Chapter 41: Knights of Light(Aftermath)(Keith's POV)
Once they land inside the bay area. He walks out of his lion and takes his helmet off. He notices the others are already out of their lions and Allura is draped across Lotor's arms. His anger once again returning he demands, "What happened?"
Shiro answers him, "We don't know. When we came back she was just slumped over on the floor of the Black Lion."
Lotor adds, "We didn't get out in time. She's alive just…"
He loses it, "You know what this wouldn't have happened if you were just willing to give Honerva a chance."
"Keith…." Shiro begins, but he continues, "What I saw from her deepest desires wasn't to rule the world, it was to have a family. And when we slashed through her memories, there are memories of her searching for Voltron, for you! She cares a lot about you!"
Lotor snarls, "You don't know anything! She was mean and cruel….."
"But at least she regretted it, which is more than I can say for some parents."
"Oh really and who's so bad that she beats the witch?"
"Gabriel Agreste."
Gasps go all around the room and Lotor snarls, "You think this 'Gabriel Agreste' is the worst parent ever, well my mother treated me like dung!"
"At least yours searched for you instead of trying to revive her dead husband and terrorize a whole city to get some magic jewels to grant her a wish to bring him back and ignored you in the process whilst also making you keep up to a ridiculous set of standards, punishing you when you weren't the nearest but perfect by taking away your social privileges and stop you from going to school, whilst also chastising you for running away and kicking out your closest friend who you consider to be a brother on Christmas night! Christmas Night! Which scars you so badly that you have a breakdown before an akuma arrives and you have to fight an akuma in your current mental and sleep deprived state along with said brother who was kicked out! And then continue to justify the wrong behavior by saying 'oh yes once I get the Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculous none of this will matter because I will wish for my perfect family back and nothing will go wrong'! Then when it was revealed that she is indeed Hawkmoth saying it was all for you and that she never met to hurt you but just get your father back so we could be a family again! Oh and in an alternate reality killing you because you are Chat Noir and being unfazed by it because once she gets Ladybug's miraculous all would be fixed and it won't matter that you died because it will 'never' have happened in the first place! Despite the possibility that she will remember what she did even if the wish does recreate the world for her perfect family to exist!"
Absolute silence meets his words.
He then turns to exit and says, "So I hope you're happy with the damage you caused because you believed the witch was the worst when in fact the worst parent is Gabriel. And he wasn't even corrupted by quintessence or forgot his son existed."
