A/N yes I finally updated. I wrote many drafts not knowing what direction to take or wanting to mess it up but I finally told myself "who cares if it's not great. I do this to help my stress and anxiety not to impress people" so here's a chapter. I hopefully will be updating regularly now.

It has been a few months since I met Carlisle and I don't regret it. It has been a lot of fun. That day he took me and ran out of the hospital with him was one of the best days I've had.

We officially started dating a few days later. I don't know what it is about him but he changed my views on love.

I know there is something he is keeping from me. I just don't know what.

So here we are present day.

Bella pov

I decided to surprise Carlisle at the hospital today. Class let out about an hour ago. I walk into his office to see his beautiful golden eyes. They were very unique.

A gave him a hug. I always shiver a little when I do. I guess he's just naturally colder.

"Hey what are you doing here" he asked me

"I just thought I'd surprise you. I also missed you. It's getting harder to be away from you"

Carlisle pov

When she said that I knew that the mate bong affected her as well. I knew she felt it. I know she's growing suspicious of certain things as well. I know I am going to have to tell her soon.

"You know it is physically hard to be away from you for so long" she said after a moment of silence

"I know sweetheart, we are going to have a talk about this eventually"

"So you know why" she asked me, confused.

I nodded. My shift was over so I decided to take her for a walk.

We were just walking around the park. Talking about any and everything when a car came curtailing towards us. I quickly put my hands around her and sped off.

Her face full of confusion and shock. She stood there for a second before saying the question I knew was coming.

"What are you"

"Let's talk somewhere more quiet" I replied and drove her to my house. I got her settled on the couch.

"I was born 300 years ago" I finally said.

"I was attacked and when I awoke I became this. I don't age anymore. I have inhuman speed and strength. I'm a vampire"

"Why did you save me"

"Because I love you"

"Are you okay" I asked

"I knew there was something you we're keeping. I just am glad we can be honest now"

"Can I ask one thing though. It's not going to what you think"

"Yes ask away"

"When you said I needed more context before you told me we were soulmates, is this what you meant"

I nodded

"Vampire only have one true mate, which many times are not from the same time period. With the mate bond, you know that you are meant to be with each other. I knew that when I first laid eyes on you. I didn't expect it to affect you being human. But yes this is the context"

"Does that mean that I'm going to have to…" she paused but I knew what she was thinking

"I would never do that to you if you didn't want to. That is a conversation we can come back to later " she nodded and hugged me.

"At least I have an answer to the way I feel now"
