The showdown between the dragon slayers and the Dorma Anim is going to start... now!

Chapter 80

The Wrath of the Dorma Anim Part 1

After the others flew out of danger thanks to Coco's legion, I turned my attention towards the Dorma Anim which had Faust inside. I had to admit this thing looked just like a dragon, only this one was nothing more but a giant set of armor. This was also going to be the first time I would be taking part in a major battle like this, so I was a bit nervous. However, I told Edolas Willy that I was going to stop Faust and save him and I intended to keep my word. No matter what.

"Let's do this, Salamander. Water Boy," Gajeel said winding his arm.

"Man... I gotta team up with you again?" groaned Natsu in annoyance. "What a pain."

"Quit your whining, will you? We can settle our score later," smirked Gajeel. "Right after we kick this old man's teeth in that is."

"Don't let your guard down guys," I warned. "Our dragon slayer magic may have an effect on Faust and his armor, but this still isn't gonna be easy." I then grinned a little. "Then again, I'm dying to see how he'll cope with four dragon slayers. Not to mention I get to fight alongside you guys."

"Aw yeah. I'm all fired up now," Natsu smirked eagerly cracking his knuckles.

"You impudent scamps," growled Faust challengingly from inside his armor. "I would love to see you try! With the Dorma Anim at my disposal, I'll crush you all in a matter of minutes!"

"Don't worry! I'll lend you my support!" Wendy spoke as she waved her hands as she readied a spell. "O SWIFT WINDS THAT SPEED THROUGH THE HEAVENS!"

At that moment, a light green magic circle suddenly appeared below each of our feet as we were bathed in their light beginning to slightly hover taking us all by surprise.

"What the heck...?!" exclaimed Natsu.

"My body... feels lighter!" murmured Gajeel. "This is crazy!"

"I know!" I cried. "It's like I don't weigh anything at all!"

"VERNIER!"

Wendy then finished casting the spell as we were shrouded by spherical magical auras. Natsu's being orange, Gajeel green, and mine blue increasing our speed exponentially. The three of us then took off flying gunning straight towards the Dorma Anim in an incredible and blinding speed. The Dorma Anim tried to counter by firing a blast from the cannon in its mouth, but at the last moment, the three of us scattered to different directions dodging the attack making the blast hit the ground creating a large explosion.

"What?! They were able to dodge on my attack!" Faust gasped. "But how?!"

"Wahoo!" whooped Natsu as he flew in the air. "We're really flying now fast now!"

"This is as fast as me when I'm using my wings!" I agreed.

The three of us continued to zip and fly around the Dorma Anim as it slowly looked around trying to follow our movements.

"Damn it!" cursed Faust. "I can't lock on to them!"

"Now you guys!" I yelled. "Let him have it!"

Natsu then cloaked his fist with fire and gave the Dorma Anim a powerful punch right smack on top of its head. "FIRE DRAGON IRON FIST!"

Gajeel followed suit by turning his fist into a iron club and then slammed it into the side of the Dorma Anim's cheek. "IRON DRAGON CLUB!"

I then came sailing in shrouding my hand with water and straightening it as I slammed it directly into the sternum of its chest. "WATER DRAGON BLADE!"

The Dorma Anim staggered as it received the blows from our attacks being unable to counterattack. The three of us then continued to dash and zip around the metal beast attacking it with our magic as we did.

"I don't understand what's happening here!" growled Faust. "The Dorma Anim should be impervious to magic, yet it's taking damage! Why is that?!"

As the three of us continued our assault, the Dorma Anim was slightly smoking from the attacks, but it still remained standing hardly having a scratch on it.

"Come on! That thing should have fallen by now!" complained Gajeel.

"No kidding! It's barely even budging!" added Natsu.

"I told you guys this wasn't going to be easy," I spoke. "Just keep attacking!"

"In that case, let me help you guys again!" Wendy called out as she raised her hand into the air. "I CALL UPON THEE! THE STALWART MIGHT TO CLEAVE THE HEAVENS!"

As the three of us landed back on the ground, another light green magic circle appeared underneath each of us bathing us in their light. This time, I felt something surging through my body making me feel stronger.

"What's she doing now?!" demanded Gajeel.

His answer soon came as Wendy summoned forth another magic circle as she waved her arms before her putting them in front of her as she completed her second spell.

"ARMS!"

The three of us were now enveloped by our own respective magic auras now feeling three times stronger than ever before.

"Man! This is awesome!" murmured Natsu as he clenched his fist. "I feel way stronger now!"

"Yeah! Me too!" I spoke with wonder. "I can feel the strength welling up inside me!"

"It's because it's an attack enhancement spell," explained Wendy. "It's only temporary, but it'll make all of your attacks way stronger than before."

"Not bad at all, kid!" smirked Gajeel. "Keep it up! Salamander! Water Boy! You two ready to crush this old guy?"

"You know it!" said Natsu.

"Yeah! Let's give it to him!" I spoke.

The three of us the once more charged straight towards Faust going on the attack. Natsu led the charge by landing a Fire Dragon Iron Fist on the cheek once again while Gajeel once again used Iron Dragon Club from his leg smack on its jaw, and I used Water Dragon Blade on his chest again. This time thanks to Wendy's Arms spell, our attacks hit the metal beats with a lot more force and power causing the Dorma Anim to stumble from the blows. We continued to attack not wanting to give Faust a chance to attack.

"FIRE DRAGON BRILLIANT FLAME!"

"IRON DRAGON SPEAR DEMON LOGS!"

"WATER DRAGON DOUBLE STAR!"

Natsu put his hands together creating a large fireball and threw it at the Dorma Anim, Gajeel transformed his hand into a large iron spearhead and from it fired a number of iron spears it, and I conjured a pair of larger than normal water stars and threw them at the Dorma Anim with all my strength. The metal beast stumbled and skid backward taking more damage from the onslaught of fire, water, and iron until it fell to the ground on its fours.

"What is this?!" growled Faust in anger and frustration. "How did their magic power increase all of a sudden?!" Then he looked at Wendy. "I see! It's the girl. You're done for, you brat! Launching Dragon Rider Missiles!"

On top of the Dorma Anim's back, a compartment opened revealing several silo holes underneath. Then from the holes, several missiles fired and shot straight towards Wendy.

"Wendy! Look out!" yelled Natsu.

"Get out of there before you get hit!" I cried.

"Don't worry you guys! I'll be OK," reassured Wendy. "I got this! VERNIER!"

She then cast her Vernier spell on herself shrouding herself in a blue ball of her magic power taking off into the air just as the Dragon Rider Missiles hit the ground where she once stood was a mighty boom. Smoke billowed from the explosion. Then just as I thought Wendy was safe, from the smoke some of the Dragon Rider Missiles shot out from the smoke and headed right towards the young girl. Wendy tried her best to shake them off, but the missiles kept on following her.

"Those things are tracking her?!" questioned Gajeel.

Seeing that she was in trouble, I immediately shot after her desperate to get to her before she got hit. Then there was trouble. As Wendy continued to fly away from the missiles by keeping low to the ground, the worst possible thing happened. Her foot got caught by a piece of rock from the rubble causing to trip and fall flat on her face making her let out a small and cute squeak. At that moment, I landed right in front of her just as the missiles were about to hit her when she had her back turned.

"WATER DRAGON GEYSER WALL!"

I slammed my fists into the ground with all my might and a huge wall of water erupted from the ground shielding me and Wendy. Way bigger than the other times I used the spell. The missiles all hit my Geyser Wall exploding, but my Geyser Wall remained standing as if my missiles didn't affect it at all.

"Willy! You saved me!" exclaimed Wendy in wonder and amazement. "Thank you!"

"Anytime Wendy," I said as I looked back at her. "Don't worry. I won't let this old guy hurt you."

"Is that so?" scoffed Faust having to have heard me. "Try and stop me! I still have plenty more you-"

Faust was then rudely interrupted by a loud banging as well rapid pounding coming from the Dorma Anim's back. He turned to find that Gajeel who had turned his hands into large thick hammers was hammering away at the silos on its back.

"You ain't shooting no one! You hear me, old man?!" Gajeel roared as he kept on hammering away until the silos were damaged completely making Faust unable to launch any more missiles.

"You annoying twerp!" growled Faust. "You're grating on my nerves!"

The Dorma Anim then swung its mighty tail trying to shake Gajeel off, but the Iron Dragon Slayer held on tightly not letting go. Then suddenly I heard the sound of roaring engines. I immediately turned to the right and there were flying straight at us were two missiles.

"Look out you guys!" I yelled. "There's still two more missiles!"

I was just about to cast my Geyser Wall once again, but then Natsu shot forward.

"Don't worry! I got this!" he said as he rushed straight towards them.

"No, Natsu! Wait!" cried Wendy. "Those missiles are different from the others!"

I turned towards the blunette in confusion. "Wait, what do you mean by different, Wendy?" I wondered.

Sure enough, the missiles suddenly stopped both letting out a coughing sputter. Then just as Natsu was close enough to them, they exploded with a kaboom engulfing the entire area as well Natsu with flames. I immediately spread my wings and carried Wendy to safety just before the flames got to us.

Faust howled with laughter thinking that he had put an end to the fire dragon slayer. "It's about time you lowly wizards knew your place!" he cackled. "And you call yourselves dragon slayers?! You couldn't even slay a dragon if it laid down before you!"

"No! Natsu!" cried Wendy. "Is he..."

"Don't worry he's fine," I said as we landed back on the ground. "You do remember what he is right?"

Just then amongst the flames, a strange gurgling sound was heard. Then the flames bent and started to diminish as Natsu was revealed eating all the flames as fast he could.

Faust wasn't laughing anymore. "This is impossible!" he spoke completely bewildered. "He's eating the flames from the Dragon Rider Missiles?!"

The surprises for Faust didn't stop there. He then heard a crunching sound which was coming from the back of his tail. The Dorma Anim turned around and even it was shocked to see that Gajeel was biting bits of metal off of it and eating it.

"Is he insane?!" shrieked Faust. "Why is he eating the Dorma Anim's tail?!"

"It's because of the fact that they're dragon slayers," I spoke. "We have the ability to eat whatever element our respective magic is based on. Natsu eats fire, Gajeel eats metal, Wendy eats air, and in my case..."

I looked around trying to find something until finally, I saw it. Just above us flowing as it did before was a large river that gurgled and flowed in the sky.

"I get my power from good old fashioned water!" I yelled as I spread my wings taking flight into the air.

Using my wings, I flew high above until I was close enough to the river. I then took a deep breath sucking in as much as I could. Large ropes of water shot from the river and then entered my mouth as I drank it.

"You've got to be kidding me!" I heard Faust yell. "He's drinking from the river?! How is he sucking in that much water?!"

As I drank it, I could taste how strange it was. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either, however, I kept guzzling down the water until I've had my fill of water. When I was finished drinking, I swooped down to the ground beside Natsu and Gajeel the two just finishing their meals.

"Man! That was some seriously nasty tasting fire," Natsu spat. "I don't think I've ever tasted a flame that gross before."

"I'll have to agree with you on that," I spoke wiping my lips. "The water tasted really strange like there was some kind of something mixed in it."

"You can say that again," agreed Gajeel was just as disgusted as he spat out a small screw. "The iron was just as bad. Crappy stuff if you ask me. But even so..."

"I'm starting to feel like I've got a fire in my belly," the two said together.

"Hey. Metalhead. You trying to copy me?" Natsu scowled.

"Oh, shut it, loser," barked Gajeel. "It was just a coincidence."

"Come on, you guys. Worry about copyright issues later," I sighed. "Try to stay focused at the task at hand, please?"

Then the Dorma Anim redirected its attention towards us glaring with its glowing red eyes.

"You gotta be kidding me," I said as I uneasily looked back at it. "This thing's still standing even after all those attacks."

"Yeah. This thing's hardcore," agreed Natsu. "No wonder they call it a dragon. It certainly lives up to its name."

"Don't be stupid, Salamander," scoffed Gajeel. "This thing may look like a dragon, but it's still nothing more but an old man hiding inside a big hunk of junk."

"That may be so, but he's out here all alone by himself despite being the king, so he's feeling pretty confident," said Wendy. "But that only means he doesn't have anyone to protect him, so we just have to take that thing down."

"You took the words right out of my mouth, Wendy," I said as I took a stance. "This thing may be tough, but it's not invincible. We can take this thing out no problem."

"Aw yeah. I'm all fired up now," smirked Natsu.

"Unbelievable!" murmured Faust in a flabbergasted tone as the Dorma Anim looked down at us again. "So this is the power of Dragon Slayers. Are all of these types of Earth Land wizards this powerful?!"

The sound of Faust's laughter then echoed in the air now sounding even more insane from power than before.

"Such power..." Faust panted hungrily. "I will not rest until I have this power for myself!"

Then the Dorma Anim was shrouded with an incredible magic aura which was colored black-purple. As it glowed, streams of magic power of the same color began to seep out from the ground and from the air as it was absorbed into the Dorma Anim's body. This made the four of us surprised as well as feel a sense of unease.

"What happening now?" asked Gajeel.

"This is really bad you guys," spoke Wendy. "It's absorbing magic power in the air."

"And not just from the air," I spoke looking down. "It's absorbing it from the ground too."

"And it's going into the armor," Natsu said.

At that moment, the metal that was the Dorma Anim's shape began to change and shift as it underwent some sort of a transformation. The four of us instinctively backed away a little as the Dorma Anim finished its transformation. It was now completely black, stood more upright making it look taller, it's blades on its wrists were larger than before one being longer than the other, and its eyes glowed an even darker shade of red than before giving it a more intimidating presence.

"Now you foolish Dragon Slayers, I shall rob you of your will to fight!" roared Faust. "You'll soon be begging for mercy as you witness and feel the power of the Dorma Anim: Black Heaven!"

As it finished its transformation, the Dorma Anim took a stance like it was doing a fencing salute of sorts as it prepared to strike.

"Prepare yourselves!" continued Faust. "As your lives are now forfeit!"

The Dorma Anim then pounced as it went on the attack aiming with its right blade at us it also glowing a purple color. The four of us immediately scattered to try and dodge the blow, but as the blade hit the ground, the force of it was so strong that we all were blasted by a powerful blast of air and dust. Natsu having to have received the worst of it was sent flying to the side of the colosseum slamming into the wall. However, not being outdone and with a mighty yell, Natsu came flying with a fist blazing with fire and pumped up with power thanks to Wendy's Arms spell. He swung with all of his might at the Dorma Anim, but the newly transformed metal beast blocked the blow with ease with the blunt side of the blade using it as a shield.

"You'll have to do better than that!" Faust spoke as the Dorma Anim then sent Nastu flying with a mighty swing of its arm.

"No! Natsu!" cried Wendy.

"He hit that thing even with the Arms spell cast on him and it didn't even flinch?!" gasped Gajeel.

"Definitely, not good!" I spoke now feeling a bad feeling in the gut of my stomach.

The Dorma Anim then raised it's right blade in the air as it once more began absorbing magic power from it making it glow with magic power as Faust was once more cackling with triumph and madness.

"Can you feel it?! This absolute magic power?! It's spectacular!" he crowed. "Don't even bother falling to your knees, begging your lives! Stay right where you are as you tremble in fear! YOU CAN'T STOP ME! I'M THE ONE DRAGON YOU CAN NEVER SLAY!"

The blade glowed brighter and brighter as the magic power reached its peak. Sensing that there was an attack coming, I immediately stepped in front of Gajeel and Wendy and slammed my hands to the ground casting my Geyser Wall. Once again a large wall of water gushed forth before us as I hoped that this would be enough to protect us from the incoming attack.

But I was wrong. The Dorma Anim swung its mighty blade piercing the ground unleashing a powerful shockwave of magic power straight towards us completely destroying my Geyser Wall in an instant. The three of us screamed in agony and pain as we were swallowed up by the attack. Natsu too screamed in pain as he was hit by the same shockwave. The power was so overwhelming that a large pillar of purple light could be seen erupting from the colosseum those that were outside of it.

The light and shockwave soon dissipated as the four of us landed on the ground, battered, beaten, and singed. Luckily, we were still alive, but our bodies must have been wracked with pain as we struggled to get back to our feet. I for one felt distorted and so much pain making me have a bit of trouble standing up.

"You're all pathetic!" I heard Faust speak. "You don't stand a chance of winning!"

I then heard Natsu as he struggled to his feet now standing.

"I got to admit... you're pretty tough for an old man," he grunted. "But here's what I don't understand. Everyone here is suffering because they're no magic power, yet the king seems to have more than his fair share of it. Why is that?"

"Isn't it obvious my boy?" chuckled Faust maliciously. "It's only natural for a king to tax his people. That's how monarchy works! After all, the Dorma Anim requires a constant influx of magic power, so it has to continuously absorb magic power from all over the world. That was also why it was sealed away because it's a forbidden weapon. And now that I've activated it, the fate of Edolas is dependant on me! I am duty-bound to achieve victory, for the sake of the world!"

This made my eyes open in shock. How could this guy be so power hungry like this? This guy was so insane, he's willing to take all of the magic power from the world without thinking of his own people.

"Yeah, right!" snapped Wendy. "Why should we believe that?!"

"You got some nerve saying that!" agreed Gajeel now back on his feet too. "You don't give a crap about what happens to this world! That's why you're swiping everyone's magic power!"

Natsu then stepped forward igniting his fists with his fire magic as he glared in anger while me and Wendy stood up ready to fight too.

"One of the reasons, I joined Fairy Tail was to live and another is so I could help others," he spoke. "I couldn't care less of what happens to your stupid world to be honest. But I do care about the people who live in this world and we won't let you lay a finger on them!"

Faust laughed scornfully as the Dorma Anim. "Can't you see that you're just wasting your energy? There's no stopping me and my Dorma Anim! I have complete control over the magic power in this world! Therefore, I have the right to use it however I please!"

The Dorma Anim then took aim with its blade and unleashed a barrage of magic projectiles reminiscent of arrows. The four of us then scattered dodging the attack.

"Quit spewing your convenient justifications, you greedy geezer!" yelled Gajeel as he dodged. "You should share your magic power with your people instead of hogging it all for yourself!"

"And call it inevitable or whatever you want, but here's a news flash for you!" added Natsu. "No matter how indestructible you think you and your phony dragon are, you're still gonna go down!"

Me and Wendy then came from above both of us unleashing our breath attacks at the same time.

"SKY DRAGON ROAR!"

"WATER DRAGON ROAR!"

Our two breath attacks shot forth straight towards it, but the great metal beast blocked the two attacks with ease thanks to the blade guard on its left hand.

"How many times must I tell not to waste magic power?" Faust chortled in condescending and mocking tone. "I hate to think how much your attacks might be affecting my supply. After all, they belong to me."

"Quit joking around with the "your supply" crap!" I snapped. "My magic power doesn't belong to anyone else, but me! And that applies to everyone else here who possesses magic!"

"Yeah! Say it again, Water Boy!" agreed Gajeel.

The two of us charged straight towards the Dorma Anim and jumped into the air gunning for the Dorma Anim. Gajeel then landed on the base of its tail transforming his hand into a club while I went straight for the chest straightening my hand while cloaking it with water.

"IRON DRAGON CLUB!"

"WATER DRAGON BLADE!"

Our attacks connected, but unfortunately, they hardly did any damage. The Dorma Anim then rapidly began to glow bright red as several beams of light shot out of it hitting the two of us and sending us flat on our backs. I coughed as I hit the ground feeling like I just got punching in the gut.

"It's only a matter of time now," Faust continued still cackling. "Your magic power and your lives will belong to me as my spoils of war!"

"Not if we stop you!" Natsu roared as he once more charged the Dorma Anim with the rest of us following close behind him.
