Jeff watched his wife's reflection in the mirror as she picked between earrings. She chose his outfit already, so there was no brainwork for him, just get his tie situated. She chose a satin orange one, to match her dress.

"Are you going to be ok by yourself, Papa?" Rio fret over her little boy, "I'm sure I can still find some where you can go. Do you want to go to your friend's? The one who lives with his Abeula?"

"I'll be fine ma," Miles reassured her.

"Let me call Jess real quick. She can bring Miguel over so you don't have to be alone," his mom quickly ran for her phone.

"Mami."

"How long is this going to be?" Jeff brushed his hair, checking the time.

His wife ignored him as she spoke over the phone.

Miles just looked at his dad with a cringe. Jeff shrugged at his son's groaning.

"Miguelito is going to come with Gunner, so you'll have some company," she took a comb, picking his hair for him.

"Mami, I'm ok," he complained, squirming in her hold.

"Hush, mami just doesn't want you to be lonely," she kissed his cheek.

Miles sighed, continuing to sit on his parents' bed and watch his mom fret and prim herself and her husband.

"I don't want to goooo!" Virgil whined in an elevated pitch, dancing in place like an unhappy toddler.

"Shut up, fool," Jess snapped, ringing the bell, "You're going to enjoy it."

"Mommy is being so mean to me," He mockingly sobbed, hugging his tall son's side, "Don't you want to trade with daddy? And go see the ballet?"

Mig smiled at the man's complaining. He was clearly playing it up just to annoy Jess and judging by how she narrowed her eyes at him it was working.

"Hello, oh you look stunning!" Rio checked out her friend's outfit, "Red is really your color."

Jess had a beautiful red trench coat over a velvet bodycon ankle length dress. Virgil himself had a black trench coat, though it was unbuttoned to expose his red turtleneck.

"I could say the same to you, sexy mama," Jess took her hand and raised her arm, "do a spin."

Rio spun, her flowy dress flaring out.

"Ohh! Go get my belt. Looking too good," she teased, "Miles, did you tell your mommy how pretty she is?"

The teen shrugged with a crooked smile on his face, "She's ok."

She rolled her eyes, "Jefferson, you letting her leave the house this gorgeous?"

"You know, I have to show her off occasionally. Let them know," he smiled at his wife, "You're looking rather nice yourself. Hey Homie, what's up," he pulled Virgil into a rough hug.

"My wife is making me be cultured. It's like being at home all over again," he groaned, reciprocating the hug.

"Hi Miguelito, thank you for coming to stay with Miles," Rio rubbed the side of the giant's head and tapped Gunner's nose with her's, "I'm sure you three are going to have a wonderful time."

"No problem, I was just going to be home bored, I suppose," he smiled down at her.

"Left some money with the boy so you guys can order food," Jeff slapped his shoulder, "Alright, son, we're heading out."

"Bye Dad, bye mami," Miles gave them both quick hugs, "Love you both."

"Don't open the door for anyone," Rio reminded, "And don't eat too much. And-"

Jeff picked his wife up, turning her away, "If you two go out, be safe."

Rio shouted something at them both in Spanish, that Jess agreed with

"Have fun, be good," Spider-mom gave her boys kisses.

"Have a good time," Virgil waved, pulling the door closed.

Miguel looked down to the teenager, "How's it going?"

"They finally left," he sighed, locking up, "Told them I was fine."

"Aww, I'm disappointed," He mock pouted, setting the toddler down, "Here I was minding my business, watching a documentary on Disney, when Mami threw a bag at me and said you were lonely."

"I was fine!"

"Here I'm thinking you were crying in a torrent of loneliness. Pulled at my hero strings."

He groaned, Gunner handing him a moon rattle before going to grab another toy, "What do you want to do?"

"Want to go for a walk?"

X

It was still chilly, but not terrible.

"They hate when I walk when it's dark," Miles sighed, taking in some nice crisp evening air as GG waved the rattle around, "Want to see some stuff I tagged?"

"Sure." He allowed the teen to lead him to a few of his favorite spots.

"Uncle Aaron and I used to tag together."

"You're a very good artist," Mig looked at the museum of graffiti, "You both did all this?"

"Not all of it. You want to try some?"

"Uhm…yea, but not when we have GG. I don't want the fumes to bother him," he looked at No Expectations, "This one is really cool."

"Yeah…that's the last one Uncle Aaron and I started, I actually got to finish it with dad."

Miguel recognized the sadness behind the smile, "It's really nice. Probably one of my favorites."

"Thanks, mine too."

The taller man pulled the baby from the carrier, handing him off to Miles, "Think they're having a good time?"

He snickered, getting a big hug and kiss from Gunner, "Our dads didn't seem too enthused."

X

Jefferson glanced to Virgil. They had been tricked, it wasn't actually a ballet so much as a visual orchestra. Again, Virgil hated how often Jess was right!

*silent ping*

Having fun over there?

Are you not!? Listen to that cello!

It's pretty good. And to think, I was planning on making Rio go to a football game as payback.

I was thinking wrestlemania.

Virgil and Jeff laughed quietly, getting back to enjoying the shadows that danced to the music.

"What are we picking up?"

"What do you have a taste for? Other than empanadas," Miles checked his phone for menus.

"I do have a variety of food in my diet," he pressed down on the teens head, "Does Big Boy sell Gyros?"

"Yea, they're pretty good. You wanna take it home or…"

In the midst of their conversation screams could be heard picking up as well as tires screeching.

"What fresh h3ll is this?" Miguel bounced the baby on his chest.

A green creature hissed, searching about the city as he whipped the police cars away.

"Looks like we have an anomaly"

"Yeah, noted," Miguel and Peter ran to an alley to change into their suits.

"Maybe you should go home, after all, you have to babysit," Miles pulled his mask down.

With his suit up Miguel climbed the wall, "Your mom would probably kill me. I'm between a rock and a hard place," he jumped immediately into the fray.

"Keep up!"
