Chapter 8: Beowulf vs. Elvina:
Beowulf's POV:
I was faced with Elvina. "It's time to end your life," says Elvina. I tried using Hrunting, but it could not harm her. She was then beating me around. "Did you really think it would be that easy?" She then threw me to the ground and was about to stab me with a short sword, but my armor saved me. I then found another sword, one made for giants. I grabbed it and used it to cut her head off! I then traveled further.
. . .
I found Grendel's corpse. I then cut his head off. The blade melts because of his blood, leaving only the hilt.
. . .
I then swam back to the surface, carrying the hilt of the sword and Grendel's head.
. . .
I presented the hilt and Grendel's head to Hrothgar. "Then... it is over," asks Hrothgar.
"Seems to be the case," I said.
. . .
Hrothgar gave me many gifts as a reward, including his family heirloom, a sword called Nægling. "Be wary of pride, Beowulf," says Hrothgar. I then left for home.
