Chapter 3: The Trap:
Beowulf's POV:
We were getting ready for bed. "Won't you need any weapons," asks Breca.
"I see myself as Grendel's equal," I said.
"I know you're good, but you haven't even met this thing," says Breca.
"I can handle this," I said.
. . .
That night, we all pretended to go to sleep... well, Breca ended up sleeping for real, but I woke him up. "Sorry," says Breca.
We then heard something. I feel like a kid whose Mother was checking up on a sleep over. Grendel came in. He was walking towards us. I then grabbed his hand. He then sees I'm not asleep. "Sorry," I said, "I thought you were my teddy bear!" Grendel screams. We then both got ready to fight. "Now this is what I call a slumber party!" We then ran towards each other.
