It tells the story of a hero named Beowulf, who gains fame as a young man by vanquishing the monster Grendel and Grendel's mother; later, as an aging king, he kills a dragon but dies soon after, honored and lamented. It's a prequel to Jack Frost.

5. Chapter 5 - Celebration

Chapter 5: Celebration:

Hrothgar's POV:

We were celebrating the death of Grendel. If it weren't for Beowulf, we'd still be dealing with that monster!

"I feel like we're celebrating too soon," says my wife, Wealhtheow.

"Nonsense, Wealhtheow," I said, "the monster is no more!"

"Father, does this mean we can sleep here now," asks Hreðric.

"Hreðric, Hroðmund, and Freawaru," I said, "we can finally relax! And it's all thanks to Beowulf!"

"My King, I could've beaten that monster," says Unferð.

"It's clear there is no warrior like Beowulf," I said.

Elvina's POV:

I was watching as they were having their little celebration. Well, they should enjoy it while it lasts, for tonight, I shall strike!
