This is my first time doing a Bad Batch story. It's been on my mind lately, so I thought why not make a story out of it. Now this will be an AU story, where things will be different than in the show. Since the Clone Troopers from the Season 3 episode died since we hardly got to know them. Except for Fireball and Nemec. I thought with this I'll able to fresh out their quirks and stuff. And since it's an AU they'll live. Anyway, hope you guys liked this story. Enjoy.
Somewhere out in the Outer Rim, a Rho-class shuttle came out from hyperspace. Heading towards a planet with jungle and mountain regions. Piloting the shuttle is a Clone Trooper with red markings. He turned on the comms "Captain Rex, we arrived at the planet of Karrius." Said the clone.
"Understood, Stonewall. Get us to the rendezvous point. We can't let them detect us." Said Captain Rex over the comms.
"Copy."
Stonewall piloted the shuttle towards the planet's surface. Once the shuttle entered the atmosphere, the sky is dark with dark clouds overhead. It headed towards one of the closes mountain regions covered by vegetation. As it prepares to land, nearby creatures like feathered bird-like creatures looking like reptiles fly away, alien bugs that are the size of a person's head scurry into the cracks and entrances of caves caverns underneath the surface of rocks.
Once it touches landing, the hanger door opened up. Exiting the shuttle are six clones. Stealthing, they went up to the edge and hid behind the boulders. Looking across the open trench is an Imperial base built close to a cliffside with the other side an open area.
Taking out his binoculars Rex scans the area. A bunch of TK Stormtroopers patrolling, several V-Wings and three Imperial Nu-class shuttles docked. There are also two Gozanti-class cruisers docked as well. Suddenly, another Nu-class flew overhead as it headed towards the base. Looking through the binoculars again, Rex watches as the shuttle lands.
Exiting the shuttle are a Clone Commando and eight TK Stormtroopers. Taking a few minutes, Rex puts down the binoculars as he turned to Echo "Are you positive this base is holding clones?" Rex asked his fellow clone through his helmet.
"The data my informant send shows a list of clone prisoners. And it's part of the Advanced Science Division." Echo told him "It's enough to show that this base is holding clones."
"Then it's a good enough reason to get those men out from there." Said Howzer gripping his blaster.
Just then they saw one of the Gozanti-class cruisers lift off. They watched the transport ship headed towards space. Once they no longer see the ship, Rex then turned to look at his fellow clones "Alright, we'll split into two teams. Echo, you, Howzer, and Greer go through and find where they're keeping their prisoners. Me and Nemec will enter at the side entrance." Rex points towards the side entrance where it's right towards the cliffside "Where we'll search for their command post. Gather as much intel we can get."
Rex then looked at the other clone with blue markings "Samson, you'll be our eyes. You take point, you'll cover me and Nemec when we get inside. Understood?"
"Loud and clear, sir." Said Samson holding a sniper rifle.
Rex pressed his helmet "Stonewall, stay in the shuttle. You're go stand by once we get what we came here for." Ordered Rex.
"Copy that, happy hunting." Stonewall replied.
"Okay, let's move." Rex motions them with his hands. Echo and his team head towards a bridge which connects the base and the mountain they're on. While Rex and Nemec try to get across. Samson, meanwhile, search for a good advance point.
Echo, Howzer, and Greer stealthy walk through the jungle, passing by a snake-like creature slithering above them. They came across a road with lit lights. Looking down the path they see a pair of lights coming towards them.
Coming in full view is an HCVw A9.2 juggernaut transport. The Empire's latest ground vehicle. The clones waited as the transport drove by. They quickly ran under and grabbed onto the bottom of the transport. The juggernaut kept on driving until it came across a guarded gate, protected by a blue color force field.
Guarding the entrance are several TK Troopers. A TK Trooper inside the booth sees the juggernaut as it slows down. Receiving its chain code, the Trooper powered down the field, letting the transport pass. The juggernaut continued driving as it drove across the bridge. Before it could reach the base. Echo along with Howzer and Greer let go. Letting the transport drive on, they ran to the side where containers are located. Using them as cover.
Echo led Howzer and Greer through the boxes. They stopped as they let an astromech droid wheeled on by as it scouts the perimeter. Once it's gone, they take a right turn towards the base, still using the darkness as cover. They went through the parked Nimbus-class V-Wing's. Echo signaled both Howzer and Greer to plant explosives so they wouldn't send their starfighters after them once they get off-world in their shuttle. Howzer and Greer begin to take out the explosives. Arming them as they stick onto the fighter's rear and underbelly.
Echo took a few steps ahead before seeing two TK Stormtroopers stepping out behind some boxes. Echo hand signal his comrades. Ordering them to take cover. They took cover behind the V-Wings out of sight. They hear the footsteps of the TK's walking closer to them as they patrol the area. Waiting for them to walk pass, one of them stopped and turned and looked at one of the fighters. Hiding behind it is Greer, staying quiet as he hears one of the TK Stormtroopers walking towards him.
He slowly unsheathes his knife; in case the Trooper spots him. But sees Echo using his hand to tell him to stop. Hearing the TK stop right near the fighter. He looked inside the cockpit to find nothing. He was about to walk around to check until a call came in.
"TK 725, report." Said his commanding officer.
TK 725 placed his fingers on his helmet "TK 725 reporting. Sector C-7 looks clear, over." Said TK 725.
"Copy. Report anything out of the ordinary."
"Copy, over and out."
Hearing the footsteps fading towards the background. Greer took out one more explosive and placed it on the starfighter he's hiding behind. Echo ordered both Howzer and Greer to follow him. Heading towards the detention center, hoping to find their clone brothers inside.
Getting in position, Samson found a perfect ridge as he laid on his stomach. Using the rocks as cover. Holding a DC-15x sniper rifle, he looked through the scoop. Across his position he sees Rex and Nemec. Climbing up the side of the cliff.
Climbing up, Rex and Nemec are heading towards a railing where the side door is located. Patrolling the railing is a lone TK as he walks up and down the railing looking out at the vast mountains with jungles on top. Surrounded by misty clouds underneath them. Seeing the flying creatures from the distance.
While looking out his comm turned on "TK 332, report in." Said his commanding officer.
Pressing his helmet "TK 332 here, nothing but birds in the distance. Over." Said TK 332.
"The Empire isn't paying you for sightseeing. Keep an eye out for any activities that may put this base in jeopardy." The officer scowled at the Trooper.
"What exactly am I supposed to look out for? Giant predatory birds?" Questioned TK 332.
"Just keep me posted. Report in if anything out of the ordinary appears."
The comm went silent as TK 332 sighed in annoyance "Out of the ordinary, he says. I don't get paid enough for this. Haven't seen any action since I got here." TK 332 grumbled, can't wait for his shift to be over.
Hearing rocks falling, he peaked up his head "What the?" Looking over the railing he sees two unknown individuals climbing up the cliffside. TK 332 held his blaster, pointing at the intruders "Hey, stay where you-"
Unable to finish his sentence as a blaster bolt hits him at the side of his head. Dropping his blaster, the now deceased TK 332 body hangs on the bars of the railing. Before it slides off over the side, his body falls as it disappears into the mist.
Rex pressed his helmet "Nice shot, Samson. Keep us covered." Said Rex as Samson replies "Copy."
Rex motion Nemec "C'mon, before they noticed something wrong." Said Rex as he climbed up.
"Right behind you, sir." Said Nemec following Rex.
Once they got onto the railing, both Rex and Nemec went to opposite sides of the door. Rex gave it a knock, without waiting long the door slid open. Another TK Stormtrooper walks out. Without warning Nemec used his DC-15 blaster and grabbed him in a choke hold. The TK Trooper dropped his blaster as he let out agony sounds as he tried to get the blaster and his attacker off him.
Rex went inside, Nenec soon follow as he shoved the TK Trooper off the railing as he screamed to his death. The door then closed behind them as they ventured deeper into the facility.
Inside of the facility Rex and Nemec are in, an Imperial Officer with dark brown hair and green eyes pressed the button to communicate tries to call for one of the Troopers "TK 332 do you copy?" Asked the officer as he was greeted with static "TK 332 do you copy? Answer me!" The Imperial Officer demanded, once again, that he could only hear static's.
He turned to a TK Trooper who was standing outside from the window "TK 386, go and checked if 332 is having problems with his communicator." Ordered the officer.
The TK Trooper obliged as he went down the hall towards his left. Once the officer turned away for a moment as the sound of the door opened up. There was a sound and a thud. He looked back at the window to see nothing. Walking towards the window, he looked out. Once he did, he sees the body of the TK Trooper he just sent earlier, lying on the floor.
He quickly turned to one of the technicians with him "You two, secure the hallway!" He ordered them.
As the technicians took out their weapons they headed to the door. However, the door opened itself as a round sphere object rolled into the room. The object beeps and went off, sending out an electric shock. Knocking both of them out.
Rex and Nemec entered with their blasters up. Seeing the intruders the officer tries to sound the alarm only for Nemec to shoot the console. Destroying the alarm system. Both clones got their weapons trained on him as they got closer to him.
"Where's the central control room?" Rex questioned him, aiming his blaster at the officer's face "Talk!"
He didn't answer him. Instead, the officer bites down on a suicide shocker implant. Electrocuting himself as Rex and Nemec watched. His body fell to the floor with steam coming from his body.
"No point in asking him. Imperials like him would rather take their own lives then spill their secrets." Said Nemec as he saw an Imperial officer took his own life when rescuing Howzer and his two remaining men.
"Doesn't matter. We'll find it ourselves." Rex walked to a nearby console.
Entering the Imperial's data, he found where to go "There, it's six levels above us. Let's go." Said Rex as he and Nemec leave the room and headed to their next destination.
Meanwhile, Samson is still at his position as he watched over the area. With Rex and Nemec inside, Samson focuses his attention on Echo and his team. Echo, Howzer, and Greer seem to be hiding behind a Nu-class shuttle. Letting a group of TK's and a Clone Commando walk pass.
Seeing the coast is clear, they made their way to the detention center. As they got to the door, Echo locked his arm into the panel to try and open the door. Once the door is opened, Echo looked at Greer "Stay here and stay out from sight." Said Echo.
Greer nodded as Echo and Howzer entered into the building. With Greer staying guard outside.
Samson still looking through his scoop. He didn't realize something behind him. Hearing some rocks fall, Samson quickly looked behind to see a Viper probe hovering behind him. Samson rolled out the way just as the probe fired its blaster cannon. Hitting the spot where Samson was at.
On his back Samson aims at his blaster and fires a bolt. Hitting the probe right visual sensor. Which destroyed the probe as it hit the ground and rolled off the cliff into the mist underneath the cliffside. Rolling back onto his stomach he pressed his helmet.
"Rex, an Imperial probe spotted me. It's only a matter of time before they're onto us."
"Copy, tell Stonewall to get ready."
"Copy that."
Echo and Howzer got to the cell block. By the controls are two guards and four TK Troopers. Howzer took out a smoke bomb and tossed it into the room. Smoke started to fill the room with smokescreen. The guards coughed as the TK Troopers had their weapons raised.
Stun bolts shot through hitting the TK Troopers by surprise. One of the guards took out his blaster but gets stunned. Along with his the other one. Echo gets behind the console as he looks for any clone prisoners. One of the TK's gets back up, pointing his blaster only for Howzer switching the setting, fired a blue bolt which hits him on the face. The TK Trooper fell face flat on the floor.
"Echo, Samson got spotted by a Viper probe. Our window just gotten shorter." Said Rex through the comms.
"Roger that. We're about to secure the prisoners." Echo replied.
"Wilco, Rex out." Rex turned off his communicator.
"Did you find anything?" Howzer asked.
"Yes, they're in Cell Block B. Let's move." Echo commanded. Both of them went towards the Cell Block where their clone brothers are being kept.
Inside the Cell Block, two TK Stormtroopers marched down the hallway. Inside the cells are eight clones, all wearing their original uniforms. Suddenly, one of the TK's gets shot in the back, causing him to fall downwards. The other Trooper turned and aimed his blaster only for him to get shot in the chest area.
Coming to view are Echo and Howzer. One of the clones seemed to recognize Howzer "Captain Howzer?" Said the clone.
Echo hacked into the security system to shut down the force fields "C'mon men. We're getting you out of here." Said Howzer as the clones exited their cells.
Suddenly, the alarm went off. Turning the hallway red "Looks like they finally noticed." Said Echo as he motions his arm "Let's go, we need to get out of here." Echo and Howzer lead the liberated clones towards the exit.
Inside the control room one of the officers looked at the men who are on the consoles "What's happening?" Demand the officer.
"Lieutenant Stoll, we lost one of the probes that was patrolling in sector 56-12. But we received footage before it went offline." Said one of the men.
Showing the officer, it shows a video of an unknown trooper lying by the ridge of a cliff. Before rolling away before the probe could neutralize it. The Trooper on his back before blasting it. As the feed ended. Stoll sneered before looking at the Clone Commando beside him "Send in a gunship and eliminate that intruder!" Lieutenant Stoll ordered.
"Yes, sir." The Clone Commando obliged radioing on his helmet.
However, the door opened as Rex and Nemec came barging in. Nemec stunned one of the TK Stormtroopers guarding the door. While Rex shoots his blaster at pointblank. Seeing the clones the Clone Commando raised his weapon before Nemec stunned him a few times. Rex fired and killed two more TK Stormtroopers. Nemec stunned the other TK. One of the operatives by Lieutenant Stoll got up taking his blaster out only for Rex to shoot him in the chest with Nemec stunning the other in the back.
Lieutenant Stoll has his hands up in the air "This insurgency will not stand! I'll have you all-" Nemec stunned him as he fell the floor "Shut the kriff up." Said Nemec.
Rex goes to one of the panels and he plugs in a device. While Nemec switches the setting from stun to kill as he blasted the panel next to the door "That'll hold'em for a while." Said Nemec.
"Look for an escape route." Ordered Rex as Nemec ran to a window.
Looking out to see the base swarming with Imperial troops as they're running around as the alarms are going off all over the base. Nemec takes out an explosive device and sticks it on the glass. He then sees an Imperial LAAT/I gunship fly by as it heads towards where Samson is at.
Nemec pressed his helmet "Samson! Imperial gunship is heading your way!" Said Nemec over the comms.
"You need to get out of there!"
Samson then sees the gunship heading towards him. Without wasting time, he stood up and ran into the jungle before the search lights spotted him. The gunship hovers above the tree lines with the side doors open to see six TK Stormtroopers. One of the TK's pressed his helmet "Get us to the ground." Told the pilot.
"Copy, landing now." Said the pilot as he brings the gunship to the ground.
Once close to the edge of the jungle, the TK Stormtroopers stepped off the gunship. They approached the jungle as the Trooper raised his hand, order his men to stop "Fan out, we'll cover more ground." Said the Trooper as he pressed his helmet "Pilot, scan the area in the air. You'll be our eyes in the sky."
"Roger that 802." The pilot closed the side doors as he lifted off from the ground.
"Let's go, find that intruder." Order TK 802 as they enter the jungle.
Outside the detention center, Greer is still on lookout while sticking to the shadows. Seeing the TK Stormtroopers running about and alarms going off. He turned after he heard the door opening. Revealing Echo and Howzer, along with the clones they had rescued.
"The Imps have the whole place on lockdown. Did something happen?" Greer asked Echo and Howzer.
"Samson got spotted by a Viper probe." Echo explained.
"That explained a lot. A gunship flew pass and headed where Samson is at."
Just then two TK Stormtroopers appeared at the V-Wing's when they spotted them "Hold it!" One of the TK's shouted ran towards them with weapon raised follow by the other TK who is radioing to the others.
"Greer, detonator." Said Echo.
Greer pulled out the detonator as he looked at the TK's running towards them "Hope you like fireworks." Said Greer before pressing it.
The devices beeped, then they went off. Explosions erupted, destroying the starfighters. The two TK's were caught in the explosion. Killed instantly. Nemec sees the explosions before hearing pounding at the door. Just then the door slowly rises as they're trying to get the door to open.
Nemec quickly went to Rex as the Clone Captain is still getting data "Rex time running out. We need to get out of here." Said Nemec as he looked at the door again, already partly open where the Troopers could crawl under.
"I need more time." Rex told him but Nemec grabbed his shoulder "We don't have any. We need to move." Rex understood what he meant, he grabbed the device and left the console.
Red bolts shot through the air as both Rex and Nemec taking cover. Two TK's are already crawling through the door. Shooting at the clones. When the TK's stood up, Nemec and Rex stood up and fired their blasters. One of the TK's was hit two or three times by Rex and Nemec's blasters. While the other one took cover while more TK's are crawling in.
As more blaster fire rain down in the control room. While Rex and Nemec were holding their ground, Rex comm came on "Rex, we got the prisoners. We're going to try and head back to help Samson and Stonewall before the Empire gets them." Said Echo as a blaster hits the side where Rex is at.
Rex quickly fired his pistol and hits another TK as the Stormtrooper fell onto the floor "Copy that. Me and Nemec will be right behind you. Go!" Rex stood up firing his pistols as more TK Stormtroopers continue to come in.
Echo looked at his brothers "We're going to take the shuttle if we're going to save Samson and Stonewall." Echo points towards the Nu-class shuttle.
"Copy that, Echo." Said Howzer as he nudges his head "Let's go!"
The clone's Ran towards the shuttle. However, before they could get to it. A large bolt hurled through the air hits the shuttle. The clones stopped as two more bolts hurled and hits the shuttle. Causing a huge explosion as the clones were knocked off their feet by the shockwave. Getting up they see more TK Stormtroopers as some Clone Commando's running towards them.
However, behind them is an AT-AC walker. Walking towards them with its legs making clanking sounds. Echo looked towards his brothers "Imperial walker! Find cover!" Echo shouted.
Quickly they all ran towards where the crates and containers were and the wreckage of the shuttle. The Imperial troops along with the walker fired at the fleeing clones. They made it to seek shelter. However, one of the clones was hit when the walker hit the ground him. Letting out a groan.
Hitting on the ground, Greer and one of the clones went and grabbed his arms. Dragging him to safety. Setting him up against the container as he groans in pain. Echo and Howzer, fired back at the approaching Stormtroopers.
An astromech droid wheezes as it tries to find cover. One of the bolts from the walker chin-mount MS-4 blaster cannon hits the droid causing it to explode which destroyed it. Echo turned on his communicator "Rex we're pin down! Imps has a walker! We need an alternative route!" Said Echo over comms.
"We're a little busy! Standby!" Said Rex as he and Nemec are still in a fire fight against the TK's who are still entering the room.
Out in the jungle, the TK Stormtroopers have their lights on as they are scouting the jungle. Above them a gunship hovers with search lights on. They're carefully navigating through the jungle. Searching for the mysterious intruder.
One of the TK's jumped as he hears rassling by him. His weapon raised and aimed at the fauna. Slowly stepping towards it. Once he got close, bursting out the leaves are three bird-like lizards. Causing the TK to yelp and started blasting. Hitting one of them as it falls motionless onto the ground, dead.
The TK gasping before his comrade looked at him "What the kriff 578?! It's just a dumb bird!" The TK shouts at him.
"Trooper, what happened? Did you find the intruder?" TK 802 spoke through their communicators as the TK Stormtrooper pressed his helmet "Negative, sir. 578 got spooked by some birds." Said the TK Stormtrooper.
"Then keep searching. 802 out."
Once comm went silent, the Trooper let out a frustrated sigh "Seriously, watch where you're aiming that thing. You're lucky you only killed a dumb bird." The Trooper scowled at TK 578.
"Sorry, this place is creepy as shit. What exactly are we even looking for-"
Suddenly, a blue bolt came out from nowhere and hit TK 578 right on the face, seeing his body falling backwards, the Trooper turned and looked where the shot came from. All he could see was darkness as he pressed his helmet "Sir, shots fire! Maybe from the-" He was cutoff when the blaster from the darkness and hits him in the face as well.
"Trooper? Trooper, do you read? I repeat, do you read?" TK 802 tries to reach the Trooper.
TK 802 along with another TK Trooper heard more blaster fire in the distance. TK 802 pressed his helmet again "TK 448! What's happening?! Respond!"
All he could hear is more static before radioing again "Pilot, we need more lights. Come back around to my position." Ordered TK 802.
"Copy, coming back around."
The gunship circled around towards TK 802 position. However, climbing in the trees is Samson. Holding up his DC-15x, he focuses on the incoming gunship. Once he locked on target, he opened fire. The bolt shot through the glass and struck the pilot in the chest, killing him instantly. With the pilot dead the ship loses control.
TK 802 along with his fellow Trooper sees the gunship heading towards them "Pilot, pull up! Pull up!" TK 802 commands but no answer.
Both Stormtroopers ran for their lives. As the gunship crashes through the trees and crashes landing on the ground. The gunship showing no signs of slowing down, the Troopers see the ledge of the cliffside. They quickly jumped into a ditch close to the cliff as the gunship then went off the ledge, falling into the abyss below.
Once it was clear, they both climbed out of the ditch. However, out from nowhere, a blue bolt struck the TK Stormtrooper in the chest. Caused his body to roll off the cliff as he screamed. Getting back on his feet, TK 802 aims his blaster at the jungle. Letting out few shots only to get hit both in the shoulder and one in the face. Caused his body to roll down and off the cliff into the abyss.
Walking out from the jungle Samson stands at the ledge looking down where the two TK Stormtroopers' bodies disappeared. He then looked towards the base to see flames and blaster bolts. He instantly realized what's happening.
Pressing his helmet he called Stonewall "Stonewall, there's a battle happening in the Imperial base. Prepare the shuttle for lift off." Said Samson as he went back into the jungle.
Back inside the control room, Rex and Nemec are slowly getting surrounded by Stormtroopers. As more and more keep getting in. Nemec looked at Rex "Captain, we'll get killed if we stay here much longer." Said Nemec as he killed an TK Trooper from Rex left side.
"We need an escape route." Said Rex as he kept firing.
"Glad you ask."
Nemec then pressed a button. The device on the window beeps as the redlight flashes. Then it detonated as it exploded. Three TK's get caught in the blast radius. Once the blaster fire had stopped, Rex and Nemec quickly went towards the massive hole the bomb made. They looked at the roof next to the tower they're at.
Rex turned to look at Nemec "Fire cable." Order Rex as Nemec nodded.
Nemec aimed and fired a cable. Once it hit, Nemec slid down first. Rex soon followed. Once they got out, they see the TK's regain their senses as they look out the hole. One of them said something as the two TK Trooper slide down the cable as well.
Without wasting time, Nemec pulled out a virro blade and used it to cut the cable line. With the line cut the two TK Stormtroopers fell to their deaths. Seeing the line cut the remaining TK Troopers started to fire their blasters. Rex and Nemec quickly fled.
Looking towards their right they see the AT-AC firing at Echo and his team as they took cover. Rex looked at Nemec "We need to find a way to take care of that walker." Said Rex.
Nemec stared ahead to see a second walker, walking towards the battle. Seeing it gave Nemec an idea "I got an idea. It's crazy but it'll work." Said Nemec as he sprints "Follow my lead!"
Nemec quickly ran towards the AT-AC in full speed. He leaped towards it and landed on top. Opening the hatch he entered the walker. Rex follows pursuit as he jumped and landed on the walker and follows Nemec inside.
Once inside Nemec snuck up behind the pilot. Using his blaster, he put the TK Trooper in a choke hold. The pilot soon passed out and Nemec moved aside the unconscious Trooper as he took the pilot seat. With Rex by his side.
"Do you even know how to pilot this thing, Nemec?" Rex asked his clone brother.
"Of course, I do. It's like driving an AT-RT. Should be a piece a cake." Replied Nemec as he took the controls "Now hang on."
As the Imperial troops advance. Echo, Howzer, and Greer continue firing at the advancing enemies. Approaching behind the first AT-AC is another walker. Walking up behind the first. Howzer is the first one to spot it.
"Another walker, incoming!" Shout Howzer.
As the second AT-AC got close enough to the walker upfront. It fired its cannon at the walker in the middle where the legs and cockpit are connected. The first walker was about to turn it's head around. However, after shooting several times. The cockpit explodes, killing the pilot inside. The walker then toppled over. Once the walker was taken care of, the AT-AC proceeded laying waste on the ground troops.
"Why is that walker turning on it's allies?" Howzer wondered which Echo quickly replied "Because it looks like Rex and Nemec just hijack it. That's why." Said Echo.
"Oh yeah! How do you Imps like that?" Nemec seemingly enjoying himself.
Turning its head over to the left, Nemec opened fire onto the Gozanti-class cruiser. Sending it ablaze. Suddenly, five gunships appeared on the battlefield. Firing their turrets at the walker. The walker turned around as it was hit once or twice. Shook both Rex and Nemec inside. Aiming its cannons, Nemec proceeded firing.
The gunships dodged only for the middle to get hit right on where the cockpits were located. Causing the gunship to hurl towards the ground. The four gunships broke off where the walker turned its head towards left, following the two gunships. Shooting the cannon, it managed to one of the thrust engines. Causing the ship to lose control and crashed into one of the Nu-class shuttles. Causing explosions upon impact.
While the walker is keeping the gunships busy, Echo sees a park juggernaut transport not too far from where they are. Echo looked at his fellow clones "There's a transport vehicle about three clicks ahead of us. We'll use it to get us away." Said Echo as he motions them to move "Let's go!"
By his command they started to make a break for the juggernaut. Two other clones are helping their injured brother to get to the transport. While the walker continues to fire at the gunships that are now circling it. The clones made it at the transport. Opening it Echo motion them to get inside. While they're getting inside of the juggernaut. The walker kept on firing at the gunships.
However, the walker gets hit on the side. Slowly turning the head, a third AT-AC came in view. Firing its cannon and dual barreled blasters. The walker then fired at the legs. Causing it to lose balance. Rex tapped Nemec shoulder "C'mon, let's get out of here." Said Rex as he ran to the hatch with Nemec following close behind.
Once the AT-AC fell over, Rex and Nemec managed to get out of it. They both ran towards the juggernaut the rest of the clones gathered inside, Echo waved his hand "Get in! Quickly!" Echo shouted.
Once Rex and Nemec got inside, Echo closed the door before turning on his comm "Alright, they're inside. Punch it!"
Howzer sitting in one of the seats turned to a clone who is behind the wheel "They're in, let's go!" Ordered Howzer.
The clone turned on the transport and begin to drive away. The AT-AC fired at the transport but only for it to miss as the blasts hits the ground. Shaking the vehicle. The juggernaut continued to drive away.
Once it got onto the bridge. Heading straight for the gate which is still protected by a force field. The three remaining gunships flew after the juggernaut. Firing their turrets at the runaway transport. One of the wheels got blown off. Shook the whole compartment violently as the clones are inside. Even Howzer and the clone felt the vibration.
"Can't you make this thing go any faster?" Howzer asked the clone driving.
"Those gunships took out one of the wheels! I can't keep her steady!" Said the clone.
Just then the gunship in front of the other two fired two missiles. The missiles hits the bottom, sending the two segments flying. The clone lost control of the transport. It then crashed on the side of the bridge before stopping. Parts of the front are hung off by the ledge. Which is tilting towards the inside of the bridge.
Opening the hatch on top, the clones climbed out. Lights shined on them as the three gunships hovering above them with turrets trained on them. Rex looked at the sides of the bridge. He can see more TK Stormtroopers and an AT-AC heading towards them. While on the other side of the bridge are the guards running up to them, weapons on them.
"Drop your weapons!" The TK in front shouted, "You're all under arrest of crimes against the Empire!"
"What you think, sir? Should we do what they say?" Echo asked Rex.
"I think you know my answer." Said Rex as Echo knows what Rex is thinking.
"Yeah, I guess I do." Gripping his pistol.
However, before they could make a move. Green blast bolts rain down and hits one of the gunships. Causing it on fire as it crashed into the other gunship. The two destroyed gunships then fell into the cloudy abyss.
The clones looked up to see a Rho-class shuttle suddenly flying by. It made a sharp turn before firing at the last gunship. The ship lost control and crashed onto the bridge. Blocking the incoming Trooper's path. As the shuttle got close to the transport as it opened its hanger door. A familiar Trooper standing at the pathway.
"Samson!" Rex shouted.
"Hurry! Get in the shuttle!" Samson shouted.
Red bolts flew past him as Samson pointed his blaster towards the enemy Troopers and fired at the TK's down below. The first one struck a TK in the chest. The second one struck another one on the shoulder, caused him fall off the bridge.
"I'll go first." Said Echo as he got onto the shuttle.
Once he did, one of the clones was next. Greer and another clone helped an injured clone out the transport. While Rex, Nemec, and Howzer helped by defending from the Imperial troops. Soon, one by one, the clones all got on the shuttle. Rex pressed his helmet "Stonewall, everyone is inside. Disengage and get us out of here." Said Rex.
"Roger that."
The shuttle door closed as the shuttle then flew up towards space. Once in space, Stonewall then set the coordinates before jumping into hyperspace. Leaving the planet behind.
Well, that's it for this first chapter. It's something I wanted to do. And since this will be an AU, things will be different. Also since we didn't got the name of the red Clone Trooper, I just name him Stonewall. Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed the chapter. Leave a review and I'll see you all later.
