Fairy Tail

One-Shot

Night Frustration

The sun had just begun to peek over the horizon, tinting the sky with warm shades of orange and pink. Carla, now awake, found herself looking out the window of the small room in which they were staying. The room was bathed in a soft, dim light, contrasting with her somber and frustrated mood.

The previous night had been a roller coaster of emotions. After an exhausting mission, Happy and she had retired to their shared room, seeking a well-deserved rest. However, what started as a moment of relaxation and rest gradually turned into something more intimate...

Flashback

A soft rain could be seen from the window of the lodge room where Happy and Carla had taken refuge after a long day of mission.

"Is there really only room in this place?" asked Happy somewhat nervously, as it meant he was sharing a room with Carla.

"Do you mind sharing a room with your girlfriend?" asked Carla with a playful tone that made Happy more nervous.

"No! I don't mind sleeping with you, Carla." Happy explained rather upset. "It's just that this situation might lead to other situations we're not ready for yet."

"You shouldn't worry about that. I trust you completely." Carla expressed in a soft voice. "Today has been a pretty rough day because of that mission we did. Come on, get up to bed, we need to rest" Carla climbed into bed and beckoned Happy to join her.

"Come Happy, I don't bite, unless you ask me to." He added in a suggestive tone.

"Aye" Said a resigned Happy, as he set his green backpack on the floor and climbed into bed, intending to rest.

The atmosphere was calm and cozy, with the distant sound of soft rain pattering on the roof. Carla, still with her heart racing from that day's mission, couldn't help but smile as she felt Happy's warm presence beside her. It was a moment of peace that they were both grateful for.

Next to her, Happy had given up trying to sleep, due to the nerves of having his girlfriend next to him in the same bed. After much thought, he decided to trust that nothing too intimate would happen if he started touching her.

So Happy, taking the initiative, began to gently caress Carla's face, his fingers tracing the fine line of her jaw to her neck. Carla, surprised by the tenderness of his caresses, let herself be carried away, feeling a warm current run through her body.

Between giggles and caresses, Carla had felt an intense connection with Happy, something that had been latent between them for some time.

Happy, with his usual enthusiasm and tenderness, had initiated a game of tickling and cuddling that soon became more serious. The physical closeness, the shared glances, all indicated that they were about to take a significant step in their relationship.

Then Happy's caresses became bolder, sliding his hand down Carla's cheek, their eyes met, and without warning, Happy leaned in and planted a soft but intense kiss on Carla's lips.

Carla felt a shiver run down her spine. The kiss was sweet, but charged with an emotion she hadn't expected. The touch of Happy's lips was followed by a series of small kisses, moving down her cheek to her neck. Each kiss was a small fire that ignited something inside her, a feeling she couldn't ignore. When Happy began to delicately kiss her neck, Carla felt her body instinctively react, pulling her closer to him.

Carla, for the first time, allowed herself to let her guard down and let her feelings flow freely. She had been ready to give herself completely, to finally join Happy in a way they had never experienced before.

As the kissing continued, Carla began to question herself. "Do I really want to do this?" she thought, as her breathing became heavier. She felt a mixture of nervousness and desire, a duality she had not experienced before with such intensity.

She knew Happy was unaware of the impact his caresses and kisses were having on her. To him, this was just a game, an innocent display of affection. But to her, it was so much more. It was a sign that maybe it was time to take their relationship to the next level.

Carla broke away slightly, needing a moment to breathe. She looked at Happy, who was watching her with his big eyes full of curiosity and innocence. In that instant, she realized that, although she was nervous, her feelings for Happy were genuine and deep. "He loves me and I love him," she said to herself. "I know. So why am I hesitating?" Carla decided she was ready. She felt the love was mutual, and they were ready to take that step.

But just when the atmosphere was at its most intimate, Happy had pulled back. Not deliberately, but his attention had begun to wander. Happy pulled away slightly, yawning. "It was a long day, wasn't it?" he said, stretching with a carefree smile. Carla, still with her heart beating fast and her thoughts fluttering, looked at him in surprise. Did he not realize what he had provoked in her?

Despite her efforts to keep the atmosphere intimate, Happy seemed too distracted or simply too exhausted to continue what he had started.

Happy, unaware of the whirlwind of emotions in Carla, lay back on the bed, oblivious to the opportunity he had almost created. Carla felt a mixture of frustration. Frustration that the moment that had felt so special and loaded with meaning seemed to have gone unnoticed by him.

Maybe they both weren't ready? Or maybe it was just him?

Finally, Happy had fallen asleep, leaving Carla frustrated and with a knot in her stomach. It had been a missed opportunity, a special occasion ruined by Happy's lack of seriousness. And now, as he slept peacefully, Carla couldn't help but feel irritated and disappointed.

End of Flashback

The sound of slight movement in the bed brought her out of her thoughts. Happy stirred in the sheets and opened his eyes, still half asleep. Seeing her standing by the window, he gave her a sleepy smile.

"Good morning, Carla," he said hoarsely.

"Good morning," she replied, without turning fully to look at him.

Happy immediately noticed the distant tone in her voice and stood up slowly, concerned. "Are you all right? You seem... upset."

Carla finally turned to face him, her eyes reflecting a mixture of emotions. "Upset? Yeah, you could say that."

Happy sat up in bed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Did I do something wrong?"

Carla let out a sigh, crossing her arms over her chest. "Last night, Happy. We were about to... you know, really connect. And then you just shut down. Do you understand how that made me feel?"

The confusion in Happy's eyes mingled with a growing understanding. "Oh, Carla...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel that way. It's just... I was so tired and... I didn't realize what I was doing."

Carla shook her head, struggling to remain calm. "I know you didn't do it on purpose, but it was frustrating. I thought we were having an important moment, and then it just...went away."

Happy got up from the bed and walked over to her, reaching out a hand gently. "Carla, I'm really sorry. I never meant to hurt your feelings or make you feel ignored. The last thing I want is for you to feel that way because of me."

Carla looked at him, softening her expression as she saw the sincerity in Happy's eyes"I know you didn't mean to, but we need to be more in sync with each other. If we're going to have something more serious, we need to be on the same page, Happy."

He nodded, taking her hand in his. "You're right. I promise I'll be more attentive and aware of your feelings. I want this to work between us, and I'll do my best not to disappoint you again."

Carla felt a surge of relief at his words. She knew Happy had a heart of gold, and although he could be a bit immature at times, his intentions were always pure. With a small sigh, she allowed herself to relax her posture and returned the handshake.

"All right," he said softly. "Let's work on this together. But please, next time don't leave me wanting." She said rather flushed and without looking at his face.

Happy laughed nervously, nodding enthusiastically. "I won't, I promise."

With a shy smile, Carla walked over to him and hugged him, feeling the tension in her body melt away. Happy wrapped her in his arms, happy to have cleared the air. Though the path to a deeper relationship might not always be easy, they were both willing to work hard and learn from each other.

As they held each other, the sun continued to rise in the sky, illuminating the room with warm morning light. For Happy and Carla, it was a new day and a new opportunity to strengthen their bond, making sure not to repeat the mistakes of the past and to enjoy every moment together.
