"BANANAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"- The Minions

Sorry, I had to get that off my chest. Now, on with the story:

This is 29 Acacia Road, and this is Eric, a schoolboy who leads an exciting double life. For when Eric eats a banana, an amazing transformation occurs! Eric is Bananaman, ever alert for the call to action…..

I'M BANANAMAN NO MORE

One night, at Doctor Gloom's castle, the evil doctor, General Blight, Appleman and the WeatherMan were coming up with yet another plan to stop Bananaman and take over the world.

"He has a small I.Q., yet he beats us every time," said Blight.

"I have been defeated by him 2'597 times now," said Appleman.

"Maybe we should retire," said the Weather Man.

But Doctor Gloom was in deep thought. Then he had an idea.

"Yes, he has defeated us many times, gentlemen," he said. "But I have a plan. However, the biggest part of our plan is getting caught on purpose."

The others looked at him. Yet they were intrigued.

"Go on," said Blight

Doctor Gloom started to explain his plan. After he was finished, big smiles appeared on the villains' faces. They all began to laugh evilly.

"Let us tear this banana apart!" laughed Gloom.

"A banana split!" laughed Blight.

And there was more evil laughter to be had.

The next morning on 'Good Morning Dandy Town', Eric was busy swooning over Fiona doing her usual news update, until…..

The TV screen went static.

And then our four villains appeared.

"Bananaman! I know you're watching!" said Doctor Gloom. "Meet us at the Abandoned Toy Factory, I have a surprise that'll change your life!"

Eric ate a banana, turned into Bananaman and flew straight to the Toy Factory.

When he got there, the villains were waiting for him. And what was in the middle of the factory?

A giant bomb shaped like an apple.

"An idea from General Blight," said Gloom.

"Back when I was in the army, my plan was to blow up the enemy's country," explained Blight.

"And that's why you were kicked out," said Bananaman. "You'll be in prison for a long time, gentlemen."

"On the contrary," said Weather Man. "We're counting on it."

"What?" asked Bananaman.

"You see, we'll end up in prison, but your life will be ruined forever," said Appleman.

"This bomb will blow up the entire town, unless you can disarm it," said Blight.

"There are four switches to deactivate the bomb," explained Gloom. "But they are all over Dandytown."

"And you have to deactivate the switches in five minutes!" laughed Weather Man.

Bananaman began to sweat. What if he can't find the switches in time?

"I just press this button and the games shall begin," said Gloom as he was ready to press the button on the console.

"Wait!" said Bananaman. "Before you press the button, I want to call the police."

"Very well," said Gloom.

Bananaman pulled out his banana phone and called Chief O'Reily. He told the Chief what was happening.

"Incase I don't deactivate the bomb in time, I want you to get EVERY single person in this town out of here," he told him.

"Okay, boy-o," said the Chief.

And with that, the Chief ordered the entire Dandytown police to go every single home and get everybody out of there in five minutes.

The people included Cuddles and Dimples and their parents, Dinah-Mo and her parents, Sneaker, Korky the Cat and the Kits, Percy and his family, Bully Beef and Chips, Brain Duane, Beryl the Peril, Molly and her long suffering parents, and even Desperate Dan and his aunt and uncle.

The police had to go to the Dandytown western district to get them.

Whilst this was happening, Gloom looked at Bananaman.

"You ready?" asked Gloom.

Bananaman let out a deep breath.

"Ready?"

Gloom pressed the button and the countdown began.

Bananaman flew out of the factory and tried to fly all over the town to find the switches. Fortunately, he had Crow with him.

"B-Man, over here!"

The Crow pointed at the now empty Number 13 haunted house. B-man flew down and turned off the switch there.

One down, three to go.

On the streets of Dandytown, our four villains walked out for the police to see.

"Hey, pigs!" Weather Man called out.

The police spotted them and ran over to arrest them. They couldn't help but notice the four villains were smiling.

"What's so amusing?" asked a cop.

"You'll see," said General Blight.

Bananaman had deactivated two more switches. One at Winker Watson's boarding school and the other at the Wild West district.

There was one more switch left, and there was just a minute to go.

Thankfully, EVERY single person was out of Dandy town. The police brought them onto the side of the road in a massive crowd. The police brought the villains aside too.

Bananaman was in a panic. WHERE WAS THE FINAL SWITCH?

Our four villains smirked. They knew where the final switch was.

It was at Beanotown!

"Bananaman! We have to go NOW!" cried Crow.

Bananaman knew he had no choice. He and Crow flew out of there.

KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

The Dandy folk watched in horror as their beloved home was blown to smithereens.

All of the buildings, streets, parks, everything was gone….

There was silence…..

And then tears…..

And weeping….

The people of Dandy Town had nowhere to live.

Bananaman sank to his knees.

He couldn't believe it.

He failed to save the town.

His eyes filled up with tears.

His bottom lip quivered.

He pounded his fist on the fist with rage.

"Feeling upset, Bananaman?" asked Doctor Gloom with a smirk. He was enjoying this very much.

Bananaman looked at the smirking villain.

"Chief O'Reily, take them away," said our fallen hero.

Our smirking villains had handcuffs put on them and were put in the back of the police van.

As it drove off, the teary Bananaman looked at the equally teary people of the now extinct Dandy Town.

"I am so sorry…..," he said with his voice breaking.

"You tried your best," said Desperate Dan.

"You saved all of us," said Aunt Aggie.

"But I could not save your town…..," wept Bananaman. "Go to Beanotown, the police will find you homes."

Bananaman flew into the sky. He had to get away from everyone.

He landed in a nearby forest.

He just stood there, traumatised by what happened. He began to sob again. And this time he let out a massive yell.

He hated himself for what happened.

Crow eventually found him.

"B-man, there was nothing you could do," he told him.

"I am a failure, Crow," wept Bananaman. "The world would be better without me."

The effects of Bananaman were wearing off. He was turning back into Eric.

He looked at Crow in the eyes.

"Crow, that was the last time I tried to save the world."

Crow looked hurt.

"Eric….."

"From this day forth, Crow," Eric announced with tears in his eyes. "I'm Bananaman no more."

This hit Crow like a brick.

"I'm nothing but trouble," sobbed Eric as he walked back to the road to join the other Dandy citizens.

.

.

.

.

.

"Eric? Eric?" his mother called out among the sea of Dandy folk.

"Mum?" asked Eric.

She hugged him.

"Where were you? I couldn't find you?" asked mum.

"I was hiding in the forest," lied Eric.

Both of them began to cry.

"Our home! Our home!" sobbed mum.

Eric was glad that he wasn't going to be Bananaman anymore.

So the Dandy folk went to Beano Town. Their once rivals felt sorry for them, and some of the families stayed in the motels for free. Later, the government gave them money to start anew.

Desperate Dan and his aunt Aggie stayed in the Beano Wild West district. But they were warned of three greedy bears.

Eric, Molly, Dinah Mo, Sneaker, Percy, Les Pretend and the other kids went to Bash Street School.

Everyone had bought new houses and even stayed in tower blocks.

The Dandytown police would later work for the Beanotown police

Eric and his mum got a new house.

And one night Eric had a dream.

He dreamt that he met Bananaman.

"Please Eric, don't quit," begged Bananaman. "We need each other."

Eric shook his head.

Bananaman's eyes filled up with tears.

"Eric please!" He begged. "The world needs us!"

"Dandytown needed us, and look what happened," replied Eric.

"We can't do everything!" said Bananaman.

"This is for the best," sobbed Eric. "I'm sorry."

Bananaman looked at him with tears rolling down his cheeks.

"So this is goodbye, my friend?" he sobbed.

"I'm afraid so," said the teary eyed Eric.

"Well, goodbye," said Bananaman as he held out his hand.

Eric held out his hand and shook it.

"Goodbye, Bananaman."

Then he walked away.

Things were sort of getting better for the Dandy folk. And best of all, Doctor Gloom and his friends were in the Maximum Security Prison.

So the world was safe.

For now….
