Chapter 6: Hawk Fight:

Carter's POV:

Kendra now had wings like me. "What did you do to me," asks Kendra.

"There's something I forgot to men-" She then attacked me.

Green Lantern's POV:

"So, what do you say," I asked.

"I'll have to pass," says Vixen.

"Awe come on," I said.

"I hear you don't commit," says Vixen.

"Well-" We then heard something. "We should check that out!"

Hawkman's POV:

I had to defend myself against Kendra. Also, I had to make sure no one sees us. Not only could this endanger my own secret identity, but I also had to protect Kendra's! Then Green Lantern and Vixen came.

"Is that Hawkman," asks Vixen, "without his mask?"

"And who's the other hawk," asks Green Lantern.

"Just help me calm her down," I said.

Kendra kept coming at me, but Green Lantern traps her in a bubble. "There, problem solved," says Green Lantern. One of my wings then gets to his face and he sneezes, causing Kendra to escape and attack me. That's actually my bad.

Vixen then jumps on Kendra, but she shakes Vixen off. Kendra then flies at me and we're fighting in hand-to-hand combat.

"I don't want to hurt you," I said. Green Lanter then knocks her out.

"You better have a good explanation for all this," says Green Lantern.

"She and I are reincarnated lovers, I stalked her, she grew wings, thought I did something, and attacked me because she was scared," I said.

"Okay, sounds like a good one," says Green Lantern.

. . .

I took Kendra to my favorite hangout, Hawk Valley. It's this giant gorge on the outskirts of Midway City. I go here for some alone time. Kendra then wakes up and looks at her wings. "So, it wasn't a dream," says Kendra.

"I'm afraid not," I said.

"What happened to me," asks Kendra.

"In our past lives, two Thanagarians shared their blood with us to save our infant lives and this was the result," I said.

"Thanagarian," asks Kendra.

"An alien race of people with wings," I said, "are you going to be, okay?"

"Am I going to be okay," asks Kendra, "some stalker tells me I'm a dead bird woman! What do you think?" She then touches her wings. "How do I turn these off?"

"I can help you," I said. She glares at me. "Like there are other people like us!"

Kendra sighs. "Fine, but I don't exactly trust you that much," says Kendra.

"I wouldn't either," I said, "believe me!"
