Hello everyone, sorry for the wait, life has been problematic recently, work has been working crazy hours, my family dog died 3/22/24(I'm writing that down for me so I can always remember the date, and I have hardly been able to get some time to work on my stories.

I've also been finishing up work on a side Project. It's a side story called White Dragon's Case: The Crimson Love Letter Story, it's a Case Closed and my The Black and White Dragon Prince story crossover. I go into more details in chapter 32 of The Black and White Dragon Prince story, so you can check out the details there.

Now let's get to chapter 12.

Chapter 12

A Sandy Meeting

While walking back to the ship, Magilou started to complain. "Well, that was sure something, Melchior and his illusions are cheats!" Magilou said to everyone. "There's no "cheating" in combat." Velvet said to Magilou. "What I meant is that they were awfully dirty tricks for an "upstanding exorcist"." Magilou said to everyone.

"And the illusion seemed so real. Had that gone one nay longer. I wouldn't have been able to tell what was real and what was fake." Rokurou said to everyone. "Sounds like he would give my kind a run for their money." Eshu said to everyone.

"If it can't be distinguished from reality, perhaps one could live a happier life within the illusion." Magilou said to everyone. "Hmph. That sort of happiness can rot." Eizen said to everyone.

"You think so?" Magilou asked Eizen. "He's not wrong. At first the illusion would be great, but over time it would just make you feel worse. Because no matter how much you want it, an illusion can never fill the hole in your heart. That's a lesson our elders tell us young ones, when we're practicing our illusions. And must only use illusions to hide or to get the upper hand on our enemies." Eshu said to everyone.

"But by using illusions, you can defeat an opponent without causing them any physical harm." Eleanor said to everyone. "Oh, how humane. Wow, the Abbey is so great." Velvet said to Eleanor, with a mocking tune in her voice.

"Lord Melchior is an exemplary man who has served Lord Artorious before the Abbey's founding. He's done everything from logistical planning to defense strategy and even political negotiations. He shows the utmost concern, even for his opponents, so…" Eleanor said to everyone, before Velvet interrupted her.

"He turned a friendly malak into a dragon." Velvet said to Eleanor. "Th-That was…" Eleanor said, but was interrupted by Eshu. "His true nature. Another lesson our elders teach our kind is, a good illusion will make anyone believe anything. Melchior has been using his illusions to hide what he's really like, making everyone think he's the great man you think, but everything he did was all part of his plans. That's the true power of illusions, it doesn't hurt the body, but it can rip apart the mind." Eshu said to Eleanor.

"Physical wounds can heal. Emotional wounds never fully fade." Magilou said to Eleanor. "Yeah… But…" Eleanor said, but stopped talking when a sad look appeared on her face.

"Don't lose heart, Eleanor. Foul play is foul play, but you're talking to a daemon, a trickster fox, and a witch. Who can judge?" Rokurou said to Eleanor, acting proud. "I appreciate that you're trying to console me, but as an exorcist, I cannot accept this." Eleanor said to Rokurou.

"Can't accept that Rokurou is being nice or that or that Melchior isn't that good of a man?" Zane asked Eleanor. "Let's just get to the ship." Eleanor said to everyone, as she walked ahead of everyone.

After a bit of walking, they reach the ship, with their Pokemon in their Pokeballs. "First Mate You're all right!" Benwick said, as he noticed everyone, and ran up to them. "Sorry to worry you." Eizen said to Benwick. "And the captain?" Benwick asked Eizen.

"It turned out to be a fake. But now I know the real one's still alive somewhere." Eizen said to Benwick. "Well, of course he is!" Benwick said to Eizen. "Not that he had a lot of time left!" Magilou said, as she walked right between Eizen and Benwick.

"What do you mean?" Benwick asked Magilou, getting worried. "Calm down. I'll explain later." Eizen said to Benwick. "E-Eizen… Y… You stay calm too. OK?" Laphicet said to Eizen, his voice low, but getting Eizen's attention. Eizen smiled at Laphicet and nodded yes.

"And you've all taken your sale'tomah?" Eizen asked his crew. "Yes, sir!" Benwick said to Eizen. "And nobody died?" Eizen asked Benwick. "All still kicking." Benwick said to Eizen, before smiling.

"Compared to your curse, sir, this sickness was tiny potatoes!" A crewman said to Eizen. "All right, then let's get ready to sail out." Eizen said to everyone. "Already done, sir! We're ready whenever!" Another crewman said to Eizen, making everyone laugh.

"The pirate's creed, huh?" Velvet asked, thinking out loud. "There's worse out there." Magilou said to everyone. "Yeah, we could have Rokurou sailing the ship." Zane said to everyone. "Isn't that the truth." Rokurou said, sounding proud before laughing.

Then everyone started to get onto the ship, with Eleanor being the last one to get into the ship.

After sailing for a bit, Eleanor walked away from everyone while they talked. "It's too bad that wasn't the real Aifread… But I'm glad everyone on the ship is feeling better." Laphicet said to Eizen. "Yeah. Though it sounds like they never want to touch that sale'tomah stuff ever again." Ezien said to Laphicet, making Laphicet laugh.

"What about Eleanor?" Velvet asked Laphicet. "She took it, too, and her face went all… "Mggahgh"!" Laphicet said to Velvet. "I don't mean how she looked. I mean how she actually feels." Velvet asked Laphicet. "Oh… Well, she looks like she feels better, too." Laphicet said to Velvet.

"Good." Velvet said to Laphicet. "You're worried about her, aren't you, Velvet?" Laphicet asked Velvet, surprising Velvet. "No, it's nothing like that." Velvet said to Laphicet, making Laphicet lower his head.

"Let me tell you something, kiddo: When young maidens ripen, they have trouble expressing their feelings." Magilou said to Laphicet. "So Velvet's… ripened?" Laphicet asked Magilou.

"Magilou! Quit giving Laphicet confusing thoughts!" Velvet said to Magilou, getting mad, but Magilou laughed at this. "No trouble expressing THOSE feelings, I see!" Magilou said to Velvet, before walking away.

"Anyone want to bet how much longer until Velvet kills Magilou?" Zane asked Rokurou and Eizen.

Meanwhile Eleanor looked at everyone from the other end of the ship, before pulling out a pocket mirror. Then the memories of the bug and of Melchior flashed in her mind.

'The Abbey is supposed to exist to bring peace and order to the world. Everything the Abbey does, everything Lord Melchior and Shepherd Artorius do, it ought to be rooted in that mission. And yet… something doesn't feel right here.' Eleanor thought before remembering how Artorius turned her down when she asked for more information.

That's when Zane and Rokurou walked up to Eleanor. "Somethin' wrong?" Rokurou asked Eleanor, surprising her, and made her put her mirror away before turning to everyone, looking mad at her. "Whoa, easy there. Just askin'." Rokurou said to Eleanor.

"S-sorry, I was just deep in thought. Is there something you need from me?" Eleanor asked them. "Wondering if you want to place your bet on how much longer until Velvet kills Magilou." Zane said to Eleanor. "Not even a daemon, and you're just as bad as them." Eleanor said Zane, as she turned away from them.

"Hey." Rokurou said to Eleanor. "What?" Eleanor asked Rokurou. "Are you afraid of daemons?" Rokurou asked Eleanor. "No! I- I am not! It's more like I… despise them." Eleanor said to Rokurou, still not looking at them.

"And the reason why?" Zane asked Eleanor. "Ten years ago, a group of them attacked my village. They destroyed everything and everyone." Eleanor said to everyone, still not looking at them. "Including your family?" Rokurou asked Eleanor.

"Yes. The only family I had at that point was my mother, and in all the chaos, she…" Eleanor said to them, still not looking at them, but started to cry. "She gave her life to save yours." Zane said to Eleanor.

"Yes. Now, all I have left of her is this hand mirror she gave me. I didn't want anyone else to have to feel the way I did. And so I became an exorcist in order to destroy daemons." Eleanor said to Zane, still not looking at him, but pulling out the mirror.

Zane then moved closer to Eleanor. "I kinda know what you've been through. When I was young people raided my village as well. They killed everyone and stole everything, and all because they wanted our food and stuff. My parents tried to get me to safety, but that's when my uncle revealed he was the one of the raiders, and couldn't let us live and tell anyone about this. He killed my parents, and had it not been my parents fighting back as they died, I wouldn't have gotten my running start and gotten away." Zane said to Eleanor.

"Is that you're such a bad person, because you grew up to take revenge on your uncle?" Eleanor asked Zane. "Didn't need to. My uncle chased after me. But we ran into some wild Pokemon, and after seeing us, they realized what was going on, and killed my uncle. Once he was dead, they helped me. That's when I learned Pokemon are better company than humans." Zane said to Eleanor, leaning against the railing of the deck.

"Is this a way to show sympathy?" Eleanor asked Zane, putting the mirror away. "A little bit. But I'm mostly feeling pity for you. You lost your family to bad people like me, and then after that, you ran into the arms of another group of bad guys, while I isolated myself from people." Zane said to Eleanor.

"How dare you. I lost my mother to daemons, and the Abbey aren't bad guys." Eleanor said to Zane. "Keep lying to yourself." Zane said to Eleanor. "You know what. Keep your pity, I don't need it. I don't need sympathy from you either." Eleanor said to Zane, before walking away.

A few hours later they reached a port that was made into a seaside cave with many of the buildings on stilts and platforms over the water and a few made on platforms on the beach.

"What is that?!" Laphicet asked, and everyone noticed a fluffy penguin creature. "That's called a pengyon. A type of bird native to this area." Eleanor said to Laphicet. "Pengyon." Laphicet said, looking at the creature.

"Their meat is succulent and tender, and makes a lovely stew!" Eleanor said to everyone. "Wow, what's it taste like?" Laphicet asked Eleanor, still looking at the Pengyon. "You'd eat that poor thing? Savage." Velvet said to everyone.

"You're one to talk, daemon." Eleanor said to Velvet. "Ladies, play nice in front of Laphicet. But why would you eat that animal?" Zane said to Eleanor and Velvet, and asked Eleanor.

"It was one of my mother's specialties." Eleanor said to Zane, sounding sad. "Well, if we have the time, maybe we can find some and you can cook it for us." Zane said to Eleanor. "Like I'd cook anything for you." Eleanor said to Zaen, sounding annoyed.

"All right, enough of the chit-chat." Eizen said to everyone, getting their attention. "Magilou. What's this Grimoirh friend of yours like?" Eizen asked Magilou. "Hmm… Well, how do I put it?" Magilou said to Eizen, before acting like nothing excites her. "Ya know, like that." Magilou said to Eizen. "Like what?" Rokurou asked Magilou.

"Hmph! Well, to put it in a way those of meager imagination can understand. Grim's got a sort of listless aristocratic air about her. A noblewoman in her twilight, you could say." Magilou said to everyone.

"Huh… So you mean, like, a woman, but different from Velvet and Eleanor?" Laphicet asked Magilou, making Rokurou laugh. "You're not wrong there. Tell you want, just keep an eye out for a grown woman." Rokurou said to Laphicet.

"A… grown woman. Okay, I got it." Laphicet said to Rokurou. "Something tells me that it won't be so easy to find this Grimoirh but just knowing she's someone in her twilight years." Zane said to everyone.

"Well, since we got her name, we could start by asking around." Eizen said to everyone. "Exactly! Now you're talking!" Magilou said to Eizen, as Laphicet looked at Magilou. "What's up, kiddo?" Magilou asked Laphicet.

"Magilou? You're a grown woman yourself. So why is it you have trouble clearly expressing your feelings?" Laphicet asked Magilou. "Gooood question. Put simply, a long time ago, mine broke. Bagow! Chapoom! Bye-bye!" Magilou said to Maphicet, as she turned away from her.

"Your feelings… broke?" Laphicet asked Magilou, getting confused. "It means, her feelings are all over the place, and try not to think about it." Zane said to Laphicet. "Come on. Let's question the townsfolk." Velvet said to everyone, as they started to walk.

While walking around for a while, and talking to a handful of people. They found no sign of Grimoirh. "Still no leads on that Grimoirh lady." Rokurou said to everyone. "Magilou. When did you get that letter from her you mentioned?" Velvet asked Magilou.

"Hmm, hard to say. It must have been… last year? A decade ago?" Magilou said to Velvet, putting her hands on her head. "Take this seriously or I'll feed you to the sharks." Eizen said to Magilou. "Like Magilou could sound serious about anything." Zane said to Eizen.

"Eizen if you're going to feed me too something. Can't you make it a Kraken, I think I at least rate that." Magilou said to Eizen. "See what I mean." Zane said to Eizen, as they all stopped walking. "Knock it off all of you. Keep this up and I swear I'lll eat-" Velvet said to everyone, as she turned around and stopped talking.

The reason is she saw Teresa, Oscar, and John walking across the street ahead of them. "It's them!" Velvet said to everyone, as they took cover.

That's when Teresa, Oscar, and John stopped. "The final preparations are complete. Once you've assumed your new post, everyone will act on your command." Teresa said to Oscar. "Thank you, sister. But to be honest, I worried that these shoes I'm filling might just be a bit too big for me." Oscar said to Teresa.

"You need not worry. You possess a special strength and quality that others lack. Shepherd Artorius has high hopes for your deployment to Palamedes. Fear not. Just be yourself, and you'll do fine. Believe you're a leader, and you will be." Teresa said to Oscar. "Yes. I'll try to make you proud, Sister." Oscar said to Teresa, making Teresa smile.

'They're sending him to Palmedes? Is that the name of a facility on this island?' Eleanor asked herself, lost in thought.

"I had better get going." Teresa said to Oscar. "Safe travel." Oscar said to Teresa, before Teresa left. "Oh, one more thing. Be careful around the daemon in Haria. It's stronger than it looks. We've even had some casualties." Teresa said to Oscar, as she stopped and turned to him.

"Understood. I've been putting John through some hard training so he can be a decent distraction for me." Oscar said to Teresa, before Teresa walked away.

But then Teresa stopped again. "Also, if you must drink the water, remember to boil it." Teresa said to Oscar, not looking at him. "Sister…" Oscar said to Teresa, sounding a little embarrassed.

"I know, I know, I worry too much. But I just can't help myself." Teresa said to Oscar, before leaving for good. Soon Oscar left as well with John following him.

"So there's a daemon in Haria. Sounds like it's a pretty feisty one, too." Rokurou said to everyone. "If so, it may prove useful." Velvet said to everyone. "Let's focus on Grimoirh. This daemon isn't going to be of any use to us." Zane said to everyone.

"Still, what magical timing for Oscar to show up here at the very same hour we do." Magilou said to everyone, as they all came out of hiding. "You're thinking this didn't happen by chance do you?" Zane asked Magilou, as everyone turned to Eleanor.

"I understand your suspicion of me. But have you any proof?" Eleanor asked everyone. "None, it's true. But as an exorcist, you're certainly sympathetic to the Abbey's cause." Velvet said to Eleanor. "And soon you may wish WE were sympathetic." Magilou said to Eleanor.

This made Eleanor go quiet. "Eleanor hasn't been snitching on us. I'm sure of it." Laphicet said to everyone. "And how would you know? Are you watching her even when she's taking a bath?" Magilou asked Laphicet. "Huh?!" A shocked Eleanor and Laphicet asked Magilou.

"No, I don't… I… I always stay outside when she's taking a bath… and…" Laphicet said to Magilou, but was interrupted by Zane. "Enough. We don't care how you two deal with privacy. Besides, we're just pulling her leg. After all, if she really did betray us, Oscar would have us surrounded with an army, not just walk past us." Zane said to Laphicet.

"Zane has a point. If she was ratting us out, we'd already be swarmed by Exorcists." Rokurou said to everyone. "Let's just focus on finding Grimoirh and get out of here before we clash with the Abbey." Eizen said to everyone.

"I just thought of something. What if the daemon is attacking Grimoirh!" Laphicet said to everyone. "It's true. Let's find some more people to question around town." Velvet said to everyone, before everyone but Eleanor started to walk. Once they were out of ear shot, Eleanor let out a sigh of relief, before going after the other.

While walking around Magilou suddenly ran into a shop. The shop had on display a handful of brown creatures that looked like Bienfu, but had a witch hat on its head and tiny glasses on its nose.

"Hey! This doll… It looks like Bienfu." Laphicet said to everyone. "Ah, a keen eye you have, young man! That is a doll of the Empyrean Amenoch!" The shopkeeper said to Laphicet. "That's… Empyrean Amenoch?" Eleanor asked the shopkeeper.

"Yep, no doubt about it! I've seen her with my own eyes. Real dignified, but not without a bit of a temper." The shopkeeper said to Eleanor. "You saw her? Why was she angry?" Velvet asked the shopkeeper.

"Well, the Abbey banned any profession of Amenochian faith in Southgand, despite her popularity. Got to assume that's what got her all bent out of shape. I tired talking to her, but no matter what I said, she was just like, "sigh" "siiiiigh" "Oh"..." The shopkeeper said to everyone.

"Wait, that sounds like-!" Laphicet said to everyone, before going quiet. "Like how Magilou explain Grimoirh." Zane said to everyone. "And that low-energy goddess you saw, the doll you've got here looks like her?" Magilou asked the shopkeeper.

"Yeah, more or less." The shopkeeper said to Magilou. "Hah! Fortune smiles upon thee, weary adventures! That listless goddess is none other than Grim!" Magilou said to everyone.

"Grimoirh isn't human?!" Rokurou asked Magilou. "When did I ever say she was?" Magilou asked Rokurou, earning a hit on the back of the head from Zane. "You should have. We thought we were looking for a human, not a Bienfu-like creature." Zane said to Magilou.

"Details, details." Magilou said to Zane. "So, shopkeep, where'd you see her?" Magilou asked the shopkeeper. "I think it was down by Maclir Beach." The shopkeeper said to Magilou. "Pensively watching the tide come in? That's her, all right! Quickly, to the beach!" Magilou said to everyone, before running away, making Velvet sigh.

A few minutes later, everyone caught up to Magilou. "Why didn't you mention Grimoirh's a malak before now?" Velvet asked Magilou, sounding mad. "You can't be too careful with that information. Spies! Spies listening everywhere!" Magilou said to Velvet, her eyes pointing to Eleanor.

After a bit of walking, they reached Maclir Beach, which was a large area that looked like it could be underwater when the sea is stormy. "Beautiful waters. So this is Maclir Beach." Rokurou said to everyone. "I hope she's actually here." Laphicet said to everyone, as they started to look around.

"This Grimoirh who we're searching for is a malak like Bienfu, right? To be honest, I don't see how someone so different can be a malak just the same as Laphicet or Eizen." Velvet said to Magilou, as Bienfu came out of Magilou. "I understand your doubts. It's quite the tangly mess." Magilou said to Velvet. "I'll tell you anything!" Bienfu said to Velvet.

"In that case, I've been wondering… What's underneath your hat?" Velvet asked Bienfu, startling Bienfu. "Ohhh noooo! Anything but that!" Bienfu said to Velvet, a look of panic on his face. "So we've hit a wall already." Velvet said, a flat look on her face.

"But that ribbon flaps around and gets in the way, right? Could I take it off for you?" Rokurou asked Bienfu. "No! No! That's not possible! You mustn't remove the ribbon!" Bienfu said to Rokurou, panicking even more. "Why not?" Laphicet asked Beinfu. "That's another thing I can't say!" Beinfu said to everyone.

"It's all "can't" with you. All right, is there anything you can tell me?" Velvet asked Beinfu, an annoyed look on her face. "I could talk about what type of malakhim we are, or our position in the world of malakhim, or our abilities." Bienfu said to Velvet.

"Oh, I'd like to know all that." Laphicet said to Bienfu. "Then I will tell you. Listen closely. We normin are a well-established race of malakhim. Compared to other malakhim, we aren't as adept at manipulating natural forces, but we excel at drawing out and heightening the abilities of others." Bienfu said to Laphicet.

"Think of them as convenient power-up." Magilou said to everyone. "They're also known as common spirits." Eizen said to everyone. "Don't even say that! We normin hate being called that!" Bienfu said to Eizen, with a painful look on his face. "Why is it so painful for you?" Eleanor asked Bienfu.

"Because it makes people think we're average and unremarkable. That's why we work so hard to show how we're all different." Bienfu said to Eleanor. "That does explain your quirky speaking mannerisms." Eleanor said to Bienfu.

"Don't sweat it. That's a perfectly common thing to worry about." Rokurou said to Bienfu. "Bieeeeeen! Don't say that!" Bienfu said to Rokurou, as he started to cry.

"Okay enough picking on Bienfu. Let's focus and find Grimoirh. She's gotta be here somewhere." Zane said to everyone, before they started to walk around the breach.

While walking through the desert, Laphicet noticed a small stick standing up and moving around in the sand. "Uh?" Laphicet said, as he moved to the stick. "What is this?" Laphicet asked, as he pulled up the stick, pulling up a pile of sand that was a little over a foot and half, with a moving hole on the side, and grey pebbles for eyes with a black outline around the pebbles.

"Hey, hands off." the sand said to Laphicet, with a male voice, as it forced its stick out of Laphicet's hand. "What is that?" Rokuoru asked, as they looked at the pile of sand. "I'm a Sandygast, a Ghost and Ground Type. and my kind prefers if you didn't touch the stick on our heads." The pile of sand said to Rokurou.

"Sorry." Laphicet said to Sandygast. "Hey, have you seen a creature that looks kinda-like this one?" Magilou asked Sandygast, pointing to Bienfu. "Maybe. But why should I tell you?" Sandygast asked everyone.

That's when Zane stomped his foot in front of Sandygast, splashing sand into Sandygast's face, not dealing any damage but disorienting Sandygast. "Because if you don't you'll be stomped on, and I'm sure it'll be an inconvenience to you if you have to pull yourself together." Zane said to Sandygast.

"Well, when you put it like that. Follow me. I lead you to the last place I saw a creature like that one." Sandygast said to everyone, as she pointed to Bienfu, before leading the way for everyone.

After a bit of walking, Dykuma led them to a log, where the real Grimoirh was sitting on a log with a book on her back, looking at the ocean, with many dead monsters around her. "Is that?" Velvet asked everyone. "Grimoirh?!" Laphicet asked everyone. "What happened here?" Eleanor asked everyone.

That's when something burst out of the sand. When the sand clear there was a large dark blue creature standing on two legs with three sharp claws for toes, two bumps like blade on the front of the upper legs, a the front of it body and lower jaw was red, a round cone shape rear end with a small fin on the back of it, a few tiny sharp teeth, black eyed with yellow iris, skinny arms with a long white claw at the end of it and a fin on the lower part of the arms, on the back was a large fin, and attached on the side of it's head was two ovals.

"Thieves. Thieves come to steel Grimoirh. No one steals Veda's friend." the creature said to everyone, with a female voice. "Thieves? We're not thieves." Laphicet said to Veda.

"No, you thieves and you pay for coming to steal my friend. Dig!" Veda said, as she dived into the ground. Then Veda's back fin popped out of the ground, and rushed everyone.

"A land shark?" Laphicet asked everyone, as they ran around, dodging the fin. "Close, it's a Gabite, a Dragon and Ground Type. be careful. These Pokemon are known for hoarding crystals and attacking people that think it's a good idea to cross them." Zane said to everyone.

"But they're not a crystal around here." Eleanor said to Zane, as they dodged Veda's fin. "Well I've heard about how some fools think friendship is a treasure, so she probably got it mixed up." Zane said to Eleanor.

"Enough with this nonsense, let's just get her!" Velvet said to everyone. "You heard her Carver. Forces her out of the ground with Stone Axe." Rokurou said, as he let out Carver. "If you say so?" Carver said, as he slammed his axes into the ground, forcing Veda out of the ground, with a couple rocks in Veda.

"You're such a pain. Sand Tomb." Veda said, as a vortex of sand came out of the ground around Carver, trapping Carver and pricing him with all the sand.

"Eleanor, I would advise you to bring out Winter. Her kind can't handle ice types all that well." Zane said to Eleanor, as Laphicet let out Fury, Eizen let out Duncan, Magilou let out Zeah, and Velvet let out Empress. "If it can put an end to this fight quickly, very well." Eleanor said to Zane, as she let out Winter.

"Winter use Powder Snow." Eleanor said to Winter. "Okay." Winter said, as she fired a burst of cold wind and snow at Veda. The cold hit Veda, but before the snow hit him, she drove into the ground.

Everyone then looked around, trying to figure out where she was. But that's when Veda came bursting out of the ground under Eleanor and Winter, sending them flying. "Empress use Attack Order." Velvet said to Empress. "With pleasure." Empress said, before firing a swarm of bees made out of green energy came out from her honeycomb dress at Veda.

But Veda was able to dodge the bees, and rushed Magilou. "Dragon Claw!" Veda said, as her claws encashed in teal energy. "AH! Zeah, protect me and use Mud-Slap." Magilou said to Zeah, as she held Zeah in front of herself as a human shield.

Then Veda started to slash Zeah, but it did nothing, which surprised Veda. Then Zeah fired a ball of mud into Veda's face, blinding her. "What is that thing?" Veda asked, as she rubbed her face.

"Duncan us Dragon Breath!" Eizen said to Duncan. "On it." Duncan said, as he fired a surge of teal energy at Veda. The energy hit Veda and sent her flying a little.

"Fury, try to stop her with Dragon Tail." Laphicet said to Fury. "With pleasure." Fury said to Laphicet, as his tail was encased in teal energy, and he charged at Veda.

But that's when Veda recovered and noticed Furry charging at her. "Dragon Claw." Veda said, as her claws became encased in teal energy. Veda then used one of her claws to block Fury's tail, and used her other claw to slash Fury, and knock Fury back.

"She's good." Zane said to everyone. "Well, I'm clearly of no help here. So I'll be going." Sandygast said to everyone, as he started to leave. "You're not going anywhere." Zane said to Sandygast.

"Come one like I can do anything to that Pokemon." Sandygast said to Zane. "I think you can, Dykuma." Zane said to Sandygast. "I'm sorry, what?" Sandygast asked Zane. "Dykuma, that's your name. Consider this your trial run." Zane said to Sandygast.

"Trail run for what?" Dykuma asked Zane. "To be one of my Pokemon, a living pile of sand could be useful." Zane said to Dykuma. "Yeah, no. I want nothing to do with you people." Dykuma said to Zane. "Too bad." Zane said to Dykuma, as he threw a Pokeball at Dykuma, catching him.

"Now then let's see what you can do." Zane said, as he let out Dykuma. "You can't be serious about this?" Dykuma asked Zane, getting annoyed. "You either fight, or I leave this Pokeball in the middle of nowhere with you inside it." Zane said to Dykuma.

"Well, when you put it like that. Fine. Confuse Ray." Dykuma said to Zane, before firing a few balls of light at Veda, hitting her, and making her confused with Torchic's running around her head.

"Now, Giga Drain." Dykuma said, as Veda glowed green, and green energy orbs flew out of her and into Dykuma, making her feel weaker.

"Slash." Veda said, as her claws glowed white, and she slashed her legs, sending a jolt of pain into her head, clearing up the confusion.

"Now Sand Tomb!" Veda said, as a vortex of sand came out of the ground around Dykuma, but Dykuma didn't affect this much.

"Sorry, but this attack doesn't do much to me. But if you want to play with sand. Then take this. Scorching Sand!" Dykuma said, as he fired a ball of red hot sand at Veda. and while it did hit her, it didn't do much damage, but it left a burn.

"And now that you're burned. Hex." Dykuma said, as he let out a burst of black energy. This made purple flames form around Veda that let out black energy that buzzed around Veda, but then the burn on Veda glowed purple, and caused a very sharp pain for Veda. This made Veda fall to her right knee.

"Not bad." Zane said, impressed a little by Dykuma, as Veda stood up. "I'M GOING TO MAKE YOU PAY FOR THAT!" Veda yelled at Dykuma. "Veda, that's enough. You're making too much noise." Grimoirh said to Veda. This made Veda growl at everyone, before backing down.

"So she's… the same sort of malak as Bienfu?" Eleanor asked everyone, as they all stood down. "You're Grimoirh, right?" Velvet asked Grimoirh. Grimoirh just sighed. "We've been looking for you. We need your help." Velvet said to Grimoirh, making Grimoirh sign again. "Who are you?" Grimoirh asked Velvet.

"I'm Velvet. I know your witch friend." Velvet said to Grimoirh. "Oh?" Grimoirh asked Velvet, still not interested. "Grim! So wonderful to see you!" Magilou said to Grimoirh. "It's been forever!" Bienfu said to Grimoirh, making Grimoirh notice them.

"Ah, you two… Still as outlandish a pair as ever, I see." Grimoirh said to Magilou and Bienfu. "How exactly do you know her?" Rokurou asked Magilou. "Witch training. She was an upperclassman!"

"Upperclassmen?" Empress asked Magilou, confused by Magilou's words. "And?" Grimoirh asked Magilou. "We found this fascinating ancient tome, and we were hoping you could read it for us." Magilou said to Grimoirh.

"Goodness, magilou. You of all people joining a team? I didn't know you had it in you." Grimoirh said to Magilou. "Eh. They keep me entertained. Plus my Pokemon are pretty fun to be with." Magilou said to Grimoirh.

"Well, I don't need entertainment or fun." Grimoirh said to Magilou. "Bieeeeen! C'mon Grim, isn't there any way you can help us?" Bienfu asked Grimoirh. "It's not the kind of thing I do." Grimoirh said to Magilou.

Aw, what a shame. Things happened. Well, we tired, didn't we?" Magilou said to everyone, with Zane quickly catching on to what Magilou was doing. "Maybe you need some… incentivizing." Velvet said to Grimoirh, pointing her blade at Grimoirh. "Do it." Grimoirh said to Velvet, not scared at all, surprising Velvet.

"I'm serious." Velvet said to Grimoirh. "I bet you are." Grimoirh said to Velvet. "Your eyes tell me you're dangerous. Trouble follows you like a hawk tails a rabbit. And at my age, trouble is something I'd rather avoid." Grimoirh said to Velvet.

"No need for that Velvet. After all, this book is probably too much for Grimoirh to handle." Zane said to velvet, as he moved her blade away from Grimoirh. "Guess we'll just have to find someone who can actually read such a rare and important book." Zane said to everyone, as he turned away from Grimoirh.

"Like that trick would work on me. I'm not young enough to fall for that little wounding of my pride." Grimoirh said to Zane, making Zane turn to her. "How old ARE you?" Rokurou asked Grimoirh.

"Ask me again and you'll get a firework in the tush." Grimoirh said to Rokurou, with an angry look on her face. "Erm! My apologies." Rokurou said to Grimoirh, bowing to Grimoirh. "It appears we've wasted our time." Eizen said to everyone. "A walk on the beach is never wasted… But sorry." Grimoirh said to everyone.

Well, how did you learn to read the ancient tongue? Are there books for studying it or something?" Laphicet asked Grimoirh. "My, are you actually thinking of learning it on your own?" Grimoirh asked Laphicet, with Laphicet nodding yes.

"Well, I love reading and I want to learn more about history… besides, we need what's in this book." Laphicet said to Grimoirh. "You have passion, child, I'll give you that." Grimoirh said to Laphicet.

"Not to mention you wanna be helpful to Velvet, don'tcha, kid?" Magilou asked Laphicet. "Y-Yeah." Laphicet said, getting embarrassed a little. "My tuition isn't cheap, you know." Grimoirh said to Laphicet.

"You WILL teach me?!" Laphicet asked Grimoirh. "No, I won't but I admire your dedication enough to read it for you. Now where's this book?" Grimoirh asked Laphicet.

Laphicet walked up to Grimoirh and handed her the book. "Here it is, ma'am." Laphicet said to Grimoirh. "You needn't be so formal." Grimoirh said to Laphicet. "Y-Yes… Ma'am." Laphicet said to Grimoirh, sounding nervous.

This made Grimoirh give him a look. "Er, uh- Not ma'am. Right." Laphicet said to Grimoirh, as Grimoirh took the book. "Let's see what we're looking at here." Grimoirh said to everyone, as she started to flip through the pages.

"The language of ancient Avarost… had to be the hard one, of course. A lot of wear and tear, too. This'll take some time." Grimoirh said to Velvet. "We're in a hurry." Velvet said to Grimoirh.

"Velvet. Don't rush her. Remember we need her, so let her work." Zane said to Velvet. "That may well be, but this isn't the place for study. Let's move to someplace more comfortable." Rokurou said to everyone. "You've redeemed yourself, young man. There's a village called Haria just a little ways away." Grimoirh said to Rokurou.

"That works. Thank you." Rokurou said to Grimoirh. "Fine. Haria Village. Whatever gets the job done." Velvet said to everyone, as they started to move, with Grimoirh hopping onto Veda head for a ride.

"Haria… Isn't that the village with that daemon that Oscar and Teresa were talking about?" Eleanor asked everyone. "I think it might be. We should remain on our guard." Eizen said to everyone. "Yes, I remember a few of the people in town talking about how the Abbey took over a temple over there." Zane said to everyone.

While walking, Eleanor moved closer to Magilou. "I apologize if I'm being rude, but I have to ask… You're not Amenoch, the Empyrean… are you?" Eleanor asked Grimoirh. "Of course I'm not… What would even make you ask such a thing?" Grimoirh asked Eleanor.

"A shop in Yseult was selling Ameonch figurines that looked just like you." Eleanor said to Grimoirh. "Oh, that… I distinctly remember whispering to the shopkeeper in his sleep, telling him not to sell those things." Grimoirh said to everyone. "You showing up in his dreams probably only convinced him you were the real deal!" Bienfu said to Grimoirh.

"I told you that you should have let me trash his shop." Veda said to Grimoirh. "No. You should sue for his use of your likeness and get proper compensation from that shopkeeper!" Bienfu said to Grimoirh.

"Forget it. It's no concern." Grimoirh said to everyone, as she closed her eyes in relaxation. "Yeah, you're right. It's not like they'd ever sell anyway." Bienfu said, making Grimoirh's eyes shoot half open.

"Oh? You think a figurine of mine wouldn't sell?" Grimoirh asked Bienfu. "You've got this whole somber ennui thing going on. A figurine needs to be cute, like me!" Bienfu said to Grimoirh. "Then how about I turn you into a product?" Grimoirh asked Bienfu.

"Me? Really?!" Bienfu asked Grimoirh, getting really excited. "Oh, yes. I'll have you stuffed and mounted. But since it'd be a unique piece, I'd have to price it a bit higher." Grimoirh said to Bienfu, as Veda claws glowed white. "M-Mounted?! No, no! Count me out!" Bienfu said to Grimoirh, as he ran away at high speed in fear.

This made Grimoirh sigh. "You're not fun." Grimoirh said to Bienfu. "Now, what was it we were talking about?" Grimoirh asked Eleanor. "Whether or not you are the Empyrean Amenoch." Eleanor said to Grimoirh.

"Ah, yes. That's right. I'm not Empyrean. I'm just a simple girl." Grimoirh said to Eleanor, making Eleanor sigh. "It would be hard for anyone to worship an Empyrean like me, right?" Grimoirh asked Eleanor. "That's true." Eleanor said, trying to be quiet.

"You know we heard you right?" Veda asked Eleanor, as she and Grimoirh gave her a flat look, surpsign Eleanor. "Oh, er, I mean… it just seems like you're the type who can see through anything, so… Perhaps an Empyrean seems less intimidating, from a certain point of view.

"You're saying I'm scarier than an Empyrean?" Grimoirh asked Eleanor, sounding annoyed. "Not scarier, exactly, just more of a… savvy sort of woman." Eleanor said to Grimoirh. "That's not a bad answer, but it won't get you out of the dog house." Grimoirh said to Eleanor, as Eleanor started to calm down a little.

After a bit of walking, they found themselves in a smaller village then where they docked the ship, but before entering the town, they returned their Pokemon to their Pokeballs, with Veda going underground.

"So this must be Yseult." Zane said to everyone. "From what we heard in Yseult, daemons are attacking villages, and more people are growing upset with the Abbey. So I hadn't expected things in Haria Village to be so laid-back." Rokurou said to everyone.

"They might be on their best behavior because your accompanied by an exorcist." Eleanor said to Rokurou. "Huh. I didn't know you could see the world in more than just black and white." Velvet said to Eleanor, with a mocking tune in her voice.

"The Abbey wouldn't entrust my responsibilities to someone who couldn't see beyond the surface. I have seen many things in my work. I've beheld both the light and the darkness in the world of men. Despite that… No, because of that, I won't turn away from the wrongs that I encounter. Moreover, I have faith, I believe there is good in all our souls." Eleanor said to Velvet.

"Says the foolish girl that can't see her order for any more than the shiny surface it has. You haven't truly seen the world or know the true nature of humans. All you know is the lies the Abbey told you, and your blind faith that everyone is truly good somewhere deep down inside and that the daemons are the source of the world's problem." Zane said to Eleanor, as they reached the village inn and walked inside it.

"We could use a place to stay. Any rooms open?" Velvet asked the innkeeper, as they all walked up to her. "Yep! Just finished cleaning, in fact. You can help yourself to that room there." The innkeeper said to Velvet, pointing to a door.

Once they were in the room, everyone scattered around the room, with Veda sticking her head through a window. "All right, time to start deciphering this scroll." Grimoirh said to everyone. "Let's wait somewhere outside so Grim can concentrate." Eizen said to everyone.

"Um… Do you think maybe I could stay and watch? I really do want to study the ancient tongue. I promise I'll be quiet and not get in your way, teacher." Laphicet asked Grimoirh, surprising Grimoirh a little. "What did you just say, child?" Grimoirh asked Laphicet.

"Uh… That I'd be quiet, and-" Laphicet said to Grimoirh, nervous, but was interrupted by Grimoirh. "No, what did you call me?" Grimoirh asked Laphicet. "Teacher? You said you didn't want to be called ma'am, so I thought maybe that'd work." Laphicet said to Grimoirh.

"Yes, satisfactory. All right, I'll teach you how to read ancient Avarost." Grimoirh said to Laphicet. "Thank you so much, teacher!" Laphicet said to Grimoirh, getting really excited.

"We'll leave you two alone, then. Let us know if anything comes up." Velvet said to Grimoirh, as they Laphicet and Grimoirh in the room, and went their separate ways.

While walking around, Velvet found a young and old man talking very loudly. "Do you plan on just giving up? Palamedes is Amenoch's temple! The priestess isn't the only one whose job it is to protect the temple. It's the duty of everyone born in this village." The old man said to the young man.

'Why did the Abbey need Amenoch's temple badly enough to risk causing this much unrest?' Velvet thought, as she kept listening to the men.

"But how will we protect our village from the daemons if the Abbey abandons us? Besides, we won't be able to do business with the people of Yseult anymore." The young man said to the old man.

"Our faith in Amenoch has nothing to do with the daemons. When the priestess gets back, I'm going with her to protest." The old man said to the young man. "The daemonblight changed everything… Will we never be able to return to the way things were?" The young man said to the old man. "The way things were." Velvet said, remembering the good time before all this before walking away.

Velvet then ran into Rokurou, who was looking at weapons. "So she digs being called "teacher". Well played, Laphicet." Rokurou said, thinking out loud. "She wasn't so fond of "ma'am", so I guess he figured he needed an alternative." Velvet said to Rokurou, getting Rokurou's attention.

"You can tell how badly he wanted to help her with the languagey work. I think our malak boy's finally finding himself." Rokurou said to Velvet. "So it would seem." Velvet said to Rokurou, before walking away.

Velvet then ran into Eleanor, as Eleanor looked at the people of the village. "What connection do you think there is between the violent daemon Teresa mentioned and this village?" Eleanor asked Velvet. "Couldn't tell you." Velvet said to Eleanor.

"Could there have been a daemonblight breakout here? This village doesn't look like it's been attacked, but…" Eleanor said to Velvet, before going quiet. "Whatever it is, if it keeps the Abbey's eyes off us for once, that's good enough for me." Velvet said to Eleanor.

"You really will use anything and everything toward your own aims, won't you?" Eleanor asked Velvet. "Yep, and that includes you. As I'm sure you've noticed." Velvet said to Eleanor, before walking away.

Velvet then walked and found Eizen at the beach. "It sounds like deciphering the text might take some time." Eizen said to Velvet, as he heard her coming closer. "We should be prepared to wait it out here for a while. Hopefully it'll all be worth it in the end." Velvet said to Eizen.

"I hope so too, but ancient Avarost is complex. It's not just a matter of knowing the grammar and vocabulary." Eizen said to Velvet. "Oh? Then how exactly do you read it?" Velvet asked Eizen.

"I'm not sure about the specifics myself, but from what I understand, you kind of have to intuit a lot of it." Eizen said to Velvet. "A language based on guesswork? Thanks, old dead people, you're officially the worst." Velvet said, companing, before walking away.

Next Velvet ran into Magilou, who was just chilling. "Banning local religions… The abbey sure knows how to press the populace!" Magilou said to Velvet, as Velvet walked up to her. "I'd imagine that comes part and parcel with spreading the Good Word. Other gods would only get in the way." Velvet said to Magilou.

"From what we overheard, it sounds like they've taken over Amenoch's temple, Palamedes, to use as their base of operations." Magilou said to Velvet.

"Sealing it off would be provocative enough, but straight-up taking it over? Not a lot of so-called "reason" to that. Unless. Do you think they need it for some other purpose?" Velvet asked Magilou.

"Shrug." Magilou said to Velvet, before she walked away. Making Velvet walk away angry.

Lastly she found Zane standing outside the village watching it go about its day. "What are you doing?" Velvet asked Zane. "Just watching, this place is a nice place before the Abbey showed up." Zane said to Velvet.

"What are you talking about?" Velvet asked Zane. "I'm talking about how Teresa stole their temple. She may have acted all sweet and reasonable to the people, but she came here for the temple, and nothing was going to stop her." Zane said to Velvet.

"Didn't anyone try to stop her?" Velvet asked Zane. "From what I've heard, the priestess tired. But now she's missing, and now her daughter is missing as well." Zane said to Velvet. "You don't think this is a coincidence do you?" Velvet asked Zane.

"Knowing our luck, and who our enemy is. Not a chance." Zane said to Velvet. "I wonder if they've made any progress yet." Velvet said to Zane. "Let's gather everyone and find out." Zane said to Velvet, as they started to search for everyone before returning to the inn.

Meanwhile at the inn, Grimoirh and Laphicet kept reading the book, with Veda watching them through the window. Then Grimoirh sighed. "Oh, Ancient Avarost… You have the obstinacy of a spurned lover who refuses to move on." Grimoirh said to the book.

"Even for you, teacher?" Laphicet asked Grimoirh. "It's this one crucial. I can't wrap my head around it." Grimoirh said to Laphicet, as she looked at one of the pages with a serious look.

"Er, well… from what you've taught me so far, it looks like it says… "Sa, popo, mucho sanchon"." Laphicet said to Grimoirh. "Correct, but if you merely translate it word-for-word, it ends up saying, "The parent hates tomatoes; the child, eggplants"." Grimoirh said to Laphicet.

"I… doubt those have much to do with Innominat, yeah." Laphicet said to Grimoirh. "Their grammar is nothing like ours. Sometimes you have to reorder the words, and even then the meaning can require leaps of logic and flashes of intuition." Grimoirh said to Laphicet.

"Reordering? So, like "Sansan… Pochoopocho… Pochomusan… Pochomusan…" Can you read it that way?" Laphicet asked Grimoirh. "Pochomusan… Now where did you get that from?" Grimoirh asked Laphicet.

"These words are lined up, like they repeat, and when I read this part that same way, it just felt right." Laphicet said to Grimoirh, pointing to the book. "Pochomusan… Hmm, if that's repeated here, then… The passage turns into "The Nameless Empyrean"." Grimoirh said to Lapchiet.

"Empyrean!" Laphciet said, surprised. "Hoho… That has to refer to Innominat. I think we're on to something!" Grimoirh said to Laphicet. "All right, so if we apply this rule here, then… Hmm. Hmmmm." Grimoirh said, reading the book.

"It would seem to be a book of children's counting songs." Grimoirh said to Laphicet. "It's not about Innominat?" Laphicet asked Grimoirh. "What matters is what the song says, child. And I think you will be very interested in the words." Grimoirh said to Laphicet.

Some time later, everyone came back into the room. "Well? Any results?" Velvet asked Grimoirh. "Yes… Well, thanks to the boy here, as it turns out, he has quite the knack for languages." Grimoirh said to Velvet. "Heheh, only because I've got the best teacher." Laphicet said to Grimoirh.

"Careful, honey-tongue, you'll give this old girl ideas." Grimoirh said to Laphicet, confusing Velvet a little. "Now, child. I'm sure they're curious about the song we unearthed. Why don't you read it aloud?" Grimoirh asked Laphicet. "Yes. teacher." Laphicet said to Grimoirh, as he looked at the book. "Song?" Velvet asked, still confused.

"Eight-headed is the Lord of the Land. / With seven mouths to devour malevolence. / Through pulses of earth doth base natures flow. / As he awaits the time of awakening. / Four Empyreans may tear him asunder. / But so long as there is one receptive to divine power. / Therions shall be forever reborn. / In sight of the full crimson moon. / The Nameless Empyrean hath one heart. / The Nameless Empyrean hath one body.

'Therions.' Velvet thought, as everyone started to think about what Laphicet just said. 'That's not that far off the mark, missing a few details. But otherwise, pretty accurate.' Zane thought.

"Essentially, this ancient text you've found is an annotated volume of drawings and songs pertaining to Innominat." Grimoirh said to everyone. "Annotated? Then hurry up and just tell us what it means." Velvet said to Grimoirh.

"I'm sorry… So far, we've only figured out how to read the song lyrics." Laphicet said to Velvet. "All right." Velvet said to Laphicet, as she crossed her arms. "I take it we're still in for a good long wait before it's thoroughly decrypted." Magilou said to everyone.

"Likely so. But if we want to find out what the Abbey is up to, we need to know what's in this book. No matter how long it takes." Rokurou said to everyone.

'Hmm… what the Abbey's "up to", is that it?' Eleanor thought, before having an idea. "I think we can learn much, even from the lyrics alone." Eleanor said to everyone, as she walked to the book.

"The book depicts him with eight heads. One of them belongs to his main body, but the other seven are his "mouths"." Those mouths consume "malevolence", sending it along earthpulses back to that main body so he can awaken. The seven monsters fitting that description are called-." Eleanor said to everyone, but was interrupted by Velvet.

"Therions." Velvet said to everyone. "Right. Now as for this "Malevolence", I have no idea what that means." Eleanor said to everyone. "You really have no idea?" Zane asked Eleanor, as he leaned against the wall.

"Like you do?" Eleanor asked Zane. "Yes. After all, over time, words change. What the old tongue calls Malevolence, you call it daemonblight." Zane said to Eleanor. "So Innominat feeds off daemonblight." Eleanor said, getting worried, as Eizen and Grimoirh looked at Zane.

"What about the second part?" Eizen asked Eleanor. "I haven't studied much ancient history, but it's said this world was created by four Empyreans: earth, water, wind, and fire. But they also call Innominat an Empyrean. Perhaps a war broke out between Innominat and the other Empyreans that resulted in him being sealed away." Eleanor said to everyone.

"Or the four Empyreans were made to keep Innominat trap in the core of the world. And over time everyone just thought they were the only four, and the ones that made everything." Zane said to everyone.

"But if there is someone to connect with this "divine power", the therions will keep spawning, and just like that, Innominat will be revived. If we assume that Shepherd Artorius fits that bill, and that he's trying to reawaken Innominat, everything lines up." Magilou said to everyone.

"Which means our job is to find these therions and cut off Innominat's head, so to speak." Velvet said to everyone. "But where do we even start looking for them?" Rokurou asked everyone.

"Remember, the song that the therions and Innominat's body are connected through earthpulses. If their job is to feed Innominat, the most effective place to position them would be at the earthpulse points." Eizen said to everyone. "Points?" Velvet asked Eizen.

"The places where the power of earthpulses is concentrated." Magilou said to Velvet. "We've actually been to a few of those places already." Zane said to Velvet, as a thought crossed Laphicet's mind. "Places with that sigil." Laphicet said to Zane. "Bringo." Zane said to Laphicet.

"Hey, remember the barrier that was keeping this bug in the forest?" Laphicet asked everyone, as they remembered the barrier around his bug. "Wait, are you trying to say that thing's a therion? And yet. It would explain why the Abbey was keeping it locked up. "And there was that same barrier at the villa. Too." Laphicet said to everyone, as they remembered the griffon at the villa.

"That's right. Do you suppose that was also a therion? Does that mean the therions all come in different forms?" Velvet asked everyone. "Well the book said "so long as there is one receptive to divine power". That doesn't mean a therion is a humanoid. So probably." Zane said to Velvet.

"Should we go to Loegres and check?" Rokurou asked everyone. "We've just started deciphering the book. I'd hate to lose time on some fool's errand. I'd rather know at least a little more about what's in it before we make a move." Velvet said to Rokurou. "Plus getting close to the villa won't be easy. Rush in without an idea of what we're doing will only cause us trouble." Zane said to everyone.

That's when Magilou noticed Grimoirh staring at the book. "Something bothering you, Grim?" Magilou asked Grimoirh. "This line, the one about therions being "Forever reborn"." Grimoirh said to Magilou, as Laphicet sensed something and gasped.

"What is it, Laphicet?" Zane asked Laphicet. "I just felt the same thing as I did in Warg Forest!" Laphicet said to Zane, as he pulled out his compass. Laphicet then started to move around a little, before he stopped and pointed in a direction.

"The needle's pointing in the direction of Amenoch's temple, Palamedes. Do I recall hearing that the Abbey took that over?" Magilou asked everyone. "Correct." Zane said to Magilou. "Temples and ritual sites are often built on places thought to be right in spiritual energy. Could the temple possibly be an earthpulse point?" Eleanor asked everyone.

"With how much trouble Teresa went through to get it, I say that's a safe bet." Zane said to Eleanor. "There's lots of earthpulse points scattered all over the world. If there's only seven therions, most of them will be empty." Eizen said to everyone.

"It's not like we have any better leads. If there's even a chance, shouldn't we go check it out?" Rokurou asked everyone. "Better than sitting around waiting on the book. If nothing else, we'll find out what Laphicet is sensing." Velvet said to everyone, before they started to move.

"Hmm… Just a theory, but if you were to kill a therion." Grimoirh said, making everyone stop. "What?" Velvet asked Grimoirh. "I guess there's only one way to find out. Never mind. Good luck out there." Grimoirh said to everyone.

"Veda, I want you to go with Laphicet. I kinda like this boy and would rather not lose him so soon." Grimoirh said to Veda. "Of course Grimoirh." Veda said to Grimoirh. "This will help you stay hidden while you're with me." Laphicet said to Veda, as he used a Pokeball on her and caught her.

"If you're done. Let's leave Grimoirh to the book. We have a temple to search." Zane said to Laphicet, as all left Grimoirh to read the book, and to find out what the Abbey was doing at the village temple.

Hello everyone, I hope you like this chapter. Please follow or review if you like this story. Oh and why I gave Dykuma the Sandygast a stick instead of a shovel, it's because we are in the past before plastic shovels were made.
