"Shh," May held a finger up, imitating Miguel.
"Exactly. We don't tell spider mommy about doc oc," he agreed, getting the two ready to go back to their respective parents.
It had been nice being in his dimension for the better part of a week, seeing his brother, getting repairs and other work done. The kids liked the little play area he set up to keep them busy. May really loved the slide, while Gunner and Gabri were more partial to the ballpit. It was a real party when the building blocks came out.
While his younger brother initially wasn't overly fond of sharing his quality weekend with some rugrats, he had as much fun as they did. Getting to build towers and pillow forts with Miguel brought him such a nostalgic sense of ease. It was made all the better by Miguel having an expression of genuine glee as well and not a forced happiness.
But eventually the kids had to go back, and so did Miguel and Gabe.
"This baby is fat," Gabe playfully tapped Gunner's little tummy, "Look at where all that food went."
Mayday toddled over, deciding to join in the fun by blowing raspberries into Gunner, leading him to squeal even louder in delight.
"Did someone have fun, despite sharing their weekend?" Mig teased his brother.
"Looked a lot like that to me," Lyla floated above them, recording the interactions between little ones.
Gabe turned his freckled nose up, "They can come back. They're very good company," he smiled, pinning both babies down for a tickle fight.
"I'm happy you had fun," he smiled, and playfully rubbing his brother's head.
"Wherever you've been, you sure have come back…different."
"Have I?"
"Yah, you're more happy, that's obvious. But you're kinda more affectionate," Gabe spoke before getting attacked by a crawler and a little ginger snap.
Miguel paused, thinking about that comment, "Well. I feel better," he stated. Almost unsure.
"I like seeing this side of you," He stood tossing Mayday a few times before doing the same with Gunner.

Mig stalked about HQ, looking for Jess and Peter. He'd sent a message informing them that it would be easier to pass both kids off at once here.
"There he is," Peter waved, "Hey, Mayday, did you have fun with Miggy?"
"Miggy!" she repeated, reaching for her dad, "Pow, pow!"
"You got some fighting in? Awesome!" he held her upside down like she loved, "Did you take good care of him and put him down for his nap?"
"No nap!" she blew raspberries.
"So mean," he scoffed, patting Miguel on the top of his high dome, "Thank you so so much for watching her."
"It was no problem. Where is Jess?"
"She's in the quiet room," Pete tapped the man's nose, "And we actually have a surprise in there for you. You can see it now if you want. But you'll probably work first."
"Yes, I have to check some things," he nodded, going to deliver the other one.
"Well then," Pete cut him off, taking Gunner, "I'll deliver him. Don't want to ruin the surprise. You have to be able to sit and enjoy it. If you're working you won't be able to." It was obvious he was trying to entice Miguel. And despite 2099's best efforts, it was working.
"Well what's my surprise?" he followed.
"If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise," he smirked, walking a little faster.
"I don't like surprises," Miguel commented, keeping pace.
Pete practically started jogging, "Then you shouldn't be too bothered by not having it yet."
2099 stamped his foot, "Tell me what it is!"
"Yeah, you seem real uninterested in your surprise."
He watched Pete go with a sour look, "Fine! I don't need to know, it doesn't bother me at all!" he lied, "I'm going to my office."

Mig kicked his leg impatiently as he prepared the dimension he was going to. What could they have for him? Was it good? Was it food? Darn he wanted to know!
Lyla sat on his head, bending down to stare into his frown, "You curious?"
"No," he turned, reading over what he needed to do in this dimension again, "Who am I getting to go with me here? Apparently not Jess since her and Parker are busy hiding things from me."
"It's ok to admit you're curious."
"Who?"
"I bet it's some nice little gift for you helping out like a good boy," She appeared on the monitor in front of him, "Maybe even a friend to go with Alfredo?"
Miguel prepared to say something to her but was startled by a voice behind him.
"Whose Alfredo?" Miles asked from behind the giant.
"Jesus Cristo!?" He nearly jumped out of his skin, "Why are you up here?!"
"Peter told me I was supposed to be on a mission with you."
Mig recomposed himself before turning back to monitor, "Is he planning on coming this time too?"
The teen shrugged, "He didn't say he was. He just told me to tell you to hurry before your surprise gets cold."
D mn you Parker! Miguel pinched the bridge of his nose in one of his trademark annoyed looks, "Ok, we're dealing with a goblin variant. Think you'll be able to pull it off?"
"Will it be any worse than that sea monster Gwen, me and Ben fought?" he scoffed.
"Time to find out," he opened the portal, throwing Miles through it before jumping in himself.
"What is with you and throwing me!?"
"It's fun," he shrugged.
X
Mig grunted as he and Miles were thrown into a wall. Rather Miles was thrown into, then Miguel thrown into him, sending them both through it.
"I wish you had spider sense," the teen groaned.
"It doesn't look like it helped you," he rolled off, quickly getting back on his feet to run in, "Keep up."
"I can say the same of you," Miles jumped on Miguel's back to propel himself forward.
Goblin cackled, throwing explosives at them, "Is this really the best you have?"
"What can I say, Tio is tired," Miles shot him.
"Unlike you, I was watching kids, not being one," he scoffed, catching a bomb in his web and sending it back to the goblin.
"Sounds like you're saying you're old," the teen snickered.
"Excuse me for not being 12."
"I'm 16, I can apply for a job!"
The villain flew about, attempting to dodge their website and fist, "What are you two going on about?"
"This is an internal issue, not applicable to you," Miguel drug his claws across the bottom of the hoverboard, destroying its stabilizing and causing goblin to wobble.
"Exactly! A and B conversation!" Miles kicked the man in the chest, knocking him off.
Despite falling the goblin managed to throw one more bomb, it ricocheting. 2099 pulled Miles' foot, getting him out of the way and taking the majority of the explosion. His suit absorbed most of it, but was damaged and malfunctioning now in certain places.
"Hey, you good?" The teen looked him over. His eyes managed to fall on part of 2099's hip where his suit was damaged.
"I'm fine," he sighed, exhausted, not noticing his nappy peeking out of the malfunction.
"Strawberries?"
Mig cocked his head to the side, "Qué cosa?"
"[Strawberry print]?" He clarified in Spanish, pointing to his own waist.
The giant looked down, realizing what he meant. Oh no. Oh this was not getting out.
X
Miles grunted, pinned against the wall. This was familiar.
"Wait, listen!" He pushed at Miguel's beefy arm.
Red eyes bore down on him, "You tell ANYONE!"
Acting quick Miles separated his shirt from his pants, exposing his Spiderman print pull ups.
The plan worked and Miguel released him, "Uh.. huh."
"I won't tell if you dont."
"Kinda vain to have ones with your own print," he mumbled.
"Says the guy who has a burger with his face on it. Want people to eat you that badly?"
Mig held a finger up, "I didn't suggest it, I just approved it. And shut up."
