Chapter 26: A Serious Discussion(Adrien's POV)

Walking up to Keith after the meeting, Adrien takes a deep breath. There was just no way that Hawkmoth could've been there. Absolutely no way. He admits his reaction wasn't the greatest during the meeting neither was his reaction to the Peacock Miraculous being in Keith's possession earlier today. But it just hurt that his 'brother' kept the miraculous from him. Surely they could come to each other with whatever is plaguing them. But he has to get this over with.

Gently he asks, "Keith, did you really see Ha….him?"

Keith turns to look at him, still looking shaken up. "Yeah I did."

"But…."

"It's impossible because he was killed accidentally a few years ago. I know. But I saw him, he was right next to her, smiling in delight as Honerva was using the Quintessence to bring that mech….." Keith trails off, shutting his eyes as to rid himself of the memory. Did his fath….Hawkmoth really impact him that much? To be afraid of him? He knows he doesn't have pleasant memories of the man himself, but he's not scared of him.

"You really saw him?" Kagami asks, walking up to them along with Zoe and Chloe.

"But…"

"Chloe can't you see that he did actually see Hawkmoth however impossible that might be. I know he didn't tell us about the Peacock Miraculous but that's no excuse to see that Keith really did see him beside Honerva."

"His other friends didn't see him…."

Kagami shoots Chloe off a look that makes her trial off.

"Besides, Keith did us a favor by keeping the Peacock all to himself. If Felix had gotten your baton with the Peacock who knows what untold horrors we'd have to face, And it would have taken us longer to end the war because Mayura could have come back and helped him." Zoe replies.

"Yeah it was smart and besides Master Fu, while a great teacher to you Adrien, lost the Peacock in the first place. I wouldn't trust him to keep an eye on it." Kagami states.

"I suppose." Adrien admits, "But it just hurt that you couldn't tell us how you acquired it."

"And I'm still not ready to tell you all just yet."

He opens his mouth to question why when Zoe cuts him off, "And that's okay. We need to focus on Honerva anyway." Then she smiles, "By the way Adrien and Chloe were totally freaking out about you not telling them about the Peacock Miraculous after their anger faded. They were like I'm his brother he could have told me, I'm his girlfriend he could have told me about it. It was such a mess."

"Zoe, you didn't have to tell him that," Chloe says, irritated.

Keith then chuckles, "And here I was worried that I made you all mad."

"You did, but I think once we got over the shock, we were just really worried about why you didn't tell us, not angry. And I'm sorry I got upset about you seeing fath….Hawkmoth. I was just shocked." Adrien admits. He was nervous to ask him about seeing Hawkmoth and getting more clarification about what he saw, after the shock died down.

"I'm glad. I'm just not ready to tell you guys at this exact moment."

"Like Zoe said, it's okay Keith. You're our friend, and our teammate and we don't want to push you into doing something you're not comfortable with." Kagami says.

Chloe nods, "Yeah, I think we only pushed earlier because a flurry of emotions was going inside our minds. So sorry."

"It's okay I forgive you all."

Then they all get into a group hug and it feels right. Embracing all of them like this, being a team, being friends. All of it is right.
