Tripp had one hand on Charlie and was carrying T'Mir. He had the day off and wanted to spend the day with the children. He just had to take the children to sickbay to get a check up before they had their fun. Ella was glad to have the day off. She had a light in her eyes that had Tripp wondering if she had a boyfriend on the ship and who he was.
"Papa, where are we going?" Charlie looked up at him with his eyes.
Tripp was always amazed that Charlie looked so much like him. "We have to go to the doctor and then we get the day together," Tripp looked at T'Mir who was smiling at him. "And we can do whatever you want." Charlie smiled.
They entered sickbay. Phlox smiled when he saw the children. "Good morning," Phlox said to Charlie. "Up here," Phlox patted the bio bed.
Tripp put T'Mir on the bed first and then picked up Charlie to put him on the bed. Phlox did his scans on the children and saw there was nothing wrong. "It seems that everything looks okay with the children for being human and Vulcan."
"Thank you, doctor," Tripp gathered his children and was ready to head to the out of sickbay when he heard his name being called over the comms.
"Commander Tucker to Airlock Two," Tripp moaned.
"Let me drop the kids off with Ella," Tripp told the captain.
The captain responded before Tripp ran off to Ella's quarters. He ran the chime several times, but he got nothing, and he was needed at Airlock Two. He was going to have to bring the kids with him. Tripp turned the corner and didn't see T'Pol standing by the captain's side.
Jonathan looked at the children. "I thought that you were dropping them off with Ella."
"I was but I got no answer from her," Tripp said. Jonathan sighed. "I can call T'Pol, and she can get come and get them." Tripp was ready to reach for comm button when the captain said.
"Don't worry about it," Jonathan said. "Our visitors are here," Both men turned to the airlock door. Tripp had a good hold on Charlie's hand as the doors opened.
A woman that looked like she just came out of a fairy tale like Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty. Her dress was a cotton candy pink. She was holding what looked like a small dog in her arms. The dog let out a bark. Charlie buried his face into Tripp's side. Tripp knew that it was the first time that Charlie or T'Mir had seen a dog this close. The woman looked from Jonathan to Tripp.
Tripp saw men in black standing behind her, they threw Jonathan and Tripp a look, like don't get any ideas. Tripp looked back at the woman and knew right away that he didn't want anything to do with this woman.
"Her Royal Majesty Queen Ewena of the Drovia Dynasty on planet Tranirus," One of the men in black said.
Jonathan smiled at the queen and gave a small bow. "I'm Captain Jonathan Archer and this my second officer, Commander Charles Tucker the Third," Tripp tried to bow but he was holding two small children.
"Captain Archer," Queen Ewena looked at the captain before she turned to Tripp. Tripp felt her eyes on him like she was reading him inside and out. She glanced at the children before looking back at him. Tripp noticed that her eyes were light brown. She might look like a fairy tale princess, but Tripp saw intelligence in eyes. She knew what was going on. No one can fool her. "Commander Tucker," She said.
"Your Majesty," Tripp mumbled.
"If you like I can take you to the conference room," Jonathan moved out of the way to let the queen pass. She nodded and led the way. Tripp followed behind the men in black.
They made their way to the conference room. Tripp didn't know what was going on and he felt that T'Pol should be here with the captain and not him. They made it to the conference room and Ella was waiting for them. She smiled and said that she was sorry about not being there. Tripp waved her off and handed the children to her. He hated that his day with the children ended this way. Tripp took a breath before entering the room.
The queen and the captain were looking at a screen. Tripp glanced at the two men who were standing to the side by the table that held drinks and food. Tripp made his way over to them and grabbed a glass of water. They watched him the whole time as he took a sip of water.
"So, what are your names?" He asked.
"It does not matter what our names are," The one on the left mumbled. "You should be with your captain and the queen."
Tripp nodded and made his way to the captain and queen. Tripp was trying to understand what they were talking about.
"This my home planet," Queen Ewena pointed to the screen. Archer nodded. It looked like Archer was keeping that information in his head. Tripp didn't understand why. The queen felt that Tripp was there. She turned around and smiled at Tripp. "Commander Tucker, you should visit my planet."
Tripp didn't know what to say as he looked over at Jonathan. The captain was nodding. "Maybe someday," Tripp smiled.
The queen looked around. "Where are your children?" She asked.
Tripp had thought that she didn't see the children when he had them before. "They are with their nanny now."
Queen Ewena frowned. "That is sad. I had hoped to meet them."
Tripp kept the smile on his face. "They wouldn't be happy here. They would be happier in our quarters with their nanny."
The queen nodded. "It must be hard doing it on your own."
"I'm not doing this on my own. My wife is also here," Tripp looked up and saw that Archer was shaking his head. Tripp didn't know what was going on.
"I didn't realize that you were married," The queen said in a calm voice, but Tripp heard that there was a hint of anger in her voice.
"Yes, my wife and I are very happy," Tripp said. Tripp wasn't going to sugar coat it for the queen. He didn't know what the captain wanted him to do, but he wasn't going to lie about his wife.
Queen Ewena turned to her men and said something in their language. They nodded before heading for the door. Tripp watched them leave the room. He waited until he heard them walk away before turning to the captain. "What the hell was that about?"
Jonathan sighed. "Queen Ewena is sole ruler of her country, and it is the woman that inherits. Women have been after her crown since she born. She doesn't like women and it doesn't help that she doesn't have an heir right now to take her place. T'Pol and I thought that it was best that she didn't have to meet any women on the ship."
"I'm sorry if I ruin everything," Tripp said. "I would have been nice to know what was going on."
"Sorry we didn't have time," Jonathan gave a half smile. Tripp nodded.
The doors opened and T'Pol walked in. "The queen's ship is gone. What happen in here?"
Jonathan threw Tripp a look before explaining to T'Pol what happened. T'Pol glanced at Tripp. Tripp shrugged his shoulders. Tripp could tell that T'Pol wasn't happy with him. Jonathan glanced between the couple. "I'll leave you two alone," Jonathan walked out of the room.
Tripp gave a weak smile as the doors closed. "I'm sorry. I didn't know what was going on. I would have told her that I am raising our children alone."
T'Pol was ready to come at him when she stopped to look at him. "What do you mean? Captain didn't say anything about the children." Tripp had to think about Jonathan had said. He didn't say anything about the children being there to greet the queen and her people. Only that Tripp told her that he was married.
"I couldn't get Ella to take the children and we didn't have time to call you to get them. So, they were there when we met the queen. Ella came and took the children before I entered the conference room. Queen Ewena asked about the children, and we talked about them," Tripp slowly made his way over to T'Pol. He reached for her hips and pulled her close. "She wanted to know if I was doing it alone, I told her no that you were on the ship."
"Tripp," T'Pol warned.
"I'm not going to lie about the love of my life," Tripp leaned down and kissed her. Tripp could tell that she was ready to wrap her arms around him when she pushed him away.
She patted him on the chest. "I must get back to the bridge and you must get back to the kids. I am sure that Ella will want to enjoy the rest of her day off," T'Pol headed for the door. Tripp watched her for a moment before following her. She waited for him to exit before asking. "How were they at the doctor?" She asked.
"Dr. Phlox said that everything looks good with them," They started down the hall. T'Pol nodded. They parted and Trip went back to spend the day with his children.
T'Pol reached for Tripp to find that he was gone. She wondered if he had gotten up early to go to Engineering to check on it. She got up and went to the bathroom to shower. She left her room and went across the way and checked on the children. She saw that Charlie was just waking up. He sat up in bed and rubbed his eyes.
"Mama," Charlie got up and headed for the children's bathroom. T'Pol watched him for a moment before getting T'Mir ready for the day. T'Pol went to bathroom to check on Charlie to see that he was brushing his teeth. Charlie jumped off the stepstool and headed out of the bathroom. T'Pol helped him dress before taking his hand and heading out for breakfast.
T'Pol got the children's food before looking at the door to the mess hall and wondering if Tripp was coming. It was something that they tried to do to have breakfast as a family before going to work. She knew that he would not miss this. She watched the children eating their breakfast and still no Tripp.
Tripp did not show up for breakfast and it was time for Ella to take the children back to their quarters. T'Pol decided to make a trip to engineering before heading to the bridge. She wanted to ask Tripp why he did not make it to breakfast.
She entered engineering, looked around, and did not see Tripp anywhere. She found a crewmember standing by a console. "Have you seen Commander Tucker?"
"No, Ma'am. He never came in," The crewmember mumbled.
T'Pol nodded. She did not need the crewmember to know that they were missing Tripp. She decided to check in with the captain and see if he had seen Tripp. She made her way to the captain's ready room. She rang the chime, and it didn't take long before the captain told her to enter. As she entered, she did not see Tripp anywhere. She took a breath before asking. "Have you seen Commander Tucker today?"
"No, I haven't seen him since yesterday," There was a questionable look on the captain's face. "Why?"
"I have not seen him since last night before we went to bed. He was gone in the morning. I thought maybe he was in Engineering, but he was not."
The captain touched a button. "Malcom, can you locate Commander Tucker."
It didn't take long before Malcom got back to them. "Commander Tucker is not on the ship, sir."
"Where is Commander Tucker?" Jonathan asked.
