Chapter 45: Epilogue(Shiro's POV)

Shiro sits at a large table near a statue of all Five Lions with the rest of the Paladins, including the members of Team Miraculous. They are all wearing formal attire to celebrate the Lions of Voltron and their sacrifice that allowed them to be here. He can't believe it's been one year since then. Looking at Adam he smiles and stands up raising his glass and dings it with a spoon. The others stop their small talk and look at him. He swallows, nervous.

"Me and Adam are engaged."

Cheers erupt around the table, with Keith saying, "Congratulations guys. When's the ceremony going to be?"

Adam stands up beside him, "We haven't decided on a date but we decided we should take this step in our relationship. Especially once we start that flying circus we were telling you guys about. Don't want the single females to get any ideas."

Everyone laughs, making him feel a little embarrassed. Marinette asks, "And how is it going?"

"We've just looking for a suitable plane that can withstand all the tricks I'm going to do. It's going to be nice to fly and not have to worry about enemies shooting me down." Shiro tells them.

"That's good. Altea's rebuilding is almost nearly complete."

"And how are Luca and Romelle doing?"

"Perfect. They're the best royal consorts I've had. Well they are the only royal consorts I've ever had. But they're doing great. Their ideas have really helped with the rebuilding process."

"Like that one idea you told us about. Where you hold workshops on Altean culture and history."

Allura nods, "Yeah. Those have been great in reestablishing our culture. Honerva is even teaching Altean Alchemy to those who are interested now."

Keith smiles, "That's good to hear."

"Yeah I was worried she wouldn't find her place in this new Altea. But turns out she really enjoys teaching and engaging with her students."

"Sounds like something she would like to do." comments Marinette.

"Uh-huh."

Pidge adds, "I'm glad she could find something she likes."

"Oh and how is project Chip going?" Marinette asks.

"We've finished everything and all that's left to do is boot him up once I get back."

"That's great!"

"I know right! I'm so excited. I can't wait to see his first moments of consciousness!"

Their idle chatter continues throughout the night about all the things they haven't told each other yet. Some of it is retreading told topics. He holds Adam hand, this night couldn't be anymore perfect. They all have futures and goals. Aspirations and dreams. The universe is at peace.

Him and Adam married each other shortly after that night. It was a spectacular celebration. All their friends attended and it was a nice ceremony. Their flying circus became a huge success and it was nice to fly without worrying about war. Him and Adam adopted three kids who shared their passion for flying. Hunk became one of the Ambassadors between planets, assembling a team of chefs and continuing to spread peace with yummy food made with each planet's finest ingredients. Marinette also joined him as an Ambassador and joined Hunk in his food making. Marinette started a fashion company as well that became popular across all planets, making her become a reputable designer.

Adrien decided to find out what he wanted to do with life, on top of being one of the seven miraculous Guardians. Kagami became one of the head tech specialists at the Galaxy Garrison along with Pidge. They also created the next line of Legendary Defenders in which Lance participates in. Teaching the younger generation and being a Legendary Defender himself. Zoe became a top tier actress, starring in several movies on Earth. Chole becomes an engineer thanks to her time in the Atlas in the engineer room with Commander Holt. She often works closely with Kagami and Pidge on big construction projects. Keith decided he liked teaching, because of his time mentoring the MFEs, became one of the instructors at the Galaxy Garrison. Teaching students how to be ace pilots. He also participates in the Legendary Defender program made by Kagami and Pidge.

The future can be uncertain or scary. But everything works out in the end. They saved the universe and brought peace to it. The Lions of Voltron sacrificed themselves to make this all possible, he owes them this life. This perfect peaceful life. He will forever look back at his time as a Paladin with fond memories.

But he is glad that those days are behind him. And that he and Adam have a life together. Have a family together, three adorable little children. And for that alone he will be forever grateful to the Lions who made it possible.
