"Arms up," Rio pulled Miles' sweater over his head, "I've always loved this little sweater. Why don't you ever wear it?" she tapped the sunflower stitches.

Today was the long awaited day for her and Jess to take their boys out for a mommy and me day and she was so excited.

"Where are we going, anyway?" The teen leaned against his mom's chest as she picked his hair for him.

"A few places. I know the first one you'll just love," she smiled, grabbing a few diapers to put in her purse.

"I don't need all those," he grumbled in embarrassment, "We're gonna be near bathrooms."

"It's only two," she dismissed, "We're going to be out for a while. Accidents happen, so we have to be prepared."

Miles sulked, watching her pack a few more items. At least the day was finally here, so mom could stop gushing and he could stop racking his brain on what they were doing. Dad didn't even help since he was sworn to secrecy.

"Do you want a snack before we go?"

"What snack?" He followed her to the kitchen.

"You can have fruit, a yogurt, Graham crackers," she pointed out, checking her phone and making sure that everything was set up with Jeff for him and his visitor.

"I think I'll be fine," the cop teased his wife, "Focus on the fun you're going to have with the boy," he scratched his son's head, sneaking him a cookie.

"I know, it's just been a while since we've made new friends. I need to make a good impression."

The bell rang.

"They're here! Jeff, put his shoes on," Rio rushed to the door, buzzing them up.

"Buen día!" She smiled, opening the door for the family, "You must be Virgil."

"Buen día to you too," he gave the woman a smile, holding his hand out to shake hers, "You must be Rio. Wonderful to meet you and put a face to my wife's new friend."

"I can't say the same, as I've seen a few pictures of you," she smiled, pulling him into the house, "This is Miles and Jefferson."

Virgil shook the teen's hand, "Hey buddy, nice to meet you."

"Hey there, nice to meet you," Jeff gave the man a firm handshake, "Jefferson."

"Virgil," he met him with the same energy, "I hear you were trying to take Gunner. I'm going to tell you now, I will only pay you 100 dollars and no take backs."

The cop looked at him confused before laughing, "That's barely two months of diapers."

"Please," Virgil begged, "He's cute and all, but I miss sleeping through the night. Bloody teething is killing me. At least my other boy lets me sleep."

Summoned inside, Miguel walked in awkwardly.

"Ah, you're Miguel," Rio looked up, "The pictures didn't do you any justice either. You are far taller than expected. It's nice to meet you, I'm Rio, Miles' mami. And this is his daddy, Jefferson."

Mig looked at the man momentarily before he averted his eyes, "It's nice to meet you both."

"Don't be shy," Jessica chided her six foot nine baby, "Hey Jeff. I told you I was going to leave you with that mess. You think you can handle it?"

Jeff nodded, shaking Miguel's hand, "I think I can give it a go. Think you can handle those two?"

"Oh, trust me, I got it," she leaned into her husband's chest, "Have fun with daddy, beat him up, ok?" She kissed her baby.

Gunner kicked in his carrier, excitedly yanking one of his daddy's dreadlocks hard, leaving Virgil to wince in pain.

"Say bye to your brother and daddy," Jess barely finished before Miguel grabbed the baby's hand and kissed him on his forehead. Then hugged Virgil.

"Don't you be mean to my boy either," the man pointed to his spider wife, before patting Miguel's head, "You let me know if she's mean, I'll cook lentils, that'll teach her a lesson."

Jess gagged at the idea. Miles took the opportunity to hug his own dad goodbye.

"Have fun, babe," Jess shook her head, stealing Miguel back from him and led the troop out.

"So," Virgil pulled his hair from the baby, "I hear you like sports."

"Where are we going?" Miles leaned over and whispered to Miguel.

"I don't know anything either. I just woke up and was told, 'pick your clothes, we're going out' and next thing I know we're driving through a portal."

"I just thought of something. You have baby sized watches?"

Mig shrugged, "Well, yea. But Gunner didn't need one. Virgil didn't either."

The teen gave his friend a raised brow, "What else have you been working on? When were cars able to go through portals?"

"Did you just not notice that she always rides her motorcycle?" He referred to his surrogate mom.

"Ok, true."

"We're here boys," Rio called into the backseat.

Miles looked at where they were and recognized it immediately, "Ohhhh! Mami!"

Rio smiled at him bouncing in his seat and shaking Miguel's arm, "I told you, you would like it," she glanced to Jess, "He hasn't been to the Met in a while."

Jess parked the car and they got their respective children out.

"I have an important assignment for both of you," spider-mom told them, "Each of you has to choose at least two paintings to redraw in your own style."

Miles nodded eagerly, "OK, ok, come on," he gently pulled his mom to the entrance.

Jess smiled, holding her hand out for her boy to take. Which he gladly did, "Alright, sweet boy, ready to have fun?"
