The pitch-black Grimoire
"So….this is the power of a…..Megid General…." Utama muttered through deep breaths.
"So….strong…." Kecil said in agreement.
With the Sword of Logos Magic Knight, who is wearing the armor of Gladius, is panting heavily whilst using his equipped sword as a walking stick.
"Are you ready to give in and let me past? You're wasting your energy at this point." Storious pointed out before glancing behind them towards an archway that leads into the interior of the sealed shrine.
Utama spit blood out of her mouth.
"Over our dead body." Utama responded in a tone of defiance before glancing towards her sister.
"Sis. I think that we should get our third sister involved." Utama said, making Kecil nod her head in response, knowing what her twin sister is referring to.
The two of them got back-to-back just as the pages of Utama's Grimoire began to turn before stopping.
"Card Magic: Lovers." Utama announced, causing a large image of a card to appear underneath the Arcana sisters, depicting the tarot card "The Lovers".
Gladius and Storious watched as the two witches's bodies began to merge into each other, forming a new person whose multi-coloured hair and eyes seemed to have a glowing effect to them.
"Oh? You two can combine. That's witches for you, possessing rare forms of magic." Storious commented in an interested tone as he examined the two person.
"Stuff it, Megid General." The fused witch responded in an aggressive tone of voice before dashing forwards.
"Card Magic: Strength." The fused witch announced, causing an image of "The Strength" tarot card to appear which then merged with the witch, which then cause an aura to appear around her and when she got closer to Storious, she swung her two swords.
Storious raised his sword to block the attack, but became surprised at the strength behind the attack.
"Not only their bodies have merged, but their Mana have combined and multiplied." Storious thought as he was pushed back.
The fused witch continued to attack the Megid General who moved in the opposite direction to avoid getting struck.
It was that moment that the Gladius appeared and swing his sword.
However, Storious easily blocked the sword attack with a Mana-Skinned covered hand.
"What a weak sword attack." Storious muttered before the Megid General pushed the sword to the side and then pressed his open palm against the Gladius's stomach and released a Mana-Bullet, sending the Sword of Logos Magic flying backwards before crashing onto the ground.
"You okay?" The fused witch responded whilst glancing over her shoulder, yet in an uncaring tone of voice.
"Y-yes, I'm fine…..uh….?" The Gladius began to respond but stop as he was unsure how to call the fused witch.
"My name is Takdir." The now known Takdir introduce herself before quickly switching her attention back towards the Megid General.
"Card Magic: Magician." Takdir announced, summoning "The Magician" tarot card to appear and eldritch-like energy started to surround Takdir.
"Writing: Cancel." Storious announced with an opened Grimoire, creating a darkish-red ball which destroyed Takdir's preparing spell when he sent it flying.
"Tch." Takdir muttered in an annoyed tone of voice.
"Here, let me cast the spell instead. Writing: Card Magic." Storious announced, replicating the same spell that Takdir just fired at him.
The fused witch jumped to the sides to avoid getting hit by the eldritch-like energy.
"How dare yo-" Takdir began say but stop when she wobbled slightly.
"Hmm. It would seem that the physical damage that your two…."components" have received are slowly catching up to you." Storious commented, tilting his head to the side slightly.
"Shut up you." Takdir responded whilst glaring at the Megid General.
It was at that moment that the Gladius took the opportunity to perform a sneak attack.
The sudden appearance of the Sword of Logos Magic Knight cause Storious to move back, just missing getting hit by Gladius's blade.
However, Gladius wasn't finished as he kept on swinging his sword, forcing the Megid General away from the sealed shrine.
Managing to find an opening, Storious fired a Mana-Bullet, but luckily Gladius managed to block the Mana-Bullet by using the flat side of his blade.
However, the impact caused him to be pushed backwards.
"I don't have time to deal with minors." Storious said in annoyed tone of voice, making a tick-mark to appear on Takdir's forehead, just as his Grimoire began to glow.
"Writing: Duplicate." Storious announced, causing a duplicate to appear beside him.
"He'd created another!" The Gladius said in a stunned tone of voice whilst Takdir started to becoming concerned at the condition that she's in…..before sensing that something is out of place.
"Writing…." The two Storious began to announced, causing the other "two" to become on guard.
"Flame Magic." The two Storious finished their announcement, causing two explosions to occur, consuming the fused witch and the Sword of Logos Magic Knight.
"Hmph. I doubt that they can survive that." One of the Storious said in a confident tone of voice, making the other nod their head before the two of them turn their attention towards the sealed shrine.
However, before they could began to head towards the shrine, a Mana-Bullet shot out of the smoke, catching the two Storious's attention whilst one of them swiping the Mana-Bullet away with his arm.
"So, you've managed to survive, eh?" One of the Storious commented just as the smoke began to disappear, revealing two alive Takdir and Gladius with two shields hovering in front of the fused witch and the Sword of Logos Magic Knight.
"But I'd expect that your pool of Mana is almost dried out." The other Storious commented, tilting his head to the side slightly.
As if in response, Takdir's body began to glow before separating into Utama and Kecil.
"Oh no!" Kecil said in a stunned tone of voice.
"I guess that I was right then." The same Storious said in an amused tone of voice.
"Tch." Utama muttered in annoyed tone of voice.
"But I guess that we should really finished you three off….permanently." The first Storious commented before the two of them raised their arms and prepare to fire Mana-Bullets.
However, it was at that moment that two people appear in front of the two Storious and attacked "them", preventing "them" from attacking.
"Chief Olivia! Saber!" Utama and Kecil said in voices of relief whilst the Gladius simply sighed in relief as the "two" Megid Generals moved back.
"Oh? So you two have arrive." One of the Storious commented just as Saber and Olivia became surprised at each others presence.
"Y-yes. The situation is under control." Olivia responded, overcoming her state of surprise.
Saber nodded his head in agreement.
"Tch. It looks like I have to eliminate the two of you before I can proceed." The two Storious said at the same time, causing Saber and Olivia to become on guard.
"Fools." A third Storious thought as he glanced over his shoulder at the battle that is occurring outside through the doorway.
In reality, Storious created two duplicates of himself with the two of them fighting Saber and Olivia whilst he sneaked into the Sealed Shrine.
The interior of the shrine is that of a medium sized room with pillars lining the sides of the room along with multiple cabinet-like boxes.
However, Storious is at the far end of the room where alter of some kind is set.
"Now then, time to claim that forbidden power." Storious muttered as he turned his attention back to the alter whilst holding a cylinder-like shaped object which is sharpened at the bottom whilst having a circular piece at the top and seemed to have a crystal-like appearance.
Storious placed the cyan-coloured key into a slot which is located on a stone block before turning the circular piece to the side, causing the top section of the stone block to open, revealing a book of some kind held in chains.
The room is suddenly filled with a chaotic Mana.
"Despite still being sealed, the forbidden powers yearns to be free." Storious thought as he picked up the book.
"Now, time to leave the Penyihir Mountain." Storious thought as he used his magic to create a spatial portal.
"Hey!" A voice shouted, causing Storious to glance in the direction of the shout to see the three witches, Saber and the Gladius standing in front of the entrance, the shout coming from Olivia who is wielding King Excalibur for some reason.
"Return that tome to the alter at once!" Olivia said in a serious tone of voice whilst pointing King Excalibur at the Megid General.
"I'm afraid I can't do that. I did put in a lot of effort of coming up with the plan on stealing this tome after all." Storious responded in a calm tone of voice, him expecting that the others would rushed towards the Sealed Shrine when they felt the chaotic Mana.
Olivia growled in anger.
"Farewell, enjoy the feeling of despair at the fact that you failed to protect the forbidden power." Storious explained before turning his attention back to the still opened portal.
"Like hell we're going to let you escape!" Saber shouted as he dashed forwards, followed by everyone else.
With a quick swipe of his free arm, Storious sent a wave of Mana flying forwards.
However, using the wings of the "Storm Eagle" Wonder-Ride book, Saber was able to dodge the wave of Mana quickly, but the others weren't luckily enough as the crashed onto the ground.
"Saber! Don't g-" Olivia began to say, but Saber wasn't listening as the swordsman of flames flew through the closing spatial portal, which Storious already walked through.
Silence filled the room for a few seconds until Megan spoke.
"So…..what do we do now, Chief Olivia?" Kecil asked in an unsure tone of voice as she and the other two look at Olivia who has a deep frown on her face.
With Saber, the swordsman of flames came flying out of the portal and crashed into a bolder.
"Ow….." Saber muttered as he fell onto the ground.
"Eh….where did I end up?" Saber asked himself as he got up off the ground and glanced around.
His eyes widened when he saw that the sky is different.
"I'm…..back in "home" world." Saber thought before looking at his surroundings, seeing that he has landed in a rocky area of some kind.
"That's some entrance." A voice commented, yet in a slight mocking tone of voice.
Saber spun around towards the source of the voice.
"Storious! I'm going to take that book back." Saber said in a determined tone of voice.
"This?" Storious questioned as he glanced down at the book in hand.
"Why should I hand over this tome to you, someone who has little knowledge on this tome?" Storious questioned again, causing Saber to become tense.
"Well, I do have experience with Demonic Mana." Saber pointed out in a weak tone of voice.
This cause Storious to chuckle.
"Maybe that's true, but this is something completely different, which we will take full advantage of." Storious explained in a dark tone of voice.
"I'm going to take that book back!" Saber repeated before charging forwards.
"Writing: Sand Magic." Storious announced before summoning a sand storm, consuming Saber.
"That should keep him occupy." Storious thought before preparing to fire a Mana-Bullet.
However, it was at moment that the sand storm is cut in half, revealing Saber in his Dragonic Knight form.
"So you managed to break free." Storious commented, yet in a slight annoyed tone of voice at how quickly the swordsman of flames managed to break free from his spell.
"I have experience with fighting against a Mage wielding sand magic." Saber responded, making an image of Shamshir appear within Storious's head.
"Hmph. No matter." Storious responded in a simply tone of voice before firing a Mana-Bullet at Saber.
The swordsman of flames rolled to the side before continuing his charge towards Storious.
When Saber got in ranged, his Grimoire opened.
"Fire Creation Magic: Flame Dragon's Metallic Scales." Saber announced, creating scales which covered his fist before aiming at Storious's stomach.
"Ghe." The Megid General grunted as he took a few steps back before summoning his sword and swinging it towards Saber.
Luckily, the swordsman of flames managed to block the attack.
"Writing: Magma Magic." Storious announced, creating solidified magma.
"Fire Magic: Flame Dragon's Metallic Shield." Saber quickly announced whilst jumping back, conjuring a shield in front of him which block the incoming solidified magma and sent them flying back.
However, when they struck the Megid General, he seemingly vanished.
"What?!" Saber thought in a shock tone of voice before gaining a strange sensation.
The swordsman of flames spun around to see Storious with a raised hand which is glowing.
"Fire Creation Mag-" Saber began to announced the same spell, but was interrupted as Storious was quicker with swinging his sword downwards.
"Gah!" Saber exclaimed as the attack struck him before getting kicked by a Mana-Skin covered leg.
"Have enough? I think it's obvious that you can't accomplish your objective." Storious pointed out in a blank tone of voice.
"What did he do to me?" Saber questioned, starting to gain a bad feeling for some reason.
"I'm...not….giving up!" Saber shouted before pressing the open page of "Dragonic Knight", summoning the "armored" Brave Dragon.
The appearance of the red mechanical dragon surprised Storious, giving Brave Dragon the chance to attack the Megid General, using it's tail to smash Storious on the head.
Saber lunged forwards and managed to snatch the book out of Storious's hand.
"Wh/Fire Creation Magic: Flame Dragon's Metallic Fangs!" Saber announced quickly, creating fire-shaped daggers which the swordsman of flames sent flying towards Storious, forcing the Megid General back.
"Hah! I managed to get the book back…?" Saber said before having a good at the book.
"A...Grimoire?" Saber said, becoming stunned as he took in the details of the cover of the pitch-black Grimoire which has bone-like patterns along with an open book-like emblem.
"Yes, that Grimoire use to belong to the Calibur who took part in the battle to seal the beast. but as you may know, those who wield Kurayami tend to act differently than the others due the foresight ability they gain from the sword of darkness, and this Calibur wasn't any different, seeing futures that shows everyone dying, resulting in them falling into despair. However, despite seeing the horror-filled future they saw, the Calibur of that era sacrificed themselves in order to weaken the beast, creating a future where the Sword of Logos Magic Knights were victories, sealing the beast within that Grimoire before Calibur died and the Grimoire had the chance to fully disintegrate." Storious explained the story, causing Saber to become stunned.
"This….use to belong to a previous Calibur….." Saber thought as the swordsman of flames stared at the pitch-black Grimoire, feeling the chaotic Mana which he assumed is originating from the beast.
"And now your going to attempt to use the power of the beast to cause destruction." Saber guessed, making Storious nod his head in response.
"Obviously…." The Megid General responded before a small thought appeared in his head.
"But Grimoires can only be wielded by those who the Grimoire has bonded with." Saber pointed out, making Storious nod his head slightly.
"That maybe true, but I can simply over come that obstacle with my magic." Storious responded, causing a frown to appear underneath Saber's helmet.
"I've reclaimed the pitch-black Grimoire, so all I need to do now is to get back to the others. Although it would be tricky to open a portal whilst being chased by a Megid General, so what should I do?" Saber thought, looking at his options which are very little since he's still a wanted man within the Clover Kingdom.
It was at that moment that cracks appeared, quickly snaking across the ground until reaching the swordsman of flames who then got consumed by an immense amount of heat.
"OwOwOwOwOw!" Saber exclaimed in pain as the heat over took him.
Acting quickly, Brave Dragon used it's tail to quickly get Saber out of the boiling earth.
Saber rolled on the ground for a few seconds before stopping just as his armor disappear.
"Erh…" Asta groaned in pain after a few seconds of silence, making Brave Dragon gain a relieved expression on its face.
With Storious, the Megid General looked in the direction that the attack came from and saw Liegel coming from behind some large rocks.
"I'm glad to see that you managed to get to the meeting point." Storious commented in a calm tone of voice.
"Barely. That damn swords-woman of mirages is keen on taking me down. By the way, Desast decided to show up." Liegel explained, causing Storious to gain a slight surprise expression on his face.
"Desast? He's certainly becoming unpredictable ever since reclaiming his Alter-Ride book from Kamijo." Storious commented, starting to become slightly concerned.
"By the way…" Liegel began to say whilst glancing towards Saber, who is out out of his armour whilst still recovering from his attack.
"Why did you let the swordsman of flames take back the pitch-black Grimoire?" Liegel asked, a hint of anger can be heard within his voice.
"Saber….pulled a surprised attack on me." Storious responded in sheepish tone of voice.
This caused Liegel to groan in annoyance.
"Should I slowly sneak away and then make a dash for it with Brave Dragon?" Asta thought, trying to come up with an idea.
The ash-white hair teen slowly took a step back.
"You know, I wouldn't mind giving you the forbidding power, Saber." Storious suddenly spoke, causing the other three to gain shock expressions on their faces.
"Did Brave Dragon's attack messed with his brain?" Asta thought in a confused tone of voice, glancing towards the red mechanical dragon.
"What did you just said, Storious?!" Liegel shouted, becoming stunned.
"I just thought it would be beneficial for the wielder of Rekka to use the forbidden power to take his revenge on the Clover Kingdom." Storious responded in a calm tone of voice.
"My…..revenge?" Asta asked, not sure if he heard Storious correctly.
"Of course. Even though you are innocent, you've been wrongfully punished for being a threat to the Clover Kingdom, all based on personal opinion and even though the right-hand man of the Wizard King wields memory magic, the Magic Parliament doesn't seem interested in using one of the most useful magic in investigations." Storious began to explain, making Asta flinch slightly.
"And if that isn't bad enough, the Magic Parliament decided to turn your fellow Magic Knight squad members into enemies. Even though you seemed to show a positive personality, but deep down, there's a part of you that's full of rage and sadness, wanting to take revenge against a corrupt upper-class." Storious further explained, making Asta to become silent, negative emotions starting to bubble to the surface.
"Hm. It looks likes that spell I cast on him is working." Storious thought, sensing the rising negative emotions.
It was at that moment the pitch-black Grimoire began to glow and then the chains broke away.
"Huh?" Asta said as he brought the pitch-black Grimoire closer to his face which then spring open onto a page.
The text on the page started to glow and Mana started to flow into Asta who suddenly gained an image of a boy standing along by himself.
"What I'm see-!" Asta began to thought before gaining a strange feeling, resulting in the ash-white hair teen tightly closing his eyes.
When Asta opened his eyes again, he found himself in the throne room when he met Floges.
This time however, the room is in ruins with cyan-coloured flames consuming the places.
"What's happ-" Asta began to say, but sensed a presence behind him, causing the ash-white hair teen to spin around and his eyes widened when he saw a beast covering in the same coloured flames looming over him.
Asta could only stare in shock just the beast got closer to the ash-white hair teen and draped it's right arm onto Asta and a wave of negative emotions washed over him.
"What's wrong with the brat? He's just staring at the text of the Grimoire." Liegel asked, starting to become slightly curious as he and Storious stared at Asta whose head has rolled forwards.
Storious was about to say something, but was stop as the pitch-black Grimoire became covered in a cyan-coloured light and when it died down, it has transformed into a new slightly large Wonder-Ride book which has a black boarder whilst having an image of skeletal dragon, possessing cyan-coloured bones, who seemed to be holding a black orb of some kind in it's right hand. Above the skeletal dragon is the title of "Primitive Dragon".
"Oh?" Storious said in an interested tone of voice, becoming curious.
Asta took a deep breath before looking up at the two Megid Generals and his eyes began to glow purple.
An ominous air seemed to fall onto the area as Asta rolled his head before opening "Primitive Dragon", revealing that the new Wonder-Ride book a slot with it.
The great ancient dragon seizes the power of the books!
The Wonder-Ride book announced before a standby sound started to play.
Asta then took out "Brave Dragon" and began to place it into the open slot of "Primitive Dragon".
Brave Dragon suddenly lunged forwards as it started to gain a bad feeling.
However, it was too slow as Asta successfully placed "Brave Dragon" into the slot.
Brave Dragon! Get!
A voice announced, causing lighting to surround Brave Dragon, making the red mechanical dragon roar in pain before disappearing.
Uncaring about the fate of the Brave Dragon, Asta continued with placing "Primitive Dragon" into the Seiken Sword-Driver.
Asta then unsheathed Rekka, but this time putting the sword in a reverse grim, whilst piece of the open cover sprung open, creating an image of an armored warrior clutching "Brave Dragon".
Unsheathe the flames!
And there we go, the battle against Storious, the Gladius that has arrived from the main branch of the Sword of Logos and the Arcana sisters who showed their card magic, something that is probably obvious by now, before Saber and Olivia appeared. However, Storious managed to steal the tome that the beast is sealed within in and when Saber recovered the tome, it is revealed to be a pitch-black Grimoire which then transformed into the "Primitive Dragon" Wonder-Ride book and took over Asta's conscious.
In Gotchard:
1) Mr Minato attempted to receive additional aid from the association in regards with the new appearance of Kamen Rider Dread, but was ultimately refused with the higher-ups question some of the claims that Mr Minato made that weren't mentioned in the report before instructing Mr Minato to gather all 10 of the level 10 Chemy Cards by the end of the year. With the students, they are attempting to cope with the absence of Sabimaru whilst Houtarou questioned if the EX-Gotchalibur is able to be used differently. With the Dark Sisters, Clotho stated how Sabimaru how he will drop dead the next time that he uses the Dread-Driver with Atropos commenting that they will extract more information out of him.
2) Houtarou, with some inspiration from Ryo, came up with the idea of attempting to summon (10)UFO-X again in the hopes that they may be able to break Dread's control over Sabimaru. At that moment, the Dark Sisters attacked the school with Spanner and Mr Minato fighting them, plus Dread, whilst the others, along with Ryo, attempted to summon (10)UFO-X which they were successful in doing. However, the level 10 Chemy decided to kidnap Houtarou and took him to the Ouroboros Realm where Houtarou asked it how to properly use the EX-Gotchalibur to which (10)UFO-X responded before taking him back to the school. Transforming into Super Gotchard:UFO-X, Gotchard managed to free Sabimaru and defeat Dread.
So we have the first power-up form of the series in the form of Super Gotchard:UFO-X, most likely one out ten forms, and Houtarou went back to the Ouroboros Realm, if only briefly. I find it disappointing that we haven't been told any information regarding the Ouroboros Realm. With the Alchemy Association, I'm starting to gain bad vibes from them.

1) Well, if you thought that Asta getting taken over by Primitive Dragon is the ending point of the battle of the Penyihir Mountains, then you are correct.
2) With the ongoing theme of the Reiwa Kamen Rider series where the Rider and allies have to face the organization that they are a part of, then I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happen here, it could be the reason as to why Fuga stole the Gotchard-Driver and the 101 Chemy Cards in the first place. Now that I think about it, the sword itself is strange since it is stated level 10 Chemies can't be captured, yet EX-Gotchalibur is designed to wield the powers of the level 10 Chemy cards. It could be that there was someone in the past that was able to tame the level 10 Chemies who then went on to create the EX-Gotchalibur.

1) Most of the OC Kamen Riders are ideas that people have given me, so I feel that I should include them in the story. Anyway, it's not like I'm planning on having them in the story all of the time.
2) We are entering the Primitive Dragon arc, so I suppose that's something.
