A/N: I have no idea how I came up with so many chapter titles. Yeah, some may have been awful, but they were something. I had trouble thinking of something at first, but now... I think it's time for the beginning of the end. So sad :(
Also: 8 freakin' years and almost 3 months since the last update, holy shit. I didn't think it was that long since I updated. This is one long story though, so heavy writer's block probably would happen.
Also also: the fact that my creativity is most likely slipping. I do wanna continue/finish this story, I really do... it's just very hard :( and to be clear, I am Autistic with a big love for MLP and Lucky. I write these fics so I can escape into the world I love so much as my own character. So please... don't be rude...
Also times 3: I wish I had done the first person narrative, as Lucky Fire is me and I am her. She's my very first OC (as I had given the backstory of how Lucky was made in one of the previous chapters) and my online persona for the longest time. Then I became Phoenix (my Minecraft persona who is Lucky Fire as a human. Phoenix is her human name). So, in essence, I still am Lucky Fire, just with a human name.
Also times 4: I have gotten better at writing, if you have seen my latest stories. The Mianite ones. Idk if I should implement the better writing style here, as it's been this long that i've done the whole, everything together thing.
Also times 5: I don't remember if Pyro knows of the Elements of Harmony and that Lucky's family is them. Literally just read the last like, ten chapters and immediately forgot if there was any mention of that... I hate my memory. Although... maybe I could retcon it in and say that off chapter they have mentioned it and Pyro does know XD
Chapter 63: Elements of Harmony, One Last Call to Mission
A month passed (now July) and Lucky was doing her Princess work. She got to thinking about graduation and how she probably should have included the Elements of Harmony in the fight against the DMS. Pyro noticed.
"What are you thinking about, Mama?" Lucky sighed.
"I was just thinking about how I probably should have included the Elements of Harmony in the fight on my graduation day. Maybe we could have gotten more than just 5. Maybe I should even make a plan to ask them if they wanna help." That got Lucky thinking even more. "Y'know, maybe I should. They're the Elements of Harmony. They've done some amazing accomplishments too, well before I even arrived." Lucky sighed again, but this time out of annoyance. "Why did I not think of that before... and maybe even the Princesses and Shining Armor can help. Together, we might just be able to get most, if not all, of the rest of the DMS and prevent my vision from happening."
"Dat's a good idea. I miss Ponyville... this place, Hoofington, is too big... I wanna go back to the small place." Lucky chuckled.
"Small filly in a big city feeling, huh? But yeah, Ponyville is very nice. Not too much going on... well... most times. But there's no hustle or bustle of this big city. Y'know what, I'm gonna visit everypony, rather than write. I feel like this is a situation where I need to ask them all in person (A/N: again, saying 'person' because 'in pony' sounds kinda odd) rather than in writing. This paperwork I can just do when we get back." Pyro got an excited look on her face. Lucky put her Princess stuff on.
"'We'?" Lucky nodded.
"I want to bring you with me, get you out of the apartment and big city. You'll even get to see Canterlot, that's where Aunt Rarity and Aunt Fluttershy live." Pyro was very excited to hear that she'll finally be visiting Canterlot. "I think we'll ask Ma and Mom first, then we could ask Aunt Pinkie, then Aunt Twilight. Aunt Twilight could then teleport with you to Canterlot." Pyro nodded. Lucky sent out a thought to Twilight. 'Hey Aunt Twilight, could you teleport here? I need to come back to Ponyville and wanna bring Pyro with me, but still don't feel comfortable with teleporting her with me.' Twilight teleported right away.
"Why do you need to come back? What's wrong?"
"Nothing's wrong, I just have some questions for the Elements of Harmony." Lucky grinned. Twilight got a look of surprise on her face.
"You mention the Elements specifically. Are you gonna ask what I think you're gonna ask?" Lucky's grin stayed. Twilight grinned right back. "I'm up for it if the others are, and I'm sure they would be. 'One last rodeo', as AJ would say." Lucky's face fell.
"'Last'?" Twilight got serious.
"Lucky, we are getting older. We can't be the Elements all our lives. Sure, we're still young and fit enough now, but who knows when the next time will be when we'll need to be called on again." Lucky sighed.
"You're right... I hate it, but you're right. But who will take on the titles of the Elements when you guys no longer can?" Twilight took on a thoughtful look.
"Y'know, good question. We'll have to ask Celestia that."
"'We'?" Twilight nodded.
"Yes, we'll gather everyone, then head to Canterlot. You can teleport multiple ponies, I've seen it when you did so during your graduation after we got the 5 DMS ponies. You can teleport yourself and your mothers. I'll teleport myself, Pyro, and Pinkie." Lucky nodded. She can do that.
"Let's go right now, the earlier we do so, the more time we have to get everypony," Lucky suggested. She went over to Sweetie Belle who was listening to the whole thing. Lucky nuzzled Sweetie. "We'll be back later, most likely after you've gone to work. I'll see you when you get home, though."
"Ok, see you later. Say 'hi' to the others for me?" Lucky smiled.
"Of course." Lucky turned to Twilight. "Let's get Aunt Pinkie first, then we can get Ma and Mom." Twilight nodded and teleported with Pyro to Sugar Cube Corner. Lucky teleported as well. They appeared outside and walked in.
"Lucky and Pyro? What brings you two back so soon?" Pinkie asked.
"I need to talk to everypony. We're going to Canterlot," Lucky answered. Pinkie was confused, but agreed to come. The 4 went to Sweet Apple Acres next for Applejack. They found her watering crops. "Ma!" Lucky called. Applejack looked up.
"Hey, Sugarcube. What's goin' on?" Applejack hugged Lucky.
"I gotta round everypony up. I have a question for you all and I thought of a question for Celestia that I think everypony should be there for." Applejack was also confused, but nodded and followed everypony to the park. Lucky is gonna fetch Rainbow and meet them back there. Lucky took off for the sky to look for Rainbow. Rainbow was kicking out clouds when Lucky found her. "Mom, I need you. The others are waiting at the park. We're going to Canterlot to get Aunt Rarity and Aunt Fluttershy and go to Celestia." Rainbow nodded and followed. She was also confused. They flew to the park to meet with everypony.
"Ok, Lucky will be teleporting you two, Applejack and Rainbow, with her and I'll be taking Pinkie and Pyro with me," Twilight instructed.
"I just realized, you're taking the ponies whose names start with the letter 'P'," Lucky pointed out, giggling. The others all giggled/chuckled too. (A/N: the mind of an Autistic XD That's me, I'm the Autistic) Applejack and Rainbow stood with Lucky and Pinkie and Pyro stood with Twilight. The two teleporting ponies teleported with their ponies and appeared outside of Fluttershy's vet office. They walked in and Lucky asked if Fluttershy was available. It took a few minutes, but Fluttershy came out of the back.
"Hi, everypony. What's wrong?"
"I need to speak to everypony and we all need to speak to Celestia." Fluttershy, like everypony else, is confused, but goes along after making sure things will go well while she's gone. "Do you know where Aunt Rarity would be at this time?"
"Well, it depends. She could be on an errand, delivering a dress, or in the castle making a dress." Lucky nodded.
"Hopefully in the castle or we run into her if she's out and about." The others nodded. As they were walking, Pyro was taking in the sights. Thankfully they ran into Rarity while she was out and about. Even luckier, she was done with what she was doing. The luck of Lucky Fire coming in clutch. "Aunt Rarity, we need to talk with everypony and with Celestia. Drop your stuff off and meet us in Celestia's throne room."
Rarity, again, like the others, was confused, but nodded. They went to the castle together, but split off as Rarity went to her sewing room to drop her stuff off. The group reached the throne room doors and the guards bowed to Lucky. Lucky smiled at them and used her magic to open the doors. Celestia and Luna looked up and were surprised to see them all.
"To what do we owe this visit?" Celestia inquired.
"Once Aunt Rarity gets here, you'll find out," Lucky replied. It wasn't long before Rarity came into the throne room. "Ok, now that everypony's here." Lucky turned to the Elements and Pyro went behind her. Lucky got a Princess aura around her. "Elements of Harmony," The girls blinked in surprise. "you are needed once again. I cannot take down the DMS on my own.
"I realize that I probably should have kept you in the fight and maybe we could have gotten most, if not all, of them when they attacked during graduation. I may be a Princess, but I cannot take down a whole organization on my own. I need the help of the Elements. Will you gather together, once more, and help me in 6 days' time?" They stood strong and puffed out their chests determinedly.
"We will help you, Princess Lucky Fire," all 6 said. Lucky inclined her head then turned to Celestia and Luna. Pyro went behind her again. She knows Lucky needs to address the ponies directly without her in the way.
"Princess Celestia, Princess Luna," Celestia and Luna hid their surprise, but Lucky felt it. "will you also help me? I shall also ask Cadance and Shining Armor. Together, all of us can take down the DMS. As I mentioned, together we can get most, if not all, of them."
"Princess Lucky Fire, we shall join you and the Elements. We would be honored," Luna replied. Lucky smiled and inclined her head.
"I look forward to fighting alongside all of you." Lucky looked at the Elements and back to Celestia. Her Princess aura went away. "Now, speaking of the Elements, Aunt Twilight brought up a good point earlier. Her and the other Elements are getting older, and they can't keep being the Elements all their life. If they're needed again while they can't fight anymore, who will become the new Elements?"
"This should be their last time. If the Elements were to be needed again, they'd manifest as different ones far, far in the future. They did this time. Here, let me show you something," Celestia answered. Celestia and Luna stood up and led everypony to the public library.
"We are heading to the restricted section," Luna said as we walked through the library. Twilight was over the moon at hearing about a restricted section.
"There's a reh... a reh... a reh..." Lucky put a hoof on her shoulder.
"Breathe, Aunt Twilight," she said, grinning. (A/N: look familiar? ~grins~ Forgotten Friendship, the Equestria Girls special. I am currently watching it because I needed to remind myself of the restricted section and why it needed to be accessed so I could possibly include it here. I think I can include it here lol) The others giggled at Twilight's reaction. Celestia and Luna led us all to the restricted section and they used their magic to pull out two books. Those books had their colors and cutie marks.
No wonder why they both needed to be here to open it. The bookcase moved to the side to reveal a doorway. They all went through it. It was a short tunnel and then they entered into the actual area. They were all amazed, Twilight was losing her mind, and the others were laughing at her antics. She was zipping from place to place, absolutely fascinated. Celestia was looking through the books, trying to find the one she is looking for.
"Ah-ha, found it." We all went over to her as she opened it. She flipped through the pages and landed on the one she needed. "Right here, it tells of the Pillars of Old Equestria. Strength, Hope, Beauty, Bravery, Sorcery, and Healing. Honesty, Laughter, Generosity, Loyalty, Magic, and Kindness, respectively, as they are now known as the Elements of Harmony. If these 6 are needed again, they'll be needed far, far into the future and be known as something different."
"I see. Very interesting. I wonder if they really will be needed again in the future? I could fire read and see when we get back to the castle," Lucky said.
"Do you think you could see that far into the future?" Twilight asked.
"Who knows? It's worth a shot," Lucky said while shrugging a shoulder. The others nodded. They all left the restricted section and Celestia and Luna closed it back up. They went back to the castle and over to the fireplace. Lucky lit it with her fire magic. She sat in front of it while the others all sat around her, Pyro sitting in front of her in between her forelegs. Lucky closed her eyes and focused on seeing the future, if the Elements will ever be needed anymore after the DMS.
Once she felt she could look, she opened her eyes and watched the fire. She watched as she got her own castle on the edge of Ponyville when she moved out of her family's apartment and Sweetie Belle moved in the castle with her. Lucky had to have been 21. She watched as Pyro grew up and Lucky, herself, getting as tall as Celestia, her adoptive family getting older, her leading Ponyville with kindness. She watched as she helped other ponies with problems, her Aunt Twilight helping her help others as well.
She watched as her adoptive family all passed of old age, herself looking more and more Princess-like. Pyro had her cutie mark, of course. A heart made of fire. It looks like Pyro is going to help Lucky rule. At this point in the fire, Pyro would have long moved out by now, so that's how Lucky came to the conclusion that Pyro is helping now. Sweetie Belle is also older, but Lucky looks young still. Must be an Alicorn Princess thing. Celestia and Luna themselves are over a thousand years old, so... Lucky will long outlive her loved ones.
That saddened Lucky, but she understood. So, she didn't see anything that is going to be a threat. The fire then jumped about a thousand years. It told Lucky that, so that's how she knew. There was a new threat to Equestria, but her family, that she knows now, were all long gone. She still has her future family and friends, of course. It looked like her friends were with her as she's planning on trying to defeat this new threat. It looked like she was leading 6 ponies to a different part of the castle.
She led them to a locked room that she used her magic on to unlock it. She went over to a chest and unlocked that with her magic, too. She looked so sad as she levitated the contents out. It was the Elements of Harmony! No wonder why she looked so sad. She began to cry silently, remembering her family. The 6 ponies all comforted her. She smiled gratefully at them and put the Elements on them. Now, Lucky can hear.
"Emerald Shine (Unicorn, female, reverse Fluttershy's mane and coat colors and that's Emerald's coat and mane. These ponies I had made YEARS ago, not knowing I'd be using them here. I Pinkie Promise. And her eye color is, you guessed it, emerald green XD), your predecessor was known as Rarity, the Element of Generosity. Your new title is going to be the Keystone of Hospitality." The shape of the gem stayed, figures, but it did change color to green, for emerald.
"Star Dust (Pegasus, male, black with white splotches all over his body, midnight blue mane and eyes), your predecessor was known as Rainbow Dash, the Element of Loyalty. Your new title is going to be the Keystone of Faith." The shape changed from a lightning bolt to a star and changed to midnight blue.
"Crystal Pumpkin (Earth pony, female, from the Crystal Empire, light orange coat, orange mane, brown eyes), your predecessor was known as Applejack, the Element of Honesty. Your new title will be the Keystone of Guidance." The apple changed to a pumpkin and stayed orange.
"Optimistic Ballad (Earth pony, male, green coat, yellow mane, buck toothed, has round glasses, and blue eyes. He's adorable, I adore him. He's one of my faves XD He's well, as his name suggests, optimistic about everything), your predecessor was known as Pinkie Pie, the Element of Laughter. Your new title will be the Keystone of Belief." The balloon changed to a music note and changed to be black.
"Moonlight Sonata (Pegasus, female, pale yellow, like End stone in Minecraft, coat and eyes, and white mane), your predecessor was known as Fluttershy, the Element of Kindness. Your new title will be the Keystone of Grace." The butterfly changed to a crescent moon and became the same color as Moonlight's coat.
"Sunset Shimmer (A/N: I'm sorry, but seeing as there is no Equestria Girls in this whole story because of when I started this whole fic, I felt it right to include Sunset, somehow, to make up for the fact that I had no way to include EQG in this story), my prodigy. My student. Your predecessor was known as Twilight Sparkle, the Element of Magic. She was the greatest magic user in all of Equestria, and now, that has been passed on down to you. Your new title will be the Keystone of Divination, which combines Magic and Prophecy." The star changed to a sun and became red.
"You all collectively will be known as the Keystones of Peace. The oldest were the Foundations of Love, when this world first began, 4,000 years ago. So, we've had the Foundations of Love, the Pillars of Equestria, the Elements of Harmony, and now the Keystones of Peace.
"The Foundations of Love were Fuchsia Sky (Alicorn, female, fuchsia, but more on the purple side, like a deep lavender, really, coat, same mint blue mane as Lucky and eyes are same color as mane), the Foundation of Compassion, which became the Pillar of Healing, which became the Element of Kindness, which is now the Keystone of Grace.
"Celeste (Alicorn, female, coat is the same color as Lucky's mane, her mane color is spring green and pink, yellow eye color), the Foundation of Nature, which became the Pillar of Strength, which became the Element of Honesty, which is now the Keystone of Guidance.
"Selena (Alicorn, female, midnight blue coat, silver mane, pale yellow, like End stone in Minecraft, eyes), the Foundation of Tides, which became the Pillar of Beauty, which became the Element of Generosity, which is now the Keystone of Hospitality.
"Rogue Fire (Alicorn, female, red coat, yellow mane, and orange eyes), the Foundation of Light, which became the Pillar of Sorcery, which became the Element of Magic, which is now the Keystone of Divination.
"Stella (Alicorn, female, white coat, midnight blue and normal blue mane, blue eyes), the Foundation of Optimism, which became the Pillar of Hope, which became the Element of Laughter, which is now the Keystone of Belief.
"And finally, Burning Fire (Alicorn, female, red coat, orange and yellow mane, red eyes (Rogue Fire's older sister)), the Foundation of Fortitude, which became the Pillar of Bravery, which became the Element of Loyalty, which is now the Keystone of Faith. I have every bit of confidence in you all that you all will live up to your new titles. Now, make me proud, my little ponies." They puffed out their chests, determined. Lucky's fire reading ended there. Lucky shook her head fast and looked at the others in disbelief and amazement. She told them everything that she saw. They were also stunned.
"Well, it looks like this really is the last rodeo," Applejack commented. The others nodded, a little sad, but they knew this couldn't last forever. Lucky hugged each family member, thankful for the long time they do still have together.
"Oh, and Sweetie Belle says 'hi', before you all go." They smiled.
"Thank you for passing the message along, Lucky. Now, I think we should get back to work. It's starting to get later in the day and we've still got to get stuff done," Rarity said. Everypony nodded, Twilight teleported with the Ponyville ponies back to Ponyville, and Rarity and Fluttershy went out and back to their places.
