A/N The Halloween episode is played for laughs, but several not funny things happen in it. Buffy is attacked and nearly raped by a possessed person for the second time. Willow becomes a ghost of herself, her body may have been protected by Magic or it might not have, it was Chaos Magic used after all. And it's only because she does become a ghost of herself that Giles even finds out what's happening, as he was totally oblivious. Ethan obviously expected him to show up based on the greeting he gave him, but how was Giles to know? Did Ethan intend to call him and gloat? And this is the night Xander got the military information downloaded into his head. But it's also the night he had a gun and was firing it at what he thought were monsters but were actually transformed children. A lot of people could have died and Giles turned his back on Ethan, a stupid decision that Ripper should have known better than to make.
In hindsight it's not such a funny episode, after all.

Molly Cooper had been using Magic for years and came from other Magic users, which meant she'd been born with some power already and had had to learn to manage and control it from a young age. It's why she was so careful with Magic, it was second nature to her. Most of the time Molly was a calm, peaceful woman who rarely experienced strong emotions. This Halloween night was rapidly becoming an exception as she made her way across town heading for the origin point of the wave of Magic that had moved through the town.
Children were hurt. She could sense the Magic around the little monsters she passed and her heart ached as she realized the only way to help them was to end the spell, but it was already too late. Some of them had killed, others had been killed themselves. Child monsters with nothing in the way of intelligence, acting on instinct.
She wanted to scream but firmly kept a strong hold on her emotions, the last thing anyone needed was her losing control of her Magic. She'd debated driving but the streets were a mess with people transformed by the spell and accidents had already happened as some adults transformed as they were driving and others had hit transformed people. The willful avoidance spell was going to have a hard time dealing with this mess.
Spike followed his minions to where they'd last seen the Slayer's sister. "The Slayer's kid sister," he looked at one of his minions. "You said she was probably about 12 and dark haired, unlike her fake blond sister, right?"
"Yeah, Boss." The minion nodded. "Or just tall, the mother is."
"So maybe a little bit younger. Extra for Dru, she likes kids after all. Alright, you know what she looks like and where she last was, find her!" He ordered and the minions spread out on the street around the last place they'd seen the Slayer's kid sister, who'd last been seen with her sister, the Slayer, before she'd transformed herself and ran off.
Alex had decided arguing with the transformed Jesse and Aura was useless and a waste of time, so he'd simply knocked them out and stuffed them in one of the bedrooms where they'd hopefully stay safe until this mess was fixed.
"We have to try to keep people from getting hurt." He told Cordelia.
"That's not going to be easy, Alex." She looked concerned. "Some of them turned into monsters."
"All we can do is our best." He tried to reassure her but he was scared as she was, half their pack had just been Magiced away. Worse, neither of their best friends recognized them right now. Hopefully once the spell ended that would change.
Willow puffed on the joint and flirted with the cute boy who didn't have much to say.
"Want to find some place private?" She asked him.
Oz's eyebrows climbed north. Willow really wasn't acting normal. Had Devon laced the joint with something?
"There she is, Boss!" One of the minions yelled as he spotted the girl known as Dawn and they took off after her.
Dawn had never been so scared in her whole life. She'd dressed as a werewolf for Halloween. A sassy werewolf according to the label, which had sounded fun. And then she'd realized the pinned on tail was moving and she'd tried looking over her shoulder at it only to completely transform into a bipedal girl werewolf. Still wearing the dress that came with the costume and she'd known she was a werewolf. Just known. Like it had been a fact for her entire life. At the same time, she knew it wasn't. How could she know both things?
Than she smelled something bad, like rotted bad. What was that stench?
And then she was surrounded by things that stank and had weird faces.
"Well looky here, the Slayer's sis all weak and vulnerable."
"Slayer?" Dawn asked,
"The Vampire Slayer, little bit."
"You're vampires?" Dawn asked. "Vampires are real? Buffy was telling the truth? Is that why you stink?"
"Oh, I'm going to enjoy using you as bait, niblet. My Dru's going to drain both you and your sis dry and then we'll go after your mum. Sound good?"
"Leave them alone!" Dawn growled.
"Make me." Spike laughed.
So Dawn did.
"Wrong choice, my Spoike." Drusilla murmured. "She wasn't the weak one the Slayer loves. Little sunshine is the strong one she loves. Puppies rend and tear."
With no one left to take care of her, Drusilla accepted that she was too weak to take of herself and quietly staked herself, leaving only a pile of dust behind.
