"That's surprisingly warm," Miles tensed.

"He should have been asleep two hours ago," 2099 gently applied the cream to Mile's bruises.

"Dude, he hit me with his d mn tail and I heard my ancestors singing hymns," The teen tried to rock the fussy baby, "Come on, Gunner, it's time to go night night," he held the bottle for him.

Mig snickered, rubbing some of it on his face, "Yeah, I'm pretty sure I heard them too. Ok, give him to me."

Miles passed Gunner off, trading for the cream, "I'm starving…"

"Same," 2099 sighed, patting GG's side as he laid against his chest.

The adults laughed, enjoying their wine.

"Look, I may not have gone pro, but I had a chance," Jeff chuckled, cutting into his ribeye.

"I believe it," Jess grabbed his arm, "Look at that muscle, still there."

"It used to be bigger, I over domesticated him," Rio teased.

"The guns are still there, I just have them a little more insulated. Y'know I get so cold in the winter," he nudged Virgil.

"Yeah, I hear New York winters can be brutal," Static chuckled.

Jess paused her laughing, trouble was coming.

Virgil noticed her change and watched the entrance.

Four armed men entered wearing masks.

"Alright! Everyone, hands up!" One of them yelled, shooting off two rounds in the ceiling.

Several people yelled in fear and surprise.

"Stop all that shouting! Just do what we tell you and you'll be fine. Keep your hands up."

The thugs started going through the restaurant and taking jewelry, purses and wallets.

Virgil barely glanced at them as he sipped his wine.

"Hey! I said hands up!"

"Bro, can you do this another day? It's date night," he complained.

Rio glanced to her husband as they both kept their hands up.

"Virgil," Jefferson whispered.

"What?"

"You think you funny?" A gunman came near to the dredhead, "huh?"

"Yes, I've been told I should do stand up. Money isn't consistent enough," he smiled, clearly taunting the man as he aimed his gun at him.

"Hands up."

"C'mon bro, I'm trying to enjoy a nice night with my wife and friends," his tone was a bit more insistent that time.

"Virgil," Jeff hissed at him, "Not the time."

"What?"

"Do what he says and stop acting a fool!"

"Listen to your boy," the thief told him, "stand up, we running those pockets," he snatched Jessica's purse.

"Babe, I asked nice. I was so nice I asked twice."

"You did," Jess whispered back.

"You still talking!?" The thug grabbed Virgil's arm, immediately convulsing before hitting the floor.

The sound alerted the other thugs, who barely had time to react as their guns were snatched in Jessica's webbing.

"Y'all are ruining my date!" he shot lightning out of his hands, dropping all the thugs into twitching piles, "I'm trying to get laid here."

Jeff and Rio stared as he attempted to sit.

"Ugh, there's a chump at my seat," he stood, pulling the guy towards his friends as Jess webbed all their hands.

"Excuse me," Spider-woman called, "Can I have another glass of water?"

"More wine for me," Virgil added.

"People sure are friendly here," Jess smiled at the bottles of wine they were given.

"If I'd have known they would have given us our food for free I'd have asked for more ice cream," Static rubbed his belly.

"Fat," She hopped in the car, "how you two doing? Not too shaken up, I hope."

"Only slightly more excitement than the hospital," Rio remarked.

"Seems like we got a double feature," the officer leaned against the headrest.

"Past your bedtime, huh grandpa?" The younger man teased, getting flipped the bird.

"I hope the boys had a more relaxing night than us," Rio gripped her husband's hand.

Jeff was contemplating throwing something at Virgil and didn't respond to what his wife had said at first, "I'm sure their night was better. Don't worry about them."

"Want me to call Bubs when we get closer?" Virgil checked his phone.

"I want you to put your foot on the ground while I'm driving. But yeah, when we get closer."

"We're home, Papa," Rio slipped out of her shoes at the door. She nearly stepped on a plate, "oh this kid."

She fussed in Spanish, picking up the dishes, taking them to the counter. Leaving nonsense on the floor and the tv was still going.

Jeff stretched, slipping his tie off and looking at the mess. Looks like they ended up just throwing some food on the stove or something.

"Looks like there was a party here," Virgil looked around, "Where are my boys at?"

"Found 'em," Jeff nodded to the living room.

All three had fallen asleep on the couch. Baby Gunner asleep, nestled in the center of his big brother's bosom and Miles asleep on Miguel's left side, sandwiched between the giant and back of the couch.

Mami Morales couldn't be mad seeing them cuddled up on the couch. Just look at her precious boy! And his adorable little bear paci. Ugh.

Rio leaned down, gifting him a kiss on the head.

Jeff took the remote, cutting off the spinning Hulu logo, "He forgot his bonnet."

"If you want you can leave them, they look so comfy," Rio gushed, taking a few pictures.

"Let's see," Jess smoothed her taller child's hair back, "Hey, Pumpkin, time to go home."

Miguel mumbled something, mindlessly pulling the blankets more over the two bodies lying atop him.

"You want to stay on the couch?"

Another mumbling of something.

"Well, I guess he says he's trying to sleep and doesn't appreciate being bothered," she kissed him and GG'S heads.

"You two go on, we'll send them both home to you," she waved, "We've got to make this a monthly thing. Not always a fancy thing, but just a double date each month."

"Yes!" Jess agreed, "We have to just make plans. And the boys seemed fine off, so it's probably a nice break for them too."

"Well, I think it's only fair that us guys choose the next place," Static held a finger up, "And its also fair that we let you both get to sleep, I know granddad is fighting for his life."

Jefferson shook his head, putting the wine away for later.
