Second chapter y'all, sorry it's coming late and sorry it's short.
enjoy.
The very next day, they were all set to leave. Their things had already been packed and sent ahead of them. They were using a Portkey, more convenient than apparation, especially with Harry with them.
Diana walked into the living room, Harry with her. She took out her wand and cast a Tempus Charm. It was 1:30 PM. She told the boys to get ready and meet her in the living room by 1:30, but of course, that never turns out the way she wants. They're seven kids, for Merlin's sake.
She sighed and turned to look at Harry. Squatting down to his height, she still had to explain the concept of a Portkey to him before they left.
"Okay Harry, the way we're going to travel isn't the normal way of traveling that you know, it's the magical way of traveling."
Harry cocked his head to the side. "Are we going to fly on brooms?"
Diana chuckled, of course Harry would ask that. "No Harry, we're not flying on brooms. Where we're going is too high for us to use brooms, plus none of you are of age yet." His eyes widened, and he looked like he wanted to ask more about the brooms. Diana raised her hand. "That's a discussion for another day, Harry."
He nodded and she continued.
"Well, we are using what is called a Portkey," she stood up then reached into her cloak and pulled out four toothbrushes. She showed it to Harry. "This are Portkeys."
Harry just looked more confused. "But those are toothbrushes?"
She nodded. "That's what it looks like, but once you touch it and say the password, it'll transport you to your destination, in our case, to our home in West Wales."
The house is completely unplottable and can't be found on a map, whether magical or Muggle. It also can't be found with a tracking spell, well, unless you really know where to look. It was built by the first generation of Northerns that decided to take up residence in the United Kingdom.
"That's so cool." He said in awe.
Diana chuckled. "I know."
She ruffled his hair. "You're one of us now, Harry, don't forget that."
He looked so happy, and Diana knew in that moment that she loves him so much.
