Kazuki grinned at himself as he posed in front of a mirror checking out his new outfit.

"It's definitely colorful isn't it." Bloom said beside him as her eyebrow twitched, she looked unimpressed at his choice in outfits.

He wore a sleeveless tunic that was colorful with orange, blue and green patch work patterns, around his waist was a pink sash.

He wore orange pants with white socks and black slippers on his feet, around his neck and wrist were gold bands and a gold chain necklace.

They decided to stay on the same island for a few days to recover and have there new boat fixed, luckily Peinto and his father said that they would fix it up in a couple days with some additional add on's.

Since the ship was quite large they got to request some special things like Kazuki wanting a training room too Bloom requesting a science room for her future experiments.

"Gotta be the center of attention if I want to attract anyone that is strong." Kazuki said flexing his biceps in the mirror as he grinned at himself.

Bloom rolled her eyes, "All you think about is fighting, anyway remember that favor I need?" She said smiling sweetly as he turned his head to her nodding slowly.

"Just so you know, as long as it isn't anything eighteen plus then I can do it." Kazuki said firmly, Kuri-sensei told him to always set his boundaries when dealing with the opposite sex and with deals that are being made.

"W-what! NO idiot it isn't anything like that!" Bloom said bewildered before yelling at Kazuki in anger.

"Gahehe then what do you need me to do, for you to be fully part of my crew then." Kazuki said as he began to walk out the store carrying a couple bags of similar clothes he bought.

Bloom following him from behind started to feel nervous as she rubbed her arm but decided to swollow the lump in her throat and ask him directly.

After all that he has said but also so far has done and shown, he really was a different type of pirate, but she still kept her vigilance. They had only known each other for a few days after all.

"It's complicated and won't be for a long time now but after we enter the new world I need you… too kill someone for me." Bloom said through gritted teeth as she clinched her hand into a fight fist.

Kazuki hearing her request stopped walking, turning around to look her in the eyes, they stayed silent for a moment, looking deep into each others eyes.

Kazuki broke the eye contact first while letting out a deep sigh. "You said it wouldn't be a long time before we enter this 'New World', so when that bridge comes then we'll talk about this again, if that is cool." He said turning around to continue there walk home.

Bloom stood still for a minute looking at his retreating back before nodding her head, although he didn't see it, he took her silence as a confirmation.

Dian scratch her head in confusion as she looked at the paragraph that she rewrote in her notebook.

"This phrase is believed to be the key to all magic. It means that what is within me is also outside of me." She mumbled as she underlined the words key, magic and outside.

"As it is on earth, so it is in heaven. As I am, so are my cells, so are my atoms, so is God. Basically, as I believe the world to be, so it is." Dian let out a sigh as she rubbed her head in confusion.

"This is so confusing this Fortune teller Baba loved to spout riddles, or did she just like fucking with people." She said glaring at the black scroll.

She was sitting in a courtyard of the inn she and her new crew mates were staying at till there ship was ready to sail.

She's been studying the old scroll for the past few days but hasn't found any head way in making sense of the introduction to magic.

It seemed that the only way to gain control of the energy magic users used, was to first understand the magicians code.

Kazuki said that the energy he uses, KI? Wasn't the same as the energy magic users used to preform various spells.

He said his sensei explained that someone was usually just born to be able to use majutsu/magic or it was something that was inherited from there parent.

KI and magic could be used intertwining together but it didn't us the same source for each other's techniques.

"As it is on earth, so it is in heaven." Dian repeated the sentence feeling something resonate within her as she kept repeating the phrase.

"As I am, so are my cells, so are my atoms, and so is God." She felt herself go into a trance as she closed her eyes, letting her conscious fall into herself.

Dian sat there for hours as nothing happened but then a gentle breeze blew around her, a blue sparkle seem to leave the trees and ground as it flowed around her before it seemed to sink into her body.

The sparkles soon grew in number till it swirled around her in a glowing blue sphere that gave off a loud buzz as it continued to pour into her.

Then the event seem to just disappear as the sphere sunk fully into Dian's body, silence resumed in the courtyard but she continued to not move a musicle.

Then she cracked her eyes open showing a blue ring that swirled around her eyes giving off a bright glow.

Dian was ecstatic that she couldnt help but ball her hands into tight fists as she stood up, "T-this is unreal, this is amazing, my gosh. This feels incredible, I feel great, yes, yes, yes, ye-"

"Uh need us to give you a minute." A voice suddenly said from behind her, breaking her rant as she spun around to see Kazuki and Bloom looking at her with amusement.

Dian blushed as she glared at them when they started laughing at the blush that sprouted on her cheeks.

She was embarrassed but, would like to see them suddenly get a strong power and not feel like the king of the world afterwards.

Brusho smiled as he looked at his son hammer away at the floorboard of the ship, they were nearly done with the renovations and soon his son would depart.

When Peinto declared to him that he was going to set out to sea with Kazuki he was hesitant to let his son go, especially after their near death experience.

But…

"Peinto the ship is just about done, let's go have dinner." Brusho said straining a smile when Peinto smiled at him before going to go wash up a little before eating.

His little boy was finally a man so he had to let him go but the worry wouldn't leave him, It was going to be alright, at least he hoped so…

Peinto rubbed his hands with a cloth as he stared aimlessly into space, lost in thought.

He was part of a pirate crew now…

Peinto let out a sigh as he tightened his hands together around the cloth, he was weak, dumb and overweight.

He felt small now that he wasn't in danger, like a failure being looked at with pity, he didn't kill all the pirate captains and had to run away due to the marines.

Which frustrated him the most! He knew Kazuki and him could have killed them if they didn't intervene and wast time bothering them.

He let out another sigh in frustration and tightened his fist hard enough that his bones gave a crack, he's going to change.

He going to master his power and grow strong in the upcoming battles that Kazuki will face on his path to be the strongest, he will be right there and show himself that he can be strong too.

Hunting those pirate captains will just be a side mission on his quest, once he becomes strong enough there lives won't be a much of a consequence.

Peinto let out a bitter chuckle, he has definitely become cynical but he remembered his previous conversation with Kazuki.

FLASHBACK

Peinto was bandaging his arm as he sat on the deck of the pirate ship, looking out at sea in silence.

"What's on you mind man." Kazuki said as he stepped next to him bandaged head to toe only wearing his pants and shoes.

Peinto rubbed the back of his head looking slightly embarrassed, "Will I was wondering, couldn't you have used that light blast to get rid of the marines, hell it looked like you were winning to me." He said looking back in forth between the sea and Kazuki nervously.

Kazuki gave a chuckle, "Will I noticed that the marines were killing themselves the more I attacked that purple creature, so I decided to end the fight." He said with a shrug.

Peinto looked at him with a surprised expression that turned into a confused stare,"But your a pirate?"

Kazuki gave him another shrug, "I'm not a marine killer, they haven't done anything to earn death from me, pirates just go against my moral code." He said holding his head higher as he placed his leg in the ledge of the ship.

Peinto scratched his head his confusion, "But your a pirate and a child… no offense." He said pointing at Kazuki with doubt.

Kazuki smiled at him with a wide smile, "None taken. I'm a different type of pirate and also twelve, my sensei's said they were the same age when they went out on there journey Gahehe." He said as he let out a chuckle.

It seem to always bring a smile or chuckle to Kazuki whenever he talked about his teachers.

It made the fact that this kid could take on a whole pirate crew by himself if he wanted too a little easier to deal with, the kid was definitely crazy wanting to go around and fight powerful marines and pirates.

But there was something to him that was drawing Peinto in, but he had to make sure of one thing before he makes his decision.

"Do you regret it… the lives that you take." Peinto said not daring to make eye contact with Kazuki but peaked at him from the coner of his eye.

He was fine following a strong ambitious person but not a battle maniac that wouldn't care about anybody's life as long as there was a fight.

Kazuki still holding his head up proud, looked out at sea. "Everyday, but I don't linger on the what if's to taking a life, weather good or bad people and hopefully more bad. I live with my decisions."

"My sensei once told me about a man he met named Twain and he told him this, "The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at anytime." Kazuki said with passion as he held his fist in front of him.

Peinto stared at him stunned into silence that lingered over them for a while as they continued to sail.

Kazuki broke the silence as he looked at Peinto who caught his stare, "My dream is to be the strongest, I won't take innocent lives nor will I be the pirate people think comes to mind."

"If there are those who are innocent. I'll give them a love tap so they can get out of my way, but I will never give that courtesy to my enemies because." Kazuki said in a hard tone

"I WILL BE THE STRONGEST IN THE WORLD, ouch!" Kazuki shouted as he thrusted his hand into the air before quickly setting them down due to his cuts opening up.

"Not having super fast healing sucks!" Kazuki yelled out in frustration.

Peinto couldn't help but burst into laughter at the break in serious atmosphere, Kazuki soon joined in the laughter as they continued to sail the vast sea.

Flashback end

Peinto smile, he made his choice and he won't regret it, sitting down he grabbed a notebook and pencil.

"What cool design can I make for the flag that will sail the seas." Peinto said as he smiled when a idea came to him, 'Yeah that would definitely be dope to paint on a flag.' He thought with a giant grin as he began to sketch out the image in his head.

"Hope the captain like's it."
