Before the inevitable clash between Holomyth and the androids, let us rewind some time and watch how the group was founded. One night, a certain apprentice of a grim reaper decided to take a break from her training and went to the human plane to take a stroll. She happened to open a portal to a beach where the half moon was reflected on the relatively calm water of the ocean and the splashing of the sea on the shore had a surprisingly calming effect on her. There were also no humans to be seen so she had the beach all to herself. As she was passing through the passage of those 2 planes, she began to inhale the fresh air and started to forget the stress she recently had. The portal behind her began to shrink as she walked away from it. Step by step she began her walk. The cold sand touching her bare feet was somehow warming her up and letting her forget more of her worries. She suddenly felt more alive than ever before. Her walk became jogging, her jogging became running and her running became sprinting. She sprinted across the sand and screamed her lungs out of joy until she ran out of breath. She stopped and panted from the pain she just caused herself, but it didn't ruin her mood in the slightest. In fact she was still smiling. If anyone was in the proximity she would die from embarrassment but she was sure that no one was here. After the small recovery of her breath she raised her head and noticed the clear sky with these strange white dots. In sort of a trance, she reached her hand above her head and asked herself aloud:

"Are those the so-called stars?"

"I think so. But I am also not so sure." Shocked with the answer, she snapped her head to the source of the voice. It belonged to a small girl with white hair lying on the shore and her body covered with seaweed. Her eyes were still glued to the sky, and it seemed that she did not notice the other guest and answered her subconsciously. The apprentice, confused with the situation, asked another question:

"How long have you been there?"

"Don't know. Don't care."

"How much did you hear?"

"About what?"

"... ehmmmmm... Meeeee... screeeeeeeamiiiiing?"

"... maybe"

"can you please forget..."

"Ok."

"...what happened tod... wait, what?"

"Like I said. Don't know. Don't care."

"Wow, thanks. By the way, are you alright?"

"Yes, why are you asking?"

"Because you are practically naked on the beach and the water is reducing your body temperature, which could kill you."

"Is that so? Did not know that you humans were so fragile." The apprentice was surprised by that statement.

"You are not human?"

"Nope. I know little about your race. So it's kinda nice meeting one."

"I am also not human"

Finally, the small girl was moving her head to the stranger.

"Oh my lord!?" the girl screamed. "What are those massive balls on your chest! Are those human fashion trends?"

"Ok, first off, rude. Second, those are my natural boobas. And third, who or what are you?" Her new find still fascinated the small girl.

"Wait, they are natural!? How in the name can you stand, walk or even swim in the water like this...I mean... WHAT AM I EVEN LOOKING AT!?"

"You know what? It was a pleasure meeting you..."

"WAIT!" the girl screamed as she was getting up. The seaweed was hanging around her shoulder and some kind of fish leather was underneath it, used as her cloth. "I apologize for my comment, but I mean... It is my first time seeing anyone of your kind."

"Well, I forgive you, if you finally answer my question: Who or what are you?" The girl stood up and put her left hand on the right side of her chest.

"I am Gawr Gura and I believe I am an ex-resident of Atlantis. And you are?"

"MoriCalliope, a grim reaper apprentice..."

"GRIM REAPER!? I thought you were a myth!?"

"As I thought about you, when I heard you say 'Atlantis'. By the way, why are you an ex-resident?" Gura closed her eyes and put a small smile on her face as she was facing toward the sea. Calliope noticed a huge shark tail hanging from the back of Gura which made her believe that the girl in front of her was really an Atlantean.

"I was bored and wanted to explore other parts of this world. However, Atlanteans are quite... stubborn and proud of their isolation as proof of their strength. Which is why I had a big fight with my family... I still miss them, but I feel like... I am not welcome anymore..." Gura's eyes slowly moved to the ground, and then she looked up at Calliope. "By the way, Mori..."

"It's Calliope, but you can call me Calli."

"Ok, 'Caaalllliiiii'..." Calliope suddenly felt a giant regret. "How much do you know about humans? Because I need a guide and help to survive here." Gura said with a small embarrassed smile as both of them suddenly heard her stomach growling. Calliope signed, but offered help:

"Well first you need to dry yourself and get some clothes. After that, I can invite you to dinner." The grim reaper apprentice turned around and reached her hand out. A small spark appeared a few inches away from her hands which ignited a small black flame, forming an oval which grew to a fitting height and width for its summoner to pass through. Gura, excited by this sight, let a loud "Oohhhhhhhhh" out and saw a very dark room behind the portal. "Is this your home world?"

"Yes, it is... Did not think I would be back this soon..."

"Why?"

"We can talk about this later." Calliope went through the portal, followed by Gura. "You should dress up first so that you don't stand out too much. We don't want anyone to kidnap you because you are an Atlantean."

"Ex-Atlantean"

"Still another race." Calliope went to one of the drawers, searching for fitting clothes.

"And what about you?" Gura continued asking questions, while scanning through the room with her eyes. "You are a grim reaper and nobody seemed to want to kidnap you?"

"First, who wants to kidnap someone whose job it is to literally kill them. Second, for some reason, humans seem not to be able to see me." Calliope took a towel, underwear, a big T-Shirt, trousers and a blue hoodie out. "Here's a towel and something to change for you. There's the shower. You are welcome to use it."

Gura was taking the clothing from Calliope. She stood there for a second, then asked: "What is a shower?"

"Really? You don't have one of those?" The shark girl shook her head. "Well, since on land, we get dirty easily. This is why we use water and soap to get rod of the dirt from our naked body... Just use water to rinse yourself and with this cloth here...", she pointed at the towel, "...you can get rid of the excess water from your body. Here on land, we do not like that our clothes are wet. Understood?"

"Loud and clear!" Gura answered proudly. However, the concept of washing oneself is still too new for her. Calliope ended up going with her in bathroom to shower the enthusiastic shark girl.

"Well.", she said in disbelief. "That just happened. Let us get some dinner. Are you done changing?"

"Not yet." Gura replied. "By the way, what are we going to eat?"

"At the place of an acquaintance of mine. I am sure you will love it. Their food is really good."

"REALLY!?" Gura shouted excitedly as she was entering the same room as the reaper. "Then let us go there."

"Very well."

She raised her hand and another portal appeared. Both of them passed through it and landed in a fast food restaurant.

"This way." Calliope guided Gura to a table. "Since you cannot read the language here, it is probably better for you, if I read it out loud for you."

"No way! I want to try reading first!"

"Heeeeyyyyy...", the reaper tried to lower Gura's voice, "I would rather not be perceived as impolite, but this restaurant is almost closing. Barging in like that is already rude enough. So to not irritate the staff here, we should hurry and order something."

"At least let me try, please. I promise it won't take long."

Calliope sighed and said with a little smug face: "Ok, give it your best shot. By the way, the restaurant is called KFP. It stands for Kiara fried phoenix." She handed the shark girl the menu.

"There is phoenix meat on the menu!?" Gura shouted as she received a large laminated paper. Calliope shushed her down. While trying to decode the menu, the Atlantean was wobbling on her chair. After a few minutes, she gave up:

"I can't read this!"

"So you really never learned any other languages?"

"Noooo. As I said before, we are still living in isolation, so we only know the official language and some dialect deriving from it. And because you are also speaking in Trahen, I thought, humans also have our alphabet."

"Oh that. Yeaaaahhh... I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I only speak and read Morga. I use str... 'Reaper Magic' to translate languages."

"Ohhhhhhh. Teach me! Teach me! Teach me!" Gura demanded as she was jumping on her seat.

"Sorry, can't do that. It is 'Reaper magic' after all, and I am sure that you cannot learn it because you are not a reaper."

"Party pooper" said the shark girl as she quietly sat down on her chair.

"Party pooper indeed!" said a new voice. A young lady with orange hair and an orange employer uniform approached the duo. "I was coming here to see what all the commotion was about, only to find out that my favorite grim reaper apprentice is visiting me again. By the way, she is always serious, and I haven't seen her smiling once."

"Really?" asked Gura. "Wasn't she laughing a whi..."

"Ehemmmm..." Calliope interrupted and reminded her of the current situation: "You know, I can withdraw my invitation."

"Don't mind her," said the employee. "Meal is on me if you tell me that story. By the way, the name is Takanashi Kiara, owner of this restaurant."

"Heeheeyyy Kusotori." Calliope tried to intervene, but Gura got off her chair and put her left fist on her right chest.

"I am Gawr Gura. I appreciate your offer, but I would rather not offend my first friend ..."

"We're not friends"

"Potential first friend here. I am new to this area and hope that she could help me to show the ins and outs here."

"Wow, what a surprisingly polite girl we got here." said Kiara. "So, have you decided what you're gonna order? Oh, and Calli, my special menu still stands. *Wink* *Wink*."

"No, thanks", Calliope answered, a bit annoyed. "I'll take the usual. As for the shark girl..."

"Shark girl!?" Kiara said surprised.

"Yes, Ma'am!" said Gura. "I am an Atlantean."

"I always thought it was a myth."

"Well, you don't seem to be surprised that she is a grim reaper... Wait, did you know that she was a grim reaper!? Have I said something that I shouldn't!? Caaaaalliiiiiiii, are you now taking our lives to silence us!?"

"Relax... Gura was it?" Kiara tried to calm her down. "Since you told me your secret, I feel like that I also mention that I am a phoenix and she and I are the best of friends."

"We're not!" Calliope disagreed again.

"Wait, are you really serving fried phoenix meat then!?" asked Gura with saliva starting to drop from her mouth as she was staring at Kiara.

"Wellllll..." Kiara tried to calm her down by raising her hands in the air and metaphorically pushing her down. "Serving phoenix meat is, in general, impossible. You see, whenever a large body part comes off from a phoenix, this part will quickly turn to ashes or, with training, to weapons. This is why the meat we serve here is chicken. But the breading is mostly phoenix ashes, which is why our chicken dishes are so black."

"Oh." said Gura, disappointed. "Well, just give me something you recommend. I am too hungry to choose."

"Alright! Kids Menu Nr. 4 for our adorable little sharkie here!" Gura was too shocked to comprehend what she just heard and couldn't put her words together. "Hmmm... Is something wrong?" asked Kiara. "Do you not like Nuggies?"

"I AM NOT A CHILD!" shouted Gura in the restaurant.

"Well, good thing that nobody comes in at this hour." Kiara stated. "And I am sooo sorry for assuming your age. From your appearance and our perspective, it seemed like you were a little child."

"I am also surprised." Calliope commented.

"So, to let you all here know that I am in fact 9.751 years old!" Gura shouted again, which surprised the other ladies even more.

"Oh my," said Kiara. "I felt with my years being here a little old. But that... Now I am suddenly feeling young again." Kiara laughed at her joke.

"Wait, really? I thought you were at least 15,000 years old!" Gura wondered. Everyone was now confused.

"Hold on!" Calliope said, trying to solve this mystery. "How many months are in your years?"

"What are months?"

"Days?"

"What are days?"

"Ok, how old are you tomorrow?"

"If I am 9.342 years old today..." Gura was thinking out loud, "then tomorrow I will be 9.163!"

"Wait, how did you become younger!? Also, have you changed your age just now!?" Kiara asked even more confused.

"To be honest, I always forget how old I am as it changes every year. I just know that I am about 9.000-ish years old."

"Gura," Calliope said calmly, trying to resolve the misunderstanding, "I think, what you call a year there, we call here a day here. And a year here contains about 365 days."

"Ohhhh, my bad." Gura apologized for the confusion she created. "I genuinely did not know that."

Kiara laughed at the situation. "Apology accepted. Know what? Even though I just got a new employee, I can still hire you. It's a win-win situation, right? You have a wage here and can learn the ways of humans and I can get to know you better."

"Really?" Gura asked with very shining eyes.

"Heeheeeeyyyyy..." Calliope said, as she didn't like the idea. "Gura, I doubt that this work environment is suitable for you."

"Why not!?" Gura and Kiara asked Calliope.

"BECAUSE." the grim reaper apprentice was taking a pause to recollect her thought. "You still don't know anything about humans, and thus you do not even know what common sense here is. You ALSO need to learn how to speak and write as the both of us", Calliope pointing at Kiara and herself, "are mostly using... 'pseudo magic' to help us with translations, though, Kiara is quite fluent in the local language. So, you need more time to learn the basics to even think about living and working here. And a job as demanding as a KFP employee is something you should avoid at first."

"Then what about this?" Kiara tried to change the offer. "Instead of working right away, you can first live at my place and I can teach you about in and outs here. After a few weeks, you can then slowly start working here. Or does a certain person also oppose it?" After a few seconds, the reaper sighed.

"No, sounds good." Calliope finally agreed. "I mean, you are practically living here, and I am nothing more than a tourist... who only comes here for work purposes..."

"Oh yeah, by the way, why are you here? Normally, you would be sitting here with your sensei."

"I am taking a break from my training."

"Oh. And what are your plans?"

"I don't have any yet. But this certain shark girl here has taken my interest. So yeaaaaaaah... I would also like to take your course on human culture too, if it doesn't bother you." Kiara was very excited by the news and inhaled a lot of air in her lungs. "I promise you, you two will not regret it!"

"Nice!" said Gura. "But I have an urgent question: What are Nuggies?"

Kiara laughed again.

"You will see. And I am certain that you will like them. I will go and get your orders." After the meal and the conversation between the three of them, Gura was shown by Kiara her new room to stay. The next day, the lessons began. The shark girl was surprisingly fast at learning the language of this county, which was English, and its culture. However, she also came in contact with the internet and adapted quickly to its culture to the concern of the others. She even tried to use some terms to a few customers, before the other employees desperately tried to stop her. Despite these mishaps, Kiara was very impressed by her performance. Gura was shortly promoted as the general manager of KFP. Her life seemed great, she learned a lot about this 'new world' of hers and had a lot of fun interacting with most of the customers. There were a few who really irritated her, by either complaining all the time about this restaurant or treating her as a little girl who was forced to work here. Despite these few unpleasant memories, this fast food restaurant had begun to grow on her. But still, something felt wrong. So on one closing evening, when everything was cleaned up and after roughly 8 years after she ran away from home, Gura went to the chief's office, where Kiara was working on some documents and asked:

"I have a request."

"No, you don't get a raise." Kiara replied without looking up.

"No, it's not about that. I was actually thinking about my time working here..." Kiara's head finally moved up and looked her in her eyes as Gura continued with her request: "...and I really love this place here..."

"Guuuuraaaaa..."

"...aaannnnd I was thinking..."

"DON'T YOU EVEN DARE..."

"quitting my job and becoming a streamer for the time being, as my test account was kinda successful and want to try this more out. It also has more variety than working in the restaurant. In return, you can get a share from my income and I can still offer my help to KPF on major events and hope that you don't get too angry at me..." said Gura very fast in hope of Kiara not overreacting to the sudden news. However, the phoenix wasn't muttering a single word as she kept staring at the ever shrinking shark girl with her furious eyes before she screamed:

"ARE... YOU... FREAKING... KIDDING MEEEEE! You little... unthankful... piece of sh*t! Is this your thank for me taking you in, giving you a transformation amulet and showing you the way of the human plane? Huh!?"

"I mean...", said Gura very quietly.

"Speak up, I can't hear you!"

"I mean...", said Gura this time with more confidence. "The whole reason I ran from home was, so I could see more of this world. But here I am, working in one place and not really seeing much of the outside of it."

"And you hope to see more by isolating yourself more in a room and speaking to yourself?"

"I am not really talking to myself..."

"And do you really think that you can earn more money with streaming than working here?"

"Not really my point..."

"Besides, you can still learn a lot here, don't you?"

"But currently, I want to do different things, like streaming..."

"Howdy, y'all.", Calliope came in with a cowboy hat and a cowboy accent. "I done heard a little buhrd screamin' hair."

"Okay Calli, not now please." said Kiara irritated.

"Why? I done thought, ya like maah cowboy accent."

"That was months ago after your vacation from Texas. It was funny back then, but it's annoying now." Gura was trying to get help from the reaper by silently saying "Please, help me." to her.

"Well, kay-yun't prevent sumone's passion. I also thihnk ya should let her do her thang. It's not nahce ta force her."

"Don't I pay you to slaughter some chicken? Why don't you slaughter some more?"

"Already done it. Besides, I not doin' this pahrt taahm job for money. (Eve-yn though maah savin's ahr kinda runnin' dry.) But ya shouldn't cayge her like that and let her be a streamer. I found her videos very entertaining."

"Wait, you watched my streams!?" Gura asked, embarrassed.

"Can I also quit and become a streamer?" a girl with violet hair asked as she came in.

"Not you too, Ina..." said Kiara. "You know that you work here because of your father. And it would be your best interest, not to disappoint him, don't you agree?"

"Well, my 'Taco Eats' delivery service was not really a success and drawing the same comic for the last 8 years is kinda mundane and boring, and I wish for more diversity... So, streaming sounds appealing and if I recall correctly, my father told me that I, Ninomae Ina'nis, should have some fun in the human plane."

"Well, you can still improve your social anxiety by working as a waitress or as a cashier. It is one of the concerns of your father."

"Wellllll... Streaming can also help as I am talking to thousands of people."

"Online..."

"Well, it is a step and sounds more fun. I believe that he forgives me, right?" Kiara has no arguments against that.

"Sounds fun, I ahm also in." said Calliope.

"Not you too, Calli..." Kiara sighed. "If you all quit at the same time, it negatively impacts this KFP restaurant and its reputation, you know. So I can't release you all at once."

"Ehmmm... Kusotori..." Calliope said without her cowboy accent. "You know... We all know that you are worried about these two as they had no prior experience in the human plane, which is ironic in the case of Ina, but they have already learned a lot and are creating numerous interests in different things, which are not always good..." Calliope is looking at Gura who replied with a "What?". "But as a proper guardian, one should let their children experience as much as possible. Both, the good and the bad, and let them judge each and everything for themselves. If you isolate them in one and only one place to protect them, then you are not guarding them, you are imprisoning them in your selected world."

Kiara sighed again and felt defeated by these three women. "Alright, you win. But you are only allowed to leave after 4 weeks from now on. I need to rework the schedule and a few logistics things for a smooth transition." Gura and Ina'nis screamed in joy and gave each other a high five.

"BUT!" Kiara said loudly. "I am also joining in your little fun. I am curious about your new work environment."

"What about your work here?" Ina'nis asked.

"Don't worry. One of my sisters is definitely willing to take over for me. She still owes a few of her years to me." Kiara laughed menacingly. Meanwhile, Ina'nis was thinking about something and asked the group:

"When we all are starting to stream, how about debuting as a group? And since we all have some mythical origin, we can call ourselves something with 'myth'."

"Holomyth!" Gura shouted.
