Gunner whined, reaching for his mama from the highchair.
"Nope, you were mean to me, so I'm going to feed my other baby," Jess ignored her son's fussing, "Ah," she opened her mouth for Miguel to mimic so she could put a tamale in his mouth.
Mig snickered at being used as a taunt.
"See how nice he eats," she turned her shoulder up, "He doesn't bite me or slap his food away."
"You two having fun," Peter walked over with his own plate, "Hi Gunner. Is your mommy being obvious on who her favorite is?"
"He's getting on my nerves," she stuck a tongue out to the baby as he kicked up more of a fuss, "If you think you can be nice I guess I'll feed you now," she rolled her eyes and turned, trying again with the baby food.
Mig smirked, reaching for his food, instead getting the tamale put back at his mouth.
"Don't worry, I'll finish feeding you," Pete laughed, borderline stuffing the food in his friend's face with one hand, and holding out a fork with waffle on it for May with the other, "She's going through a phase where she only want to eat breakfast food."
"I mean, pancakes and waffles," Jess agreed, "And eggs are good anytime of day."
"I'm not saying she's wrong, just saying," he pointed out, "And is Jess kind enough to still babysit for me tonight. Because date night?"
"As long as you return the favor tomorrow," she remarked.
"Of course," he nodded eagerly, "It's been a while since we had date night."
"What are you guys doing tonight? Friday we're going to a little concert and for food."
"Probably just a movie and dinner, since I'm not rich like some people," he handed Mayday another piece.
"Why don't you two do a double date?" Mig suggested, grabbing his next tamale.
X
"Where did you get these two from?" Gabe held Gunner.
Mig held Mayday on his shoulders as they walked the aisles of the store, "I'm watching them for friends."
"How are you going to babysit with nothing in the house?" Gabe scoffed, "Do you even still live there?"
"Occasionally," he remarked, grabbing a box of cereal to go along with the other stuff, "We're shopping now, so there will be food. Just get what you want."
Gabe narrowed his eyes at his brother.
"What? What!?"
"How are we supposed to hang out if you have to babysit?" he huffed, patting the boy's back.
"We're hanging out now."
"I don't want to hang out at the grocery store!"
"Stop shouting," he rolled his eyes, "We're getting food, I'm going home to feed us all. And then we'll proceed from there. Are you really being jealous of some infants?"
"Y'know, I don't like how judgemental you sound."
"I'm asking a simple question," Miguel shrugged, not hiding his smirk from his glaring little brother, "Love you, Gabri."
"Lub oo!" the redhead repeated.

The brothers were joining in some run of the mill banter explosion shook the block. Miguel quickly grabbed his brother and the kids, turning his back to it. He winced as several bricks pelted him.
"You're gonna be mad, but work," he activated his suit before webbing a nearby building, "Hold tight."
Gabe gripped his brother's neck for dear life as they ascended several dozen feet into the air. Mayday enjoyed herself while Gunner was left in awe, looking down at the pavement below.
"I'm not feeling this!" Gabe complained as Miguel attempted to place him on top of a building. Instead a fire hydrant was thrown at them, causing evasive maneuvers to be required.
Miguel cursed in Spanish, running to the other side of the building, gripping May in one arm and his brother and Gunner in the other. He managed to put them safely on the roof, "Find your way down, I'll draw him away and you drive home."
Gabe sat shaken, holding both babies as his brother jumped off to deal with the baddie of the day.
"Back again?" he shot several webs at Doc Oc, "It would be great to have a nice normal day when I come back to my dimension. What happened to those?"
"Stand aside, fool," the tentacled villain warned, "You will not impede my progress this time, web slinger."
"The way you said that felt almost like a slur," Miguel shot, pinning one of the tentacles as it swung at him.
This served to annoy Oc, "Stay out of my way!"
"When has that ever happened?" Miguel shot several more webs, serving to annoy him further as he gave the spiderman his full attention.
X
"I gotta move to a safer city," Gabe complained, rushing down the stairs, "Stupid freaks and this crap. I just wanted a nice day with my brother," he quickly set May in the front seat so he could put Gunner in his carseat. He could see some nonsense happening where he needed evasive movement, "You too, little girl," he grabbed her.
"Miggy!" she squealed.
"What about Miggy?" he looked to where she was pointing, seeing his brother getting thrown into a building. That wasn't good!
X
"Can't take the hint can you?" One of his tentacles whipped Miguel across his backside
"OW! What is with the obsession with my a$$?!" he struggled to pull his arms free of the suckers.
"Still trying to fight me?" Oc had the hero upside down by the ankle.
"I was until you started making things weird," he used his talons to claw at the suckers gripping him.
The doctor didn't like that, immediately recoiling in pain, "You d mn insolent-!"
He was cut off by being plowed into by a car.
"Ey ya!?" Miguel saw his vehicle now atop his enemy, "Why can't you listen!?" he lifted the car off, "Go home, I have it under control!"
"I was trying to help!" Gabe complained.
"[With the kids!?]" 2099 demanded in spanish, "[Go home!]" he could hear the villain slowly coming to, "[Right now!]" He quickly webbed Doc's face, to make sure he couldn't see the car or any of it's passengers, "I think you were telling me that we weren't finished," he grabbed a tentacle, throwing the blue skinned man into a building.

Miguel held an ice pack to his head as he chewed his stir fry, watching the kids casually play super hero and fight against his feet.
"Do you need an MRI or an Xray?" Gabe fret over his brother's wellbeing, "You got thrown really hard."
"Yeah, that happens," he gently kicked his long legs as the kids giggled.
"Miggy, seriously!?"
"Can you please stop yelling?" he begged, "Just eat and stop worrying about me, I'm fine."
Gabe began to say something else when his brother unceremoniously picked him up, pulling him onto his lap.
"Open," Miguel demanded, putting food against his lips. When Gabe looked at him half confused and half concerned, opening his mouth, "Now bite." He handed him the garlic bread once he obeyed, leaning back against his couch, "Shut up, eat the food, stop worrying about me. And whichever one of you two that is, stop attempting to eat my toesies!"
The babies giggled at his comment, going back to punching and slapping his foot.
"You make it really difficult not to," Gabe muttered, continuing to eat, "Kidnapping random kids and then all that. It's amazing you have a spine at all."
Mig swatted his brother's rear, startling him, "I said stop with the lecturing me. I get enough of that from everyone else."
