Chapter 137

The Rose Garden

The next morning, after getting a good night's sleep, and getting a good breakfast, me, as well as Team Natsu, Éclair, and Momon, were now on the train en route to a town that was just before our destination, known as Rose Garden. On one side of the aisle, I was sitting beside, Éclair and Momon, while Lucy, Wendy, Carla, sat across from me. Next to us, Mira was seated beside Erza and Gray, while Natsu and Happy were across from them.

Everyone was enjoying the ride so far, except for Natsu, who was suffering through his motion sickness again. His face was practically blue as he hunched over, holding his stomach in agony as he whimpered. It made me glad that I didn't have to suffer as much as he was, right now.

"Be careful not to ruin my boots, man!" warned Gray, as he put his feet up. "Geez, it's as bad as it always is!"

"Wendy, can't you use your motion sickness spell?" wondered Happy. "Natsu could a heaping dose of it right now."

"I think that I probably shouldn't, Happy," Wendy spoke apologetically. "The more I use it, the less it works. Sorry, Natsu."

"Just try to bear with it until we reach the Rose Garden station," Erza told Natsu.

"Why does my tummy hate me so much?" moaned Natsu pitifully.

"The poor thing," Mira spoke, feeling sorry. "I wish there was some way to make Natsu feel better."

"So do I, but I don't see that happening any time soon," I said. "Unless someone finds a way to get Natsu to think that the train's his friend."

As the train rolled on, I happened to catch a glance at Éclair who had been quiet the whole time. The girl's face was as stoic as ever as she stared out the window watching the land go by.

"So, where are you from Éclair?" Lucy asked. "We never really got a chance to ask you the other day."

"I honestly don't know," responded Éclair. "I don't have any clear memories of it."

"You mean, like some sort of amnesia?" puzzled Lucy. "That's just like what happened to Willy."

"Perhaps that's it, albeit, only partially," said Éclair. She then looked up with a slight smirk. "I do remember some things though, like not liking wizards. Especially the nosy kind."

Lucy, now feeling insulted, turned away in a huff, her cheeks puffed up in a pout.

"Shame on you, Éclair! Why do you have to be like that?!" Momon scolded. "I'm sorry about her rudeness. Despite her lack of social graces, Éclair's a good person once you get to know her."

"Pointless chatter," Éclair muttered.

"Whatever you say," Lucy also muttered, still feeling hurt.

"Now, now. Let's not get off on the wrong foot here," I said, trying to soothe the atmosphere. "Besides, it's not good to force an investigation, you know. Especially since that Éclair has amnesia, if what she's saying is true. More importantly, we should stay focused on getting to the Boundary Forest." I looked across to Éclair. "Although, I do agree with Momon, when comes to being nicer, Éclair. Lucy was only trying to be friendly as are the rest of us."

But Éclair returned her gaze to the window not saying another word. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't still curious about Éclair, but if she did indeed have amnesia, I thought it would be for the best that if we take things slow. No matter how rude she was.

After a while, due to the ride being longer than I expected, I decided to do some meditation to pass the time. Eventually, I felt the train come to a stop, causing me to open my eyes. I glanced over towards the window to see people walking by it, and the sky had gotten dark, the sun setting over the horizon.

"Looks like we're here," I said as I got up, stretching my limbs a little. "About time."

"Yes! Finally!" Natsu cheered, who was of course no longer sick. "Let's get off of this deathtrap!"

I then followed the others as we departed the train, leaving the station, entering a town that was similar to Magnolia with a few other things added in. The streets were ablaze with lanterns that all seemed to be hovering all throughout town, the lamposts that towered over the town each having giant green lacrimas that glowed brightly. Along with the people bustling about the place, I could also see some people flying about in the air either by a large carpet or a broom. It was like something from a fairy tale storybook had come to life right before my eyes. I couldn't help but stare at this magnificent sight in awe, my inner child filling my spirit.

"Whoa! This place is awesome!" Gray spoke in amazement. "There's magic practically everywhere you look!"

"It looks amazing, doesn't it?" said Mira. "Even I'm impressed."

"Yo, Happy!" Natsu spoke to the blue exceed, feeling more energetic than before. "Let's go grab some grub! It's chow time!"

"Aye, Sir!" Happy said energetically.

The two then took off, disappearing into the crowd.

Gray sighed, exasperated. "What a bonehead," he complained. "We barely get into this town, and he already wants to eat?"

"Come on, now. I think those two have the right idea," Erza said. "We don't have to check into our hotel until later this evening anyway. So why don't we all have some fun for a little while?"

"I think that's a wonderful idea, Erza," smiled Mira. "Let's all split up and then meet up later at the hotel?"

We then went our separate ways, going in different directions to see what Rose Garden had to offer. I found myself walking around the busy streets with Mira, the two of us checking out whatever Rose Garden had to offer. There were numerous magical items floating about in the air and there were lots of merchants either selling food and magical items.

"Wow, this place certainly is different than Magnolia," Mira said. "It's like it's one big party."

"I hear you," I said in agreement. "I've certainly never seen a place quite like this before."

Then I realized something that made my heart skip a beat. Mira and I were now alone. For the first time in a while, the two of us were alone without anyone else around. The thought alone made my cheeks start to heat up a little, as Wendy's words from back then echoed in my head.

"Do you like, Mira?"

"Dang it, Willy! Calm down, would you? You know that's not true, so you shouldn't even be getting flustered like this!" I scolded myself. "I mean you're just hanging out with Mira like you always are. No big deal. No problem. Just act normal."

"Say, Willy? What do you say we go get something to eat? I'm feeling a little hungry."

I turned towards Mira, a bit startled by her voice. "O-Oh! Yes! Of course! I could eat! Let's see if we can find a stand somewhere!"

"Is something the matter, Willy?" asked Mira. "You seem so flustered."

"Flustered? Who, Me? No. I'm not flustered!" I spoke, while trying to speak normally. "I'm just, uh, glad that we get to spend some time together again!"

Mira smiled. "Oh. Me too. It has been a long time, hasn't it?" she said. "Let's make sure to make the best of it while we're here. Now come on. Time's a-wasting."

The two of us made our way around the streets passing by the many stalls and checking them out. We bought some food to snack on and went around checking out the merchant stalls to see what their owners were selling. Everything the merchants were selling was enchanted by some form of magic from their food to their goods. Mira seemed to be very fond of the enchanted instruments, and couldn't help but try out a guitar, of which she played beautifully. As for me, I was more interested in the merchants selling swords and of course the fish when it came to food. We even happened to pass by a woman who was selling enchanted fortunes, which was supposed to tell your luck in the future. I honestly didn't think much of these things, but figured I'd give it a try and bought one along with Mira.

Eventually, after wandering around town, nighttime came, and the two of us decided to head for the Hills Hotel, which was where we would be staying for the night. When we entered, we saw that a few members of our group had already arrived. Lucy, Éclair, Wendy, Carla, and Momon were seated over on a red leather sofa in the waiting area, while Erza was at the front desk.

"Hey there, guys. We're back," I greeted.

"Oh, hey, Willy. Mira," Lucy greeted back.

Éclair, just like from before, didn't say a word not even acknowledging us as she sat with Momon. I went over to Lucy and whispered so that only she could hear me.

"Is Éclair still not talking, Lucy?"

"Nope, and I was trying my best to keep her happy too," Lucy said quietly. "But nothing seemed to perk her up. I'm starting to wonder if she hates me that much."

I then sat down next to her as I let out a sigh savoring the soft feel of the sofa. "Well, the only thing we can do for now is to wait until she opens up," I said. "Maybe when she gets her memory restored, she'll be a little more open."

A little while later, it wasn't too long before Natsu, Gray, and Happy came into the hotel as well. All three of them looked like they had been through the hell of their lives, their faces flushed and exhausted. Even Mira looked a bit surprised.

"Oh my goodness," Mira spoke. "What happened to you three?"

"Just do us a favor, Mira," Gray and Natsu sighed, as they plopped onto the sofa. "Don't ask."

As they sat there, I couldn't help but look across to Mira who shrugged, feeling just as puzzled as I was. Then I glanced over towards Erza who was now speaking to the attendant with a jubilant look on her face.

"Your room keys? I shall get them for you in just a moment," the attendant said.

"Thank you very much," Erza thanked happily.

"Well, Erza seems to be in a better mood than usual," observed Natsu. "I wonder why?"

"You got me," I said, as I took a glance at the redhead. "Actually, I don't think I've ever seen her this happy before.

"Maybe it has something to do with the wedding dress she bought earlier," suggested Wendy.

I found myself almost falling over in surprise as I along with everyone else looked at Wendy in disbelief as well as shock.

"WHAT?!"

Erza glanced towards upon hearing outburst. "Is something wrong?" she asked.

"Uh, nothing," all of us replied shaking our head.

The armored redhead gave us a quizzical look, but then returned her attention to the desk.

I then whispered to Wendy. "But why the heck would Erza buy a wedding dress anyway?! It's not like she's getting married or anything. Is she?"

Mira then started to giggle. "I think I may have an idea for her reasoning."

"Do you know something that we don't?" I asked Mira. "Or do you have a hunch?"

"A little bit of both, but I'd rather not say it out loud," said Mira. "After all, the last thing I want to do is get on Erza's bad side."

Then, Erza came over with four room keys in her hand. "Come on now. I've got our keys to our rooms. They're all on the fifth floor."

"Four rooms?" repeated Mira. "Who's going to be sleeping in where?"

"Natsu, Happy, and Gray will be sleeping in one, Lucy, Éclair, and Momon will share another, Wendy and I will take the third, and Willy and Mira will take the fourth," replied Erza.

"Lucky you, Willy," Happy grinned teasingly. "You get to share a room with one of the most beautiful girls in Fairy Tail. I'm so jealous."

I felt my cheeks grow a bit hot from the blue exceed's comment, and I was just about to rebut him, but Mira spoke up first.

"Now, now, Happy. There's no need for teasing," Mira spoke. "Besides, Willy and I used to sleep together back when we were kids, so this is no different."

"M-Mira! Don't tell them that!" I spoke, feeling embarrassed.

"Well, it's true," said Mira. "What's the harm in telling them? After all, we are childhood friends. It's not like we're a couple."

"Y-Yeah. Yeah. We're not a couple," I nodded. "We're just friends. Nothing more, nothing less."

"Although, I certainly wouldn't mind if we had a relationship like that," Mira giggled. "It certainly would make things a bit interesting."

This made my cheeks grow even hotter as I tried my best not to let my wings pop out.

"Oooh, Willy! She loooves you!" Happy teased.

"Happy, enough of your shenanigans!" I said with slightly glaring at the blue cat. "Let's just get to our rooms and sleep already!"

Eventually, we arrived on the fifth floor, and we all went into our separate rooms. Our room was pretty basic compared to the other hotel we went to at the Akane Resort. It had two large and separate beds, and had a lacrima lamp on top of a desk that kept the whole room lit. When we entered, I sat down on the bed closest to the window and took off my hoodie, putting it aside.

"Hey, Willy. I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to take a shower and freshen up," said Mira. "Be sure to let me know if you need anything. And no peeping now."

As she went into the bathroom shutting the door, I couldn't help but let out a sigh feeling a bit exasperated from all the teasing. I then took off my tank top and put on a black t-shirt to sleep in. I started taking off my gloves when I stopped upon seeing the bandages hidden underneath them. That was when I remembered the strange scars that I have been developing lately, and Mira, or rather, no one had a clue about them.

"If Mira sees these, she's definitely going to start asking me questions about them. Not to mention, I still have no clue as to why these have been showing up lately. Whatever they are, they seem to be because of me using that strange power."

I took off my right glove and then undid the bandages a little, to see that the scars still remained. Sure enough, they did, only the color of had seemed to darken. I then placed my other hand on them and began casting my healing spell. As I did, I started thinking about Éclair and Momon, wondering how they were faring with Lucy. Considering the fact that she had a dislike for wizards, I was hoping that those two were getting along and not fighting with one another.

"Maybe I should go check on them before I get some sleep."

I then got up and went over to the bathroom door giving it a couple of knocks. "Hey, Mira. I'm stepping out for a bit. I'll be back in a few."

"Alright then," I heard Mira call. "Don't be out for too long."

I walked out the door to our room and down to the hall until I stopped in front Lucy's and Éclair's door. I was just about to knock, when suddenly, I heard a crash coming from inside, followed by a familiar scream.

"Natsu!"

Recognizing the voice to be Lucy, I made to open the door finding it to be locked. I then gave the door a mighty shove forcing it open. The room was completely dark, the balcony doors wide open, there were remains of a chair scattered around, and I also saw knifes stuck to both Lucy's and Éclair's beds. I immediately rushed over to the window and looked towards the ground below, and I saw four objects running below.

Three of them were Lucy, while wearing a towel, was running as fast as she could while pulling Éclair along with Momon flying close behind them. The fourth was someone that I didn't know, whose figure was hidden under a cloak jumping at a quick speed as he pursued them. The cloaked figure jumped into the air and fired an array of kunai from his hand at the three, forcing them to dodge while turning into an alley as he followed.

"Lucy! Éclair!" I yelled as jumped off the balcony and spread my wings taking flight.

As I was about to pursue them, Natsu and Gray came bursting out the doors from their own balcony, as did Mira from ours.

"Willy! What's going on?!" Mira called out.

"We heard Lucy screaming!" Natsu said.

"Someone's chasing Lucy and Éclair!" I told them. "And it's definitely not the friendly kind!"

I swooped down and flew towards the alley where they disappeared into. I quickly scanned around below trying to see where they could have gone. Then I heard the sound of Lucy's scream from a few feet away, and I saw them on the lower level. The cloaked figure had now extended a blade from his hand and jumped heading straight for them.

Reacting quickly, I used Aqua Jet to shoot straight towards them while conjuring water stars from each of my hands, and threw them. The water stars spun and zipped through the air towards the cloaked figure, only for him to plant his feet on the wall and jump up dodging at the last second. At the same time, a fireball came shooting past as did an array of ice lances, and a stream of dark magic, of which the cloaked figure managed to avoid. I then landed on the ground just in front of Lucy's group, while Natsu, Gray, and Mira in her Satan Soul Form touched down as well.

"You guys! You're here!" Lucy cried with relief. "Thank god!"

The cloaked stranger then landed on the ground in front of us. When he did, from underneath his hood, I could see that his face was hidden by a white mask with red markings above the eyeholes which were colored black. He also appeared to be wearing a trenchcoat underneath the cloak along with gray trousers and metallic gloves, giving him the appearance of an assassin.

"Who the hell are you?!" demanded Natsu.

The cloaked figure seemed to stare at us for a brief second before responding. "Knowing won't help you," he responded in a metallic voice. "None of you are even worthy enough to know my name."

The attacker then turned on his heel and took off running into the alley.

"You guys go on ahead!" Mira spoke as she reverted back to her normal state. "I'll stay here with Lucy and Éclair, and keep them safe!"

"Happy! You stay with them too!" ordered Natsu.

"Aye, sir!" responded Happy.

Natsu, Gray, and I then took off, chasing after the assassin leaving the others behind. We all kept running straight ahead going past people and other alleys, until the assassin took a sharp turn left around a corner. The three of us followed close behind in time to see the assassin disappear behind several curtains of fabric that were being hung out to dry on clotheslines. The three of us raced straight through them until Gray and I came out from the other side.

Natsu, on the other hand, wasn't so lucky as one of the clotheslines snapped, making him trip and fall while getting entangled in the fabric. Gray and I went on ahead not waiting as we turned left around another corner. When we did, the assassin came down from above, and struck Gray in a downwards kick to his sternum knocking him back, and threw some kunai at me forcing me to duck, the blades narrowly scraping my hair.

Natsu, who had managed to get himself free, then came charging out of the corner towards the assassin "Bastard!" he roared as he clenched his fists, igniting them with flames.

The assassin then crossed his arms and from his gloves, six large blades extended from them. "Now, come forth my starving claws and feed!" he roared back as he shot straight at Natsu.

The two swung at each other using their fists and claws trying to land a hit while dodging until in a few high and speedy jumps via staircases, our enemy had jumped to the roof. I immediately jumped into the air using Aqua Jet shooting myself all the way to the roof landing on it, and when I saw the assassin, I summoned forth a pair of my water swords and with a yell, shot towards him, ready to have my turn to fight.

The cloaked figure met my swords with his claws, and the two of us engaged in a blade fight, swiping with our swords and using our skills to try and get the upper hand. I would swipe with a left, and he would dodge to the right, and he would try and cut me with a right and I would block and counter with a left. The two of us then swung at each other one more time, and our blades clashed together resulting in a stalemate as we both gazed grimly at each other, until we pushed away from each other gaining distance. At that moment, Natsu and Gray hopped on the roof making the battle once again three against one.

"So you waited for us, eh?" Natsu scowled. "You're gonna wish that you hadn't!"

"Fairy Tail, is it?" the masked assassin questioned as he stared at us.

The cloaked figure's shadows began to bend under the moonlight. Then, the cloaked figure disappeared into them much to our surprise. The three of us rushed to where the stranger had vanished, thinking that he would attack from somewhere else, but everything as still and quiet.

"He's gone," observed Gray.

"I don't suppose either of you two knew who that guy was," I said to the pair.

"You got me," Natsu replied.

NO POV

Meanwhile, back with Lucy's group, Lucy was trying to question Éclair for answers, while Mira kept an eye out for other attackers.

"So, do you know why he was after you?" Lucy asked. "Or did this trigger some kind of memory at least? If you know, then please tell me."

Éclair couldn't respond, nor did she know.

Then, Natsu and Gray came running up to them.

"Hey, are you guys all right?" Natsu asked.

"And what was that about?" Gray also asked.

Lucy then stood up. "I don't know, but someone's after her," she replied. "Though I'm not sure why."

Then Natsu and Gray stared at Lucy, appearing to be immensely surprised, their cheeks glowing pink. Éclair and Mira were also blushing, while Momon's beak hung open dubiously.

Lucy felt puzzled. "What? What is it?" she asked.

Happy then flew up to her, desperately trying to keep from giggling. "Say, Lucy, aren't you feeling a breeze out here? You're looking quite arousing right now."

Lucy then looked down at herself and soon realized why everyone was staring at her. As she straightened up, the towel wrapped around her body had come undone and now her nude body was completely exposed for everyone to see, causing her to let out an embarrassed and shrill scream as she crouched down trying to hide her body.

"Gray, your freaky stripping habit's never been contagious, hasn't it?" Natsu gulped.

"If it is, I could think of worse things," Gray replied.

"Close your eyes, you perverts!" Lucy squealed as she threw a pebble at the two.

Then from above, a voice called down to them.

"Hey, you guys! Is everything okay?! I heard Lucy scream again!"

Everyone looked up and saw Willy swooping down towards them about to land. Then, suddenly, Mira grabbed the towel from where Lucy dropped it, and then threw it making it smack directly into Willy's face. Feeling surprised as well as blinded, Willy flailed about in the air, and flew straight into a clothesline becoming entangled in the process. He fell straight to the ground skipping a couple of times like a pebble on the water, and then crash-landed straight to the wall. Everyone stared at where Willy crashed, unsure of what had just happened, then Mira walked over to Lucy kneeling down while placing a hand on her shoulder, a smile plastered on her face, yet filled with malice and intent.

"Lucy, you're not trying to get naked on purpose, are you?" Mira asked sweetly. "Because this is quite the show you're putting on."

"M-Mira? Why are you looking at me like that?" Lucy spoke with a hint of fear. "And why would you think I'm doing this on purpose?!"

"Yeah, and did you just throw a towel at Willy?" asked Natsu. "You know you made him crash, you know!"

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Mira spoke innocently. "I didn't do anything of the sort."

"But we just saw you," everyone else thought to themselves.

Willy then emerged from the pile of clothing shaking his head to get the dizziness out. "What the heck just happened?" he moaned while holding his head.

Mira then came over to Willy and helped him to his feet. "Don't worry, Willy. One of the towels that were hanging from a clothesline hit you. Quite the unfortunate accident, right?"

Before anyone else could object, Mira glanced over at the others and gave them that same malice-filled smile causing them to agree with her out of fear.

"Y-Yep! Definitely an unfortunate accident!" yelped Gray.

"Poor Willy! He should be more careful!" added Natsu nervously.

"I don't think I've ever seen Mira this angry before," Lucy spoke to Happy quietly. "I thought Erza was supposed to be the Ms. scary and dominant."

"Wonder if she's getting cranky from hunger or something," suggested Happy. "Maybe she needs a fish or something."

"Of course you would say that," Lucy griped crossly. "But somehow I don't think that's the reason for her behavior."

WILLY'S POV

After a while, we all regrouped into Erza's room and explained what happened to her group.

"So this assassin was after Éclair?" Erza spoke. "Did anyone get a good look at the assailant?"

"Not really. He was hiding under a cloak and wore a white mask," Gray said. "He disappeared before we could get a better look at him."

"He was pretty skilled and smart though," I said. "He knew that he couldn't take on all three of us, so he was wise to run away. Not to mention, with all the magic in this city, I can't track him down with my Aqua Sense."

"But why was he after you, Éclair?" wondered Lucy looking across to her. "Has this ever happened before?"

"No. It hasn't. Nor have I ever seen that man before in my life," Éclair spoke quietly. "However, I do have an idea as to what he wanted."

"What would that be?" wondered Mira.

Éclair dug into her dress, and took out something that she wore around her neck. It appeared to be half of a round stone that was colored a glossy gray, and had a weird emblem on it that looked like a bird held by a metal clamp.

Éclair took off the clamp from the stone and showed it to us. "I think that this must be what my pursuer was after," she said.

"He wanted that stone?" Lucy asked, puzzled as well as curious.

"I do sense a peculiar power emanating from it," commented Carla.

"Yes. I'm supposed to give this stone to someone by the name of Kalard," went on Éclair. "That's all I can remember."

"This Kalard," Erza spoke thoughtfully. "The name seems unfamiliar to me."

"So what's the deal with that stone anyway, Éclair?" inquired Natsu. "D'ya know what's so special about it?"

Éclair shook her head.

"She told me that she has no memory of its significance," said Momon. "But she's had it for as long as she can remember."

Éclair returned her gaze to the stone in her hand. "My past is like an untouched canvas, blank and empty," she spoke quietly. "White nothingness spreading out with nothing to remind me of who I am or the reason why I kept going. But recently, I've started to remember things bit by bit, and I think that this stone may hold a clue about my past."

"I betcha this Kalard guy knows somethin' about this," Natsu suggested. "We gotta go find him and ask."

"Do you know where this Kalard guy is?" Happy asked Éclair.

"Yes, I do, but I'm not quite sure who he is, or even if what he looks like," Éclair replied, as she put the stone back in its clamp around her neck. "But I have to go there, even if it's too late to see him."

"And that's the reason why you wanted to go the Boundary Forest," asked Mira. "Because that's where Kalard is, that correct?"

Éclair looked and answered with a nod. I then stood up going over to Éclair.

"If that's what we have to do, then you'll need our help now more than ever," I told her. "Therefore, I propose that someone stay up and keep watch until morning, just in case if the enemy attacks again."

"That is a sound idea," said Erza. "But who should be the one to stand guard over them?"

"Since I was the one that came up with the idea, I should be the one to do it," I said.

"But Willy, are you sure you're going to be able to stay up?" asked Wendy. "I mean you'll be staying up all night."

"I'm aware, but I'll be alright," I told Wendy. "Besides, if there are more people after Éclair, we have to be prepared for anything. So I'll be staying with Lucy and Éclair's room and watch over them."

"If that's the case, then I'll stay up with you," said Mira. "As they say, two wizards are stronger than one."

"But I ordered four rooms already," objected Erza. "If you two do stay in one room, then we'll be wasting the fourth for nothing!"

"It's alright, Erza. I'm sure it'll be fine," Mira spoke. "Besides, it's for Éclair. Unless there's some sort of problem.

She then looked across to Erza and Erza looked back at her. At that moment, I felt a chill run through my spine as I sensed an ominous energy coming from Mira. Natsu and the others also cringed appearing to also be a bit fearful. There was a long silence.

Then Erza conceded. "Very well then. Mira and Willy will stay with Lucy and Éclair for the night and keep watch while the rest of us sleep."

As we all went back to our respective rooms, I spoke to Mira, so that only she could hear me.

"Mira, is everything okay?" I asked her. "You seem to be acting a bit strange as of late."

"Me? Strange? Nope. I'm doing just fine, Willy," Mira spoke with an earnest smile. "I'm just the same as I've always been."

Somehow, I didn't feel too sure about what she had said, however, I didn't say anything more as I along with everyone else left Erza's room to get some sleep, as I prepared for a sleepless night.

NO POV

When Natsu and the others left their room, Wendy, and Carla looked across to Erza, both of them feeling a bit unnerved and confused.

"I wonder what that was all about?" wondered Wendy. "Mira was definitely acting strange, don't you think?"

"Strange? More like acting completely abnormal," said Carla. "She was giving off so much intent, even I felt a shiver go down my spine. What on Earth could have caused her to act in such a way?"

"I think I may have an idea," said Erza. "It's something that even Mira goes through, but I didn't expect her of all people to act in such a way."

"And what's that, Erza?" wondered Wendy.

The redhead looked across to Wendy and her white exceed, and gave them a gentle smile. "Let's just say that Mira's instincts as a woman are starting to blossom."

Wendy and Carla looked across to each other, both feeling confused, while Erza couldn't help but chuckle, beside herself with glee. At first, she tried to keep herself composed, but she felt so excited, and due to being a romantic, she couldn't contain herself and let out a fit of giggles, much to Carla's and Wendy's shock.

"Good gracious!" exclaimed Carla. "First, Mira, and now Erza? What is going on in the world?"

"I don't know, but I'm starting to get worried, Carla," Wendy squeaked as she trembled with fright. "If this is what I have to go through when I start to blossom as a woman, then I don't want any part of it!"
