Chapter 2: The Plan:
Beowulf's POV:
I brought some soldiers with me.
"Is that the place," asks Breca.
"That's it," I said, "let's meet the King.
. . .
"Sire, this is Beowulf, and he wishes to speak with you," says Æschere.
"Your majesty, I would like to talk about your problem."
"It's Grendel," says Hrothgar, "he attacked us and ate many of my soldiers! I fear for the safety of my people and my wife and our children!" I then saw his children. "This monster must be stopped!"
"And I will be the one to do it," I said.
"Can you really save us," asks the Princess.
"Aye," I said, "I'll deal with your troll problem!"
. . .
We then discussed the plan. "My men and I will spend the night here," I said, "Grendel will come to kill us, but instead... well, let's just say he'll be in for a surprise!"
"Can you really kill this beast," asks Hrothgar.
"It shall be done," I said.
