimed the Pokédex at a Staryu glistening in the shallow waters.

"Staryu, the Star Shape Pokémon. As long as the center section is unharmed, it can grow back fully even if it is chopped to bits."

"That's amazing!" one of the students exclaimed. "It's like it has infinite lives."

"Not exactly infinite, but it is incredibly resilient," Professor Oak said. "Now, what about this Seel?"

"Seel, the Sea Lion Pokémon. The protruding horn on its head is very hard. It is used for bashing through thick ice."

"They look so playful," Ash said, watching the Seel frolic in the water.

"They are, but they can also be quite powerful," Professor Oak explained. "And finally, let's not forget Cloyster."

"Cloyster, the Bivalve Pokémon. Its shell is extremely hard. It cannot be shattered, even with a bomb."

"Whoa, now that's impressive," Gary said. "Imagine trying to battle one of those."

"They're a formidable opponent," Professor Oak agreed. "But with the right strategy, you can overcome any challenge."

As we continued to explore and listen to the Pokédex entries, everyone chatted excitedly about the different Pokémon we had seen. The excitement was palpable, and it was clear that this trip was already a huge success.

"Do you think we'll see any rare Pokémon?" a classmate asked.

"Who knows?" I replied. "With Professor Oak, we might see one"

The rest of the time on the top deck was spent marveling at the beautiful view and discussing our favorite Pokémon sightings. It was an unforgettable experience, i have to admit, i did not expect the "boat trip" to be a luxury trip.

An Hour Later

"We have arrived, everyone! This island has Pokémon you might find interesting! Perhaps you can learn more about not just Water-types but other types too!"

Well, I'm casually looking at the sea and sky—it's just beautiful, honestly. I can't wait to see something interesting. I might discover something by accident, but nah, I ain't the protagonist, so probably won't happen.

To be honest, I'm a bit worried that I might cause a big butterfly effect—or Butterfree effect, as it's called here. I'm canon-friendly, alright? I don't want to cause any significant changes in the timeline that could somehow damage reality and maybe piss off the Creation Trio. I don't think that can happen, though. Did my existence here cause a new timeline to form? I dunno, this is giving me a headache.

My thoughts were soon interrupted by our teacher announcing that we had landed and the doors to the outside were now open.

"I wonder where they are going," I mumbled.

As I stepped off the ship and onto the sand, I saw Professor Oak talking to a few of my classmates, probably answering questions about Pokémon. I saw Gary and Ash running around—and Ash just tripped. There goes the laughter and teasing from Gary.

"Hahaha, you okay, Ashy boy?" Gary asked.

"Look, I am fine," Ash replied.

Gary sighed. "Whatever you say, Ash. Well, let's go; time to see some awesome Pokémon!"

"Well, off they go," I said to nobody.

I decided to head into the woods on this small island. I don't think I'll get lost here; there are guiding lights attached to some trees that seem to be solar-powered, and there are maps attached to some trees, so I should be fine.

Wait, Ash can't read maps. Can Gary read maps?

I don't really know. I can't remember the first few OG episodes. All I know about Gary is that he's a bit of a jerk. I'm not a hardcore Pokéfan, so I can't know.

Oh well, I think they'll be fine. Ash is the protagonist, after all, and the chosen one. He will encounter legendary shit, that's for sure.

Should I head and talk to Pokémon? It's a bit risky if I'm going into a patch of grass, especially in the wilderness without Pokémon with me. My teacher and Professor Oak don't seem to be worried, so I think they've got it covered. I hope.

As I walked aimlessly, looking for whatever might catch my eye and interest me, I spotted something green and standing. I couldn't see clearly, so I had to go closer to look.

"Wait, is that a Xatu?" I mumbled.

Somehow, it knew of my presence despite being far away. The hell? And now it's flying towards me. Can't it just teleport or something? It's a Psychic-type, and I'm pretty sure they're supposed to rarely move, considering they just stare at the sun all day. And just as it landed near me.

"Fascinating," a voice said in my head.

What the fuck? Was that telepathy?

Seeing my surprised reaction, it chuckled.

"Ah, forgive me. I should have greeted you first."

I went silent for a moment, then opened my mouth.

"Um, hi, nice to meet you, Xatu," I greeted.

"Hello, human. I assume you already know about our species, so perhaps I will tell you my purpose here."

"Well, we were taught about Xatu in our classes, so yeah. So what are you doing here? Isn't it a bit unsafe around here?"

The Xatu giggled at my response. "Oh, don't be mistaken, it's completely safe around here! As for what I'm doing here, just looking at the sky in peace until I foresaw your presence. You are quite interesting."

Well, that's new. Xatu finds me interesting?

"I'm interesting? How so?" I asked.

"There seems to be a powerful mental psychic block that prevents me from accessing your memories, which I have no intention of doing, I assure you. However, I can pick up your thoughts and emotions."

Okay… that's a new fun fact about me…

"Is it bad?" I asked. I need to know more about this. This is some new shit I'm learning about myself.

"Perhaps. You need to choose kinder words in your thoughts. To answer your question, I don't think it's bad. My intuition tells me that it's for a good reason, for reasons unknown to me," Xatu explained.

I pondered a bit about what Xatu said before speaking up. "Hm, I don't even know anything here. I'm clueless why I have these mental thingies and I never knew I had a mental block for psychic protection until now." Wait, hold on, I can understand PokéSpeech, so why am I replying to his telepathy?

"And um, also I can understand Pokémon, so I guess there's no need to use telepathy." Just as I finished talking, I saw Xatu's surprised reaction.

"Wait, you can? Can you understand me?" in Xatu's natural voice.

"Yep, I understand you loud and clear," I snorted at Xatu's surprised reaction. I guess it's not every day for a Pokémon to meet a human that can understand PokéSpeech. Am I even human, though?

"Huh, this is new to me," Xatu sighed. "You made my day very interesting, human. Now I'm no longer suffering from boredom."

"Uh, you're welcome?" I replied.

We had a very interesting conversation, mostly about psychic abilities and how they work. We went on and on for a few minutes before I heard someone calling for me, and we decided that the pep talks were over. I guess it was fun learning more about myself and stuff about Pokémon.

"Genera! Hey, where are you?" yelled a voice in the distance.

Huh, must be Gary. "Yeah, I'm right here, completely fine and alive!" I yelled back.

"Good, because we found something cool here!" Something cool? Well, that got my attention.

"Yeah, yeah, coming!" His yells were coming from a small hill in front of me, so I assumed they must be there or behind the small hill.

As I was heading to the hill, I could slowly hear my classmates talking about something. "What Pokémon is it inside?" Huh? Did they find an egg?

When I arrived, I saw an egg surrounded by my classmates. Strange, why is there an egg in a tree? Shouldn't it be in a nest or some safe spot? And I don't think it's a good idea to be near a Pokémon egg, which could piss off Pokémon parents or something.

I also saw the egg's color: yellowish-white and green. Maybe a Bug-type egg? Not sure.

My thoughts were soon interrupted by a familiar voice I absolutely couldn't mistake.

"Ah, Genera, there you are. I assume you found anything fascinating?" Professor Oak asked.

Considering all those new things I learned from Xatu, of course. "Of course, Professor! I even met a Xatu!" I replied.

"Oh, a Xatu, you say? Xatu can see a bit of the future; it must have seen you coming! Say, did it talk with you, Genera?"

"Yeah, Professor, it talked through telepathy. It even told me about psychic stuff."

This got me a glare from my classmates.

"What?! Does that mean you can use psychic power?!"

I facepalmed. "No, we were talking about things related to psychic stuff, you dummy."

Professor Oak, amused by our bickering, decided to end our little messy chat.

"Ah, must be a fun experience for you then," Professor Oak said to me.

"Oh well, you should've been with us on the beach earlier because we saw a bunch of Water-types battling each other!" One of my classmates said.

After that, we continued discussing what we had learned so far, mostly about our future plans as trainers. Most of us wanted to become trainers, while some preferred to continue their education before becoming trainers. Personally, I'm impatient and eager to become a trainer. I feel like I'm already educated enough from my previous life as a senior high schooler.

While we walked around the beaches, we collected dead corals and leftover shells as souvenirs. I found a cool shell that might be from an Oshawott—I don't know for sure, but I'm keeping it anyway.

At noon, we finished our little adventure on this small island and headed back to our ship to sail toward the mainland.

"Okay, good, I got the headcount. All of them are here," said a staff member.

I enjoyed observing everyone doing their tasks, including my classmates. I never had this weird quirk of observing people until I came into this world. I also did this during school and literally everywhere I went where I saw people working. My classmates noticed this and gave me the nickname 'Nerdy Observer,' which is pretty shit, not gonna lie, but I don't really mind.

I think the reason I enjoy observing is because Pokémon are involved, and watching the unique advanced technology in this world is fascinating. And I swear I'm not doing anything weird.

I decided to sit down and look around my surroundings. Gary was flexing his knowledge to other classmates. To be honest, Gary is smart, but his ego is overinflated. Ash was sleeping in a seat two seats in front of me. Lily seemed to be thinking about something, holding her sketchbook but not drawing anything—probably thinking about what to draw. Everyone else was talking to each other and playing.

I started to get tired, which is fair enough since I had been walking for the past few hours with my friends, learning about Pokémon-related subjects. So, I decided to rest for a bit until we reached our destination, the mainland.

Half an hour later

I got woken up by the loud sounds of horns and my teacher calling us.

"Alright, my beloved students, we have arrived back at the facility, so please get your things packed and make sure you're not missing anything."

I wondered if we were going to explore the city here, maybe meet Lt. Surge? It's not league season yet until after three weeks, and it's currently April 11. Also, there's a good chance Lt. Surge will call us newbies and maybe insult us? Probably not. As much as a crazy 'lectro soldier this guy is, he probably wouldn't go that far.

As we arrived in the lobby of the facility, I heard the teacher call us.

"My students, do any of you want to explore the city? I'm sure you all want to see the sights of Vermillion City!"

Some joined, some did not, which is fair—they were exhausted and tired from all that walking on the small island. I was also exhausted, but my excitement and will to explore the city overpowered my exhaustion.

But first, we needed to head to our respective rooms to store our things.

As I reached our room, I saw no one but Ash.

"Oh, hey Genera!" Ash said.

"Sup Ash, where's Gary and Lily?" I asked. Are they in the lobby right now?

"I dunno," Ash replied, then continued, "But I think they are in the lobby with the rest who want to explore Vermillion City."

"So, you're staying here, Ash?"

"No, I'm joining too. I've been here before with my mom, but we didn't really see much of the city. It was a short visit."

"Ah, I see. Wanna join up with them together?"

"Yeah, sure!"

We headed down to the lobby to join up with the rest who wanted to explore the city and visit major locations.

"Ah, looks like the kids are excited to look around Vermillion City," Professor Oak said.

The teacher chuckled. "Yep, sure they are."

We finally started to head out on our epic walk. I looked at the tall skyscrapers and high-rises, admiring their size. I had never seen a skyscraper with my own eyes in my old life. I had seen many tall buildings before, but they weren't as tall as the ones I was seeing now.

Back in my old life, my family wasn't poor but not rich enough to visit any famous cities, not even in my home country. Davao was the closest, but their buildings are nowhere near as tall as those in Vermillion City.

After about 15 minutes of walking, we arrived at a big park filled with many Pokémon and people. Most of them were having picnics, which was nice. Some kids were playing together with Pokémon, and trainers were having fun with their Pokémon friends. The vibrant energy of the park was infectious, and we all felt a renewed sense of excitement.

We started our exploration by heading towards the Vermillion City harbor. The view was breathtaking, with ships of various sizes docked and ready to set sail. The sparkling water and the sound of Wingull flying overhead made the scene almost magical. Ash and Gary were debating the different types of ships used for Pokémon transportation, while Lily sketched the picturesque harbor scene in her sketchbook.

As we continued our walk, we stumbled upon a small market bustling with activity. Stalls were set up with vendors selling a variety of goods, from Poké Balls to berries and even handmade Pokémon accessories. Ash couldn't resist buying a few stickers, while Gary picked up some accessories. I found a beautiful necklace with a small pendant shaped like a Poké Ball, which I decided to buy as a keepsake, rip my wallet though.

Next, we visited a small café near the Vermillion gym. It was a bit unfortunate we didn't get to meet or at least see Lt. Surge. The café had outdoor seating and was surrounded by beautiful flowering plants. We took a break and enjoyed some delicious snacks and drinks. The menu featured various Pokémon-themed items, and I couldn't resist trying the Pikachu-shaped cookies. We sat and chatted, enjoying the pleasant atmosphere and the cool breeze. Our teacher also paid for everything too so thats very nice of her.

By the time we finished our exploration, it was around 2 PM. The sun was high in the sky, and we were all feeling a bit tired from the walking and excitement. We decided it was time to head back to our facility.

We retraced our steps through the bustling streets of Vermillion City. The energy of the city was still palpable, but we were ready for some rest. We made our way back to the harbor and boarded our ship. The ride back was much quieter, with everyone reflecting on the day's adventures. Some of us chatted softly about our favorite parts of the day, while others, like Ash, dozed off for a bit.

Upon arriving back at the facility, we gathered our belongings and made our way back to our respective rooms. The day had been full of excitement and discovery, and we were all looking forward to some well-deserved rest. As I entered my room, I placed my new necklace on the bedside table and flopped onto my bed, feeling content and ready to relax before our next adventure.

AN: I have been slacking off, grrrr :( Anyways, I probably have to switch to AO3 since I'm planning to make a shitty Chatfic and join the Kitchen Made/Kitchen AU shenanigans there. I'll also partake in Fritik's prompts and cooking in the kitchen in Fritik's Discord server.
