Chapter 7: Thanagar:

Dream:

Nitetis, the handmaiden, was clipping Apries' toenails. "I think what they're doing is romantic," says Nitetis.

"I suppose," says Apries, "it's just... he is a prince, and she is a priestess... and... you know!"

"Are you saying just because their positions are different, they must be apart," asks Nitetis.

"Well, I just don't think it's appropriate," says Apries.

"What if it were you and me," asks Nitetis.

"Why would you-" Nitetis then kisses Apries, surprising him.

"I'm done with your nails by the way." Nitetis then walks away and Apries watches.

. . .

"This must be what they used to get here," says Chay-Ara. She and I have found the Thanagarian transportation. "Can it fly?"

"It should," I said, "if it came from beyond the stars!" We then opened the door.

. . .

We took a look through the inside. "This is amazing," says Chay-Ara, "they were above us in many ways!"

"I found something," I said.

"What is it," asks Chay-Ara.

I then used it, and it destroyed a chair. "I believe I know," I said.

. . .

"Hro and Paran called it Nth Metal," says Father.

"We could use it to make weapons the soldiers could use to defend the kingdom," I said.

"I believe you might have the right idea," says Father.

. . .

And so, metalsmiths used the Nth Metal to create weapons.

. . .

The soldiers then learned how to use these new weapons. Then a man came. "I am from the Zambezi Village! We need help!"
