Another day of school and... another attempt from reality to try and get a harem started.

As the new school day began, however, something came up that really irritated me.

"Who are you?!"

The tomboy tensed up, then scoffed. "What? You don't remember, I am your childhood friend, Tai!"

"Who?" June pressed, even more confused as she tightened her hold around my arm. She could smell the oddity, and she didn't like it.

"T-Tai, Yanase Tai. Come on, we used to play bug-catching when we were lil' brats."

"I never did any bug-catching in my childhood," June flatly rebuked. "In fact, I hardly spent any time outdoors when I was a child."

The redhead appeared baffled. "T-That's not true, we did play together-"

"I don't know you, I never did any bug-catching, and I definitely never gave you any permission to touch me at all. Keep away!"

That should have been it, but Tai didn't seem to understand a final say over this sort of situations. June was soon nagged by the redhead, each attempt seemingly getting nowhere and... pissing June off even more. Usually the girl had a rather cool attitude around others, but the way she was getting pestered by the redhead was easily putting a dent to her patience.

The fact that Tai was a girl meant that she could corner her in all places the plum-haired girl could usually find safety from any male annoyance. And while I was getting more in position to personally intervene on the matter, I was stopped by something catching me off-guard.

"Edano Tadahisa-kun?"

I turned to glance at the young man bearing horns on the sides of his head. An incubus... how unusual for one of them to seek a male human at school. Usually they would keep by themselves with the Succubi in their 'Demonology Club' out of fear of persecution.

While they legally had the same rights as other humans, the overall reputation their race had as a very sexual race made them extremely disliked by the general population.

"That's my name."

"This is from Kochou."

The President of the Demonology Club? I had no clue who it was, but if they were willing to reach out usually meant that 1) it was important and 2) that they have been looking into my situation for a while before inviting me.

The letter was pretty much a request to discuss in private around lunchtime. A seemingly simple request, but one that still left me with some unease as the Incubus left without getting an answer from me.

June failed to turn up at the cafeteria, but she had sent me a message by phone that she was getting haunted by the tomboy so she couldn't get us a 'peaceful meal spent together'. I sent her a reply telling her I would be 'busy' talking with the Demonology Club's president over some urgent matters.

I had expected her to suddenly barrage me with questions over this person' sex, their intention, and if I was planning to cheat on me, but she went offline as soon as she got my reply and I could tell it wasb ecause Tai was trying to look into our conversation.

This was getting out of hand, and I was planning to personally involve myself as soon as I was done talking with the President.

I just didn't expect for the president to be Kishimoto Anri.

That was a name I heard about through June. She was a few years younger than both of us and she had started Highschool just mere months ago. For her to rise up to the presidency of the Demonology Club meant that 1) she was a nepo-baby or 2) she was powerful enough to warrant the seat.

I soon understood it was a mix of both as she was fully introduced to me as we spoke in the humble space provided by the school to the club. Other demon-teens looked at us with intrigue, but I was most shocked by her full name.

"Introducing Lady Bael-Kishimoto Anri, daughter of the Third Bael Demon of the Enlightened Pillars."

I am not that familiar with Demonology or the Hierarchy in the 'Infernal Underworld', but I recognized the name Bael as an important one and I could tell that the girl, albeit younger than I was, was quite 'powerful' by mere aura alone.

Her hair, styled in long twin-tails, was mostly white with a single frontal bang of violet. Her yellow eyes had the usual demonic slit style but lacked the dark sclera most of the more common Succubi had nowadays. Her horns were by far the most noticeable. Thick and big as they sprouted from slightly above her ears and curved upward.

"Edano Tadahisa, I finally meets you."

She grinned. "Become part of my club with my girlfriend!"

I heard some demons gasp in shock at this sudden proclamation. Humans were not invited in this club because it was demon-exclusive. For this to happen... well, I wasn't sure I wanted to contemplate the possible reasons just yet. Not without further reasoning from the other side.

I frowned. "What?"

"I want you, and your murderous GF, to join my club as... tentative human-demon initiative."

"Bullshit."

Her eyes widened, and another few demons gasped at my rebuttal.

"W-What?"

"June and I have done nothing to warrant this 'kindness'. And I know well enough about the Club's policies to know this isn't an act of benevolence. Unless there is a legitimate reason, I see not why I should even accept such a silly request, Anri-san."

The demon girl pouted and then... smiled widely.

"Ah! I knew it I wasn't seeing things wrong, you truly are an unique entity, Tadahisa-nii~!"

"Still, to answer your question..." The girl walked up to me and then stood quite close. "I want you two under my protection since it will allow me to stand up to same lenghts of the First Bael himself!"

"I don't follow," I quietly remarked and she nodded. "What do you mean with that?"

"Tell me, Tadahisa-nii... is it not weird that some random tomboy just remembered playing with June-nee and she has no recollection of that? I mean, how common of a situation it is for that to happen?"

Awfully common.

Still, these words were implying that...

"Someone put false memories on Tai's mind."

"Yep!" Anri beamed at my correct guess. "See, Tadahisa-nii, this world is ruled by big players. Gods, Demon Lords - dumbasses that can't for their own good allow some simple people live life without either being fucked or fucking. And the fact that you are trying to have a nice monogamous wholesome and very vanilla life with June-nee means that you are a threat. Not the first one to try this but... a lucky one, because you have me."

"You don't like this system-"

"Duh, do you know how annoying it is that I have been asked out so many times? Do you know how infuriating it can be to remind everyone that I am fucking aro-ace?!"

"That sucks," I quipped and she nodded.

"It sucks donkey balls," Anri growled, then smiled again. "Which is why you are the ones I am looking forward to ally myself to. I can provide you with assistance, protection, and even support in cases relating to 'external interventions'. All with the simple price of joining my club."

"...I am unfamiliar with the club's policies-"

"There will be no harassment towards any of you from any members. We keep things clean here."

"Then we have a deal."

Anri appeared stunned by my immediate acceptance. "J-Just like that? Don't you want to ask for more benefits?"

"Would you offer them?" I asked back and she grinned cheekily.

"Nope~! Still, I am glad that you could see my view and... worry not about June-nee. My agent will now take care of Tai's false memories and spare her from trouble," Anri yawned a bit. "Now you may leave. I will have you both given an introduction to your chores in the club starting tomorrow. I don't wish to be an uncaring leader to my new... friends!"

I left with a nod, but I was very unsure how much honest Anri had been about that explanation. Sure, her preference would explain her rumors of not liking to spend time with others, but it sure had to be bad for a Succubus to just not feel intrigued by romantic/sexual situations.

I found June waiting me outside the school and she finally started to ask the many questions about who was the President and what she was up to. She was a bit pissed it was a 'woman', but seemed to calm down the moment I told her what was going to happen starting tomorrow. She was still miffed over me not telling me, but mellowed as soon as I mentioned I didn't want to stress her out while she dealt with Tai.

Cuddles were thus mandatory once at home after we were through our homework but...
