Riding in the back of a motorcycle was so much fun to experience, almost like a. Rollercoaster ride, but not as safe. Nonetheless, Cody was still having the time of his life right now. Loona herself was having the time of her life as she was riding all the way to Stylish Occult to meet her Goetia friend.
It was about fifteen miles from where Loona's apartment was and Cody was happy to have arrived there again.
Loona took off her helmet and fluffed dirt off her leather jacket. There was the Goetia princess herself, waiting for her two friends to go up and greet her. "Hi via. You doing ok, dude?"
Octavia smiled before replying: "yep. And you?"
"Had better days, Via. Had better days." Then she looked at Cody. "But with my new little brother around, it always brightens my day." Cody smiled warmly. She even ruffled his brown hair to show some playfulness to him. "How's your dad?"
"He's... fine, I guess." Via sheepishly said. "But he's still feeling a little sad about the whole Blitzo thing."
"Must have hurt him pretty bad." Loona said. "But nevermind Blitzo. He's a fucking loser with no one to love but his own dick."
Octavia giggled. "Well at least he helps you out." She said. "Remember what you told me in Los Angeles?"
"Right." Loona did remember the lecture she gave her in the Human world. "It doesn't mean Blitzo will be the death of me one day."
"Come on, Loona. He does everything for you."
the female hellhound didn't say anything. "Well, come on, it's not like the taxidermy in there is gonna be stared by ghosts all day." As all three of them walked in, the place was a little crowded, but it wasn't like Black Friday crowded. No, if it was Black Friday in Hell, then it would take the extreme things down here to the next level.
Cody could hardly wait to see the taxidermy here again. He'll never forget about the first time netting Misty as she dragged him to this place. Ah, that was quite the day for the young boy.
"so which way do we want to go first?" Asked Loona
"Well, I don't care." The boy admitted. "Wherever you want."
"Left wing it is." Via smiled.
"Hey! Loona!" Said a male voice. The three looked over to see Johnny, the friendly, husky-like hellhound coming to greet them. "How're you doing, man?"
"Hi Johnny." Loona looked a little sheepish seeing the burly male hellhound. "What brings you here?"
"Got bored, nothing better to do." Johnny replied before looking at the human boy. "W'sup Cody?" He said before kneeling on one knee to make better eye contact with him and do a fist bump with him with a big fist. "You staying in school, buddy?"
"I got out two hours ago. And I never skip school."
"Good on you, Cody. Good on you. So mind if I join you guys?"
"No. be my guest." Octavia smiled. "The more the merrier.
As the four looked at some of the great taxidermy, Johnny asked: "what's been going on, Cody?"
"Blitzo and Stolas are having a fall out." The boy replied. "But I got a plan to help them get back together."
Loona and Octavia looked at Cody with confused looks on their faces. "You do? How?" Asked the Goetia princess
"Well... I'm not going to do it yet. I'm'lol wait to see how this goes between them and if they are still not talking to each other, then I can try it out. Besides, they can't stay mad at each other forever. They'll have to make up some time. And I can bring them back together with the plan."
"I don't know, kiddo." Loona admitted with a look of uncertainty. "I know you're trying to help out, but you can't just repair a relationship with a crazy scheme."
"But I don't want Blitzo to be like Stella."
"What? Come on, Blitzo is nothing like my mum," via scoffed. "Being that, I have known her longer than any of you. She is a completely different person from Blitzo."
"At least Blitzo doesn't scream like a rabid vulture." Loona joked. "Loony! Time for your monthly bath!" She had a croaking, mocking voice to sound like a vulture squawking. Her cohorts and little brother laughed at the remark. "If he did, I would just shirk myself in the head. Or cut my ears off with shears."
"I know, it would be unbearable." Said Octavia.
"So, uh... Loona?" Johnny said. "I was wondering... if..."
"Yeah?" Loona flustered as she was looking at the sheepish male hellhound.
"You wanna go on a date with me tomorrow at Cafe Batard? I'll pay for the food."
"Cafe Batard?" Loona said in surprise. "It's nearly impossible to get a reservation in that kind of place."
"Luckily for me," said Johnny, "my uncle is one of the waiters there, and he managed to get me and you a reservation there. And I managed to get Bee to convince the restaurant to give us a special discount, her being the Gluttony Queen and all."
"Bee?"
"Well yeah, I'm good friends with Tex, so go figure."
"Sure, I would like to go on a date with you tomorrow."
Cody frowned. "What time is it tomorrow?"
"Oh, around seven in the evening." The male hellhound clarified.
"Why, is there a problem?" Asked Loona with concern
"No, no, nothing's wrong, Loona."
"OK then. So, can you tell us the plan about fixing Stolas and Blitzo, buddy?"
"Yeah, what can you do to help them?" Via added
"Well I am going to try and organize some kind of a fancy dinner for the two of them, like a spaghetti dinner or, the Martin lunch... what's it called?"
"Martini lunch?" Johnny pointed.
"Yeah! Something like that."
"but a martini lunch is for business, or lawyers." Loona said. "And they're not really coworkers."
"Oh. Well I'm still a kid. So I don't understand those kind of things."
"Don't sweat it." Johnny ruffled the kid's head.
"That could work. Probably have a sit-down together and talk about their problems." Octavia pointed. "Or why not go to a therapist or a psychiatrist?"
"Because they cost a lot of money." Cody said.
"very good point." The Goetia princess admitted. "Especially costs more today."
The group of four continued on in the taxidermy place and while resting their elbows on a rails Loona and Johnny accidentally touched their hands together, and they both yoinked their hands away in a swift yoink.
"Oh! Uh... I'm sorry." They said in unison as they looked away, flushing crimson red in their dog-like faces. Octavia smirked at this and found it amusing that there might be romance and love between them.
Walking down a few hallways, Loona accidentally tripped and tackled Johnny by mistake, landing on top of him in the process, making both of them blush a darker shade of red. "I'm so so sorry." Both of them said as they both got back on their feet, "no, I said it first. No, really, it's my fault." Both of them began stammering to each other, trying to figure out the right words to say.
Cody chuckled seeing how these two were in this awkward situation. At last, they both turned away and continued walking with the rest of their friends.
The human boy was taking a look at the taxidermy replica of a lesser hellhound, the more savage cousin of the more intelligent one that Loona and her possible new boyfriend are. Just looking at it made Cody's spine shiver a cold chill. He can feel the eyes of the taxidermy staring into his soul, even through it wasn't really a dead hellhound.
"Ah yeah. I know a lesser hellhound when I see one." Johnny said. "Don't let it scare you, Cody. It's just a piece of taxidermy."
"I know that. But I wonder if they were born like this or if they were transformed from regular hellhounds to... this."
"In some cases, yeah." Loona said. "If one gets treated like an animal long enough, then that's what you become. But most of them were born like this."
"Some Hellhounds like us face some discrimination by some of the other demons, arguing that we Mrs not really civilized folk." Said Johnny with a sad look on his face. "My aunt Patrice got turned into a lesser hellhound because of it."
"Wait, so some places ban hellhounds?"
"From many racist f-" Loona stopped herself from cursing. "Many ignorant people, I mean, but I try not to let it get to my head. It's Hell. So pretty much anything can happen down here."
Cody was rather disturbed by this. Sure, he had heard of bad treatments in many pounds that Hellhounds grew up in until they are adopted, but discrimination like that? That was a whole new level of disturbing. To him, all lives matter.
"So when are tot going to put that plan to action?" Octavia asked Cody curiously.
"Like I mentioned, Octavia, I wanna wait and see how their relationship will be. If it gets bad then I'll try the plan."
"sounds good to me."
"But maybe it isn't a good idea. I know Blitzo and Stolas' relationship is... weird, but inside me, there is a feeling that the are made for each other."
"Birds of a feather flock together." Loona smirked
"Pfft, like I never heard that one before." Via chuckled.
"Cody, maybe you should probably leave them alone. Some things just can't be fixed."
"Right."
The Next Morning
Blitzo was drinking some whiskey more than was good for him. He drank at least seven bottles of that piss they call a drink, and he was already, unsurprisingly, inebriated.
Cody got up to brush his teeth and saw the imp in a very weird and awkward position on the couch. "Cody!" Blitzo said in a slurred voice. "Good morning, buddy." He walked up to him and hugged him. "Did ya sleep ok, Kid? Oh I love you, man.
Loona heard the commotion and got out of bed, facepalming herself to see that her adopted dad was making a fool out of himself... again!
"Fuck me." Loona breathed. "Blitzo, have you been drinking again?"
"Well no." Blitzo tried to keep his head straight. "I only had... eleventy-six bottle of booze, that's all. Then he collapsed on the floor, letting go of Cody in the process. "I love you guys so much
"Blitzo, why don't you just go back to bed for fuck sake?"
"But it's morning!" Blitzo jumped back up. "I don't need anymore-" before Cody and Loona knew it, the imp just collapsed back on the floor, snoring loudly.
The female hellhound made a sigh of annoyance, and picked him up. "Fucking weirdo." She murmured. "Come on, I'll get you back into bed."
Cody turned on the TV and wondered what that was about." He heard the sound of Blitzo's phone screaming and it was Stolas that sent him a message.
It read: "fucking leave me alone, you insensitive arsehole!"
"Uh-oh." Cody said to himself. "What did I just read?" He felt like looking at the previous texts that Stolas sent before, and it carried on for a whole night. He felt like he shouldn't since it would be an invasion of Blitzo's privacy, but decided to do so t at the last minute. He was reading more and more angry texts from Stolas to Blitzo, and it looked troubling.
"What are you doing?" Loona asked her adopted brother.
"Gah!" Cody exclaimed, almost dropping the phone. "Nothing."
"Wait, are you reading Bltizo' text messages?"
"No." then he heard the sound of another scream from it, making him bow his head.
"Cody," Loona said. "You shouldn't do that. It violates other people's privacy."
"I'm sorry?" Cody said. "I got too curious. And these texts that Stolas sent to Blitzo are pretty scary." Then he felt Loona gently confiscate if from him.
"Come on, kiddo. You worry too much. Be a kid, be happy, do fun things kids would normally do."
