EXAM STARTS NOW
The drive to the police station was quiet and delaying which gave Goten enough time to come up with a lies about who he is cause no one would believe him if he told the truth. But unfortunately none of the lies were good at first he thought of saying that his from an orphanage, or that he's from another country but got shipped to Japan by mistake but the only country he knows about now is Japan so he decided that during the interrogation he'll come up with something (he hopes). once they got to the police station, Goten was placed in a holding room with quirk canceling cuffs (which he can easily break out of) while the police were busy apprehending other criminals. Because they were so busy that they didn't have time for him. Goten hopes it stays that way until it reached afternoon.
a female cop came in "Sorry it took so long kid, had a case we needed to solve quickly. you know how it is? now i just need your name parent's names and phone numbers"
this shook Goten 'Ah damnit what do i say' "uh my name is um.. son Goten first name Goten last name son"
"okay, what about parents number?" the woman said
"i uh don't have parents" Goten said normally
"oh um I'm sorry to hear that. any relative your living with?" the woman said feeling bad
"nope don't have those either" Goten said again
"oh uh are there any guardians you live with"
"um no i live alone" Goten answers
"come on kid you've got to have somebody" the cop says a little annoyed
"no seriously I've got no one looking after me" Goten says raising his hands
"well just fill out this form" the woman says as she hands the file to Goten which he takes and starts writing
'well no use lying now' Goten thought as he starts writing when he was done he hands her the file
"like you said your name's son Goten, 16yrs old, and..." she stops and looks at Goten strangely "this isn't a joke kid"
"what do you mean?" Goten asks
"i mean on your date of birth you wrote age 767 and on your address it just says japan"
"yeah thats where i live"
"you know what we'll just get the information from your phone" the woman says as she leaves
she comes to a desk where mt lady and kamui woods were waiting
"anything about the kid" mt lady asked
"he's a strange one I'll tell you that, look at his file" the woman says handing the file to them mt lady looks at the file quizzically
"seems the kid is hard to read" mt lady says handing the file to woods
"and a strange one too" kamui says.
"hey everyone" a man came to greet them he wore a tan coat with a matching hat "i heard that the shadow gang's been finally caught good job those assholes been giving us trouble for 4 years straight" the man says greeting the others
"detective tsukauchi good to see you" kamui woods said greeting him
"oh your not gonna believe this, the shadow gang was actually captured by some kid" mt lady says chuckling
"what? no way your kidding" tskauchi says in disbelief
"yep the kid's in the room as we speak" the policewoman says pointing her thumb at the room
"wow, the kid's got to have some quirk to be able to stop them" tsukauchi says
"well we don't know the extent of his quirk but we know that he can fly and he's strong" kamui said
"yeah really strong when i tried to grab him he smacked by hand away sending me into some buildings" mt lady said rubbing her shoulder
"damn must be one strong kid huh any info about him?" tukauchi says as the police woman gave him the file to read. as tskauchi is reading the file he gets confused when he sees his date of birth and address "strange kid huh. want me to take a crack at it?" tsukauchi asks reading the paper
"well we were gonna get the information from his phone but look" the woman said handing him the phone. "we've never seen this kind of model before plus the stuff he got on his phone are weird he has apps that don't even exist" the woman says as the detective inspects the phone he looks through the gallery seeing some photos of him, and some people, probably family members but what surprised him the most was that he had pictures of dinosaurs.
He shows the pictures to mt lady and kamui which surprises them
"are those dinosaurs?" mt lady asked in disbelief
"they're probably from an amusement park" kamui says skeptical "but they look so real" "were you able to get info out of it" mt lady asks "we tried checking the database but nothing said anything about him not even his family. It's almost like he doesn't exist" the woman said
Tsukauchi looks at the file again then looks back at the woman "Let me talk to him"
Goten was busy tapping his finger while singing a tune 'cha la head cha la' his singing was interrupted when the door opened and a man in a coat came in. "hey there you must be Goten huh the kid who brought down the shadow gang" tsukauchi said greeting him taking a seat
"Shadow gang?" Goten asks confused
"there one of Japan's most notorious criminals they've been robbing banks all over the country. those suckers have been giving us a hard time until you came along."
"oh uh your welcome. I also saved some people from burning down a building" Goten says feeling proud
"But you're still in a lot a trouble kid saving hostages is one thing, but stopping wanted criminals is a very dangerous thing you could have been hurt or worse killed, we have laws for this kind of thing and you broke them" tsukauchi says scolding him.
"i was perfectly fine those thugs weren't that strong anyway i had it completely covered" Goten said folding his arms
"it doesn't matter if you have a strong quirk or not these laws exist for everyone's safety. we have a strict law against vigilantism if you weren't a kid you would have been put in jail" tsukauchi said
"okay am sorry i broke some laws can i go home now" Goten said
"sure, after you answer a few questions" tsukauchi replied
"i already wrote down everything about me what more do you want" Goten said frustrated
"i already know your name and age but your address and date of birth beg to differ" tsukachi says handing him the file
"well would you believe me if i said i got shipped here to Japan by mistake" Goten said
"if that's the case then you would have written down were you lived and what country your from" tsukauchi said "look kid your in a safe place just tell the truth what do you have to hide?" tsukauchi said
"if i told you who i was you wouldn't believe me" Goten said looking to the side "so why should i bother"
"look kid we live in a world were super powers exist trust me I've seen weird" taukauchi said assuring Goten
"alright but don't call me crazy when i tell you" Goten said as he positioned himself. then he spoke he started telling tsukauchi about who he is and where he's from from description of his world to how he got here. at first tsukauchi was finding this hard to believe but when he activated his quirk he was surprised
"wait let me see if i got this right, you're from another world were humans don't have quirks, dinosaurs never went extinct and aliens exist" tuskauchi said in disbelief
"yep that's it crazy huh?" Goten replied
"i don't know what to say kid if it were anyone else you would have been sent to a mental hospital"
"wait so you belive me, you don't think I'm crazy?" Goten asked
"yeah, you see kid my quirk allows me to tell if anyone is lying or not. So basically I'm a human lying detector"
"Huh that's actually cool" Goten said
"but wait, if humans don't have quirks in your world, how were you able to defeat one of Japan's dangerous criminals?" tsukauchi asked
"well to tell you the truth am not fully human I'm actually half alien"
"wait seriously?!" tsukauchi asked surprised
"yeah, my alien half is called a saiyan they are a race of powerful humanoid aliens that can destroy an entire planet my dad and his friend are the last of their kind and they're the most powerful ones"
"man that's crazy. Hang on i need to call someone" tsukauchi said as he left the room. He brought out his phone and started dialing "hello toshinori? yeah i need you to come here right now".
An hour passed as Goten was sleeping until the sound of the door opening woke him up he saw tsukauchi entering but it wasn't just him, two more people came in. One was a skinny man who looked like he hadn't eaten in days and a small white bear thing.
"hello there young man you must be Goten correct?" the bear thing asked
"yeah that's me who are you guys" Goten asked looking at the skeleton and the bear
"you may call me mr nezu and this here is toshinori yagi"
"Hey your that all might guy that stopped me earlier" Goten said pointing at him. This surprised toshinori and nezu how did this kid find out who he is
"uh no kid i think you got the wrong guy all might is huge and musclely while am weak and skinny" toshinori said trying to deny the answer
"Uh no you are him i can still sense your energy but it's weaker meaning that musclely form your transformation" Goten said staying true to his word
"No need to lie toshinori this kid can sense our energy" tsukauchi said
'what else can this kid do' toshinori thought
"so you told them about me huh" Goten asked
"had to kid plus they have a proposition for you"
"so Mr. Son, i heard that you're actually an alien brought here due to death correct? and you have no other means of getting home?" Nezu asks
"yeah that's right" Goten answers
"Well then Mr. Son until you find a way to your world how would you like to be enrolled at UA academy" Nezu asks
"wait what" Goten asks confused
"you have a lot of potential young one, and we would hate to let that go to waste. And since you're in a world unfamiliar to you it's problematic and if the public found out who you really are you would be interrogated by the government and villains would try to capture you" nezu deduced
"that's true" Goten said
"so waht do you say kid would you like to join us? toshinori asked
"well since i know nothing of this world and i have nowhere else to go, so why not I'll join you" Goten decided
"wonderful i look forward to seeing you become a great hero" Nezu complemented him
"So where am i going to live?" asked Goten
"well you can stay at my place." mr tsukauchi said
"Are sure about that you don't know how kids are especially teenagers" toshinori said jokingly
"nah am sure i can handle him besides teens are just young adults" tsukauchi said
"thank you Mr. tsukauchi" Goten said bowing in respect
"No worries kid it's the least i could do though it's wrong but you did stop the shadow gang for us" Tsukauchi said patting his shoulder
"Also the UA entrance exam starts tomorrow it's the perfect opportunity to show of your skills and abilities so get a goodnight's rest" Nezu said
Goten bows soon it was night time and Tsukauchi brought Goten to his home, Goten sleeps in his guest room but before going to bed, Tsukauchi informs Goten about the UA exam and how he should prepare he also informs him that Nezu has created a citizenship form for Goten so he is now a citizen of Japan. Goten goes to bed in pajamas tsukauchi bought for him preparing for the exam tomorrow but before he does he looks up to the window thinking of his family back home he admits that he misses and if there was a way home he would find a way to come back as he drifts to sleep the moonlight shines on him as he turns his back then something rips out of his pants, a medium-brown furry appendage wiggling its way out before lying on the bed oblivious to the boy Morning comes as the sun shines on Goten he wakes up stretching and rubbing his eyes as he gets down from his bed, he could still feel the bed sheets on him but his entire body is out of the bed he looks back to see that his bed sheets were on his tail he removes it and then.. 'Wait A TAIL!' Goten looks to see that he has a monkey tail "i thought mom removed my tail how is it back" Goten said swishing his tail as he brought his tail up to his hands he gives it a light squeeze which sends a slight pain to his body he quickly lets go before the pain got worse "dang wonder how my ancestors got by like this" Goten said as he heads straight to the bathroom. after washing himself and brushing he head straight to his room he find a grey tracksuit and starts to wear it but before he could put on his pants he cuts off a hole at the back where his tail will be before putting it on.
Goten heads to the dining table to greet tsukauchi but he wasn't there but he sees a food cover and some money on the table with a note next to them. 'hey kid sorry i couldn't greet you this morning had to go to work so i prepared breakfast for you and i got you transport money good luck on your exam' "thanks sir" Goten replies as he stuffs the money in his pocket and devourers his breakfast
The train ride was a little boring but it was over as Goten got to his destination, the UA entrance exam. when Goten got into the testing hall, sitting in his assigned seat on the far left, he was shocked to see lots and lots of students entering 'wow, i know there's gonna be lot of students but i didn't expect to see this many' Goten thought as his tail was swishing nervously
"Excuse me is this seat taken?" a female voice called out next to Goten he looks to see a girl with orange hair tied in a ponytail and teal eyes next to him
"No, you can go ahead" Goten politely replies
"cool thank you" the girl said as she sat down next to Goten. As all the students reached their assigned seats, the lights began to turn on as a lone figure with glasses was seen in front of the room. he was a tall, slender man with long, spiky blonde hair and a small mustache and his neck is completely covered by a directional speaker.
"What's up UA candidates? thanks for tuning into me, your school DJ. Come on everyone, let me hear ya" he then cupped his ear ready for someone to say something. Only for the whole room to be silent. "Keeping it mello huh? that's fine I'll skip straight to the main show. Lets talk about how this practical exam works okay?"m He then pointed his fingers at everyone "Are you ready?!" And yet again, no one said anything.
'Dang tough crowd' Goten thought. The man's name was present mic a pro hero who would be his future teacher at UA. He explains that the students will be conducting ten-minute mock battles in super-hi urban settings. he also mentions that each student will head to their specified battle center.
'so, because of the amount of students here, they want to split us up so they can see how we do even better. I wonder what we'll have to face out there' Goten thought as he looked at his card which had the letter A on it. A 3-D model of several buildings appeared on screen, getting the students attention.
"Alright, lets check out your targets" On each corner of the screen, four robot like shadows appeared with one having 1p, another having 2p and the third having 3p. "there are three types of faux villains in every battle center. You'll earn points based on their level of difficulty, so better choose wisely. your goal in this trial is to use your quirk to raise the score by shredding those faux villains. But make sure you're keep'n thing heroic. Attacking other examinees is a UA no-no, ya dig?"
"Excuse me sir, but i have a question." a male student with blue hair and glasses asked "you've listed four types of villains, not three. With all due respect, if this is an error on official UA materials, it is shameful. we are exemplary students. we expect the best from Japan's most notable school. a mistake such as this won't do" he turned and pointed towards a boy with curly green hair "And you over there with the green curly hair. You've been muttering this whole time. It's distracting"
The green haired kid covered his mouth in embarrassment, "I'm sorry" he also lowered his head and muttered his apology
'Dang dude you didn't have to call him out like that he's already nervous' Goten thought feeling bad for the kid
"well examinee 5-4-6-1. The fourth villain type is worth zero points. That guy's just an obstacle we'll be throwing in your way. There's one in each battle center. Think of it as a hurdle you should try to avoid. It's not that it can't be beaten, but there's kinda no point.
battle center A, one hour later
Standing away from UA was a large set of building with a sizeable gate surrounding it "So this is where we'll be fighting huh?" Goten said to himself while smirking. As he was walking, a boy with ash blonde hair bumped into him rudely "outta my way extra" the boy said as he passed him
'The heck is his problem' Goten said as his tail was swished angrily
"Alright let's start!" present mic shouted from the top of a tower getting everyone's attention.
Goten grinned as he ran towards the battle area leaving every student behind. many were shocked at his speed but it didn't stop them from running as well. Goten ran around the entire city smashing and ki-blasting every robot he could find. Sometimes helping a few students while doing so he tried sensing for the robot's energy but quickly remembered robots don't have any. Goten could hear whispers coming from the students. some amazed by his power, others annoyed that he's stealing their points. So he decided to stop hogging everything and let a few lay loose
At the teacher's lounge, the teachers of UA high were watching the students progress as well as the principal. "clearly, the examinees have no idea how many villains are present, or their locations" The principal said "They have limited time so they must cover a vast area and hunt down every last target. some use information gathering others use speed and strength to pull up ahead of their peers" the principal said while sipping his tea.
"I'd say this year's group is promising" one of the teachers said before glancing at a certain image "especially that one" everyone else turned to see a camera, which showed a particular young boy with a monkey tail taking down robot after robot with a confident smile on his face
"Wow, he's killing it out there" another teacher said impressed by the boy "what's his name again" "I think it was son Goten" another answered "This kid is incredible there's not even an ounce of fear in his eyes. never seen someone with that kind of quirk" another teacher said amazed by Goten's power. principal nezu and toshinori however were smiling seeing how powerful the kid is "kid's got a lot of potential" nezu said next to toshinori "if this keeps up he might break your record"
"yeah" toshinori answered 'watch out young Midoriya. It seems you might get a rival' toshinori thought while watching Goten
"well time to bring out the big guns" principal Nezu said as he pressed a button on his desk.
Back on the battlefield, everyone was busy fighting the robots until they heard a large rumbling sound. soon the students were covered by a large shadow as they saw a giant robot loom over them it was the zero pointer. most of the students got scared and ran for the exit while others stayed behind to scavenge for more points. As for Goten, he was watching the robot as it was coming for the students. tha last time Goten saw an opponent this big was during the battle with cell max
'I've got enough points, i should probably head for the exit. no need to destroy this thing it ain't worth it' Goten thought as he went for the exit.
so how did you like this story so far, there's been a lack of Goten in mha fanfiction stories mostly it's about gohan. (come on writers give my boy some love) so i decided to change that by making this story. and for those wondering why i gave Goten a tail, if you are a dragon ball fan you would know why.
