Chapter 35: Let's Have Some Festival Fun!(Part 1)(Allura's POV)

Allura leans into Kuro's chest, her ears hearing his heartbeat.

"Are you sure you don't want to come? Like you said it would be a good time to distress and have some relaxation after all the craziness we've been through."

"I'm just not in the mood."

"What because of Lasam's condition, the meeting in which we learned nothing relative to Honerva's plan?"

"Yes! We just seem to be getting nowhere and I cannot enjoy myself while Honerva remains out there and undefeated."

"Then can I at least get you something?"

She turns her face towards him. "Perhaps something sparkly?"

"Will do. And don't feel bad about Keith it was my idea to get his point of view of Hawkmoth from him."

"Don't fault yourself. It was a good idea."

Kuro chuckles, "Until it backfired. But seriously don't blame yourself for anything. We can't have known that Lasam would have been killed for spilling Honerva's plan to us if it weren't for Lotor."

"But…."

"No but's Lura. There are some things that are out of our control. Like me coming into existence. No one saw me coming. Just like you couldn't see what would happen with Lasam or Keith. And neither did I. No one can predict what can happen."

"Expect Slav." she mutters.

He chuckled at her response and she laughed along too, feeling lighter already. But she still can't bring herself to go to Clear Day with him. She just doesn't feel in the mood to try and party.

Shifting his weight, he moves to get ready to leave. Her heart pangs at the thought of him leaving, but she lifts her head off of him and sits up. Watching him go she sighs. Getting up she then looks at the Altean Juniper Berry flower Colleen gave her a few days ago. She can't believe that there was a plant so similar on Earth that they genetically modified it to be an Altean Juniper Berry flower. Taking in its smell it also makes the heaviness she feels disappear just a bit.

Turning around she lays in her bed and tries to go to sleep. Perhaps things will be better in the morning.

Shiro's POV

Shiro is surprised at the Festival laid before him and the Paladins. It feels so surreal to actually be in a place where his friends were without him. Adam is by his side and he grapes his hand. A proper date, after their very causal one before Launch Day.

A brown furred Sandiean appears in front of them.

"Hello Paladins of Voltron!" It greets.

Marinette replies, "Hello Dringneir! It's a pleasure to meet you again."

"Likewise. But who are these other ones, and Shiro, why are there two of you? And where is the Blue Paladin Allura? I thought she'd be coming to distress. That is why I invited her after all."

Marinette chuckles, "One question at a time Dringneir we can't answer all of them when you spout them off one by one like that."

"My apologies."

"Anyway to answer your question about why there are two mes is because this a….my…ah…"

"Clone." Kuro says for him. "I'm his clone."

"Incredible, you two look just like each other except for the mechanical arms."

"And as to why Allura didn't come down with us is because she isn't feeling well," Kuro adds.

"I hope she gets better soon."

Kuro smiles, "I hope so too."

"And who are the people I haven't met?"

Adrien introduces himself and points at the other members of Team Miraculous introducing them as well, including Keith.

"And I'm Adam, Shiro's boyfriend." Adam says, introducing himself to Dringneir.

"He's quite the catch, eh, Shiro."

He nods, embarrassed whilst also blushing.

Commander Holt then introduces himself, his wife, son and the MFE pilots.

Dringneir smiles. "Well I hope you guys enjoy the festival. You each get ten complementary tokens provided by me. If you need anything else or more tokens I'll be watching the arm wrestling contest. And Listia is nearby where the food stands are and Grogo is nearby the rides. Have fun!"

"Who are….."

But he is interrupted by Kuro, "I'm going to try and win something for Allura. She said she wants something sparkly….."

"I'll help out. She's my best friend and I love to help make her feel better " Marinette states.

Lance replies, "I'll help too!

"Thanks," Kuro says as Marinette and Lance run off together to try and find something for Allura. Kuro also takes off.

Adrien then wraps his arm around Keith, making Keith look at him confused. "And we're going to show you a good time!"

"That's not ness…."

"You wouldn't have come along without us begging you to come hangout with all of us like old times. So let's hang out!" Zoe replies linking one of her arms with Keith. Then Adrien and Zoe drag Keith away with the rest of the friends following behind them.

He then notices that Commander Holt and the others have also already left, leaving Adam and him alone. Smiling weakly, "So about some rides or something?"

Adam grins "Sounds perfect."

They kiss and then head off to enjoy the festival as best they can. But Shiro can help but think he should be with Keith, helping Adrien and the others cheer him up after that disastrous meeting they had between the twelve of them. Speaking of which, where is Pidge? He then shoves those thoughts down, he's here to enjoy Adam's company, to relax, to forget about their mission for a while. So enjoy it.
