Chapter 117
Battle with the Devi Part 3
In a vent somewhere on Hade's ship, Happy, Carla, and Pantherlily were crawling inside on a mission to take out Hade's power source to his ship, per Natsu's request, Happy in front, Carla the middle, and Pantherlily in the back. The three exceeds weren't able to find anything so far as they searched the halls, so they were hoping that the vent could lead them wherever the power source could be.
"Man, where the heck is this thing's power source?" complained Happy. "Is the power source super small and we just overlooked it or something?"
"Given the size of the ship," said Carla. "I find it unlikely that it's being powered by anything that small. It's most likely a giant lacrima of some kind."
"So, why exactly are we crawling around through the ductwork like this?" wondered Pantherlilly.
"Don't ask me," scoffed Carla. "Why don't you ask, Happy? This was his idea in the first place."
"I just have a feeling," said Happy. "Trust me. I'll know it when I see it."
"A feeling?!" Pantherlily snapped indignantly. "How about you feel my fist?!"
Happy soon came to an opening which was overlooking a room below the duct. Through the opening, Happy could see a strange purple glow coming through it. Feeling a bit curious, he peered through it and gasped freezing up, causing Carla to bump into him and Pantherlily to bump into her. Happy then looked back scowling angrily at Lily.
"Lily, you just bumped into it, didn't you?" the blue exceed spoke venomously. "Carla just bopped into my butt, which means that you must've gotten a full taste of her tushy, right?"
"It's not my fault!" protested Pantherlily. "You were the only that suddenly stopped without warning!"
But Happy went on glaring, his face filled with anger and jealousy. "So, it's my fault that you couldn't stop yourself from bumping into her butt?!" Happy growled. "Tell me the truth! You did, didn't you?!"
"Would you stop acting like a child and focus?!" Pantherlily snapped now cross. "This is hardly the time and place to be squabbling over something so trivial! It's not even a big deal!"
"It's a big deal for me!" Happy shot back. "And just that, when we get home, I challenging you to a duel!"
"Would the two of you knock it off already?!" Carla cried, stopping the two. "What made you stop in the first place, Happy? Did you see something?"
Happy suddenly remembered, "Oh, yeah! I did," he spoke as he looked back down the vent. "Do either of you two know what that's supposed to be?"
Carla and Pantherlily then looked down from the duct, and the two of them froze with fear as well. The thing that they were looking at was a strange generator that was not only the source of the glow, but also had a beating heart in the middle. The Exceeds opened the vent and got out of the duct and walked up to the strange object mesmerized with how ominous it looked.
"So what do you think?" asked Happy. "You think that's it? It... looks like it's alive."
"Who can say?" Carla murmured. "But to be honest, it doesn't look like a power source to me."
Pantherlily stroked his chin, thinking as he began to understand. "Grimoire Heart... or Devil's Heart," he spoke thoughtfully. "That's got to be the power source. It's like the heart of the ship itself hence the name."
Then there was trouble. From the door just behind them, the Exceeds heard voices along with a pattering of footsteps.
"Hey! I heard some voices on the other side!"
"Don't be ridiculous! How can anyone get in there?"
"It doesn't matter! Hurry up and get in there!"
"Oh, no! They found us!" Carla gasped.
"What'll we do?!" shrieked Happy with horror.
Pantherlily immediately ran for the door. "I'll try to keep them occupied! You two find a way to destroy that thing!"
"How are we supposed to do that on your own?!" cried Happy.
"Break it, of course!" Carla replied. "Fiddle with things at random if you have to?! Let's go, Happy!"
Carla and Happy rushed over to the panels around the heart and pressed buttons and adjusted dials trying to break the heart as the door burst open. A massive squad of Grimoire Heart soldiers came pouring into the room, only to find Pantherlily barring their way. At first, they didn't think of the black exceed as much of a threat, but that soon changed when Pantherlily changed into his battle form.
With a mighty roar, Pantherlily shot forward and gave one of the soldiers a powerful punch sending him crashing into a group of others. Then another soldier came right for the Exceed swinging a large silver and red sword, but Pantherlily saw the incoming attack and caught the sword with his bare hand yanking it away.
"How very generous of you," Pantherlily smirked. "I needed a new sword."
"But that's mine!" protested the soldier. "Give it back!"
Pantherlily answered by giving the sword a mighty swing mowing down not only the soldier he stole it from, but also some others as well. Then Pantherlily noticed something strange happening with the sword. At first, it began to release strange green smoke; then the blade suddenly grew to a large size much to Pantherlily's bewilderment.
"I don't believe it," the black exceed gasped. "What are the odds that I would find a size-changing sword outside of Edolas?!" A smile then spread on his cheeks as he looked towards the soldiers. "I think I'll keep it! It's the perfect replacement for Bustermarm!"
The soldiers not backing down charged at Pantherlily desperate to protect the heart, but Pantherlily kept mowing them down one after another using his newly acquired weapon. The sheer force from his swings alone produced powerful gusts of wind which gave Carla and Happy a little bit of trouble as they tried not to be blown away.
Then more trouble came. Pantherlily did indeed have an advantage now that he had a weapon, but no matter how many soldiers he took out, another few would take their place which was making the numbers game slowly catch up with him.
"Damn it all; there's no end to them!" Pantherlily growled. "How many more soldiers are there in this place?!"
"Don't let up, men!" yelled out a soldier. "We've got the advantage when it comes to numbers! Don't let that cat thing scare you!"
The soldiers soon had Panthelily surrounded and were all readying to attack him at once, but Pantherlily was ready for them ready to swing his sword again, but before he could there was a scream which came from the back of the soldiers. The next minute, a soldier came flying out from the back falling face-first to the ground unconscious. Everyone was shocked and immediately towards where the soldier came from to see a shadow walking towards them, its footsteps echoing.
"Well, what do you know. Looks like this is quite a predicament," the shadow said. "Looks to me that you guys could use a little help."
"Who are you?!" demanded Pantherlily.
The shadowed figure didn't say anything more as it flashed a smile in the darkness.
WILLY'S POV
As I lied there on the ground, I still couldn't comprehend what I was seeing. Natsu was squaring off against Hades as he bathed in his flames along with lightning. One thing's for sure; he was more powerful than he ever was before. I could feel it just by looking at him.
"I've never seen anything like this before," Gray said. "A fusion between flames and lightning?"
"A lightning flame dragon," Wendy commented with wonder.
"This is just like the time he ate a shard of Etherion back at the Tower of Heaven," said Erza. "Only this time, it's different."
"But does he have enough power to take on Hades by himself?" I thought. "Before he and the others could hardly even scratch him, and even Laxus and I couldn't beat him! Either way, I hope he does. Because I don't know how much longer I can keep this up! Come on, Natsu! Beat Hades for sure this time! I'm counting on you!"
Natsu and Hades continued to stare each other down with only the sound of sparking electricity from Natsu's magic aura being the only thing heard. Finally, Natsu let out an inhuman roar as he charged at Hades forcing me to duck. At an incredible speed, he landed a powerful punch infused with flames square at Hade's face sending him flying and bouncing off the wall. Natsu attacked again this time landing a downwards kick on Hades' head making the man catch fire. The leader of Grimoire Heart used his aura to disperse the flames, but then he was suddenly struck with a powerful lightning bolt which made him cry out in agony and surprise, which made my jaw drop in amazement.
"No way! Did Natsu just use a lightning attack?!" I cried out.
"That's awesome!" I heard Lucy say with a hint wonder. "He not only absorbed his power, but he can use his attacks too!"
"This is what happens to anyone who messes with Fairy Tail!" Natsu roared as his fist ignited with fire and lightning. "I'LL MAKE YOU PAY!"
The pink-haired boy gave Hades a mighty punch with his dual magic-powered fist sending him flying over several feet skidding along the floor ripping it apart. Natsu then jumped up into the air generating flames on his right hand and lightning on his left, bringing them together above his head to create a massive ball of lightning and fire.
"NOW SAY GOODBYE! ! ! ! !"
Natsu then threw it his enemy, resulting in a massive explosion of flames and lightning, making the entire ship tremble from it. Suddenly, from the smoke of the blast, Hades jumped out and using his Chain Magic, made one shoot out and clamp onto Natsu's hands as they landed back on the ground.
"Now try hitting me with your hands bound!" Hades cackled viciously.
In response, Natsu struggled and heaved until he finally broke out of the chain, much to Hades' disbelief as well as mine. Then Natsu began to inhale deeply, his magic power swelling up as well as his cheeks. Immediately I conjured a sword of water and stabbed it in the ground holding on tightly to it.
"Brace yourselves, guys! He's going for a breath attack!"
"LIGHTNING FLAME DRAGON ROAR! ! ! !"
But my warning came too late, as Natsu unleashed a powerful blast of flame and lightning from his mouth releasing a powerful shockwave of wind forcing cling to my sword to keep myself from blowing away. The whole ship shook violently as the force of Natsu's attack continued to buffet about making me cling to my sword desperately holding on. When the shockwave slowly disappeared, and I could see again, I looked up, and my eyes went wide, and my mouth was even more agape than before.
Lying on the floor was a severely singed and unconscious Hades who lay just in front of a giant hole in the hall which was made thanks to Natsu's breath attack. The fire dragon was standing tall as he stood there, panting and exhausted.
"Take that, old man..." I heard Natsu speak weakly. "That's what you get... for messing with us."
He staggered backward appearing not to know where he was right now. It was then that I realized that he was falling backwards to the hole that was made previously before. Thankfully, Lucy immediately reacted by rushing forward, leaned over the edge, appearing to catch Natsu by the hand just as he fell. Not wanting her to go over too, I rushed on over to help her as I took hold of Natsu also.
"Don't worry, Natsu! We got you!" I told him while gritting my teeth.
"Thanks a lot, you guys," Natsu spoke, who was more dazed than he was exhausted. "Hey... I'm totally out of magic power now... so do you either of you two have any fire stored somewhere?"
"Well, if you go firing that much magic power like that, of course, you'd end up like this," Lucy chuckled. "At least you're not in a coma."
"Come on. Let's get you up, Natsu," I smiled. "When we get back to camp, you can have all the fire that you want."
And with Lucy and I pulling together, we managed to pull Natsu back up as the others began to celebrate, relieved that our war with Grimoire Heart was over.
"Looks like we finally won," Gray spoke.
"We did it!" cheered Wendy.
I then looked back and smiled at the others feeling relieved that this was all over. Even though it wasn't me that finished off Hades, I was satisfied thinking that he would no longer be a threat. Now there was the matter of getting everyone out of here and back to the base camp. Speaking of the base camp, I was hoping that Mira and the others wouldn't be too upset with me for taking off without telling them.
"They're probably freaking out of their minds right now. But hopefully, I'll be able to smooth things over when we get back."
Lucy's voice then caught my attention. "Hey, Willy. Would you mind helping me carry Natsu? He's kind of heavy."
"Oh! Sure thing, Lucy," I said as I slung Natsu's arm around my shoulder.
Lucy and I then walked over to the others while carrying Natsu on our shoulders. I was just about to open my mouth to talk, when suddenly, I felt a chill go through my spine, causing me to snap my head back to where Hades was lying. As I stared at him searching for any signs of life, I heard a voice that came from that body.
"You kids are quite impressive. However, as they say, you may have knocked me down, but I'm far from out."
My blood immediately ran cold from horror as Hades' body slowly sat up and got back on its feet as his clothes suddenly became fresh and new like nothing ever happened.
"You've got to be kidding me!" Gray cried in frustration. "How in the hell is he still standing?!"
"What kind of monster could survive such a powerful attack?!" Erza spoke with a hint of fear.
"Well done, Makarov. You've raised some truly remarkable yet frightening children despite your flawed ideals," Hades went on. "How long has it been since I've been tattered and torn after a good brawl? But however much I appreciate the entertainment, I must get back to work. I'll be obliterating you now, and believe me; you'll wish I'd done so earlier." He then glared at me. "And Willy Falconer, you're going to wish you'd surrendered yourself to me when you had the chance, for I'll be killing you along with them."
Hades reached for his eye patch that covered his left and took it off.
"DEVIL'S EYE. OPEN."
At his command, his left eye slowly began to open, revealing the sclera to be a glowing evil red color. Also, a large amount of magic power began to ooze throughout his very body growing larger by the second, making his hair stand up on end giving him a demonic appearance, which made me feel all the more stupified and frightened that he still had this much magic left.
"No way... This can't be!" whimpered Wendy, who sounded on the brink of crying. "This can't be real! It can't!"
"I've never sensed so much magic power in one place before!" Erza gasped her voice shuddering.
"And it's getting bigger by the second!" said Lucy. "Natsu!"
I then looked towards Natsu who appeared to be so weak that he couldn't even stand up.
"Damn it!" Natsu cursed as he punched the floor in frustration. "That last attack did me in! I don't even have the strength to move!"
"Come on, you've got to pull yourself together!" begged Lucy.
"I can't...!" coughed Natsu. "I'm... completely out!"
"Now, you will all witness something you've never seen before!" proclaimed Hades. "The Abyss of Sorcery! This domain of magic that far exceeds your wildest imaginations! To walk on the path of sorcery, one must sink into the eternal abyss that is known as darkness! Within that darkness, lies the primordial magic that shines like the heavens, the purest form of magic power."
He raised out his hand and closed it into a fist.
"I can feel it! The primordial magic is so close, I can almost grasp it, yet it's so far in the depths, it might as well be out of reach! Within those depths is a lost world, the Grand Magic World, and Zeref is the key to reach it! Tonight, Zeref shall awaken, and history will forevermore be changed, and soon after, the primordial magic will be mine! You lot, on the other hand, have no place in the Grand Magic World because you all lack the resolve to step into the abyss, and only the strong can survive!"
"The Primordial Magic?" puzzled Erza. "Just what is he talking about?"
"I don't know, but things are about to get worse for us," said Gray.
Hades then took a stance, spreading his arms and hands out wide and began to slowly move them in a circular motion as he evil magic aura flared wildly.
"CHAPTER FOUR! VERSE TWELVE FROM THE BOOK OF ZEREF!" he boomed. "ARCANE MAGIC: NEMESIS!"
At his command, from the rubble lying around, several numerous creatures began to sprout forth, coming to life, all of them growing to various shapes and sizes towering over us all. They all were gradient colors of black and violet with strange red markings on them, had razor-sharp teeth, no eyes, and every single one of them had an overwhelming magic power that made the opponents we faced before seem like children. Every one of them let loose a demonic roar that made even the air tremble, which made them all the more terrifying.
"He's creating demons from the rubble?!" I heard Gray cry in shock.
"With the magic power of the abyss at my command, I can even create nightmares from the tiniest speck of dust!" Hades spoke. "They are known as the children of dancing demons as well as the judges of heaven, such as the supremacy of Arcane Magic!"
At this point, I had all but one feeling surging through my body.
Fear.
Pure fear was coursing through me right now. So much so that my body began to tremble and shake, my heart began to beat like a drum in my chest, and I even started to sweat. I knew that I had faced a demon before back when I was a child, but the one I fought was nothing compared to the ones that Hades had spawned.
I wanted to run. I wanted to run away just to get away from these monstrosities, but my feet stayed rooted to the spot, refusing to move. Then I heard a small sob which came behind to my left.
"Please... Someone... Make them go away. I'm scared. I'm scared. I'm scared."
I then turned around and saw Wendy, who had her face buried in her hands, crying from fear. I also could see the others looking terrified too. Lucy was desperately clinging to a weakened Natsu as her eyes shed tears of terror. Gray was on his hands and knees his body shaking like a leaf, his confidence, and courage in shambles. Even Erza was trembling as she stared at the demonic beings with eyes filled with fright and uncertainty. Everyone of Team Natsu was frozen with fear along with me. It seemed that there was nothing that we could do at the moment, but then suddenly, I remembered something that Laxus said.
"When facing a tough opponent, it doesn't matter how strong they are. What's important is that you stand up to them."
This made me feel a little less afraid and after finally regaining the will to move, I walked a couple steps forward standing in front of the others.
"Willy, what are you doing?!" I heard Erza ask.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" I replied. "I'm going to fight these things."
"You out of your mind?!" Gray spoke, his voice quivering. "You know you don't stand a chance against those things! You'll die!"
"You don't think I'm aware of that?" I spoke while clenching my hands, trying to be brave. "I know I don't stand a chance against these things, but I don't care! I know you're all scared, and I'm scared too, but the most important thing is standing up to your opponent, no matter how strong they are, right?! And right now, I'll stand up and fight till the very end to protect you guys! I may be outmatched, but there's no way in hell I'm going down feeling helpless!"
I took a stance and prepared myself for a fight, ready to die fighting for my comrades, but my body was still trembling as the demons growled menacingly at me. I screamed at myself to stop being so afraid, but my body kept reacting instinctively. Then I heard Natsu from behind me.
"Way to go, Willy. You took the words right out of my mouth. Besides, we've got everything we need to beat this guy right here," Natsu said quietly. "There's nothing wrong with fear. How else would you be able to come to know our own weaknesses? And you need to know them to become a stronger and gentler person."
Not expecting those words to come out of his mouth, I turned around to see Natsu now standing up on his feet, his face filled with determination, not showing a single trace of fear on it.
"Today, at this very moment, we've learned how weak we truly are. So what do we do next? I'll tell you," He paused, taking a deep breath. "We grow stronger as we face them head-on! When you're alone, it might be too frightening to bear, but right now I've got you guys! I still have courage because you're all here with me! There's no reason to be afraid! We're not alone!"
As I stared at Natsu filled with admiration from his speech, the fear I was feeling, slowly started being replaced with courage. My body even stopped trembling as a smile slowly spread on my cheeks.
"Still clinging to the light with your empty set of words?" I heard Hades mock. "Your future is nothing but darkness, and your peacockery ends now!"
I then turned to face Hades. "That's not the way we see it, Old Man!" I shot back. "If anything, your future's the one having nothing but darkness! In our future, we see nothing but the light, and it's going to be the light that will take you down! Because that's how Fairy Tail rolls!"
I could sense that everyone else was getting back up on their feet, ready to make one final stand. I silently said myself a little prayer as I braced myself what would possibly be my last battle.
"LET'S GO ! ! ! ! ! ! !"
With all of us letting out a mighty cry, the six of us charged straight at Hades, as the leader of Grimoire Heart places his hands together, his left hand on the bottom with his pinky and index fingers extended, and his right on top with only the middle and index fingers pointed.
"What could you possibly hope to do without any magic power?!" Hades boomed condescendingly. "I shall send you to the depths of darkness, as your sun finally sets Fairy Tail! Now dance, my devils of the earth!"
At his command, the demons that Hades summoned unleashed numerous blasts of magic converging straight towards us, but I continued to press forward not daring to stop as the blasts and beams shot past me crashing to the floor as I ran.
Then as I continued to press forward, I saw Natsu shoot right past me as a couple of blasts came right for him. Reacting quickly, I ran close behind him and put my hands together and with a mighty heave and a ram, I threw Natsu forward, pushing him past the blasts as I fell to the ground. The next minute, there was a tremendous explosion that filled the entire area with smoke.
When the smoke cleared, I now could see the roof of the ship destroyed, the dark, murky clouds in the sky looming above. However, I kept my eyes focused straight ahead, wondering what became of Natsu after I launched him.
I saw him connect a powerful punch square into Hades' jaw, sending him flying backward, unfazed by the last attacks. As Hades skidded to a stop managing to remain standing, his face was filled with pure disbelief, appearing to look like he had seen a ghost.
"No! This is impossible!" Hades gasped. "My Arcane Magic did not affect you?! How could that be...?! My magic-"
Then suddenly, I saw the red glow from his left eye fade as he held it in pain. The moment he did, Natsu came charging forward and gave him a powerful uppercut to his chin, sending him reeling back. At the same time, the monsters that he created all began to crack and crumble into dust fading into the wind, while his magic power began to drop sharply. At that moment, a smile crept its way to my cheeks as I began to chuckle. My chuckle grew louder and louder until it turned into a fit of laughter.
"Finally!" I roared with victory. "I was wondering when he would get around to destroying it! Cut a little bit close, but better late than never!"
"Willy Falconer!" Hades snapped, hearing my laughter. "What did you do?!"
Everyone turned their eyes on me as I looked at Hades, smiling from ear to ear while standing up.
"Sorry about that, Hades. You probably thought I was a foolish boy, right? But I'm not as foolish as you think I am," I spoke. "You see, before I came here, I used my Aqua Sense to trace your magic power and while it was incredibly strong, something off. I also began to sense something else that had the same magic aura as yours did. That's when I figured it out. The second magic level I sensed was a generator of some kind, which was feeding you all of that magic you're so proud of. So just before I joined the fight, I created an Aqua Clone implanting it with whatever magic power I had and sent it to take out the generator. From there, I drank as much rainwater as I could and worked from there."
Hades eyes went even wider, his mouth agape. "Impossible... you... you destroyed my Devil's Heart?!"
"That's right, well technically my clone did. And I know because I can feel your magic power dropping sharply. Sounds to me that you should have heeded my last advice before," I went on pointing. "Because you underestimated us, and I may not be as strong as you are... but I'm smarter."
Hades was seething with fury, a couple of veins popping out of his forehead. He then let out a scream of anguish and rage as he shot towards me, only to have Natsu intercept him with a powerful kick to his face along with a few other punches. I was just about to join him, when I noticed Wendy, Lucy, Erza, and Gray staring at something behind them. Then I looked to and saw an astonishing sight.
The Tenrou Tree that once stood tall before being felled, was once again rising returning back to its proper place on the island.
"The Tenrou Tree..." I murmured.
"It's returned to normal!" Lucy gasped. "But how?!"
Then, as soon as the Tenrou Tree was fully erect, standing tall once again, my guild mark on my arm suddenly began to glow along with everyone else. As my mark glowed, I could feel my magic start to return within my body, which filled me with strength.
"Our magic power... is coming back!" Erza gasped.
"Well, it's about time!" said Gray smirking.
"No kidding!" I agreed. "Thank you, Tenrou Tree!"
At that moment, a powerful blast caught my attention causing me to look in time to see Natsu being blown back by Hades who now not only had anger evident on his face, but also panic as he gave him a sharp kick to his face knocking him down to the ground.
"Stay back! Until I stand above all others who follow the path of sorcery, the devil within will never sleep!" Hades shrieked hysterically.
Then, Laxus appeared swinging and connecting his fist square into Hades' jaw, knocking him back. "What the hell are you guys waiting for?! Attack! Come on, Fairy Tail!"
And as if a switch went off inside of my head, I let my magic aura flare as I let out a roar. "He's right! Take him out now while he's weakened!"
And the six of us then broke into a run gunning straight for Hades.
"This might be our last shot, so let's make it count!" Erza yelled.
"We got to blast this geezer with everything we have!" Gray shouted.
Lucy then whipped out a golden key, holding it up in the air as we all scattered. "We may not have a contract yet, but here goes! OPEN! GATE OF THE SEA-GOAT, CAPRICORN!"
At her command, a tall, male, humanoid goat wearing a suit appeared by her side, and then leaped towards Hades, who was surprised to see him.
"You traitor! How dare you turn on me?!" Hades barked crossly.
Capricorn answered back with a swift punch to his cheek, a roundhouse kick to his chin, and a fast elbow to his face. "I have rid myself Zordio!" he proclaimed to Hades. "I am Lady Lucy's Celestial Spirit, Capricorn!"
As Hades staggered backward, Wendy then jumped into the fray bringing up her hands above her head. "I want to get in on this too! SKY DRAGON WING ATTACK!"
She unleashed powerful currents of air from her hands and swung them forwards blasting Hades away and sending him tumbling.
Gray then attacked next using his Ice Make Magic to create two large swords of ice in each of his hands.
"ICE MAKE: ICE BRINGER! ! !"
He swung both of his blades into an X slicing Hades square in his chest, making him cry out in agony. As he began to fell towards the ground, Erza rushed forward requipping into her Heaven's Wheel Armor, her swords poised and ready.
"NOW, HEAVEN'S WHEEL: PENTAGRAM SWORD!"
In an incredible speed, she sliced her swords at Hades in the shape of a pentagram star inflicting more damage at Hades as he was sent skidding and sliding backward, while trying to stand firm. Seeing him wide open to attack, Natsu and I then charged forward ready to deliver the finishing blow.
"Willy! Follow my lead!" Natsu yelled as he began charging his magic power as he rushed at Hades, flames on the right hand and lightning on his left. "ADVANCED DRAGON SLAYER SECRET ART!"
"You got it, Natsu!" I shouted back as I cloaked my hands with water charging my own magic power. "DRAGON SLAYER SECRET ART!"
As Hades turned around dazed and angered, both Natsu and I let out bellowing screams as the two of us prepared to unleash our spells while Hades brought his hands together trying to cast a spell of his own.
"GRIMOIRE LAW-"
But he then his face paled realizing that he was too late as Natsu and I unleashed our spells.
"FLAME LOTUS EXPLODING LIGHTNING BLADE! ! !"
"AQUA LOTUS IMPLODING TORRENT BLADE! ! !"
The two of us both swung our arms and unleashed giant vortexes of our respective elements, Natsu's being flames and lightning, while mine was a vortex of water. Our attacks combined and made Hades howl in agony as the flames, water, and lightning overtook him, sending him crashing to the ground, unconscious and finally defeated.
At that moment, the sun slowly began to emerge from over the horizon as if Mother Nature was telling us that we won and was celebrating our victory. Natsu and I stood there for a few seconds making sure that Hades stayed there, then Natsu fell to his knees from exhaustion while I bent over trying to catch my breath-holding my knees.
"We... we did it..." I gasped. "It's finally over... We won..."
"We did it, Gramps..." Natsu panted. "We showed them the power of our guild, while putting everything on the line..." He then let out a roar of victory, which almost made me want to cover my ears. "FAIRY TAIL IS OUR GUILD! ! ! AND IT'S THE GREATEST! ! ! ! ! ! !"
And as everyone else rushed over to us, I couldn't help but agree that Natsu was indeed correct.
And with that, the battle with Hades is over!
