Jess quietly sang as the sound of suckling filled the room. Greedy boy, acting like he never eats. She shook her head as she ran the side of finger against his cheek.
"You're massive," Jess commented, patting his bent knee, "Is it good, blushy baby?"
"Mmm. Mm hm," Miguel commented, focusing on the task at hand.
It was a good thing he put this daybed in the quiet room. At least he could nurse comfortably and not have to kneel like the first time.
She wasn't dumb. It was easy to put together why he had gotten so mad at Hobie for taking his name off the creamer and why Jess kept feeling like she was missing a couple bags of milk. He denied it of course, but it was easy to call him out just by asking to taste the creamer.
It wasn't upsetting to her. But if he wanted milk, he could get it straight from the source. And Virgil was right, when Miguel was done she actually felt far less full.
Was pretty hard at first, considering he wasn't nearly as compact as the infant that would nurse before him. They managed to make it work after some trial and error, that's all that mattered.

Once he finished with one of his new favorite pastimes, Miguel decided to walk the floors of HQ, slowly back to his office. And Jess had a prior arrangement. So it was back to him and the few others he had.
"Hey Miguel," Margo called.
"Yea?"
"Uhm…You're not gonna like this."
"I already don't. What happened and why?"
Lyla pulled up some information that made his face fall, "How the h3ll did this happen!?" He stared at the charts in awe, there were at least 25 new holes to be fixed. And Jess just left!
"I don't know, there was a sudden spike," Margo told him, "I sent alerts to Peter and the guys already to help."
"God d*mmit!" he stalked to his office faster, "Please send me the information on what hole is where so I can assign them out."
"Look at you, still sharing the labor after all these months. Mommy isn't even here to remind you. I bet she's just so proud."
Normally he would respond to that with some kind of growl on how he didn't have time for sarcasm or just shoo her away. But something about that sentence made him light up a little, "Don't bother her, I have enough competent help for once."
"Yo!" Peter swung over, "This can't be right? Not so close to naptime."
"If you can't help, stay here and deal with May," the leader hurried to his office.
"I meant naptime for both of you," he remarked, "I can help, of course. But the numbers aren't right, right?"
Before he could answer Ben started following, "I guess we enjoyed our break a bit too much. India is still in school, so there's that."
"Well then we'll just have the blondes work together, and Peter you can work with-"
"Oi, I don't need a chaperone," Hobie informed the man.
"Like h3ll you don't" he scoffed, "You work with Ben and Gwen. Peter, you and Miles are with me."
"Why you always trying to separate me and my bud?!" the rocker complained.
Miguel pinched the bridge of his nose, "Is this really the time for that?"
"You want to work with him so much," he glared, "What for?"
"I've worked with him like 3 times!" he shook his head, "Lyla, please."
"Seems like more than that," he muttered.
"Do you want to help or do you need to stay behind?" Pete sighed, "You've been working with Miles a lot too. Do you want to work with me and Miguel instead?"
"No, I just don't understand why Gwendy can't work with you," Hobie crossed his arms.
"Either work with your team or stay here, I don't have time for your antics," Miguel opened a portal.
Hobie glared at Pete, expecting the man to do something. Anything to actually help.
"You can work with Miles next time, we don't have time for ingroup bickering. A lot of work just came in," Peter tried to pacify him some. He could already sense his taller friend starting to heat up.
The wickhead huffed, going to join Gwen and Ben.
"What the shock is his shocking problem lately?" Miguel huffed, "Where's Miles?"
"Right here," The teen landed on the giant's tall shoulders.
"We're leaving," he stepped through the portal.

"Your friend is being more annoying than usual," Mig told Miles as he grabbed several people from being crushed by debris.
"Yea, I know," Miles nodded, "He's been kinda clingy lately. I'm not sure why."
"You're not the best liar," Pete dodged some projectiles before swinging back in the fight.
Mig just gave the boy a look. He had his mask on, but Miles knew the look he was getting.
"Ok, look," he hopped on his back again, whispering in Spanish, "[He was putting my clothes or whatever away while I was out and found out about my…well…stuff]."
"[That's not great]," he clawed several projectiles.
"[He's been kinda funny since then]," Miles webbed the villain's feet to the ground.
Funny being code for borderline attached to Miles at the waist. Always being so cuddly and affectionate. Which wasn't bad in and of itself, it was when he started acting possessive whenever Miguel attempted to interact with him.
"Sorry about it. He's going hard on big brother energy," he shrugged, switching back to English.
"Right," Miguel let his mask up and bit the back of the neck of the last baddie, "That was tedious."
He took pause, recognizing this villain. This was one of his annoying villains. How the shock was he here? This was going to be a major headache. Mig shook his head, tossing Packrat on his shoulder.
"So it boils down to your little friend is pissy with me because he wants to play baby with you and I'm not invited?"
The teen sighed, rubbing his forehead, "I'll talk to him and set up some boundaries."
"It would be appreciated," he rolled his eyes, "On to the next ones."
"We're not doing all 25 right now, right?" Peter asked in a tone that was warning to Miguel. They just got him to properly take breaks.
Mig gave him a look, rolling his eyes, "I'll pace myself."

"This is your dimension?" Miles looked around.
"It's ok," he dropped the chump off at the police department before swinging off, "How many more holes you think can get done before your Mami and mine are done with girl time? He gave the boy a wry smirk.
"Pete didn't seem like he wanted us doing more than three," Miles smirked back.
Mig snickered, "You don't care very much about rules or authority."
"I think you got me mixed up with someone cooler," he smiled, "But, if Mami and Jess are talking and have a baby, I think we have quite a bit of time."
"Make the best of it," he opened the portal again.

"We have to have a day for the kids to play," Rio poured Jess another drink as her husband bounced Gunner on his knee.
"I absolutely agree. I took mine on a nature walk not too long ago and he had such a good time. But it's getting cold, maybe we can take the kids to an art museum. I know your baby is such a good artist. And we can make it a mommy day!" she thanked her for the drink
"That's a pretty good idea," Jeff commented, playfully punching the squealing infant, "Miles would probably love that."
"And don't feel left out," Jess turned her attention to Jeff, "I'll bring my husband so you, him, and GG can hang out too."
"Well, I mean, I don't think I can handle him by myself," he joked about the baby.
"You two just have so much in common."
