Hey everyone, sorry for the wait, I've been running around like a mad man, and having a hard time getting some writing done.
Now another thing, someone asked me if I could do persona story, and I started to think about it, then I came up with an idea of a Persona 4 X Pokemon Ranger Crossover. (And if you're wondering why Pokemon Ranger, it's because out of all my stories, the ones I have out now and the ones I'm saving for later, Pokemon ranger is the one Pokemon game I haven't used yet.) (Also I'll be using both the anime and the game when I'm writing the story, using the best of both parts.)
The idea is that Pokemon have been going missing on the Pokemon World, so the Pokemon Rangers are investigating the cause, and while investigating My OC and his partner gets dragged into TV world, and in the TV world he witness the first murder, feeling guilty about being unable to save her, he works with the Persona 4 Team to help find out the person behind this murder.
Now that was just the base of the idea, I'm still working out a few ideas for it, but what do you think, is this something you want to read? Please leave a review if you're interested in reading it.

Chapter 11
A Pirate's Creed
After getting the Sale'tomah, everyone was walking out of the woods, with their Pokemon in their Pokeballs, and Zane was awake after that tree branch fell on his head and in his normal form. "You know you didn't have to drag me?" Zane said to Velvet, as he rubbed his face, getting the soil of his face, and everyone kept walking.
"Just be glad I didn't decide to eat you or leave you behind." Velvet said to Zane. "Oh, like you would eat me. You like me too much for that." Zane said to Velvet, as Velvet summoned her daemon claw, making Zane giggle in nervousness, before disappearing and reappearing in front of Velvet, moving from Velvet's Claw. "I'll shut up." Zane said to Velvet, as Velvet returned her claw back to normal.
"Laphicet, can I ask you a bit of an awkward question? What… kind of daemon would you say Velvet and Zane is?" Eleanor asked Laphicet. "Uh, well…" Laphicet said to Zane. "Oh, don't worry! I'm not trying to find a vulnerability or anything. I'm only asking out of curiosity." Eleanor said to Laphicet.
"It's not that I doubt you, Eleanor. I just don't know much about them, myself." Laphicet said to Eleanor. "You've fought against them, haven't you? She consumes her enemies with her land and claims their power, she's a daemon like absolutely no other. Plonk just about any daemon down in front of her, and I bet she could devour it in a single gulp. As for Zane, he's a human, one fused with darkness, he can move through darkness and fire arrows of pure death. He is death champion. He's one of a kind." Magilou said to Eleanor.
"Yeah. I'd say that's pretty much true. Sometimes daemons that she doesn't entirely devour turn human again but-" Rokurou said to Eleanor, but was interrupted by Eleanor. "What?! You've seen daemons turn back into humans?!" Eleanor asked Rokurou.
"Is it that big of a deal?" Rokurou asked Eleanor. "Of course it is! Everyone knows that once you catch daemonblight, that's it. There's no turning back!" Eleanor said to Rokurou. "Or is that what your order said? To make you believe in they're way, and the only way." Zane said to Eleanor.
"When I think about it. I did see it happen with the High Priest Gideon. I wonder if there's some kind of connection." Eleanor said to everyone. "Not that it matters if he turned back; daemon or not, he's dead either way." Rokurou said to Eleanor.
"Whatever it is, it's of no concern to a pirate." Eizen said to everyone. "If I were you, I wouldn't worry about what's normal. If things were normal, we wouldn't have found each other!" Magilou said to Eleanor.
"You have a point." Eleanor said to Magilou. "Sorry I couldn't help, Eleanor." Laphicet said to Eleanor. "No, you didn't do anything wrong." Eleanor said to Laphicet. 'But I need to keep digging until I find out more about the kind of daemon Velvet, and where Zane got that power.' Eleanor thought to herself.
While walking, Laphicet smelled the sale'tomah. "Sale'romah flowers smell so sweet, like raspberries." Laphicet said to everyone. "Let me smell." Rokurou asked Laphicet, as he took a sniff. "Oh! They smell tasty!" Rokurou said to everyone.
"Do they really taste that bad?" Laphicet asked everyone. "They lure you in with their scent, but once that flower hits your tongue, its flavor transforms into something dreadful." Eizen said to everyone.
"Dreadful, like how?" Rokurou and Laphicet asked Eizen. "The petals melt into a liquid thousands of times stronger than mint, and the leaves and stem taste richer than the richest beef tongue. The two flavors clash and fizz on your tongue, and your whole body is wracked with choking pain!
"What?" Laphicet asked Eizen. "Seriously?!" Rokurou asked Eizen. "That's what Aifread told me, anyway." Eizen said to them, earning a blank stare from them. "It's… actually true." Eleanor said to everyone, getting their attention.
"That's exactly what it's like." Eleanor said to everyone, with a disgusted look on her face. "You've tasted it before, haven't you? Is there any way around it?" Laphicet asked Eleanor.
"You can squeeze it, boil it, mix it with honey… but nothing gets rid of the taste. Trying to mix it or sweeten it makes it even harder for some to swallow." Eleanor said to Laphicet. "Have you taken yours?" Laphicet asked Eleanor.
"No. I'll do it once I;m back on the ship with the pirates." Eleanor said to Laphicet. "Wait. Are you the type that puts off unpleasant tasks?" Rokurou asked Eleanor. "Not at all! I simply cannot be the first to drink it when others are still waiting for us to believe their doses." Eleanor said to Rokurou.
"You do know that you'll have to drink double the dose after you start displaying the symptoms, right?" Eizen asked Eleanor. "Are you certain?!" Eleanor asked Eizen, freaking out a little.
"Quit being so stubborn. It'd be better if you just got it over with!" Magilou said to Eleanor. "And you've taken your dose?" Eleanor asked Magilou. "Nah. I don't need to. Having a tethered malak drink it is enough to absorb its effects." Magilou said to Eleanor.
"But to a malak, it tastes…" Eleanor said to Magilou. "Yes, the cuter you are, the worse it tastes! Hee hee hee… it's good to be an exorcist, eh, Eleanor" Magilou asked Eleanor, cracking a big smile, and patting Eleanor on the back.
"Do I… have to drink it?" Laphicet asked Eleanor. "O-of course not. I'll suffer through my own dose of sale'tomah." Eleanor said to Laphicet. "Oh, pooh. How dull." Magilou said to everyone, as Laphicet sighed in relief.
After a bit more walking, the gang found a couple exorcists standing around and talking. This caused everyone to hide behind some hills. "You think there's any chance that wanted malak would launch an attack?" the first exorcist asked the second exorcist. "His target's probably Lothringen, but stay sharp just in case. He might try to break open the bug cage as a diversion." The second exorcist said to the first exorcist.
"Wanted malak? Lothringen? Hmm." Velvet said to everyone. "I might know who they're talking about." Zane said to Velvet.
"First those daemons wreck Hellawes and then Eleanor betrays us. We're never gonna catch a break." The first exorcist said to the second exorcist. "Quit whining. Cleaning up messes is our job?" The second exorcist said to the first exorcist, before they walked away.
Once they were gone, everyone moved out of cover, with Eleanor feeling about what they said. "Looks like our Abbey buddies are up to something." Rokurou said to everyone. "And the "bug cage" That barrier, I assume?" Eizen asked everyone. "If so, it won't be long before they find out we broke it." Magilou said to everyone.
"Then we should make our exit while we can." Velvet said to everyone. "Hopefully that wanted Malak keeps them occupied for a while." Zane said to everyone, as they started to move.
While walking back to the ship, they ran into Zaveid and Fitin. "Hey! How goes it?" Zaveid said to everyone. "I thought the malak causing trouble was you…" Zane said to Zaveid, but was interrupted by Eizen.
"Zaveid!" Eizen said to Zaveid, as he let out Duncan and they rushed Zaveid and Fitin, but stopped when Zaveid pulled out a very decorative black gun. "Easy there, bro! I don't got time to spar today. Got a date lined up!" Zaveid said to Eizen.
"That artifact you've got belongs to Aifread. Why do you have it?" Eizen asked Zaveid. "Just picked it up off the ground somewhere." Zaveid said to Eizen. "Don't play with me, though, guys. I have ways of making you talk." Eizen said to Zaveid, as Zaveid put the gun away.
"Ha! I wonder how much pain gets YOU to open up." Zaveid said to Eizen, raising his arms like whatever. "You're the one about to be tested." Eizen said to Zaveid. "It's not up to you how this goes. If I wanna talk, we'll talk. And if I wanna fight. we'll fight." Zaveid said to Eizen, before pulling out the gun again, and pointing it to his head, surprising everyone.
"What are you?!" Eleanor asked Zaveid, as Zaveid shot a burst of green energy into his head, making a burst of green and wind flow around him. Then Zaveid smirked at everyone, making them raise their guard.
"I'd play more, but I don't wanna keep ol' pointy-beard waiting. We'll chat some more later… With our first!" Zaveid said to everyone, before picking up Fitin. "Later." Fitin said to everyone, before he and Zaveid disappeared in a burst of wind. "Wait!" Eizen said, as he ran after Zaveid and Fitin, with Duncan following Eizen.
"Eizen! Duncan! We need to get the flowers to everyone on the ship!" Laphicet said to Eizen and Duncan. "You can handle it." Eizen said to Laphicet. "We'll catch up later." Duncan said to Laphicet.
"But your-" Laphicet said to them, but was interrupted by Zane. "Don't bother Laphicet, the two of them won't turn back. Eizen wants answers from Zaveid, and Duncan wants a fight from Fitin. The only thing we can do is get back to the ship and give the flowers to the others." Zane said to Laphicet.
"He's right. Let's head back, Laphicet." Velvet said to Laphicet. "Yeah, Eizen and Duncan can handle themselves." Zane said to Laphicet. "All right." Laphicet said to Velvet and Zane, before they all started to walk towards the ship.
"That thing Zaveid was holding… What do you think that was?" Laphicet asked everyone, as they kept walking. "From the sound of it, it seemed to belong to Aifread." Eleanor said to everyone.
"I've never seen any object or arte quite like it. Maybe it's the relic Aifread brought back from a continent across the sea." Magilou said to everyone. "An arte from another continent. Do you think Eizen will be all right?" Laphicet asked everyone.
"That malak seemed to know what he was doing. I'd rather we just started out of his way, but…" Eleanor said to everyone. "First the throne, and now here… What is Zaveid after, anyway?" Rokurou asked everyone, making them think.
"He was probably just making up that "date" business… But still "ol' pointy-beard"?" Eleanor said to everyone. "I think Zaveid was talking about already having someone else to fight and just being silly about it." Zane said to everyone.
"Could it be Aifread? When I was talking with Benwick, he said Aifread had a pointy beard!" Laphicet said to everyone, making a realization enter everyone's head. "You don't say." Velvet said to Laphicet.
"Then I bet Zaveid is that "wanted malak" the Abbey's looking for." Rokurou said to everyone. "I figured that out once we meant Zaveid." Zane said to Rokurou.
"Yeah, he must be aware they're after him. And then he baited Eizen into following him using something that belonged to Aifread." Velvet said to everyone. "And I'm pretty sure Eizen knew that. But he went after him all the same… ugh, this can only go well, I'm sure." Rokurou said to everyone, with an annoyed tune in his voice.
"Is Eizen and Duncan in trouble?" Lpahicet asked Rokurou. "It doesn't matter either way, if his corsair's scourge goes untreated. For now, let's get back to the ship." velvet said to Laphicet. "She's right, whether or not Eizen and Duncan are in trouble or not, if our crew dies, we'll be stuck here." Zane said to Laphicet.
A few minutes later, everyone reached the ship, with Benwick waiting on the port."We've brought back your sale'tomahs. Drink up." Velvet said to Benwick, as she handed him the flowers. "You saved us." Benwick said to Velvet, as he took the flowers.
"But.. where is the first mate?" Benwick asked everyone, as he noticed Eizen wasn't here. "We bumped into some wannabe tough-guy and he just took off after him." Magilou said to Benwick.
"Wha- That must have been Zaveid! Why didn't you guys follow him?!" Benwick asked everyone. "And leave you all with the corsair's scourge?" Eleanor asked Benwick, as she put her hand on her hips.
"Yes! Eizen's the one in danger here!" Benwick said to Eleanor. "Is it because the Abbey is after Zaveid?" Velvet asked Benwick. "So you even knew about it! I heard the details from a merchant who deals with the Abbey. Some big-shot exorcist named Melchior has set up a trap for Zaveid in Lothringen. If Eizen gets caught up in that, he might not make it out alive!" Benwick said to everyone.
"So now there's Melchior to worry about." Velvet said to everyone. 'Why is Lord Melchior assuming direct command to capture Zaveid? Wait, that's not important. What matters is I can turn Laphicet over to him and finally return to the Abbey!' Eleanor thought, as she looked at Laphicet.
"Melchior's a legate. A powerful enemy, trap or no." Velvet said to everyone. "Gah, you guys are useless! Well, fine! If you're not going to go help him, we will!" Benwick said to everyone.
"What makes you think you're capable of being any help?" Eleanor asked Benwick. "Would you let an alley get slaughtered just because you were sacred?" Benwick said to Eleanor. "What?" Eleanor asked Benwick.
"We want to save him. Maybe we'll lose. It still won't stop us! We are the ones who decide our fates. Only us! That's just the creed of Aifread's Pirates!" Benwick said to Eleanor, putting Eleanor at a loss for words.
"You're a real hot-head, you know that? Nobody said anything about not helping Eizen." Velvet said to Benwick. "Huh?" Benwick asked Velvet. "If we didn't take care of you guys first, Eizen would give us a lecture instead, and we would lose our crew. So helping you guys first was in our best interest." Zane said to Benwick.
"You all stay here, take your medicine like good little boys. And be ready to welcome back your first mate and captain." Velvet said to Benwick. "The captain?!" Benwick asked Velvet.
"Why else would Eizen knowingly barge into a trap, if not to save Aifread?" Velvet asked Benwick. "Ahaha! Of course! Leave the ship and crew to me." Benwick said to Velvet, before walking away.
"Here, these are for you two." Velvet said to Eleanor and Zane, as she passed them a flower. "I knew I would get a flower from you." Zane said to Velvet, smirking. "Just take it like the pirates." Velvet said to Zane. "Those pirates haven't lick of sense in them." Eleanor said to everyone.
"They don't let "reason" dictate who they protect." Velvet said to Eleanor, crossing her arms. "If you say so, daemon." Eleanor said to Velvet, shaking her head. Then everyone looked at Eleanor and Zane, making them take their medicine. And while Zane started to cough and lean forward a little, Eleanor gack and fell to the floor.
A few minutes later, Eleanor got up. "Sorry about that." Eleanor said to everyone. "Now… About where Eizen's headed." Rokurou asked everyone. "Those exorcists were talking about some place called Lothringen. "Yes, it's a tower in the northern part of Westgand where the exorcist trains." Eleanor said to everyone.
"Lines up with what Benwick told us. That must be the place." Velvet said to everyone. "There must be a lot of exorcists. Hang in there, Eizen and Duncan." Laphicet said. "Ahh, it'll take more than basic exorcists to do them in." Rokurou said to Laphicet. "We ought to pity any poor exorcists who meet the Reaper." Magilou said to Laphicet.
"Right. Let's work together and find him!" Laphicet said to everyone, as they started to walk towards Lothringen.
While walking Eleanor was holding a hand to her head. "Ugh. Sale'tomah is as awful as I remember. I'd hoped I'd never have to drink it again." Eleanor said, thinking out loud. "Are you all right, Eleanor?" Laphicet asked Eleanor.
"Is this your second experience with the corsair's scourge?" Rokurou asked Eleanor. "No, I had it for a different reason. In the Abbey. It's tradition for initiates to drink sale'tomah as part of their welcoming festivities." Eleanor said to everyone.
"Sounds like hazing to me." Velvet said to Eleanor. "When everyone shares the same experience, drinking something so shockingly revolting, our bonds are strengthened. It's a good thing." Eleanor said to Velvet. "If you say so." Velvet said to Eleanor. "I really did believe I'd never have to taste it again. To be blunt, I hate it." Eleanor said to everyone.
"What about you Zane, how did it taste to you?" Laphicet asked Zane. "It was pretty strong, but I've had strong stuff before, so my tolerance was better than Eleanor's tolerance." Zane said to Laphicet.
"You've eaten something worse than sale'tomah?" Eleanor asked Zane. "I won't say worse, but after eating a few Tomato berries, your taste buds tend to be on the charged side." Zane said to Laphicet.
"That just means, out of the two of you, Eleanor is the lucky one with good taste, and Zane has no taste." Right, Velvet?" Magilou said to Eleanor and Zane, and asked Velvet, making Velvet mad a little. "What does that mean?" Eleanor asked Magilou and Velvet.
"Velvet… can't taste anything aside from blood." Laphicet said to Eleanor. "What?!" Eleanor asked Laphicet, very surprised by this. 'Is that… because she's a daemon?' Eleanor thought, as she looked at Velvet.
"I'm aware of one other flavor. Magilou, here's your dose of sale'tomah." Velvet said to everyone, before pulling out a flower. "N-Noo!" Magilou said before running away. "Get back here!" Velvet said to Magilou, as she went after Magilou.
Magilou then started to run around everyone, using them to keep Velvet away, but Velvet was able to catch her. "D-Don't! Keep that sale'mmrrphh… away from mmrrphh!" Magilou said to Velvet, as Velvet stuffed the sale'tomah into Magilou's mouth, with a smirk on her face.
"Auuuugh! Bleeeeech!" Magilou said, as she started to hack a little, making Laphicet giggle a little. "I-I See. The sweet taste of another's suffering." Eleanor said to everyone, with a flat look on her face.
After a bit more of walking, Eleanor noticed Laphicet having a worried look on his face. "What's wrong Laphicet?" Eleanor asked Laphicet. "I was just wondering why Eizen and Zaveid can't work together to find Aifread. And why Duncan and Fitin want to fight each other." Laphicet said to Eleanor.
'All men their age care about is their reputation, their street cred. Such a hassle." Magilou said to Laphicet. "And some Pokemon just like to clash heads with one another, no reason behind it." Zane said to Laphicet.
"Oh… really?" Laphicet asked everyone. "Well, I can't fully deny it." Rokurou said to Laphicet. "The same could be said of women… and of everyone, really. It's hard to work alongside someone unless you strive to understand their thoughts and feelings." Eleanor said to Laphicet.
"And if you can't?" Laphicet asked Eleanor. "Well, um…" Eleanor said to Laphicet, not knowing what to say. "It's like Zaveid said. You started talking with your fists instead." Rokurou said to Laphicet. "Sounds harder than I thought." Laphicet said to Rokurou.
After a bit more walking, everyone found Eizen and Duncan in an exorcist's camp, with a lot of exorcists lying around the camp. "Did you get the medicine to the ship's crew?" Eizen asked everyone, as Laphicet ran up to Eizen. "Yeah." Laphicet said to Eizen.
"Good. My thanks to you." Eizen said to Laphicet, as everyone looked at the exorcists laying around. "These soldiers won't be happy in the morning, but they're alive. Is this your work?" Rokurou asked Eizen.
"No, they were like this when I got here. It must have been Zaveid and Fitin." Eizen said to Rokurou. "He didn't kill a single one. Interesting." Velvet said to everyone. "The Abbey is going to great lengths to arrest him." Rokurou said, as he looked around.
"Even so, he clearly knows he's walking into a trap, and Fitin is gladly following Zaveid into that trap. What I don't get is why he roped me into all of this. If he didn't want my help, then what need did he have to play the Aifread card on me?" Eizen asked everyone.
"If you knew this was a trap, why did you come?" Eleanor asked Eizen. "To see for myself." Eizen said to Eleanor, before turning away from everyone.
"When I met Aifread, I was wallowing in despair that I would ever find a way to break the Reaper's Curse. "Stop denying reality," he told me, "If you were really born with that curse, then it's a part of you". "But if the Reaper learns to grasp the wheel of his life, even he may find his creed, his path through stormy water". And so I joined him aboard the Van Eltia." Eizen said to everyone.
"A creed of life." Laphicet said, feeling determined. "Let's say someone's murdered the captain. If it came as the result of him living life on his terms, I could accept that. But if anyone, and I mean anyone, tried to crush his way of life, I could never forgive them." Eizen said to everyone, with Zaveid and Fitin hiding behind a tent and listening in, with Zaveid agreeing with Eizen.
But that's when Velvet heard some rustling. "Who's there?" Velvet called out. That's when Zaveid and Fitin came out of hiding and walked up to everyone. "It's rude to eavesdrop." Eizen said to Zaveid, as he turned to Zaveid. "If ya got secrets, talk about 'em at home." Zaveid said to Eizen.
"Zaveid, isn't there any way you and Eizen can work together somehow?" Laphicet asked Zaveid. "Not if he's going to keep acting like this." Eizen and Zaveid said at the same time. "Perfect parallels of each other." Zane said to everyone, annoying Eizen a little bit. "Well, that's how it is." Zaveid said to Zane, before he and Fitin walked away.
"What was the point of all the posturing? He could have just stayed hidden. Weirdo." Magilou said to everyone. "Can't disagree there." Velvet said to everyone. "We should probably start following him." Zane said to everyone.
"Before I have to ask?" Eizen said to everyone, before turning to Eleanor. "Lothringen Tower is a training ground for exorcists, right?" Eizen asked Eleanor. "Yes. It's a great edifice built on ancient ruins." Eleanor said to Eizen.
"Laphicet, did you ever go there when you were tethered to teresa?" Velvet asked Laphicet. "I don't really remember the beginning of my service to Teresa." Laphicet said to Velvet. "I see." Velvet said to Laphicet.
"What sort of training do they do there?" Eizen asked Eleanor. "Exorcists are tested and assigned malakhim equivalent to their aptitude with mana. It's also where they practice malak artes and study our laws." Eleanor said to Eizen.
"So the lower ranks use as a sparring ground in order to train up to the higher ranks?" Rokurou asked Eleanor. "No, an exorcist's affinity to mana is not something that strengthens through training. We are given malakhim based on our inborn ability, then learn artes to suit that ability." Eleanor said to Rokurou.
"So, an orderly is an orderly for life, then?" Velvet asked Eleanor. "Correct." Eleanor said to Velvet. "There'd be no spirit of competition, then. Don't they wanna get stronger? To advance through the ranks?" Rokurou asked Eleanor.
"There'd be no purpose to advancement. Rank signifies nothing more than the type and number of malakhim one can tether. People join the Abbey for only two reasons: to protect people from daemons, and to save the world." Eleanor said to Rokurou.
"Maybe for you. People can also join for power, for revenge, for authority. They're never just one reason why people do what they do." Zane said to Eleanor. "That's not true, everyone in the Abbey just wants to help." Eleanor said to Zane.
"I wonder if your wills are suppressed just like those of the malakhim you use." Velvet said to Eleanor. "Deviants like you could never possibly understand our motives. In any case, that is who awaits you at Lothringen Tower." Eleanor said to Velvet and Zane, as she closed her eyes and turned her head.
"So we're in for a tough welcome. I say bring it on!" Rokurou said to everyone. "Assuming Zaveid doesn't beat you to the punch." Zane said to Rokurou. "I can't wrap my head around Zaveid." Rokurou said to everyone.
"Hm. We witnessed his unwillingness to kill before, but it seems he's quite serious about it." Magilou said to everyone. "Maybe that's why I don't feel scared of him. Even when he and Eizen were about to fight, I didn't feel tense at all." Laphicet said to everyone.
"Perhaps that's just because you've been around Velvet and Zane a bit too long, kiddo. Next to them, few people are frightening" Magilou said to Laphicet. "Do you think so?" Laphicet asked everyone.
"Don't ask me." Velvet said to Laphicet. "Leave me out of this." Zane said to Laphicet. "Haha. Zaveid doesn't come across as vicious. I think that's why you're not sacred." Rokurou said to Laphicet. "Because… he's just a brawler?" Eleanor asked everyone.
"Hmph. Maybe he's just naive." Eizen said to everyone. "Okay, so he's just a naive brawler. He's still involved with Aifread's disappearance, and he's also taking on the Abbey. I just don't get him." Velvet said to everyone. "Me neither." Eizen said to everyone, with Magilou agreeing with him.
"I agree, but I don't understand any of you either." Eleanor said to everyone. "So long as Zaveid and Fitin stay out of our way, who cares what he does. But we really must get moving before they move even further ahead of us." Zane said to everyone, before they started to walk.
While walking Eleanor was looking at Eizen. "I don't get it." Eleanor said, thinking out loud. "Get what?" Laphicet asked Eleanor. "Why did Aifread let Eizen join his ship, knowing he carried the Reaper's Curse with him? What good did it do? I just don't see the reason behind it." Eleanor said to Laphicet.
"Well, if it were me who had that curse, it would mean that you and Velvet could die because of it, right?" Laphicet asked Eleanor. "Yeah. I suppose so." Eleanor said to Laphicet. "If that's the case, then, I'd feel like… I'd both want to and not want to be close to you two. And… I'd probably really, really hate myself for it." Laphicet
"Do you suppose that's how Eizen feels? But Aifread still took him in. He agreed they'd put up with the curse together." Eleanor said to Laphicet. "It's all a bit hard to fathom." Laphicet said to Eleanor. "Well, if one thing's for certain, it slides like Aifread's a very strong man." Eleanor said to Laphicet, earning a smile from Laphicet.
"At least for a base, lawless pirate." Eleanor said to Laphicet, crossing her arms and walking away from Laphicet.
After a bit more walking, Eleanor and Laphicet walked up to Eizen. "Eizen… can I ask you about that thing Zaveid had?" Laphicet asked Eizen. "It belonged to Aifread, didn't it? I've read much of the Abbey archives on weaponry, but I've never seen anything like it." Eleanor said to Eizen.
"He found it when we crossed the far continent. It's a relic from a long-vanished civilization. He's like me, and can't resist a good treasure. But of everything we've found, that one was his most prized." Eizen said to them.
"What is it?" Laphicet asked Eizen. "I can't say. It seemed like a weapon, but Aifread wouldn't let anyone touch it. He went off and tested it on his own, then came back all grinning, saying he had an ace up his sleeve the next time we got into a fight." Eizen said to Laphicet.
"Then it's definitely some sort of ancient combat device? But why is Zaceid looking for Aifread? To apologize for stealing it?" Eleanor asked Eizen. "He doesn't seem like that much of a gentleman." Eizen said to Eleanor.
"But he really steal it?" Laphicet asked Eizen. "What do you mean?" Eizen asked Laphicet. "It's just my feeling but… Zaveid doesn't seem like the type of malak to steal something so precious." Laphicet said to Eizen.
"He said he just picked it up. Perhaps he's trying to return it." Eleanor said to Eizen. "Perhaps." Eizen said to Eleanor.
After walking for a while, they found a massive tower stuffed into a mountain, with no one around. "No one on guard. They're really not bothering to hide this trap." Magilou said to everyone.
"They probably knew we'd sense it. The question now is just what they're planning to spring on us." Velvet said to everyone. "That or Zaveid is hogging their attention." Zane said to everyone. "Let's find out." Velvet said to everyone, as they entered the tower.
While walking through the empty tower, a question came into Eleanor's head. "Eizen. When and how did Aifread disappear, exactly? And how did you two meet in the first place?" Eleanor asked Eizen.
"You know… You ask an awful lot of questions about us." Eizen asked Eleanor, surprising Eleanor. "What?! I don't mean to pry, really. Perhaps it's… a habit I picked up from my work." Eleanor said to Eizen, trying to cover up the fact that she was trying to learn their weakness. 'Drat! It seems I've been digging too hard!' Eleanor thought, putting her hand on her head.
"No matter. Aifread vanished about a year ago." Eizen said to Eleanor, making Eleanor relax. "He agreed to fight a duel against someone, and secretly left to meet his opponent. Once we figured out what was happening, we rushed to the scene, but all we found was the aftermath of a fight, and a pendulum." Eizen said to Eleanor.
"Was Zaveid his opponent?" Eleanor asked Eizen. "Given his choice of weapon and his ability to fight, I'd say it's likely." Eizen said to Eleanor. "What I don't get is why Aifread would end up captured and imprisoned by the Abbey after a fight with a stary malak." Magilou said to everyone.
"The Abbey had him prisoner?" Eleanor asked everyone, surprised by that fact. "On their island. Until an exorcist named Malchior took him away, that is." Magilou said to Eleanor. "What?! Lord Melchior did?" Eleanor asked everyone, surprised by that as well.
"The Abbey would have captured Aifread about a year ago. Surely it must have caused quite a stir." Eizen said to Eleanor. "I-I was simply patrolling. I wasn't involved in any such operations. Oh! But I do remember that we suffered a great number of casualties around that time. I never heard why, and when I went to investigate I found no record of any major deployment. And then I was ordered to cease any such investigation… by Lord Melchior." Eleanor said to Eizen.
"That's fishy." Eizen said to everyone. "He wanted to hide something, clearly. And I think I'm starting to get a picture of what it was…" Magilou said to everyone. "And… does it involves the Abbey?" Eleanor asked everyone.
"Guys focus, any second, remember we're walking into a trap, so please keep your eyes and ears open. You can talk about Aifread later." Zane said to everyone, with everyone nodding in agreement and got shot up.
After a bit they made it to the top where they found a pirate tied up to a cross. "Aifread." Eizen said, looking at the pirate. "So this is Van Aifread." Velvet said to everyone, as Eizen took a few steps, but Zane raised his arm blocking Eizen from moving.
"Wait, somethings off about this. It's too easy." Zane said to Eizen. "Don't worry. I got this." Eizen said to Zane, as he moved around Zane's arm and walked to Aifread, getting Aifread's attention as he got close.
"Eizen… It's good to see you again." Aifread said to Eizen. "So you're alive. You could've sent a letter." Eizen said to Aifread, making Aifread laugh. "And when have you ever written a letter to another man?" Aifread asked Eizen. "Heh. true… Aside from my little brother, not even once." Eizen said to Aifread.
"Your brother? Ah, yes, you told me that once." Aifread said to Eizen. This caused Eizen to lunge at AIfread and punch Aifread in the gut, surprising everyone. "Eizen… Why?" Aifread asked Eizen. "I've got no brother." Eizen said to Aifread. That's when Aifread faded away, like he wasn't real.
"An illusion." Zane said to everyone. "Enough of your tricks!" Eizen said, as he turned around and saw a young girl with a parasol appeared, and while everyone couldn't see the girl, Eizen got a clear look at her and it surprised her.
But before anything could happen, a burst of green energy hit the girl, and knocked her away, revealing it to be a regular malak. Then everyone turned their heads to see Zaveid and Fitin in a window, with Zaveid's gun smoking.
"Thanks for luring 'em out! I owe ya one." Zaveid said to Eizen, before he and Fitin jumped down to everyone. "Zaveid." Eizen said to Zaveid. "Now come on out, you old coot!" Zaveid called out.
That's when Melchior and Alakazam appeared out of thin air. "Lord Melchior." Eleanor said to Melchior, as Melchior returned the malak to himself. "Breaking through my double illusion… Impressive." Melchior said to everyone.
"I make it a point not to fall for the same tricks twice." Zaveid said to Melchior. "I shouldn't have let you get away last time. I won't make that mistake again." Melchior said to Zaveid, as he called out three malak.
"N-nnghh… What? Why am I here?" The malak Zaveid shot asked everyone. "Her consciousness has returned? So that is its power." Melchior said, looking at Zaveid's gun.
Melchior then made a ball of dark energy and shot it into the back of the malak Zaveid shot, making her scream as dark energy started to burst out of her, and she turned into a wyvern daemon.
"He turned her into a daemon!" Velvet said to everyone. "What?! This can't be happening!" Eleanor said to everyone. "Well it is, and your boss is doing it." Zane said to Eleanor, as Melchior turned the other Malak into wyvern daemons.
The wyvern demons started to fly around everyone, as Melchior and Alakazam teleported to the only exit. "A chain reaction… Your "Reaper's Curse" Is quite the dreadful affliction, isn't it? Come Alakazam." Melchior asked Eizen, before leaving with the Alakazam following him. "Don't you run away!" Zaveid said to Melchior before chasing after Melchior with Fitin following Zaveid.
"Heads up. Wyverns coming!" Mgilou said to everyone, as everyone got ready to fight, and reached for a Pokeball. Zane then let out Eshu, Velvet then let out Empress, Magilou let out Ludo, Eleanor let out Jingle, Laphicet let out Saara, Rokurou let out Saber, and Eizen and Duncan got into a fighting stance.
"Why would an exorcist create a daemon?" Eleanor asked everyone. "Because it's a tool. All you and your order cares about is using things for your own interest. You don't care about any other living thing." Jingle said to Eleanor. "That's not true." Eleanor said to Jingle. "Hey, talk about that later! We've got dragons to take care of!" Rokurou said to Eleanor and Jingle.
"Empress use Attack Order." Velvet said to Empress, as she charged up a fire spell. "Don't tell me what to do." Empress said to Velvet, before firing a swarm of bees made out of green energy came out from her honeycomb dress at one of the wyvern's, hitting the wyvern, making a lot of little explosions.
This caused the wyvern to freeze in place and roar in pain. Then Velvet cast her fire spell at the wyvern, making a large explosion, knocking the wyvern out of the sky and onto the floor.
With Zane, Rokurou, Eizen, and their Pokemon, a wyvern was doing hit and run attacks on them. "Okay I had enough of this. Bite." Duncan said, as he bit into one of the lower wings of the wyvern as it flew past them. This caused Duncan to rip off part of its wing and make it crash.
"Nice work Duncan. Saber use Slash." Rokurou said to Duncan, as he, Zane, and Eizen charged at the wyvern. "And Eshu use Swift." Zane said to Eshu. "On it." Saber and Eshu said, as Saber glowed white, and Eshu whipped yellow stars at the wyvern.
The stars hit first, making many dents around the wings. This made it easy for Rokurou and Saber to slash its wings. Then as Zane ran up its back, potting arrows into it pinning it to the floor, Eizen came up and slammed his fist into its head, knocking it out. "Good work guy." Zane said to everyone.
With Laphciet, Magilou, and Eleanor, they were firing magic spells at the last wyvern, but the wyvern was avoiding their attacks. Then the wyvern tried a dive attack on them. "Confusion." Jingle said, as her eyes glowed pink, and a pink outline appeared on the wyvern.
But the wyvern easily broke the outline, and aimed its dive attack at Jingle. "Jingle!" Eleanor said, as she dropped her spear and grabbed Jingle. Then did a tuck and roll, avoiding most of the wyvern attack, but Eleanor did get hit by its tail, and was sent flying, rolling on the floor, but using her body to protect Jingle.
Once she was done rolling, Eleanor let Jingle go. "You saved me? Why?" Jingle asked Eleanor. "I won't lose anyone else. I've already lost my original malak, and I can't lose my Pokemon either." Eleanor said to Jingle.
"I can't tell if you're a nice person, or think of me as your tool. But thanks for the save." Jingle said to Eleanor, before they heard a roar. The two of them turned their heads to see the wyvern charging at them. "Don't thank me yet." Eleanor said to Jingle.
"Saara use Shelter." Laphciet said to Saara, as he and Magilou started to make a ball of fire and water. "On it." Saara said, as she jumped up, ducked into her shell, and then glowed silver. Saara then hit the wyvern in the side of its head, forcing the wyvern away from Eleanor and Jingle, and making it crash into the floor.
Then as Saara rolled away, Laphciet and Eleanor hit it with their spells, in the face, giving the wyvern a killer headache. "Why don't you go to sleep. Hypnosis." Ludo said to the wyvern, as he let out pink pulses. This put the wyvern to sleep.
"Thanks everyone." Eleanor said to everyone, as Laphiet moved to her and healed her. "No problem Eleanor. I'm just glad you're okay." Laphicet said to Eleanor, as Eleanor stood up.
Now with all of the wyverns laying on the floor, everyone rallied in the middle of the area. And once they all gathered in the middle, Zaveid showed up with Melchior and Mounasami tied up with his pendulum, and Fitin on Zaveid's right shoulder. "Looks like you got caught in your own trap, old man." Zaveid said to Melchior.
"Oh? Are you sure about that?" Melchior asked Zaveid, as he looked at everyone. This made Zaveid turn to see Velvet eat the wyverns the guys took out with her claw, and Zane used his blades on the wyvern Velvet took out, first cutting off its wings, making it scream before slashing off its head, all the while, Zane had a blank look on his face.
"What the?!" Zaveid asked, as he, as well as Eleanor, was surprised by this. "I'll take care of the last one." Velvet said to Zane. "By all means." Zane said, as he moved back, and Velvet took a step forward.
But right as Velvet was about to dig her claws into Wyvern, Zaveid let Melchior and Mounasami go and used his pendulum to force Velvet back and into Empress, with Fitin still on Zaveid's shoulder.
"How dare you! Air Slash!" Empress said to Zaveid, as she forced Velvet off her, and fired a few wind blades at Zaveid and Fitin, but Zaveid fired a few air punches, knocking the wind blades out of the air.
Velvet then charged at Zaveid and tried to slash him with her blades, or crush him with her claw. "Mud-Slap." Fitin said, as she fired a burst of mud into Velvet's face. This caused Velvet to stop and try to rub the mud off her face.
But Zaveid took this chance to try and stick Velvet with his pendulum. "Defende Order." Empress said, before firing a swarm of bees made out of green energy came out from her honeycomb dress. The bees formed a wall, blocking Zaveid's pendulum.
"Attack Order." Empress said, as the bees charged at Zaveid and Fitin, making Zaveid jump around to avoid the bees, but Fitin got hit by the bees, and caused a small explosion, doing some big damage to Fitin.
That's when Velvet finished rubbing the mud off her face, and started to attack Zaveid, with Zaveid dodging her attacks, and trying to hit Velvet with his pendulum, but Velvet kept blocking the pendulum.
This made Empress turn to Fitin, as she shook off the damage he took form Attack Order. "It seems your partner is an actual challenge, while you are nothing but a joke." Empress said to Fitin. "I am not a joke." Fitin said to Empress.
"Your kind is always a joke, you hide in the ground, avoid trouble, only coming up when you find conferences, but if quickly driven back into the ground, by stronger Pokemon like me." Empress said to Fitin.
"You might be a bigger Pokemon, but that doesn't make you stronger, Zaveid taught me a being spirit is what makes you strong. And my spirit isn't weak!" Fitin said to Empress, before glowing light blue, getting everyone's attention.
Fitin's wings grew, gaining an extra large wing on both sides, his legs retracted into little bumps, his arms grew out a little, his head changed shape to a sphere with two short line shape bumps horns, and two bumps on the side of its head.
When the light faded, it showed his body was now black, his wings were white, with three three triangles on the upper wings, yellow armor like head, and the bumps on the side of its head was red.
"Cool! I evolved!" Fiitin said, before flying into the air, and flying around at high speed. "What the? What happened, how can it move like that?" Eleanor asked everyone. "Because he's a Ninjask, a Bug and Flying type. They're known for their speed, getting faster and faster as they fight. And is a common Pokemon of ninja's." Zane said to Eleanor
"And I can prove it with my new move. Double Team!" Fitin said to everyone, as he stopped in front of everyone, before making many copies of himself. Then Fitin and his copies started to fly around everyone like a swarm, and were moving too fast for anyone to knock them out of the sky.
With everyone distracted by Fitin and his copies, Zaveid shot the last wyvern with his gun, making it get up. Then Fitin stopped his Double Team, and everyone saw the wyvern leave.
"He just… saved the wyvern?" Eleanor asked everyone. "But why? There's no reason for him to save what is basically a stranger, and a vicious one at that." Eshu asked everyone.
"You folks jump in and kill without a second thought! Is that your "creed"?" Zaveid asked everyone. "Marvelous. Your "Siegfried" is just the power I've been looking for." Melchior said, his voice echoing, before he and Mounasami appeared behind Zaveid, and Melchior used a spell to scan Zaveid's gun.
"What?" Zaveid asked, as he turned around, only for Melchior and Mounasami to teleport to the exit. "My work here is done." Melchior said to everyone, before he and Mounasami walked away. "What did you do?! Wait!" Zaveid said, as he and Fitin went after Melchior and Mounasami.
"Follow them!" Eizen said, as everyone ran after them. "Where the heck did they gi?!" Rokurou asked everyone, as they didn't know which way they went after they left the area, and stopped.
"Find them. They can't have gotten far." Eizen said to everyone. "Melchior said he was done here. So he must be heading for the exit, let's go there." Zane said to Eizen. "Good idea." Eizen said to Zane, before they ran to the exit.
Once they got to the exit and went outside, they found Zaveid and Fitin looking around. "He's sure got some speedy legs for an old fart." Zaveid said to Fitin. "Well he can teleport, so he's cheating when it comes to running." Fitin said to Zaveid.
"I'm glad to see you're OK, Zavied." Laphicet said to Zaveid. "It's not me that I'm worried about." Zaveid said to Laphicet. "Melchior was highly interested in your weapon. And yet, he didn't steal it. Surely a legate like him could snatch it if he wanted to." Velvet said to Zaveid. "Or make his Alakazam pull it out of hands with his psychic powers." Zane said to Zaveid.
"Why bother stealing it… when you can just copy its hidden formula?" Magilou asked, making everyone look at her. "Explain Magilou?" Zane asked Magilou. "Some artes can decipher the working of other artes in a split second. And guess what Melchior's specialty is." Magilou said to everyone. "We don't need to. It's clear his artes is on a different level from other exorcists, like Eleanor." Zane said to Magilou.
"And when he left, he said, "My work here is done"." Eleanor said to everyone. "The Abbey Must have some use for that unknown arte. Who knows what? After all, they brought it here from another continent." Magilou said to everyone.
"Hmph! Then we'll find out what they're after and crush it to dust!" Zaveid said to everyone, as Eizen walked up to him. "Let me ask you just one question. Why do you have Siegfried?" Eizen asked Zavied.
"I'm counting on you, he said. Back when I served the exorcists, they sent me on a mission to capture Aifread." Zaveid said to Eizen. "Zaveid, you were once their slave?" Laphicet asked Zaveid.
"Yeah. My mind was under their influence of Innominat's domain. But when Aifread aimed this baby at me. One shot was all it took to open my eyes. The fight we had after that was one for the books." Zaveid said to Eizen, as he looked at his gun.
"He might've been a human, but that guy was a beast. Put a song in my soul." Zaveid said to Eizen, making Eizen smile. "But then Melchior had to jump in and spirit Aifread away with one of his illusions. That old man, playing tricks with people's minds!" Zaveid said to everyone, before turning away from everyone.
"But why'd he grab Aifread, and not Siegfried when he had the chance?" Rokurou asked Zaveid. "He probably didn't know at the time that this guy was the real prize he was after." Zaveid said to Rokurou, showing off the gun.
"But Aifread knew. Right before he was taken, he distracted Melchior long enough to hand Siegfried over to me." Zaveid said to everyone, before putting the gun away. "Well, that's all I know. Whether you believe me or not is up to you." Zaveid said to Eizen. "Got it. We're done here." Eizen said to Zaveid, before walking away.
"Huh? That was easy." Zaveid said. "Aifread only says. "I'm counting on you," to people he trusts." Eizen said to Zaveid, his back facing Zaveid. "Is that so." Zaveid asked Eizen.
"So what are you and Fitin gonna do now?" Rokurou asked Zaveid. "Gonna keep looking for Aifread. Still gotta give this back and settle our score. And train Fitin a every now and then now that he's evolved into his new form." Zaveid said to Rokurou.
"I doubt you have much time left to get that done." Velvet said to Zaveid. "I'd hazard a guess that until now, Melchior was unaware what Siegfried could really do. In other words, he and the exorcists weren't able to "interrogate" anything out of their captive." Magilou said to Zaveid. "And now Aifread's no longer needed, I see no reason for them to keep him alive." Velvet said to Zaveid.
"You think I don't know that?" Zaveid asked Velvet, gritting his teeth. "If you really want to save Aifread, you probably ought to team up with us." Eleanor said to Zaveid. "Nope. No can do." Zaveid said to Eleanor.
"Why not?" Eleanor asked Zaveid. "You lot will do anything to achieve your goals. Even kill." Zaveid said to everyone, surprising everyone a little. "Sorry. I'm a fighter, not a killer. I won't steal a single life. That's just MY creed." Zaveid said to everyone.
"And I've got no intention of changing our pirate creed, either." Eizen said to Zaveid, before Zaveid and Fitin started to leave.
"Eizen and Zaveid have their own creeds… They both have such strong principles, even though they're so different." Laphicet said to everyone. "Just like humans." Eleanor said to everyone. "No matter what their creeds are, we're done here. Let's get back to the ship and start heading for the Yseult archipelago." Velvet said to everyone.
"Before that." Zane said to Velvet, before turning to Magilou. "Magilou, a red light went into one of our Pokeballs when Fitin evolved, may I?" Zane asked Magilou. "Here you go." Magilou said to Zane, handing him her Pokeball.
Zane started to examine the Pokeball, and found nothing wrong with it. "Well it looks fine. So what was the red light?" Zane asked, as he opened the Pokeball.
That's when a blue light came out of the Pokeball. When the light faded, everyone noticed a two foot big oval thing, with its body being gray, a bump at the bottom, two tiny bumps that could be legs, large tan bumps that could be it's arms, a tan head with a big bump going down the middle of its head, two tiny horns on the top, bumps of the side of it's head with a hole and line in it, it's back had a massive hole and two wings that was made of three uneven spikes, almost like something burst out of it, and floating above its head was a white ring that looked like a cricket moon if you looked at it form above.
"What is that?" Eleanor asked everyone, as everyone looked at the Pokemon. "I actually have no idea. I've never seen a Pokemon like this." Zane said to everyone. "Do you know what it is, Empress?" Laphicet asked Empress.
"I know many Bug Type Pokemon. But, even I have never seen anything like this." Empress said to Laphicet, as the Pokemon agreed with Empress. "So does that mean we just discovered a new Pokemon?" Lapchiet asked everyone.
"Cool! It's mine. So I get to name it. Let's see…" Magilou said to everyone, before giving the Pokemon a closer look. "Well, you look like just a bug shed's husk, and since you probably came from that ninja bug, I'm going to call your kind, Shedinja. And your personal name will be Zeah." Magilou said to the Pokemon, before grabbing it.
"Everyone say hello to your new teammate." Magilou said to the Pokemon, as she started to show Zeah off to them. But Zeah creeped everyone out. "Keep that thing away from me. Attack Order!" Empress said to Magilou, before firing a swarm of bees made out of green energy came out from her honeycomb dress at Zeah.
This caused Magilou to raise Zeah up like a shield, as the bees hit Zeah. but when the bees hit Zeah, nothing happened. "What?" Magilou asked, as everyone was now confused. "My attack, it didn't work." Empress said to everyone.
"Interesting. While some type can take no damage, like how a ghost can't get hurt by a Fighting Type attack. They're no type that resists Bug Type attacks. Even if the attack was something it could resist, it still would do damage, the fact that it did nothing is unheard of." Zane said to everyone.
"This thing just keeps getting more interesting. Try more attacks on it." Magilou said to everyone, as she put Zeah down. "If you say so. Psybeam." Ludo said to Magilu, as he fired a purple beam that moved in a zig zag wave. But when the wave hit Zeah, nothing happened again.
"Can we really not hit it?" Ludo asked everyone. "Let me try. Dragon Breath." Duncan said, as he let out a surge of teal energy. But once again, nothing happened when it hit Zeah.
"Let's try some water. Water Pulse." Saara said, as she fired a ball of water at Zeah. but all it did was making Zeah wet, and show no sign of taking any damage form that,
"It has to have a weakness. Swift." Eshu said, as he whipped his tail at Zeah, firing yellow stars at Zeah, but unlike the other attacks, the stars went right through Zeah.
"See that's what I was talking about, the only way to avoid damage if your opponent is using a normal type attack is to be a Ghost Type. which I guess Zeah is." Zane said to everyone
"Then let's see if we can make it move. Confusion." Jingle said, as her eyes glowed pink. A pink outline appeared on Zeah, but quickly faded away.
"Seriously, what does it take to hurt this thing?" Jingle asked everyone. "Nothing. The amazing Magilou has an invincible Pokemon and there is nothing that can stop Zeah." Magilou said to everyone, cheering a little.
"We'll see about that. Aerial Ace." Saber said, as he disappeared and then reappeared above Zeah, and slammed his blade into Zeah. But unlike the other attacks, a second after Saber moved away from Zeah, Zeah fell to the ground.
"What just happened?" Magilou asked everyone. "My guess, Aerial Ace was super effected and it couldn't negate that attack. And given how it looks, I guess it can't take a hit." Zane said to everyone.
"So Zeah is strong against moves that aren't super effected on it?" Laphicet asked Zane. "Most likely, and given that it came from Fitin and we know it's a Ghost type. I think Zeah is a Bug and Ghost Type. That means he can only be hurt by Fire, Flying, Rock, Ghost, and Dark moves." Zane said to everyone. "So as long as it's not one of those attacks, Zeah is a Wonder Guard. I can work with that." Magilou said to everyone.
"If you're all done playing around, let's go. We wasted enough time here." Velvet said to everyone, an annoyed tune in her voice. "Fine, we're going, we're going." Zane said to Velvet, as they started to head towards the ship.

And if you're wondering why the ending was showing Zeah the Shedinja here, well, I didn't know when would be a good time to show Zeah off, and it's one of the Pokemon I really wanted Magilou to have. And is part of the reason I gave Zaveid a Nicade, cause I think a Ninjask would work with him.
