Chapter 7: Hawkgirl:
Carter's POV:
"Are you ready," I asked.
"I'm still not sure," says Kendra.
"Just trust me," I said. I then started flying and then Kendra followed.

Kendra and I were soaring through the skies.
"This is amazing," says Kendra.
. . .
We flew all over Midway City and as we flew, we grew closer.
. . .
"So, what do you think," I asked.
"This has been the greatest moment in my life," says Kendra, "but... I can't just walk around with these things!"
"Don't worry," I said, "watch this!" I then sucked my wings back into my back. "See? Now you try!"
Kendra then tries and her wings go back in her back. "Wow."
"So, what are you going to do now," I asked.
"I think I have an idea," says Kendra.

And so, she became my crimefighting partner! She wanted to go by Hawkwoman, but the Graphic, Midway City's local newspaper distribution center, got everyone to call her Hawkgirl, so she just goes with it. Now, we fight crime and protect Midway City together as Hawkman and Hawkgirl!
"Hey Hawkman, is that the woman that attacked you," asks Green Lantern.
"Sure is," I said.
"Hi, I'm Hawkgirl!"
"Hawkgirl," asks Green Lantern.
"Not my choice," says Hawkgirl.
"Huhh," says Green Lantern, "anyway, I gotta get back to Coast City. See ya." Green Lantern then flies off.
"Let's go," I said.

Vixen was surrounded by some thugs, but then Hawkgirl and I came and took them down. "Thanks for the help," says Vixen, "and I like your mace."
"Thanks. The Graphic calls me Hawkgirl."
"Maybe if you came first, you guys would be Hawkwoman and Hawkboy," says Vixen.
"Maybe," says Hawkgirl.
"We gotta go," I said. We then flew.
Anton Hastor's POV:
I looked at them as they flew off. "Chay-Ara, you will be mine!"
Hawkman's POV:
"This is the dagger," I said.
"And that will show me all of it," asks Kendra.
"This was the dagger that killed us, and it showed me," I said, "it might do the same for you!"
Kendra was hesitant, but she trusted me. She then touched it...
